The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?(nasb) Psa 27:1 τοῦ Δαυιδ πρὸ τοῦ χρισθῆναι κύριος φωτισμός μου καὶ σωτήρ μου τίνα φοβηθήσομαι κύριος ὑπερασπιστὴς τῆς ζωῆς μου ἀπὸ τίνος δειλιάσω (lxx) Psa 27:1 [Vulgate 26:1] David Dominus lux mea et salutare meum quem timebo Dominus fortitudo vitae meae quem formidabo(vulgate) Psa 27:1 (Ein Psa lm Davids.) Der HERR ist mein Licht und mein Heil; vor wem sollte ich mich fürchten! Der HERR ist meines Lebens Kraft; vor wem sollte mir grauen!(dhs) Psa 27:1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:2 ============ Psa 27:2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.(nasb) Psa 27:2 ἐν τῷ ἐγγίζειν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ κακοῦντας τοῦ φαγεῖν τὰς σάρκας μου οἱ θλίβοντές με καὶ οἱ ἐχθροί μου αὐτοὶ ἠσθένησαν καὶ ἔπεσαν (lxx) Psa 27:2 [Vulgate 26:2] cum adpropinquarent mihi maligni ut comederent carnem meam hostes mei et inimici mei ipsi inpigerunt et ceciderunt(vulgate) Psa 27:2 So die Bösen, meine Widersacher und Feinde, an mich wollen, meine Fleisch zu fressen, müssen sie anlaufen und fallen.(dhs) Psa 27:2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:3 ============ Psa 27:3 Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident.(nasb) Psa 27:3 ἐὰν παρατάξηται ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ παρεμβολή οὐ φοβηθήσεται ἡ καρδία μου ἐὰν ἐπαναστῇ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ πόλεμος ἐν ταύτῃ ἐγὼ ἐλπίζω (lxx) Psa 27:3 [Vulgate 26:3] si steterint adversus me castra non timebit cor meum si surrexerit contra me bellum in hoc ego confidam(vulgate) Psa 27:3 Wenn sich schon ein Heer wider mich legt, so fürchtet sich dennoch mein Herz nicht; wenn sich Krieg wider mich erhebt, so verlasse ich mich auf ihn.(dhs) Psa 27:3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war should rise against me, In this I will be confident.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:4 ============ Psa 27:4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.(nasb) Psa 27:4 μίαν ᾐτησάμην παρὰ κυρίου ταύτην ἐκζητήσω τοῦ κατοικεῖν με ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς μου τοῦ θεωρεῖν με τὴν τερπνότητα τοῦ κυρίου καὶ ἐπισκέπτεσθαι τὸν ναὸν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 27:4 [Vulgate 26:4] unum petivi a Domino hoc requiram ut habitem in domo Domini omnibus diebus vitae meae ut videam pulchritudinem Domini et adtendam templum eius(vulgate) Psa 27:4 Eins bitte ich vom HERRN, das hätte ich gerne: daß ich im Hause des HERRN bleiben möge mein Leben lang, zu schauen die schönen Gottesdienste des HERRN und seinen Tempel zu betrachten.(dhs) Psa 27:4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:5 ============ Psa 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.(nasb) Psa 27:5 ὅτι ἔκρυψέν με ἐν σκηνῇ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κακῶν μου ἐσκέπασέν με ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ ἐν πέτρᾳ ὕψωσέν με (lxx) Psa 27:5 [Vulgate 26:5] abscondet enim me in umbra sua in die pessima abscondet me in secreto tabernaculi sui(vulgate) Psa 27:5 Denn er deckt mich in seiner Hütte zur bösen Zeit, er verbirgt mich heimlich in seinem Gezelt und erhöht mich auf einem Felsen,(dhs) Psa 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:6 ============ Psa 27:6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.(nasb) Psa 27:6 καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ ὕψωσεν τὴν κεφαλήν μου ἐπ᾽ ἐχθρούς μου ἐκύκλωσα καὶ ἔθυσα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ αὐτοῦ θυσίαν ἀλαλαγμοῦ ᾄσομαι καὶ ψαλῶ τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) Psa 27:6 [Vulgate 26:6] in petra exaltabit me nunc quoque exaltabit caput meum super inimicos meos qui sunt in circuitu meo et immolabo in tabernaculo eius hostias iubili cantabo et psallam Domino(vulgate) Psa 27:6 und wird nun erhöhen mein Haupt über meine Feinde, die um mich sind; so will ich in seiner Hütte Lob opfern, ich will singen und lobsagen dem HERRN.(dhs) Psa 27:6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:7 ============ Psa 27:7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me.(nasb) Psa 27:7 εἰσάκουσον κύριε τῆς φωνῆς μου ἧς ἐκέκραξα ἐλέησόν με καὶ εἰσάκουσόν μου (lxx) Psa 27:7 [Vulgate 26:7] audi Domine vocem meam invocantis miserere mei et exaudi me(vulgate) Psa 27:7 HERR, höre meine Stimme, wenn ich rufe; sei mir gnädig und erhöre mich!(dhs) Psa 27:7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:8 ============ Psa 27:8 When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O Lord, I shall seek."(nasb) Psa 27:8 σοὶ εἶπεν ἡ καρδία μου ἐζήτησεν τὸ πρόσωπόν μου τὸ πρόσωπόν σου κύριε ζητήσω (lxx) Psa 27:8 [Vulgate 26:8] tibi dixit cor meum quaesivit vultus meus faciem tuam Domine et requiram(vulgate) Psa 27:8 Mein Herz hält dir vor dein Wort: "Ihr sollt mein Antlitz suchen." Darum suche ich auch, HERR, dein Antlitz.(dhs) Psa 27:8 When You said, "Seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:9 ============ Psa 27:9 Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation!(nasb) Psa 27:9 μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ μὴ ἐκκλίνῃς ἐν ὀργῇ ἀπὸ τοῦ δούλου σου βοηθός μου γενοῦ μὴ ἀποσκορακίσῃς με καὶ μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς με ὁ θεὸς ὁ σωτήρ μου (lxx) Psa 27:9 [Vulgate 26:9] ne abscondas faciem tuam a me ne declines in furore tuo a servo tuo auxilium meum fuisti ne derelinquas me et ne dimittas me Deus salvator meus(vulgate) Psa 27:9 Verbirg dein Antlitz nicht vor mir und verstoße nicht im Zorn deinen Knecht; denn du bist meine Hilfe. Laß mich nicht und tue nicht von mir die Hand ab, Gott, mein Heil!(dhs) Psa 27:9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:10 ============ Psa 27:10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the Lord will take me up.(nasb) Psa 27:10 ὅτι ὁ πατήρ μου καὶ ἡ μήτηρ μου ἐγκατέλιπόν με ὁ δὲ κύριος προσελάβετό με (lxx) Psa 27:10 [Vulgate 26:10] pater enim meus et mater mea dereliquerunt me Dominus autem collegit me(vulgate) Psa 27:10 Denn mein Vater und meine Mutter verlassen mich; aber der HERR nimmt mich auf.(dhs) Psa 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:11 ============ Psa 27:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a level path Because of my foes.(nasb) Psa 27:11 νομοθέτησόν με κύριε τῇ ὁδῷ σου καὶ ὁδήγησόν με ἐν τρίβῳ εὐθείᾳ ἕνεκα τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου (lxx) Psa 27:11 [Vulgate 26:11] ostende mihi Domine viam tuam et deduc me in semita recta propter insidiatores meos(vulgate) Psa 27:11 HERR, weise mir deinen Weg und leite mich auf richtiger Bahn um meiner Feinde willen.(dhs) Psa 27:11 Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:12 ============ Psa 27:12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.(nasb) Psa 27:12 μὴ παραδῷς με εἰς ψυχὰς θλιβόντων με ὅτι ἐπανέστησάν μοι μάρτυρες ἄδικοι καὶ ἐψεύσατο ἡ ἀδικία ἑαυτῇ (lxx) Psa 27:12 [Vulgate 26:12] ne tradas me Domine animae tribulantium me quoniam surrexerunt contra me testes falsi et apertum mendacium(vulgate) Psa 27:12 Gib mich nicht in den Willen meiner Feinde; denn es stehen falsche Zeugen gegen mich und tun mir Unrecht ohne Scheu.(dhs) Psa 27:12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:13 ============ Psa 27:13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.(nasb) Psa 27:13 πιστεύω τοῦ ἰδεῖν τὰ ἀγαθὰ κυρίου ἐν γῇ ζώντων (lxx) Psa 27:13 [Vulgate 26:13] ego autem credo quod videam bona Domini in terra viventium(vulgate) Psa 27:13 Ich glaube aber doch, daß ich sehen werde das Gute des HERRN im Lande der Lebendigen.(dhs) Psa 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 27:14 ============ Psa 27:14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.(nasb) Psa 27:14 ὑπόμεινον τὸν κύριον ἀνδρίζου καὶ κραταιούσθω ἡ καρδία σου καὶ ὑπόμεινον τὸν κύριον (lxx) Psa 27:14 [Vulgate 26:14] expecta Dominum confortare et roboretur cor tuum et sustine Dominum(vulgate) Psa 27:14 Harre des HERRN!
