Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 9:1 ============ Jer 9:1 Oh that my head were waters And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night For the slain of the daughter of my people!(nasb) Jer 9:1 τίς δῴη μοι ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ σταθμὸν ἔσχατον καὶ καταλείψω τὸν λαόν μου καὶ ἀπελεύσομαι ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν ὅτι πάντες μοιχῶνται σύνοδος ἀθετούντων (lxx) Jer 9:1 [Quis dabit capiti meo aquam, et oculis meis fontem lacrimarum, et plorabo die ac nocte interfectos filiæ populi mei?(vulgate) Jer 9:1 Ach, daß ich Wasser genug hätte in meinem Haupte und meine Augen Tränenquellen wären, daß ich Tag und Nacht beweinen möchte die Erschlagenen in meinem Volk!(dhs) Jer 9:1 Oh, that my head were waters, And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night For the slain of the daughter of my people!(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:2 ============ Jer 9:2 Oh that I had in the desert A wayfarers' lodging place; That I might leave my people And go from them! For all of them are adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men.(nasb) Jer 9:2 καὶ ἐνέτειναν τὴν γλῶσσαν αὐτῶν ὡς τόξον ψεῦδος καὶ οὐ πίστις ἐνίσχυσεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὅτι ἐκ κακῶν εἰς κακὰ ἐξήλθοσαν καὶ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν (lxx) Jer 9:2 Quis dabit me in solitudine diversorium viatorum, et derelinquam populum meum, et recedam ab eis? quia omnes adulteri sunt, cœtus prævaricatorum.(vulgate) Jer 9:2 Ach, daß ich eine Herberge hätte in der Wüste, so wollte ich mein Volk verlassen und von ihnen ziehen! Denn es sind eitel Ehebrecher und ein frecher Haufe.(dhs) Jer 9:2 Oh, that I had in the wilderness A lodging place for travelers; That I might leave my people, And go from them! For they are all adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:3 ============ Jer 9:3 "They bend their tongue like their bow; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 9:3 ἕκαστος ἀπὸ τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ φυλάξασθε καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν μὴ πεποίθατε ὅτι πᾶς ἀδελφὸς πτέρνῃ πτερνιεῖ καὶ πᾶς φίλος δολίως πορεύσεται (lxx) Jer 9:3 Et extenderunt linguam suam quasi arcum mendacii et non veritatis: confortati sunt in terra, quia de malo ad malum egressi sunt, et me non cognoverunt, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jer 9:3 Sie schießen mit ihren Zungen eitel Lüge und keine Wahrheit und treiben's mit Gewalt im Lande und gehen von einer Bosheit zur andern und achten mich nicht, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 9:3 "And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:4 ============ Jer 9:4 "Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother deals craftily, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.(nasb) Jer 9:4 ἕκαστος κατὰ τοῦ φίλου αὐτοῦ καταπαίξεται ἀλήθειαν οὐ μὴ λαλήσωσιν μεμάθηκεν ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν λαλεῖν ψευδῆ ἠδίκησαν καὶ οὐ διέλιπον τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι (lxx) Jer 9:4 Unusquisque se a proximo suo custodiat, et in omni fratre suo non habeat fiduciam: quia omnis frater supplantans supplantabit, et omnis amicus fraudulenter incedet.(vulgate) Jer 9:4 Ein jeglicher hüte sich vor seinem Freunde und traue auch seinem Bruder nicht; denn ein Bruder unterdrückt den andern, und ein Freund verrät den andern.(dhs) Jer 9:4 "Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:5 ============ Jer 9:5 "Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth, They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity.(nasb) Jer 9:5 τόκος ἐπὶ τόκῳ δόλος ἐπὶ δόλῳ οὐκ ἤθελον εἰδέναι με (lxx) Jer 9:5 Et vir fratrem suum deridebit, et veritatem non loquentur: docuerunt enim linguam suam loqui mendacium; ut inique agerent laboraverunt.(vulgate) Jer 9:5 Ein Freund täuscht den andern und reden kein wahres Wort; sie fleißigen sich darauf, wie einer den andern betrüge, und ist ihnen nicht leid, daß sie es ärger machen können.(dhs) Jer 9:5 Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves to commit iniquity.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:6 ============ Jer 9:6 "Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Jer 9:6 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πυρώσω αὐτοὺς καὶ δοκιμῶ αὐτούς ὅτι ποιήσω ἀπὸ προσώπου πονηρίας θυγατρὸς λαοῦ μου (lxx) Jer 9:6 Habitatio tua in medio doli: in dolo renuerunt scire me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jer 9:6 Es ist allenthalben eitel Trügerei unter ihnen, und vor Trügerei wollen sie mich nicht kennen, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Jer 9:6 Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:7 ============ Jer 9:7 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts," Behold, I will refine them and assay them; For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people?(nasb) Jer 9:7 βολὶς τιτρώσκουσα ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν δόλια τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ στόματος αὐτῶν τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ λαλεῖ εἰρηνικὰ καὶ ἐν ἑαυτῷ ἔχει τὴν ἔχθραν (lxx) Jer 9:7 Propterea hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Ecce ego conflabo, et probabo eos: quid enim aliud faciam a facie filiæ populi mei?(vulgate) Jer 9:7 Darum spricht der HERR Zebaoth also: Siehe, ich will sie schmelzen und prüfen. Denn was soll ich sonst tun, wenn ich ansehe die Tochter meines Volks?(dhs) Jer 9:7 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: "Behold, I will refine them and try them; For how shall I deal with the daughter of My people?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:8 ============ Jer 9:8 "Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit; With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, But inwardly he sets an ambush for him.(nasb) Jer 9:8 μὴ ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐκ ἐπισκέψομαι λέγει κύριος ἢ ἐν λαῷ τῷ τοιούτῳ οὐκ ἐκδικήσει ἡ ψυχή μου (lxx) Jer 9:8 Sagitta vulnerans lingua eorum, dolum locuta est. In ore suo pacem cum amico suo loquitur, et occulte ponit ei insidias.(vulgate) Jer 9:8 Ihre falschen Zungen sind mörderische Pfeile; mit ihrem Munde reden sie freundlich gegen den Nächsten, aber im Herzen lauern sie auf ihn.(dhs) Jer 9:8 Their tongue is an arrow shot out; It speaks deceit; One speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, But in his heart he lies in wait.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:9 ============ Jer 9:9 "Shall I not punish them for these things?" declares the Lord. "On a nation such as this Shall I not avenge Myself?(nasb) Jer 9:9 ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη λάβετε κοπετὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς τρίβους τῆς ἐρήμου θρῆνον ὅτι ἐξέλιπον παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἀνθρώπους οὐκ ἤκουσαν φωνὴν ὑπάρξεως ἀπὸ πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἕως κτηνῶν ἐξέστησαν ᾤχοντο (lxx) Jer 9:9 Numquid super his non visitabo, dicit Dominus, aut in gente hujusmodi non ulciscetur anima mea?(vulgate) Jer 9:9 Sollte ich nun solches nicht heimsuchen an ihnen, spricht der HERR, und meine Seele sollte sich nicht rächen an solchem Volk, wie dies ist?(dhs) Jer 9:9 Shall I not punish them for these things?" says the Lord. "Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?"(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:10 ============ Jer 9:10 "For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, And for the pastures of the wilderness a dirge, Because they are laid waste so that no one passes through, And the lowing of the cattle is not heard; Both the birds of the sky and the beasts have fled; they are gone.(nasb) Jer 9:10 καὶ δώσω τὴν Ιερουσαλημ εἰς μετοικίαν καὶ εἰς κατοικητήριον δρακόντων καὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα εἰς ἀφανισμὸν θήσομαι παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι (lxx) Jer 9:10 Super montes assumam fletum ac lamentum, et super speciosa deserti planctum, quoniam incensa sunt, eo quod non sit vir pertransiens, et non audierunt vocem possidentis: a volucre cæli usque ad pecora transmigraverunt et recesserunt.(vulgate) Jer 9:10 Ich muß auf den Bergen weinen und heulen und bei den Hürden in der Wüste klagen; denn sie sind so gar verheert, daß niemand da wandelt und man auch nicht ein Vieh schreien hört. Es ist beides, Vögel des Himmels und das Vieh, alles weg.(dhs) Jer 9:10 I will take up a weeping and wailing for the mountains, And for the dwelling places of the wilderness a lamentation, Because they are burned up, So that no one can pass through; Nor can men hear the voice of the cattle. Both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled; They are gone.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:11 ============ Jer 9:11 "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, A haunt of jackals; And I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant."(nasb) Jer 9:11 τίς ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ συνετός καὶ συνέτω τοῦτο καὶ ᾧ λόγος στόματος κυρίου πρὸς αὐτόν ἀναγγειλάτω ὑμῖν ἕνεκεν τίνος ἀπώλετο ἡ γῆ ἀνήφθη ὡς ἔρημος παρὰ τὸ μὴ διοδεύεσθαι αὐτήν (lxx) Jer 9:11 Et dabo Jerusalem in acervos arenæ, et cubilia draconum: et civitates Juda dabo in desolationem, eo quod non sit habitator.(vulgate) Jer 9:11 Und ich will Jerusalem zum Steinhaufen und zur Wohnung der Schakale machen und will die Städte Juda's wüst machen, daß niemand darin wohnen soll.(dhs) Jer 9:11 "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a den of jackals. I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:12 ============ Jer 9:12 Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined, laid waste like a desert, so that no one passes through?(nasb) Jer 9:12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με διὰ τὸ ἐγκαταλιπεῖν αὐτοὺς τὸν νόμον μου ὃν ἔδωκα πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσαν τῆς φωνῆς μου (lxx) Jer 9:12 Quis est vir sapiens qui intelligat hoc, et ad quem verbum oris Domini fiat, ut annuntiet istud, quare perierit terra, et exusta sit quasi desertum, eo quod non sit qui pertranseat?(vulgate) Jer 9:12 Wer nun weise wäre und ließe es sich zu Herzen gehen und verkündigte, was des HERRN Mund zu ihm sagt, warum das Land verderbt und verheert wird wie eine Wüste, da niemand wandelt!(dhs) Jer 9:12 Who is the wise man who may understand this? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one can pass through?(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:13 ============ Jer 9:13 The Lord said, "Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it,(nasb) Jer 9:13 ἀλλ᾽ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω τῶν ἀρεστῶν τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν τῆς κακῆς καὶ ὀπίσω τῶν εἰδώλων ἃ ἐδίδαξαν αὐτοὺς οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν (lxx) Jer 9:13 Et dixit Dominus: Quia dereliquerunt legem meam quam dedi eis, et non audierunt vocem meam, et non ambulaverunt in ea,(vulgate) Jer 9:13 Und der HERR sprach: Darum daß sie mein Gesetz verlassen, daß ich ihnen vorgelegt habe, und gehorchen meiner Rede nicht, leben auch nicht darnach,(dhs) Jer 9:13 And the Lord said, "Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:14 ============ Jer 9:14 but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them,"(nasb) Jer 9:14 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ψωμιῶ αὐτοὺς ἀνάγκας καὶ ποτιῶ αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ χολῆς (lxx) Jer 9:14 et abierunt post pravitatem cordis sui, et post Baalim, quod didicerunt a patribus suis:(vulgate) Jer 9:14 sondern folgen ihres Herzens Gedünken und den Baalim, wie sie ihre Väter gelehrt haben:(dhs) Jer 9:14 but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them,"(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:15 ============ Jer 9:15 therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,"behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.(nasb) Jer 9:15 καὶ διασκορπιῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εἰς οὓς οὐκ ἐγίνωσκον αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπαποστελῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τὴν μάχαιραν ἕως τοῦ ἐξαναλῶσαι αὐτοὺς ἐν αὐτῇ (lxx) Jer 9:15 idcirco hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Ecce ego cibabo populum istum absinthio, et potum dabo eis aquam fellis.(vulgate) Jer 9:15 darum spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, also: Siehe ich will dies Volk mit Wermut speisen und mit Galle tränken;(dhs) Jer 9:15 therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: "Behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:16 ============ Jer 9:16 I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them."(nasb) Jer 9:16 τάδε λέγει κύριος καλέσατε τὰς θρηνούσας καὶ ἐλθέτωσαν καὶ πρὸς τὰς σοφὰς ἀποστείλατε καὶ φθεγξάσθωσαν (lxx) Jer 9:16 Et dispergam eos in gentibus quas non noverunt ipsi et patres eorum, et mittam post eos gladium, donec consumantur.(vulgate) Jer 9:16 ich will sie unter die Heiden zerstreuen, welche weder sie noch ihre Väter gekannt haben, und will das Schwert hinter sie schicken, bis daß es aus mit ihnen sei.(dhs) Jer 9:16 I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:17 ============ Jer 9:17 Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come; And send for the wailing women, that they may come!(nasb) Jer 9:17 καὶ λαβέτωσαν ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς θρῆνον καὶ καταγαγέτωσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν δάκρυα καὶ τὰ βλέφαρα ὑμῶν ῥείτω ὕδωρ (lxx) Jer 9:17 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Contemplamini, et vocate lamentatrices, et veniant: et ad eas quæ sapientes sunt mittite, et properent:(vulgate) Jer 9:17 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Schaffet und bestellt Klageweiber, daß sie kommen, und schickt nach denen, die es wohl können,(dhs) Jer 9:17 Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Consider and call for the mourning women, That they may come; And send for skillful wailing women, That they may come.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:18 ============ Jer 9:18 "Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may shed tears And our eyelids flow with water.(nasb) Jer 9:18 ὅτι φωνὴ οἴκτου ἠκούσθη ἐν Σιων πῶς ἐταλαιπωρήσαμεν κατῃσχύνθημεν σφόδρα ὅτι ἐγκατελίπομεν τὴν γῆν καὶ ἀπερρίψαμεν τὰ σκηνώματα ἡμῶν (lxx) Jer 9:18 festinent, et assumant super nos lamentum: deducant oculi nostri lacrimas, et palpebræ nostræ defluant aquis.(vulgate) Jer 9:18 daß sie eilend um uns klagen, daß unsre Augen von Tränen rinnen und unsre Augenlider von Wasser fließen,(dhs) Jer 9:18 Let them make haste And take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may run with tears, And our eyelids gush with water.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:19 ============ Jer 9:19 "For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion, 'How are we ruined! We are put to great shame, For we have left the land, Because they have cast down our dwellings.'"(nasb) Jer 9:19 ἀκούσατε δή γυναῖκες λόγον θεοῦ καὶ δεξάσθω τὰ ὦτα ὑμῶν λόγους στόματος αὐτοῦ καὶ διδάξατε τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν οἶκτον καὶ γυνὴ τὴν πλησίον αὐτῆς θρῆνον (lxx) Jer 9:19 Quia vox lamentationis audita est de Sion: Quomodo vastati sumus, et confusi vehementer? quia dereliquimus terram; quoniam dejecta sunt tabernacula nostra.(vulgate) Jer 9:19 daß man ein klägliches Geschrei höre zu Zion: Ach, wie sind wir so gar verstört und zu Schanden geworden! Wir müssen das Land räumen; denn sie haben unsere Wohnungen geschleift.(dhs) Jer 9:19 For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How we are plundered! We are greatly ashamed, Because we have forsaken the land, Because we have been cast out of our dwellings.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:20 ============ Jer 9:20 Now hear the word of the Lord, O you women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a dirge.(nasb) Jer 9:20 ὅτι ἀνέβη θάνατος διὰ τῶν θυρίδων ὑμῶν εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν γῆν ὑμῶν τοῦ ἐκτρῖψαι νήπια ἔξωθεν καὶ νεανίσκους ἀπὸ τῶν πλατειῶν (lxx) Jer 9:20 Audite ergo, mulieres, verbum Domini, et assumant aures vestræ sermonem oris ejus, et docete filias vestras lamentum, et unaquæque proximam suam planctum:(vulgate) Jer 9:20 So höret nun, ihr Weiber, des HERRN Wort und nehmet zu Ohren seines Mundes Rede; lehret eure Töchter weinen, und eine lehre die andere klagen:(dhs) Jer 9:20 Yet hear the word of the Lord, O women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a lamentation.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:21 ============ Jer 9:21 For death has come up through our windows; It has entered our palaces To cut off the children from the streets, The young men from the town squares.(nasb) Jer 9:21 καὶ ἔσονται οἱ νεκροὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων εἰς παράδειγμα ἐπὶ προσώπου τοῦ πεδίου τῆς γῆς ὑμῶν καὶ ὡς χόρτος ὀπίσω θερίζοντος καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ συνάγων (lxx) Jer 9:21 quia ascendit mors per fenestras nostras; ingressa est domos nostras, disperdere parvulos deforis, juvenes de plateis.](vulgate) Jer 9:21 Der Tod ist zu unseren Fenstern eingefallen und in unsere Paläste gekommen, die Kinder zu würgen auf der Gasse und die Jünglinge auf der Straße.(dhs) Jer 9:21 For death has come through our windows, Has entered our palaces, To kill off the children--no longer to be outside! And the young men--no longer on the streets!(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:22 ============ Jer 9:22 Speak," Thus says the Lord, 'The corpses of men will fall like dung on the open field, And like the sheaf after the reaper, But no one will gather them.'"(nasb) Jer 9:22 τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ σοφὸς ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ ἰσχυρὸς ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ πλούσιος ἐν τῷ πλούτῳ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jer 9:22 Loquere: [Hæc dicit Dominus: Et cadet morticinum hominis quasi stercus super faciem regionis, et quasi fœnum post tergum metentis, et non est qui colligat.(vulgate) Jer 9:22 So spricht der HERR: Sage: Der Menschen Leichname sollen liegen wie der Mist auf dem Felde und wie Garben hinter dem Schnitter, die niemand sammelt.(dhs) Jer 9:22 Speak, "Thus says the Lord: 'Even the carcasses of men shall fall as refuse on the open field, Like cuttings after the harvester, And no one shall gather them.' For in these I delight," says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:25 ============ Jer 9:25 "Behold, the days are coming," declares the Lord, "that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised -(nasb) Jer 9:25 ἐπ᾽ Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν Ιουδαίαν καὶ ἐπὶ Εδωμ καὶ ἐπὶ υἱοὺς Αμμων καὶ ἐπὶ υἱοὺς Μωαβ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα περικειρόμενον τὰ κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅτι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀπερίτμητα σαρκί καὶ πᾶς οἶκος Ισραηλ ἀπερίτμητοι καρδίας αὐτῶν (lxx) Jer 9:25 Ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et visitabo super omnem qui circumcisum habet præputium,(vulgate) Jer 9:25 Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, daß ich heimsuchen werde alle, die Beschnittenen mit den Unbeschnittenen:(dhs) Jer 9:25 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "that I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised--(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 9:26 ============ Jer 9:26 Egypt and Judah, and Edom and the sons of Ammon, and Moab and all those inhabiting the desert who clip the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised of heart."(nasb) Jer 9:26 -- (lxx) Jer 9:26 super Ægyptum, et super Juda, et super Edom, et super filios Ammon, et super Moab; et super omnes qui attonsi sunt in comam, habitantes in deserto: quia omnes gentes habent præputium, omnis autem domus Israël incircumcisi sunt corde.](vulgate) Jer 9:26 Ägypten, Juda, Edom, die Kinder Ammon, Moab und alle, die das Haar rundumher abschneiden, die in der Wüste wohnen.
