Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 49:1 ============ Isa 49:1 Listen to Me, O islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me.(nasb) Isa 49:1 ἀκούσατέ μου νῆσοι καὶ προσέχετε ἔθνη διὰ χρόνου πολλοῦ στήσεται λέγει κύριος ἐκ κοιλίας μητρός μου ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομά μου (lxx) Isa 49:1 [Audite, insulæ, et attendite, populi de longe: Dominus ab utero vocavit me; de ventre matris meæ recordatus est nominis mei.(vulgate) Isa 49:1 Höret mir zu, ihr Inseln, und ihr Völker in der Ferne, merket auf! Der HERR hat mich gerufen von Mutterleib an; er hat meines Namens gedacht, da ich noch im Schoß der Mutter war,(dhs) Isa 49:1 "Listen, O coastlands, to Me, And take heed, you peoples from afar! The Lord has called Me from the womb; From the matrix of My mother He has made mention of My name.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:2 ============ Isa 49:2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.(nasb) Isa 49:2 καὶ ἔθηκεν τὸ στόμα μου ὡσεὶ μάχαιραν ὀξεῖαν καὶ ὑπὸ τὴν σκέπην τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ ἔκρυψέν με ἔθηκέν με ὡς βέλος ἐκλεκτὸν καὶ ἐν τῇ φαρέτρᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐσκέπασέν με (lxx) Isa 49:2 Et posuit os meum quasi gladium acutum, in umbra manus suæ protexit me, et posuit me sicut sagittam electam: in pharetra sua abscondit me.(vulgate) Isa 49:2 und hat meinen Mund gemacht wie ein scharfes Schwert; mit dem Schatten seiner Hand hat er mich bedeckt; er hat mich zum glatten Pfeil gemacht und mich in seinen Köcher gesteckt(dhs) Isa 49:2 And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:3 ============ Isa 49:3 He said to Me, "You are My Servant, Israel, In Whom I will show My glory."(nasb) Isa 49:3 καὶ εἶπέν μοι δοῦλός μου εἶ σύ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν σοὶ δοξασθήσομαι (lxx) Isa 49:3 Et dixit mihi: Servus meus es tu Israël, quia in te gloriabor.(vulgate) Isa 49:3 und spricht zu mir: Du bist mein Knecht Israel, durch welchen ich will gepriesen werden.(dhs) Isa 49:3 "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:4 ============ Isa 49:4 But I said, "I have toiled in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity; Yet surely the justice due to Me is with the Lord, And My reward with My God."(nasb) Isa 49:4 καὶ ἐγὼ εἶπα κενῶς ἐκοπίασα καὶ εἰς μάταιον καὶ εἰς οὐδὲν ἔδωκα τὴν ἰσχύν μου διὰ τοῦτο ἡ κρίσις μου παρὰ κυρίῳ καὶ ὁ πόνος μου ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ μου (lxx) Isa 49:4 Et ego dixi: In vacuum laboravi; sine causa et vane fortitudinem meam consumpsi: ergo judicium meum cum Domino, et opus meum cum Deo meo.(vulgate) Isa 49:4 Ich aber dachte, ich arbeite vergeblich und brächte meine Kraft umsonst und unnütz zu, wiewohl meine Sache des Herrn und mein Amt meines Gottes ist.(dhs) Isa 49:4 Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the Lord, And my work with my God.' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:5 ============ Isa 49:5 And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the Lord, And My God is My strength),(nasb) Isa 49:5 καὶ νῦν οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ πλάσας με ἐκ κοιλίας δοῦλον ἑαυτῷ τοῦ συναγαγεῖν τὸν Ιακωβ καὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς αὐτόν συναχθήσομαι καὶ δοξασθήσομαι ἐναντίον κυρίου καὶ ὁ θεός μου ἔσται μου ἰσχύς (lxx) Isa 49:5 Et nunc dicit Dominus, formans me ex utero servum sibi, ut reducam Jacob ad eum, et Israël non congregabitur; et glorificatus sum in oculis Domini, et Deus meus factus est fortitudo mea.(vulgate) Isa 49:5 Und nun spricht der HERR, der mich von Mutterleib an zu seinem Knechte bereitet hat, daß ich soll Jakob zu ihm bekehren, auf daß Israel nicht weggerafft werde (darum bin ich dem HERRN herrlich, und mein Gott ist mein Stärke),(dhs) Isa 49:5 "And now the Lord says, Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, So that Israel is gathered to Him (For I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, And My God shall be My strength),(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:6 ============ Isa 49:6 He says, "It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth."(nasb) Isa 49:6 καὶ εἶπέν μοι μέγα σοί ἐστιν τοῦ κληθῆναί σε παῖδά μου τοῦ στῆσαι τὰς φυλὰς Ιακωβ καὶ τὴν διασπορὰν τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐπιστρέψαι ἰδοὺ τέθεικά σε εἰς διαθήκην γένους εἰς φῶς ἐθνῶν τοῦ εἶναί σε εἰς σωτηρίαν ἕως ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς (lxx) Isa 49:6 Et dixit: Parum est ut sis mihi servus ad suscitandas tribus Jacob, et fæces Israël convertendas: ecce dedi te in lucem gentium, ut sis salus mea usque ad extremum terræ.(vulgate) Isa 49:6 und spricht: Es ist ein Geringes, daß du mein Knecht bist, die Stämme Jakobs aufzurichten und die Bewahrten Israels wiederzubringen; sondern ich habe dich auch zum Licht der Heiden gemacht, daß du seist mein Heil bis an der Welt Ende.(dhs) Isa 49:6 Indeed He says, 'It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:7 ============ Isa 49:7 Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, To the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers, "Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You."(nasb) Isa 49:7 οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ ῥυσάμενός σε ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἁγιάσατε τὸν φαυλίζοντα τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ τὸν βδελυσσόμενον ὑπὸ τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν δούλων τῶν ἀρχόντων βασιλεῖς ὄψονται αὐτὸν καὶ ἀναστήσονται ἄρχοντες καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν αὐτῷ ἕνεκεν κυρίου ὅτι πιστός ἐστιν ὁ ἅγιος Ισραηλ καὶ ἐξελεξάμην σε (lxx) Isa 49:7 Hæc dicit Dominus, redemptor Israël, Sanctus ejus, ad contemptibilem animam, ad abominatam gentem, ad servum dominorum: Reges videbunt, et consurgent principes, et adorabunt propter Dominum, quia fidelis est, et Sanctum Israël qui elegit te.]~(vulgate) Isa 49:7 So spricht der HERR, der Erlöser Israels, sein Heiliger, zu der verachteten Seele, zu dem Volk, das man verabscheut, zu dem Knecht, der unter den Tyrannen ist: Könige sollen sehen und aufstehen, und Fürsten sollen niederfallen um des HERRN willen, der treu ist, um des Heiligen in Israel willen, der dich erwählt hat.(dhs) Isa 49:7 Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:8 ============ Isa 49:8 Thus says the Lord, "In a favorable time I have answered You, And in a day of salvation I have helped You; And I will keep You and give You for a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages;(nasb) Isa 49:8 οὕτως λέγει κύριος καιρῷ δεκτῷ ἐπήκουσά σου καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ σωτηρίας ἐβοήθησά σοι καὶ ἔδωκά σε εἰς διαθήκην ἐθνῶν τοῦ καταστῆσαι τὴν γῆν καὶ κληρονομῆσαι κληρονομίαν ἐρήμου (lxx) Isa 49:8 [Hæc dicit Dominus: In tempore placito exaudivi te, et in die salutis auxiliatus sum tui: et servavi te, et dedi te in fœdus populi, ut suscitares terram, et possideres hæreditates dissipatas;(vulgate) Isa 49:8 So spricht der HERR: Ich habe dich erhört zur gnädigen Zeit und habe dir am Tage des Heils geholfen und habe dich behütet und zum Bund unter das Volk gestellt, daß du das Land aufrichtest und die verstörten Erbe austeilest;(dhs) Isa 49:8 Thus says the Lord: "In an acceptable time I have heard You, And in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth, To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:9 ============ Isa 49:9 Saying to those who are bound, 'Go forth, 'To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.'Along the roads they will feed, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.(nasb) Isa 49:9 λέγοντα τοῖς ἐν δεσμοῖς ἐξέλθατε καὶ τοῖς ἐν τῷ σκότει ἀνακαλυφθῆναι καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν βοσκηθήσονται καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς τρίβοις ἡ νομὴ αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 49:9 ut diceres his qui vincti sunt: Exite, et his qui in tenebris: Revelamini. Super vias pascentur, et in omnibus planis pascua eorum.(vulgate) Isa 49:9 zu sagen den Gefangenen: Geht heraus! und zu denen in der Finsternis: Kommt hervor! daß sie am Wege weiden und auf allen Hügeln ihr Weide haben.(dhs) Isa 49:9 That You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth,' To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:10 ============ Isa 49:10 "They will not hunger or thirst, Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down; For He who has compassion on them will lead them And will guide them to springs of water.(nasb) Isa 49:10 οὐ πεινάσουσιν οὐδὲ διψήσουσιν οὐδὲ πατάξει αὐτοὺς καύσων οὐδὲ ὁ ἥλιος ἀλλὰ ὁ ἐλεῶν αὐτοὺς παρακαλέσει καὶ διὰ πηγῶν ὑδάτων ἄξει αὐτούς (lxx) Isa 49:10 Non esurient neque sitient, et non percutiet eos æstus et sol, quia miserator eorum reget eos, et ad fontes aquarum potabit eos.(vulgate) Isa 49:10 Sie werden weder hungern noch dürsten, sie wird keine Hitze noch Sonne stechen, denn ihr Erbarmer wird sie führen und wird sie an die Wasserquellen leiten.(dhs) Isa 49:10 They shall neither hunger nor thirst, Neither heat nor sun shall strike them; For He who has mercy on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water He will guide them.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:11 ============ Isa 49:11 "I will make all My mountains a road, And My highways will be raised up.(nasb) Isa 49:11 καὶ θήσω πᾶν ὄρος εἰς ὁδὸν καὶ πᾶσαν τρίβον εἰς βόσκημα αὐτοῖς (lxx) Isa 49:11 Et ponam omnes montes meos in viam, et semitæ meæ exaltabuntur.(vulgate) Isa 49:11 Ich will alle meine Berge zum Wege machen, und meine Pfade sollen gebahnt sein.(dhs) Isa 49:11 I will make each of My mountains a road, And My highways shall be elevated.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:12 ============ Isa 49:12 "Behold, these will come from afar; And lo, these will come from the north and from the west, And these from the land of Sinim."(nasb) Isa 49:12 ἰδοὺ οὗτοι πόρρωθεν ἔρχονται οὗτοι ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ οὗτοι ἀπὸ θαλάσσης ἄλλοι δὲ ἐκ γῆς Περσῶν (lxx) Isa 49:12 Ecce isti de longe venient, et ecce illi ab aquilone et mari, et isti de terra australi.(vulgate) Isa 49:12 Siehe, diese werden von ferne kommen, und siehe, jene von Mitternacht und diese vom Meer und jene von Lande Sinim.(dhs) Isa 49:12 Surely these shall come from afar; Look! Those from the north and the west, And these from the land of Sinim."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:13 ============ Isa 49:13 Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted.(nasb) Isa 49:13 εὐφραίνεσθε οὐρανοί καὶ ἀγαλλιάσθω ἡ γῆ ῥηξάτωσαν τὰ ὄρη εὐφροσύνην καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ δικαιοσύνην ὅτι ἠλέησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ταπεινοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ παρεκάλεσεν (lxx) Isa 49:13 Laudate, cæli, et exsulta, terra; jubilate, montes, laudem, quia consolatus est Dominus populum suum, et pauperum suorum miserebitur.]~(vulgate) Isa 49:13 Jauchzet, ihr Himmel, freue dich, Erde, lobet, ihr Berge, mit Jauchzen; denn der HERR hat sein Volk getröstet und erbarmt sich seiner Elenden.(dhs) Isa 49:13 Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:14 ============ Isa 49:14 But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, And the Lord has forgotten me."(nasb) Isa 49:14 εἶπεν δὲ Σιων ἐγκατέλιπέν με κύριος καὶ ὁ κύριος ἐπελάθετό μου (lxx) Isa 49:14 [Et dixit Sion: Dereliquit me Dominus, et Dominus oblitus est mei.(vulgate) Isa 49:14 Zion aber spricht: Der HERR hat mich verlassen, der HERR hat mein vergessen.(dhs) Isa 49:14 But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:15 ============ Isa 49:15 "Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.(nasb) Isa 49:15 μὴ ἐπιλήσεται γυνὴ τοῦ παιδίου αὐτῆς τοῦ μὴ ἐλεῆσαι τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας αὐτῆς εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐπιλάθοιτο ταῦτα γυνή ἀλλ᾽ ἐγὼ οὐκ ἐπιλήσομαί σου εἶπεν κύριος (lxx) Isa 49:15 Numquid oblivisci potest mulier infantem suum, ut non misereatur filio uteri sui? Etsi illa oblita fuerit, ego tamen non obliviscar tui.(vulgate) Isa 49:15 Kann auch ein Weib ihres Kindleins vergessen, daß sie sich nicht erbarme über den Sohn ihres Leibes? Und ob sie desselben vergäße, so will ich doch dein nicht vergessen.(dhs) Isa 49:15 "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:16 ============ Isa 49:16 "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.(nasb) Isa 49:16 ἰδοὺ ἐπὶ τῶν χειρῶν μου ἐζωγράφησά σου τὰ τείχη καὶ ἐνώπιόν μου εἶ διὰ παντός (lxx) Isa 49:16 Ecce in manibus meis descripsi te; muri tui coram oculis meis semper.(vulgate) Isa 49:16 Siehe, in die Hände habe ich dich gezeichnet; deine Mauern sind immerdar vor mir.(dhs) Isa 49:16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:17 ============ Isa 49:17 "Your builders hurry; Your destroyers and devastators Will depart from you.(nasb) Isa 49:17 καὶ ταχὺ οἰκοδομηθήσῃ ὑφ᾽ ὧν καθῃρέθης καὶ οἱ ἐρημώσαντές σε ἐκ σοῦ ἐξελεύσονται (lxx) Isa 49:17 Venerunt structores tui; destruentes te et dissipantes a te exibunt.(vulgate) Isa 49:17 Deine Baumeister werden eilen; aber deine Zerbrecher und Verstörer werden sich davonmachen.(dhs) Isa 49:17 Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:18 ============ Isa 49:18 "Lift up your eyes and look around; All of them gather together, they come to you. As I live," declares the Lord, "You will surely put on all of them as jewels and bind them on as a bride.(nasb) Isa 49:18 ἆρον κύκλῳ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδὲ πάντας ἰδοὺ συνήχθησαν καὶ ἤλθοσαν πρὸς σέ ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος ὅτι πάντας αὐτοὺς ἐνδύσῃ καὶ περιθήσῃ αὐτοὺς ὡς κόσμον νύμφης (lxx) Isa 49:18 Leva in circuitu oculos tuos, et vide: omnes isti congregati sunt, venerunt tibi. Vivo ego, dicit Dominus, quia omnibus his velut ornamento vestieris, et circumdabis tibi eos quasi sponsa;(vulgate) Isa 49:18 Hebe deine Augen auf umher und siehe: alle diese kommen versammelt zu dir. So wahr ich lebe, spricht der HERR, du sollst mit diesen allen wie mit einem Schmuck angetan werden und wirst sie um dich legen wie eine Braut.(dhs) Isa 49:18 Lift up your eyes, look around and see; All these gather together and come to you. As I live," says the Lord, "You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all as an ornament, And bind them on you as a bride does.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:19 ============ Isa 49:19 "For your waste and desolate places and your destroyed land" Surely now you will be too cramped for the inhabitants, And those who swallowed you will be far away.(nasb) Isa 49:19 ὅτι τὰ ἔρημά σου καὶ τὰ διεφθαρμένα καὶ τὰ πεπτωκότα νῦν στενοχωρήσει ἀπὸ τῶν κατοικούντων καὶ μακρυνθήσονται ἀπὸ σοῦ οἱ καταπίνοντές σε (lxx) Isa 49:19 quia deserta tua, et solitudines tuæ, et terra ruinæ tuæ, nunc angusta erunt præ habitatoribus; et longe fugabuntur qui absorbebant te.(vulgate) Isa 49:19 Denn dein wüstes, verstörtes und zerbrochenes Land wird dir alsdann zu eng werden, darin zu wohnen, wenn deine Verderber fern von dir weichen,(dhs) Isa 49:19 "For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:20 ============ Isa 49:20 "The children of whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, 'The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.'(nasb) Isa 49:20 ἐροῦσιν γὰρ εἰς τὰ ὦτά σου οἱ υἱοί σου οὓς ἀπολώλεκας στενός μοι ὁ τόπος ποίησόν μοι τόπον ἵνα κατοικήσω (lxx) Isa 49:20 Adhuc dicent in auribus tuis filii sterilitatis tuæ: Angustus est mihi locus; fac spatium mihi ut habitem.(vulgate) Isa 49:20 daß die Kinder deiner Unfruchtbarkeit werden noch sagen vor deinen Ohren: Der Raum ist mir zu eng; rücke hin, daß ich bei dir wohnen möge.(dhs) Isa 49:20 The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears, 'The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.'(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:21 ============ Isa 49:21 "Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has begotten these for me, Since I have been bereaved of my children And am barren, an exile and a wanderer? And who has reared these? Behold, I was left alone; From where did these come?'"(nasb) Isa 49:21 καὶ ἐρεῖς ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου τίς ἐγέννησέν μοι τούτους ἐγὼ δὲ ἄτεκνος καὶ χήρα τούτους δὲ τίς ἐξέθρεψέν μοι ἐγὼ δὲ κατελείφθην μόνη οὗτοι δέ μοι ποῦ ἦσαν (lxx) Isa 49:21 Et dices in corde tuo: Quis genuit mihi istos? ego sterilis et non pariens, transmigrata, et captiva; et istos quis enutrivit? ego destituta et sola; et isti ubi erant?(vulgate) Isa 49:21 Du aber wirst sagen in deinem Herzen: Wer hat mir diese geboren? Ich war unfruchtbar, einsam, vertrieben und verstoßen. Wer hat mir diese erzogen? Siehe, ich war allein gelassen; wo waren denn diese?(dhs) Isa 49:21 Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has begotten these for me, Since I have lost my children and am desolate, A captive, and wandering to and fro? And who has brought these up? There I was, left alone; But these, where were they?' They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth And lick the dust of your feet; And you will know that I am the Lord; Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.(nasb) Isa 49:23 καὶ ἔσονται βασιλεῖς τιθηνοί σου αἱ δὲ ἄρχουσαι τροφοί σου ἐπὶ πρόσωπον τῆς γῆς προσκυνήσουσίν σοι καὶ τὸν χοῦν τῶν ποδῶν σου λείξουσιν καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος καὶ οὐκ αἰσχυνθήσῃ (lxx) Isa 49:23 Et erunt reges nutritii tui, et reginæ nutrices tuæ; vultu in terram demisso adorabunt te, et pulverem pedum tuorum lingent. Et scies quia ego Dominus, super quo non confundentur qui exspectant eum.(vulgate) Isa 49:23 Und Könige sollen deine Pfleger, und ihre Fürstinnen deine Säugammen sein; sie werden vor dir niederfallen zur Erde aufs Angesicht und deiner Füße Staub lecken. Da wirst du erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, an welchem nicht zu Schanden werden, die auf mich harren.(dhs) Isa 49:23 Kings shall be your foster fathers, And their queens your nursing mothers; They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, And lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:24 ============ Isa 49:24 "Can the prey be taken from the mighty man, Or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?"(nasb) Isa 49:24 μὴ λήμψεταί τις παρὰ γίγαντος σκῦλα καὶ ἐὰν αἰχμαλωτεύσῃ τις ἀδίκως σωθήσεται (lxx) Isa 49:24 Numquid tolletur a forti præda? aut quod captum fuerit a robusto, salvum esse poterit?(vulgate) Isa 49:24 Kann man auch einem Riesen den Raub nehmen? oder kann man dem Gerechten seine Gefangenen losmachen?(dhs) Isa 49:24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, Or the captives of the righteous be delivered?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:25 ============ Isa 49:25 Surely, thus says the Lord, "Even the captives of the mighty man will be taken away, And the prey of the tyrant will be rescued; For I will contend with the one who contends with you, And I will save your sons.(nasb) Isa 49:25 οὕτως λέγει κύριος ἐάν τις αἰχμαλωτεύσῃ γίγαντα λήμψεται σκῦλα λαμβάνων δὲ παρὰ ἰσχύοντος σωθήσεται ἐγὼ δὲ τὴν κρίσιν σου κρινῶ καὶ ἐγὼ τοὺς υἱούς σου ῥύσομαι (lxx) Isa 49:25 Quia hæc dicit Dominus: Equidem, et captivitas a forti tolletur, et quod ablatum fuerit a robusto, salvabitur. Eos vero qui judicaverunt te, ego judicabo, et filios tuos ego salvabo.(vulgate) Isa 49:25 Denn so spricht der HERR: Nun sollen die Gefangenen dem Riesen genommen werden und der Raub des Starken los werden; und ich will mit deinen Haderern hadern und deinen Kindern helfen.(dhs) Isa 49:25 But thus says the Lord: "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 49:26 ============ Isa 49:26 "I will feed your oppressors with their own flesh, And they will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine; And all flesh will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."(nasb) Isa 49:26 καὶ φάγονται οἱ θλίψαντές σε τὰς σάρκας αὐτῶν καὶ πίονται ὡς οἶνον νέον τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν καὶ μεθυσθήσονται καὶ αἰσθανθήσεται πᾶσα σὰρξ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ ῥυσάμενός σε καὶ ἀντιλαμβανόμενος ἰσχύος Ιακωβ (lxx) Isa 49:26 Et cibabo hostes tuos carnibus suis, et quasi musto, sanguine suo inebriabuntur, et sciet omnis caro quia ego Dominus salvans te, et redemptor tuus fortis Jacob.](vulgate) Isa 49:26 Und ich will deine Schinder speisen mit ihrem eigenen Fleisch, und sie sollen von ihrem eigenen Blut wie von süßem Wein trunken werden; und alles Fleisch soll erfahren, daß ich bin der HERR, dein Heiland, und dein Erlöser der Mächtige in Jakob.(dhs) Isa 49:26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, And they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine.
