Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth."(nasb) Jer 1:6 καὶ εἶπα ὦ δέσποτα κύριε ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἐπίσταμαι λαλεῖν ὅτι νεώτερος ἐγώ εἰμι (lxx) Jer 1:6 Et dixi: [A, a, a, Domine Deus, ecce nescio loqui, quia puer ego sum.](vulgate) Jer 1:6 Ich aber sprach: Ach HERR HERR, ich tauge nicht, zu predigen; denn ich bin zu jung.(dhs) Jer 1:6 Then said I: "Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:7 ============ Jer 1:7 But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am a youth, 'Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak.(nasb) Jer 1:7 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με μὴ λέγε ὅτι νεώτερος ἐγώ εἰμι ὅτι πρὸς πάντας οὓς ἐὰν ἐξαποστείλω σε πορεύσῃ καὶ κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν ἐντείλωμαί σοι λαλήσεις (lxx) Jer 1:7 Et dixit Dominus ad me: [Noli dicere: Puer sum: quoniam ad omnia quæ mittam te ibis, et universa quæcumque mandavero tibi loqueris.(vulgate) Jer 1:7 Der HERR sprach aber zu mir: Sage nicht: "Ich bin zu jung"; sondern du sollst gehen, wohin ich dich sende, und predigen, was ich dich heiße.(dhs) Jer 1:7 But the Lord said to me: "Do not say, 'I am a youth,' For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:8 ============ Jer 1:8 "Do not be afraid of them, For I am with you to deliver you," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 1:8 μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν ὅτι μετὰ σοῦ ἐγώ εἰμι τοῦ ἐξαιρεῖσθαί σε λέγει κύριος (lxx) Jer 1:8 Ne timeas a facie eorum, quia tecum ego sum ut eruam te, dicit Dominus.](vulgate) Jer 1:8 Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen; denn ich bin bei dir und will dich erretten, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 1:8 Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:9 ============ Jer 1:9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.(nasb) Jer 1:9 καὶ ἐξέτεινεν κύριος τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ πρός με καὶ ἥψατο τοῦ στόματός μου καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἰδοὺ δέδωκα τοὺς λόγους μου εἰς τὸ στόμα σου (lxx) Jer 1:9 Et misit Dominus manum suam, et tetigit os meum, et dixit Dominus ad me: [Ecce dedi verba mea in ore tuo:(vulgate) Jer 1:9 Und der HERR reckte seine Hand aus und rührte meinen Mund an und sprach zu mir: Siehe, ich lege meine Worte in deinen Mund.(dhs) Jer 1:9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:10 ============ Jer 1:10 "See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant."(nasb) Jer 1:10 ἰδοὺ κατέστακά σε σήμερον ἐπὶ ἔθνη καὶ βασιλείας ἐκριζοῦν καὶ κατασκάπτειν καὶ ἀπολλύειν καὶ ἀνοικοδομεῖν καὶ καταφυτεύειν (lxx) Jer 1:10 ecce constitui te hodie super gentes et super regna, ut evellas, et destruas, et disperdas, et dissipes, et ædifices, et plantes.](vulgate) Jer 1:10 Siehe, ich setze dich heute dieses Tages über Völker und Königreiche, daß du ausreißen, zerbrechen, verstören und verderben sollst und bauen und pflanzen.(dhs) Jer 1:10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:11 ============ Jer 1:11 The word of the Lord came to me saying, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree."(nasb) Jer 1:11 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων τί σὺ ὁρᾷς Ιερεμια καὶ εἶπα βακτηρίαν καρυΐνην (lxx) Jer 1:11 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens: [Quid tu vides, Jeremia?] Et dixi: [Virgam vigilantem ego video.](vulgate) Jer 1:11 Und es geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach: Jeremia, was siehst du? Ich sprach: Ich sehe einen erwachenden Zweig.(dhs) Jer 1:11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:12 ============ Jer 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it."(nasb) Jer 1:12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με καλῶς ἑώρακας διότι ἐγρήγορα ἐγὼ ἐπὶ τοὺς λόγους μου τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτούς (lxx) Jer 1:12 Et dixit Dominus ad me: [Bene vidisti: quia vigilabo ego super verbo meo, ut faciam illud.](vulgate) Jer 1:12 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Du hast recht gesehen; denn ich will wachen über mein Wort, daß ich's tue.(dhs) Jer 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:13 ============ Jer 1:13 The word of the Lord came to me a second time saying, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see a boiling pot, facing away from the north."(nasb) Jer 1:13 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με ἐκ δευτέρου λέγων τί σὺ ὁρᾷς καὶ εἶπα λέβητα ὑποκαιόμενον καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου βορρᾶ (lxx) Jer 1:13 Et factum est verbum Domini secundo ad me, dicens: [Quid tu vides?] Et dixi: [Ollam succensam ego video, et faciem ejus a facie aquilonis.](vulgate) Jer 1:13 Und es geschah des HERRN Wort zum andernmal zu mir und sprach: Was siehst du? Ich sprach: Ich sehe einen heißsiedenden Topf von Mitternacht her.(dhs) Jer 1:13 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:14 ============ Jer 1:14 Then the Lord said to me, "Out of the north the evil will break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.(nasb) Jer 1:14 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἀπὸ προσώπου βορρᾶ ἐκκαυθήσεται τὰ κακὰ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν (lxx) Jer 1:14 Et dixit Dominus ad me: [Ab aquilone pandetur malum super omnes habitatores terræ:(vulgate) Jer 1:14 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Von Mitternacht wird das Unglück ausbrechen über alle, die im Lande wohnen.(dhs) Jer 1:14 Then the Lord said to me: "Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:15 ============ Jer 1:15 For, behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north," declares the Lord."and they will come and they will set each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls round about and against all the cities of Judah.(nasb) Jer 1:15 διότι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ συγκαλῶ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας ἀπὸ βορρᾶ τῆς γῆς λέγει κύριος καὶ ἥξουσιν καὶ θήσουσιν ἕκαστος τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ πρόθυρα τῶν πυλῶν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ τείχη τὰ κύκλῳ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα (lxx) Jer 1:15 quia ecce ego convocabo omnes cognationes regnorum aquilonis, ait Dominus: et venient, et ponent unusquisque solium suum in introitu portarum Jerusalem, et super omnes muros ejus in circuitu, et super universas urbes Juda:(vulgate) Jer 1:15 Denn siehe, ich will rufen alle Fürsten in den Königreichen gegen Mitternacht, spricht der HERR, daß sie kommen sollen und ihre Stühle setzen vor die Tore zu Jerusalem und rings um die Mauern her und vor alle Städte Juda's.(dhs) Jer 1:15 For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north," says the Lord; "They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:16 ============ Jer 1:16 I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.(nasb) Jer 1:16 καὶ λαλήσω πρὸς αὐτοὺς μετὰ κρίσεως περὶ πάσης τῆς κακίας αὐτῶν ὡς ἐγκατέλιπόν με καὶ ἔθυσαν θεοῖς ἀλλοτρίοις καὶ προσεκύνησαν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν (lxx) Jer 1:16 et loquar judicia mea cum eis super omnem malitiam eorum qui dereliquerunt me, et libaverunt diis alienis, et adoraverunt opus manuum suarum.(vulgate) Jer 1:16 Und ich will das Recht lassen über sie gehen um all ihrer Bosheit willen, daß sie mich verlassen und räuchern andern Göttern und beten an ihrer Hände Werk.(dhs) Jer 1:16 I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:17 ============ Jer 1:17 Now, gird up your loins and arise, and speak to them all which I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:18 ============ Jer 1:18 Now behold, I have made you today as a fortified city and as a pillar of iron and as walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its princes, to its priests and to the people of the land.(nasb) Jer 1:18 ἰδοὺ τέθεικά σε ἐν τῇ σήμερον ἡμέρᾳ ὡς πόλιν ὀχυρὰν καὶ ὡς τεῖχος χαλκοῦν ὀχυρὸν ἅπασιν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν Ιουδα καὶ τοῖς ἄρχουσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Jer 1:18 Ego quippe dedi te hodie in civitatem munitam, et in columnam ferream, et in murum æreum, super omnem terram, regibus Juda, principibus ejus, et sacerdotibus, et populo terræ.(vulgate) Jer 1:18 denn ich will dich heute zur festen Stadt, zur eisernen Säule, zur ehernen Mauer machen im ganzen Lande, wider die Könige Juda's, wider ihre Fürsten, wider ihre Priester, wider das Volk im Lande,(dhs) Jer 1:18 For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land-- Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 1:19 ============ Jer 1:19 They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 1:19 καὶ πολεμήσουσίν σε καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνωνται πρὸς σέ διότι μετὰ σοῦ ἐγώ εἰμι τοῦ ἐξαιρεῖσθαί σε εἶπεν κύριος (lxx) Jer 1:19 Et bellabunt adversum te, et non prævalebunt, quia ego tecum sum, ait Dominus, ut liberem te.](vulgate) Jer 1:19 daß, wenn sie gleich wider dich streiten, sie dennoch nicht sollen wider dich siegen; denn ich bin bei dir, spricht der HERR, daß ich dich errette.(dhs) Jer 1:19 They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you.
