Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 2:1 ============ Jer 2:1 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,(nasb) Jer 2:1 -- (lxx) Jer 2:1 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Jer 2:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Jer 2:1 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ======= Jeremiah 2:2 ============ Jer 2:2 "Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the Lord, "I remember concerning you the devotion of your youth, The love of your betrothals, Your following after Me in the wilderness, Through a land not sown.(nasb) Jer 2:2 καὶ εἶπεν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐμνήσθην ἐλέους νεότητός σου καὶ ἀγάπης τελειώσεώς σου τοῦ ἐξακολουθῆσαί σε τῷ ἁγίῳ Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος (lxx) Jer 2:2 [Vade, et clama in auribus Jerusalem, dicens: Hæc dicit Dominus: Recordatus sum tui, miserans adolescentiam tuam, et caritatem desponsationis tuæ, quando secuta es me in deserto, in terra quæ non seminatur.(vulgate) Jer 2:2 Gehe hin und predige öffentlich zu Jerusalem und sprich: So spricht der HERR: Ich gedenke, da du eine freundliche, junge Dirne und eine liebe Braut warst, da du mir folgtest in der Wüste, in dem Lande, da man nichts sät,(dhs) Jer 2:2 "Go and cry in the hearing of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the Lord: "I remember you, The kindness of your youth, The love of your betrothal, When you went after Me in the wilderness, In a land not sown. ======= Jeremiah 2:3 ============ Jer 2:3 "Israel was holy to the Lord, The first of His harvest. All who ate of it became guilty; Evil came upon them," declares the Lord.'"(nasb) Jer 2:3 ἅγιος Ισραηλ τῷ κυρίῳ ἀρχὴ γενημάτων αὐτοῦ πάντες οἱ ἔσθοντες αὐτὸν πλημμελήσουσιν κακὰ ἥξει ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς φησὶν κύριος (lxx) Jer 2:3 Sanctus Israël Domino, primitiæ frugum ejus: omnes qui devorant eum delinquunt: mala venient super eos, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jer 2:3 da Israel des HERRN eigen war und seine erste Frucht. Wer sie fressen wollte, mußte Schuld haben, und Unglück mußte über ihn kommen, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 2:3 Israel was holiness to the Lord, The firstfruits of His increase. All that devour him will offend; Disaster will come upon them," says the Lord.' " ======= Jeremiah 2:4 ============ Jer 2:4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel.(nasb) Jer 2:4 ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου οἶκος Ιακωβ καὶ πᾶσα πατριὰ οἴκου Ισραηλ (lxx) Jer 2:4 Audite verbum Domini, domus Jacob, et omnes cognationes domus Israël.(vulgate) Jer 2:4 Hört des HERRN Wort, ihr vom Hause Jakob und alle Geschlechter vom Hause Israel.(dhs) Jer 2:4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob and all the families of the house of Israel. ======= Jeremiah 2:5 ============ Jer 2:5 Thus says the Lord, "What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me And walked after emptiness and became empty?(nasb) Jer 2:5 τάδε λέγει κύριος τί εὕροσαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ πλημμέλημα ὅτι ἀπέστησαν μακρὰν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω τῶν ματαίων καὶ ἐματαιώθησαν (lxx) Jer 2:5 Hæc dicit Dominus: Quid invenerunt patres vestri in me iniquitatis, quia elongaverunt a me, et ambulaverunt post vanitatem, et vani facti sunt?(vulgate) Jer 2:5 So spricht der HERR: Was haben doch eure Väter Unrechtes an mir gefunden, daß sie von mir wichen und hingen an den unnützen Götzen, da sie doch nichts erlangten?(dhs) Jer 2:5 Thus says the Lord: "What injustice have your fathers found in Me, That they have gone far from Me, Have followed idols, And have become idolaters? ======= Jeremiah 2:6 ============ Jer 2:6 "They did not say, 'Where is the Lord Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, Who led us through the wilderness, Through a land of deserts and of pits, Through a land of drought and of deep darkness, Through a land that no one crossed And where no man dwelt?'(nasb) Jer 2:6 καὶ οὐκ εἶπαν ποῦ ἐστιν κύριος ὁ ἀναγαγὼν ἡμᾶς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ὁ καθοδηγήσας ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν γῇ ἀπείρῳ καὶ ἀβάτῳ ἐν γῇ ἀνύδρῳ καὶ ἀκάρπῳ ἐν γῇ ἐν ᾗ οὐ διώδευσεν ἐν αὐτῇ οὐθὲν καὶ οὐ κατῴκησεν ἐκεῖ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου (lxx) Jer 2:6 Et non dixerunt: Ubi est Dominus qui ascendere nos fecit de terra Ægypti; qui traduxit nos per desertum, per terram inhabitabilem et inviam, per terram sitis, et imaginem mortis, per terram in qua non ambulavit vir, neque habitavit homo?(vulgate) Jer 2:6 und dachten nie einmal: Wo ist der HERR, der uns aus Ägyptenland führte und leitete uns in der Wüste, im wilden, ungebahnten Lande, im dürren und finstern Lande, in dem Lande, da niemand wandelte noch ein Mensch wohnte?(dhs) Jer 2:6 Neither did they say, 'Where is the Lord, Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, Who led us through the wilderness, Through a land of deserts and pits, Through a land of drought and the shadow of death, Through a land that no one crossed And where no one dwelt?' ======= Jeremiah 2:7 ============ Jer 2:7 "I brought you into the fruitful land To eat its fruit and its good things. But you came and defiled My land, And My inheritance you made an abomination.(nasb) Jer 2:7 καὶ εἰσήγαγον ὑμᾶς εἰς τὸν Κάρμηλον τοῦ φαγεῖν ὑμᾶς τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ ἀγαθὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰσήλθατε καὶ ἐμιάνατε τὴν γῆν μου καὶ τὴν κληρονομίαν μου ἔθεσθε εἰς βδέλυγμα (lxx) Jer 2:7 Et induxi vos in terram Carmeli, ut comederetis fructum ejus et optima illius: et ingressi contaminastis terram meam, et hæreditatem meam posuistis in abominationem.(vulgate) Jer 2:7 Und ich brachte euch in ein gutes Land, daß ihr äßet seine Früchte und Güter. Und da ihr hineinkamt, verunreinigtet ihr mein Land und machtet mir mein Erbe zum Greuel.(dhs) Jer 2:7 I brought you into a bountiful country, To eat its fruit and its goodness. But when you entered, you defiled My land And made My heritage an abomination. ======= Jeremiah 2:8 ============ Jer 2:8 "The priests did not say, 'Where is the Lord?'And those who handle the law did not know Me; The rulers also transgressed against Me, And the prophets prophesied by Baal And walked after things that did not profit.(nasb) Jer 2:8 οἱ ἱερεῖς οὐκ εἶπαν ποῦ ἐστιν κύριος καὶ οἱ ἀντεχόμενοι τοῦ νόμου οὐκ ἠπίσταντό με καὶ οἱ ποιμένες ἠσέβουν εἰς ἐμέ καὶ οἱ προφῆται ἐπροφήτευον τῇ Βααλ καὶ ὀπίσω ἀνωφελοῦς ἐπορεύθησαν (lxx) Jer 2:8 Sacerdotes non dixerunt: Ubi est Dominus? et tenentes legem nescierunt me, et pastores prævaricati sunt in me, et prophetæ prophetaverunt in Baal, et idola secuti sunt.(vulgate) Jer 2:8 Die Priester gedachten nicht: Wo ist der HERR? und die das Gesetz treiben, achteten mein nicht, und die Hirten führten die Leute von mir, und die Propheten weissagten durch Baal und hingen an den unnützen Götzen.(dhs) Jer 2:8 The priests did not say, 'Where is the Lord?' And those who handle the law did not know Me; The rulers also transgressed against Me; The prophets prophesied by Baal, And walked after things that do not profit. ======= Jeremiah 2:9 ============ Jer 2:9 "Therefore I will yet contend with you," declares the Lord, "And with your sons' sons I will contend.(nasb) Jer 2:9 διὰ τοῦτο ἔτι κριθήσομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς λέγει κύριος καὶ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν ὑμῶν κριθήσομαι (lxx) Jer 2:9 Propterea adhuc judicio contendam vobiscum, ait Dominus, et cum filiis vestris disceptabo.(vulgate) Jer 2:9 Darum muß ich noch immer mit euch und mit euren Kindeskindern hadern, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 2:9 "Therefore I will yet bring charges against you," says the Lord, "And against your children's children I will bring charges. ======= Jeremiah 2:10 ============ Jer 2:10 "For cross to the coastlands of Kittim and see, And send to Kedar and observe closely And see if there has been such a thing as this!(nasb) Jer 2:10 διότι διέλθετε εἰς νήσους Χεττιιμ καὶ ἴδετε καὶ εἰς Κηδαρ ἀποστείλατε καὶ νοήσατε σφόδρα καὶ ἴδετε εἰ γέγονεν τοιαῦτα (lxx) Jer 2:10 Transite ad insulas Cethim, et videte: et in Cedar mittite, et considerate vehementer: et videte si factum est hujuscemodi:(vulgate) Jer 2:10 Gehet hin in die Inseln Chittim und schauet, und sendet nach Kedar und merket mit Fleiß und schauet, ob's daselbst so zugeht!(dhs) Jer 2:10 For pass beyond the coasts of Cyprus and see, Send to Kedar and consider diligently, And see if there has been such a thing. ======= Jeremiah 2:11 ============ Jer 2:11 "Has a nation changed gods When they were not gods? But My people have changed their glory For that which does not profit.(nasb) Jer 2:11 εἰ ἀλλάξονται ἔθνη θεοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ οὗτοι οὔκ εἰσιν θεοί ὁ δὲ λαός μου ἠλλάξατο τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ ἐξ ἧς οὐκ ὠφεληθήσονται (lxx) Jer 2:11 si mutavit gens deos suos, et certe ipsi non sunt dii: populus vero meus mutavit gloriam suam in idolum.(vulgate) Jer 2:11 Ob die Heiden ihre Götter ändern, wiewohl sie doch nicht Götter sind! Und mein Volk hat doch seine Herrlichkeit verändert um einen unnützen Götzen.(dhs) Jer 2:11 Has a nation changed its gods, Which are not gods? But My people have changed their Glory For what does not profit. ======= Jeremiah 2:12 ============ Jer 2:12 "Be appalled, O heavens, at this, And shudder, be very desolate," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 2:12 ἐξέστη ὁ οὐρανὸς ἐπὶ τούτῳ καὶ ἔφριξεν ἐπὶ πλεῖον σφόδρα λέγει κύριος (lxx) Jer 2:12 Obstupescite, cæli, super hoc, et portæ ejus, desolamini vehementer, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jer 2:12 Sollte sich doch der Himmel davor entsetzen, erschrecken und sehr erbeben, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 2:12 Be astonished, O heavens, at this, And be horribly afraid; Be very desolate," says the Lord. ======= Jeremiah 2:13 ============ Jer 2:13 "For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That can hold no water.(nasb) Jer 2:13 ὅτι δύο πονηρὰ ἐποίησεν ὁ λαός μου ἐμὲ ἐγκατέλιπον πηγὴν ὕδατος ζωῆς καὶ ὤρυξαν ἑαυτοῖς λάκκους συντετριμμένους οἳ οὐ δυνήσονται ὕδωρ συνέχειν (lxx) Jer 2:13 Duo enim mala fecit populus meus: me dereliquerunt fontem aquæ vivæ, et foderunt sibi cisternas, cisternas dissipatas, quia continere non valent aquas.(vulgate) Jer 2:13 Denn mein Volk tut eine zwiefache Sünde: mich, die lebendige Quelle, verlassen sie und machen sich hier und da ausgehauenen Brunnen, die doch löcherig sind und kein Wasser geben.(dhs) Jer 2:13 "For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns--broken cisterns that can hold no water. ======= Jeremiah 2:14 ============ Jer 2:14 "Is Israel a slave? Or is he a homeborn servant? Why has he become a prey?(nasb) Jer 2:14 μὴ δοῦλός ἐστιν Ισραηλ ἢ οἰκογενής ἐστιν διὰ τί εἰς προνομὴν ἐγένετο (lxx) Jer 2:14 Numquid servus est Israël, aut vernaculus? quare ergo factus est in prædam?(vulgate) Jer 2:14 Ist denn Israel ein Knecht oder Leibeigen, daß er jedermanns Raub sein muß?(dhs) Jer 2:14 "Is Israel a servant? Is he a homeborn slave? Why is he plundered? ======= Jeremiah 2:15 ============ Jer 2:15 "The young lions have roared at him, They have roared loudly. And they have made his land a waste; His cities have been destroyed, without inhabitant.(nasb) Jer 2:15 ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ὠρύοντο λέοντες καὶ ἔδωκαν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτῶν οἳ ἔταξαν τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ εἰς ἔρημον καὶ αἱ πόλεις αὐτοῦ κατεσκάφησαν παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι (lxx) Jer 2:15 Super eum rugierunt leones, et dederunt vocem suam: posuerunt terram ejus in solitudinem. Civitates ejus exustæ sunt, et non est qui habitet in eis.(vulgate) Jer 2:15 Denn Löwen brüllen über ihn und schreien und verwüsten sein Land, und seine Städte werden verbrannt, daß niemand darin wohnt.(dhs) Jer 2:15 The young lions roared at him, and growled; They made his land waste; His cities are burned, without inhabitant. ======= Jeremiah 2:16 ============ Jer 2:16 "Also the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes Have shaved the crown of your head.(nasb) Jer 2:16 καὶ υἱοὶ Μέμφεως καὶ Ταφνας ἔγνωσάν σε καὶ κατέπαιζόν σου (lxx) Jer 2:16 Filii quoque Mempheos et Taphnes constupraverunt te usque ad verticem.(vulgate) Jer 2:16 Dazu zerschlagen die von Noph und Thachpanhes dir den Kopf.(dhs) Jer 2:16 Also the people of Noph and Tahpanhes Have broken the crown of your head. ======= Jeremiah 2:17 ============ Jer 2:17 "Have you not done this to yourself By your forsaking the Lord your God When He led you in the way?(nasb) Jer 2:17 οὐχὶ ταῦτα ἐποίησέν σοι τὸ καταλιπεῖν σε ἐμέ λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου (lxx) Jer 2:17 Numquid non istud factum est tibi, quia dereliquisti Dominum Deum tuum eo tempore quo ducebat te per viam?(vulgate) Jer 2:17 Solches machst du dir selbst, weil du den HERRN, deinen Gott, verläßt, so oft er dich den rechten Weg leiten will.(dhs) Jer 2:17 Have you not brought this on yourself, In that you have forsaken the Lord your God When He led you in the way? ======= Jeremiah 2:18 ============ Jer 2:18 "But now what are you doing on the road to Egypt, To drink the waters of the Nile? Or what are you doing on the road to Assyria, To drink the waters of the Euphrates?(nasb) Jer 2:18 καὶ νῦν τί σοι καὶ τῇ ὁδῷ Αἰγύπτου τοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ Γηων καὶ τί σοι καὶ τῇ ὁδῷ Ἀσσυρίων τοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ ποταμῶν (lxx) Jer 2:18 Et nunc quid tibi vis in via Ægypti, ut bibas aquam turbidam? et quid tibi cum via Assyriorum, ut bibas aquam fluminis?(vulgate) Jer 2:18 Was hilft's dir, daß du nach Ägypten ziehst und willst vom Wasser Sihor trinken? Und was hilft's dir, daß du nach Assyrien ziehst und willst vom Wasser des Euphrat trinken?(dhs) Jer 2:18 And now why take the road to Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? Or why take the road to Assyria, To drink the waters of the River? ======= Jeremiah 2:19 ============ Jer 2:19 "Your own wickedness will correct you, And your apostasies will reprove you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to forsake the Lord your God, And the dread of Me is not in you," declares the Lord God of hosts.(nasb) Jer 2:19 παιδεύσει σε ἡ ἀποστασία σου καὶ ἡ κακία σου ἐλέγξει σε καὶ γνῶθι καὶ ἰδὲ ὅτι πικρόν σοι τὸ καταλιπεῖν σε ἐμέ λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου καὶ οὐκ εὐδόκησα ἐπὶ σοί λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου (lxx) Jer 2:19 Arguet te malitia tua, et aversio tua increpabit te. Scito et vide quia malum et amarum est reliquisse te Dominum Deum tuum, et non esse timorem mei apud te, dicit Dominus Deus exercituum.(vulgate) Jer 2:19 Es ist deiner Bosheit Schuld, daß du so gestäupt wirst, und deines Ungehorsams, daß du so gestraft wirst. Also mußt du innewerden und erfahren, was es für Jammer und Herzeleid bringt, den HERRN, deinen Gott, verlassen und ihn nicht fürchten, spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Jer 2:19 Your own wickedness will correct you, And your backslidings will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing That you have forsaken the Lord your God, And the fear of Me is not in you," Says the Lord God of hosts. ======= Jeremiah 2:20 ============ Jer 2:20 "For long ago I broke your yoke And tore off your bonds; But you said, 'I will not serve!'For on every high hill And under every green tree You have lain down as a harlot.(nasb) Jer 2:20 ὅτι ἀπ᾽ αἰῶνος συνέτριψας τὸν ζυγόν σου διέσπασας τοὺς δεσμούς σου καὶ εἶπας οὐ δουλεύσω ἀλλὰ πορεύσομαι ἐπὶ πᾶν βουνὸν ὑψηλὸν καὶ ὑποκάτω παντὸς ξύλου κατασκίου ἐκεῖ διαχυθήσομαι ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ μου (lxx) Jer 2:20 A sæculo confregisti jugum meum: rupisti vincula mea, et dixisti: Non serviam. In omni enim colle sublimi, et sub omni ligno frondoso, tu prosternebaris meretrix.(vulgate) Jer 2:20 Denn du hast immerdar dein Joch zerbrochen und deine Bande zerrissen und gesagt: Ich will nicht unterworfen sein! sondern auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen liefst du den Götzen nach.(dhs) Jer 2:20 "For of old I have broken your yoke and burst your bonds; And you said, 'I will not transgress,' When on every high hill and under every green tree You lay down, playing the harlot. ======= Jeremiah 2:21 ============ Jer 2:21 "Yet I planted you a choice vine, A completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?(nasb) Jer 2:21 ἐγὼ δὲ ἐφύτευσά σε ἄμπελον καρποφόρον πᾶσαν ἀληθινήν πῶς ἐστράφης εἰς πικρίαν ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἀλλοτρία (lxx) Jer 2:21 Ego autem plantavi te vineam electam, omne semen verum: quomodo ergo conversa es mihi in pravum, vinea aliena?(vulgate) Jer 2:21 Ich aber hatte dich gepflanzt zu einem süßen Weinstock, einen ganz rechtschaffenen Samen. Wie bist du mir denn geraten zu einem bitteren, wilden Weinstock?(dhs) Jer 2:21 Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me Into the degenerate plant of an alien vine? ======= Jeremiah 2:22 ============ Jer 2:22 "Although you wash yourself with lye And use much soap, The stain of your iniquity is before Me," declares the Lord God.(nasb) Jer 2:22 ἐὰν ἀποπλύνῃ ἐν νίτρῳ καὶ πληθύνῃς σεαυτῇ πόαν κεκηλίδωσαι ἐν ταῖς ἀδικίαις σου ἐναντίον ἐμοῦ λέγει κύριος (lxx) Jer 2:22 Si laveris te nitro, et multiplicaveris tibi herbam borith, maculata es in iniquitate tua coram me, dicit Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Jer 2:22 Und wenn du dich gleich mit Lauge wüschest und nähmest viel Seife dazu, so gleißt doch deine Untugend desto mehr vor mir, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Jer 2:22 For though you wash yourself with lye, and use much soap, Yet your iniquity is marked before Me," says the Lord God. ======= Jeremiah 2:23 ============ Jer 2:23 "How can you say, 'I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Baals'? Look at your way in the valley! Know what you have done! You are a swift young camel entangling her ways,(nasb) Jer 2:23 πῶς ἐρεῖς οὐκ ἐμιάνθην καὶ ὀπίσω τῆς Βααλ οὐκ ἐπορεύθην ἰδὲ τὰς ὁδούς σου ἐν τῷ πολυανδρίῳ καὶ γνῶθι τί ἐποίησας ὀψὲ φωνὴ αὐτῆς ὠλόλυξεν τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς (lxx) Jer 2:23 Quomodo dicis: Non sum polluta; post Baalim non ambulavi? Vide vias tuas in convalle; scito quid feceris: cursor levis explicans vias suas.(vulgate) Jer 2:23 Wie darfst du denn sagen: Ich bin nicht unrein, ich hänge nicht an den Baalim? Siehe an, wie du es treibst im Tal, und bedenke, wie du es ausgerichtet hast.(dhs) Jer 2:23 "How can you say, 'I am not polluted, I have not gone after the Baals'? See your way in the valley; Know what you have done: You are a swift dromedary breaking loose in her ways, ======= Jeremiah 2:24 ============ Jer 2:24 A wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness, That sniffs the wind in her passion. In the time of her heat who can turn her away? All who seek her will not become weary; In her month they will find her.(nasb) Jer 2:24 ἐπλάτυνεν ἐφ᾽ ὕδατα ἐρήμου ἐν ἐπιθυμίαις ψυχῆς αὐτῆς ἐπνευματοφορεῖτο παρεδόθη τίς ἐπιστρέψει αὐτήν πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντες αὐτὴν οὐ κοπιάσουσιν ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει αὐτῆς εὑρήσουσιν αὐτήν (lxx) Jer 2:24 Onager assuetus in solitudine, in desiderio animæ suæ attraxit ventum amoris sui: nullus avertet eam: omnes qui quærunt eam non deficient: in menstruis ejus invenient eam.(vulgate) Jer 2:24 Du läufst umher wie eine Kamelstute in der Brunst, und wie ein Wild in der Wüste pflegt, wenn es vor großer Brunst lechzt und läuft, daß es niemand aufhalten kann. Wer's wissen will, darf nicht weit laufen; am Feiertage sieht man es wohl.(dhs) Jer 2:24 A wild donkey used to the wilderness, That sniffs at the wind in her desire; In her time of mating, who can turn her away? Devoravit gladius vester prophetas vestros: quasi leo vastator(vulgate) Jer 2:30 Alle Schläge sind verloren an euren Kindern; sie lassen sich doch nicht ziehen. Ecce ego judicio contendam tecum, eo quod dixeris: Non peccavi.(vulgate) Jer 2:35 Doch sprichst du: Ich bin unschuldig; er wende seinen Zorn von mir. Also, you will be put to shame by Egypt As you were put to shame by Assyria.(nasb) Jer 2:36 τί κατεφρόνησας σφόδρα τοῦ δευτερῶσαι τὰς ὁδούς σου καὶ ἀπὸ Αἰγύπτου καταισχυνθήσῃ καθὼς κατῃσχύνθης ἀπὸ Ασσουρ (lxx) Jer 2:36 Quam vilis facta es nimis, iterans vias tuas! et ab Ægypto confunderis, sicut confusa es ab Assur.(vulgate) Jer 2:36 Wie weichst du doch so gern und läufst jetzt dahin, jetzt hierher! Aber du wirst an Ägypten zu Schanden werden, wie du an Assyrien zu Schanden geworden bist.(dhs) Jer 2:36 Why do you gad about so much to change your way?
