To him who lacks understanding she says,(nasb) Pro 9:4 ὅς ἐστιν ἄφρων ἐκκλινάτω πρός με καὶ τοῖς ἐνδεέσι φρενῶν εἶπεν (lxx) Pro 9:4 Si quis est parvulus, veniat ad me. Et insipientibus locuta est:(vulgate) Pro 9:4 "Wer verständig ist, der mache sich hierher!", und zum Narren sprach sie:(dhs) Pro 9:4 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:5 ============ Pro 9:5 "Come, eat of my food And drink of the wine I have mixed.(nasb) Pro 9:5 ἔλθατε φάγετε τῶν ἐμῶν ἄρτων καὶ πίετε οἶνον ὃν ἐκέρασα ὑμῖν (lxx) Pro 9:5 Venite, comedite panem meum, et bibite vinum quod miscui vobis.(vulgate) Pro 9:5 "Kommet, zehret von meinem Brot und trinket den Wein, den ich schenke;(dhs) Pro 9:5 "Come, eat of my bread And drink of the wine I have mixed.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:6 ============ Pro 9:6 "Forsake your folly and live, And proceed in the way of understanding."(nasb) Pro 9:6 ἀπολείπετε ἀφροσύνην καὶ ζήσεσθε καὶ ζητήσατε φρόνησιν ἵνα βιώσητε καὶ κατορθώσατε ἐν γνώσει σύνεσιν (lxx) Pro 9:6 Relinquite infantiam, et vivite, et ambulate per vias prudentiæ.]~(vulgate) Pro 9:6 verlaßt das unverständige Wesen, so werdet ihr leben, und gehet auf dem Wege der Klugheit."(dhs) Pro 9:6 Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:7 ============ Pro 9:7 He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself.(nasb) Pro 9:7 ὁ παιδεύων κακοὺς λήμψεται ἑαυτῷ ἀτιμίαν ἐλέγχων δὲ τὸν ἀσεβῆ μωμήσεται ἑαυτόν (lxx) Pro 9:7 [Qui erudit derisorem, ipse injuriam sibi facit, et qui arguit impium, sibi maculam generat.(vulgate) Pro 9:7 Wer den Spötter züchtigt, der muß Schande auf sich nehmen; und wer den Gottlosen straft, der muß gehöhnt werden.(dhs) Pro 9:7 "He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:8 ============ Pro 9:8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.(nasb) Pro 9:8 μὴ ἔλεγχε κακούς ἵνα μὴ μισῶσίν σε ἔλεγχε σοφόν καὶ ἀγαπήσει σε (lxx) Pro 9:8 Noli arguere derisorem, ne oderit te: argue sapientem, et diliget te.(vulgate) Pro 9:8 Strafe den Spötter nicht, er haßt dich; strafe den Weisen, der wird dich lieben.(dhs) Pro 9:8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:9 ============ Pro 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.(nasb) Pro 9:9 δίδου σοφῷ ἀφορμήν καὶ σοφώτερος ἔσται γνώριζε δικαίῳ καὶ προσθήσει τοῦ δέχεσθαι (lxx) Pro 9:9 Da sapienti occasionem, et addetur ei sapientia; doce justum, et festinabit accipere.(vulgate) Pro 9:9 Gib dem Weisen, so wird er noch weiser werden; lehre den Gerechten, so wird er in der Lehre zunehmen.(dhs) Pro 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; She is simple, and knows nothing.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:14 ============ Pro 9:14 She sits at the doorway of her house, On a seat by the high places of the city,(nasb) Pro 9:14 ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ θύραις τοῦ ἑαυτῆς οἴκου ἐπὶ δίφρου ἐμφανῶς ἐν πλατείαις (lxx) Pro 9:14 sedit in foribus domus suæ, super sellam in excelso urbis loco,(vulgate) Pro 9:14 die sitzt in der Tür ihres Hauses auf dem Stuhl, oben in der Stadt,(dhs) Pro 9:14 For she sits at the door of her house, On a seat by the highest places of the city,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:15 ============ Pro 9:15 Calling to those who pass by, Who are making their paths straight:(nasb) Pro 9:15 προσκαλουμένη τοὺς παριόντας καὶ κατευθύνοντας ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν (lxx) Pro 9:15 ut vocaret transeuntes per viam, et pergentes itinere suo:(vulgate) Pro 9:15 zu laden alle, die vorübergehen und richtig auf ihrem Wege wandeln:(dhs) Pro 9:15 To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their way:(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 9:16 ============ Pro 9:16 "Whoever is naive, let him turn in here," And to him who lacks understanding she says,(nasb) Pro 9:16 ὅς ἐστιν ὑμῶν ἀφρονέστατος ἐκκλινάτω πρός με ἐνδεέσι δὲ φρονήσεως παρακελεύομαι λέγουσα (lxx) Pro 9:16 Qui est parvulus declinet ad me.
