Today's Date: ======= Malachi 3:1 ============ Mal 3:1 "Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 3:1 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου καὶ ἐπιβλέψεται ὁδὸν πρὸ προσώπου μου καὶ ἐξαίφνης ἥξει εἰς τὸν ναὸν ἑαυτοῦ κύριος ὃν ὑμεῖς ζητεῖτε καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος τῆς διαθήκης ὃν ὑμεῖς θέλετε ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Mal 3:1 Ecce ego mitto angelum meum, et præparabit viam ante faciem meam: et statim veniet ad templum suum Dominator quem vos quæritis, et angelus testamenti quem vos vultis. Ecce venit, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Mal 3:1 Siehe, ich will meinen Engel senden, der vor mir her den Weg bereiten soll. For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap.(nasb) Mal 3:2 καὶ τίς ὑπομενεῖ ἡμέραν εἰσόδου αὐτοῦ ἢ τίς ὑποστήσεται ἐν τῇ ὀπτασίᾳ αὐτοῦ διότι αὐτὸς εἰσπορεύεται ὡς πῦρ χωνευτηρίου καὶ ὡς πόα πλυνόντων (lxx) Mal 3:2 Et quis poterit cogitare diem adventus ejus, et quis stabit ad videndum eum? ipse enim quasi ignis conflans, et quasi herba fullonum:(vulgate) Mal 3:2 Wer wird aber den Tag seiner Zukunft erleiden können, und wer wird bestehen, wenn er wird erscheinen? Denn er ist wie das Feuer eines Goldschmieds und wie die Seifen der Wäscher.(dhs) Mal 3:2 "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderer's soap.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:3 ============ Mal 3:3 He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness.(nasb) Mal 3:3 καὶ καθιεῖται χωνεύων καὶ καθαρίζων ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ καθαρίσει τοὺς υἱοὺς Λευι καὶ χεεῖ αὐτοὺς ὡς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ ὡς τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἔσονται τῷ κυρίῳ προσάγοντες θυσίαν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ (lxx) Mal 3:3 et sedebit conflans, et emundans argentum: et purgabit filios Levi, et colabit eos quasi aurum et quasi argentum, et erunt Domino offerentes sacrificia in justitia.(vulgate) Mal 3:3 Er wird sitzen und schmelzen und das Silber reinigen; er wird die Kinder Levi reinigen und läutern wie Gold und Silber. Dann werden sie dem HERRN Speisopfer bringen in Gerechtigkeit,(dhs) Mal 3:3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:4 ============ Mal 3:4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years.(nasb) Mal 3:4 καὶ ἀρέσει τῷ κυρίῳ θυσία Ιουδα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ καθὼς αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ καθὼς τὰ ἔτη τὰ ἔμπροσθεν (lxx) Mal 3:4 Et placebit Domino sacrificium Juda et Jerusalem, sicut dies sæculi, et sicut anni antiqui.(vulgate) Mal 3:4 und wird dem HERRN wohl gefallen das Speisopfer Juda's und Jerusalems wie vormals und vor langen Jahren.(dhs) Mal 3:4 "Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem Will be pleasant to the Lord, As in the days of old, As in former years.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:5 ============ Mal 3:5 "Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 3:5 καὶ προσάξω πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν κρίσει καὶ ἔσομαι μάρτυς ταχὺς ἐπὶ τὰς φαρμακοὺς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς μοιχαλίδας καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀμνύοντας τῷ ὀνόματί μου ἐπὶ ψεύδει καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀποστεροῦντας μισθὸν μισθωτοῦ καὶ τοὺς καταδυναστεύοντας χήραν καὶ τοὺς κονδυλίζοντας ὀρφανοὺς καὶ τοὺς ἐκκλίνοντας κρίσιν προσηλύτου καὶ τοὺς μὴ φοβουμένους με λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Mal 3:5 Et accedam ad vos in judicio, et ero testis velox maleficis, et adulteris, et perjuris, et qui calumniantur mercedem mercenarii, viduas et pupillos, et opprimunt peregrinum, nec timuerunt me, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Mal 3:5 Und ich will zu euch kommen und euch strafen und will ein schneller Zeuge sein wider die Zauberer, Ehebrecher und Meineidigen und wider die, so Gewalt und Unrecht tun den Tagelöhnern, Witwen und Waisen und den Fremdling drücken und mich nicht fürchten, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Mal 3:5 And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien-- Because they do not fear Me," Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:6 ============ Mal 3:6 "For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.(nasb) Mal 3:6 διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἠλλοίωμαι καὶ ὑμεῖς υἱοὶ Ιακωβ οὐκ ἀπέχεσθε (lxx) Mal 3:6 Ego enim Dominus, et non mutor: et vos filii Jacob, non estis consumpti.(vulgate) Mal 3:6 Denn ich bin der HERR und wandle mich nicht; und es soll mit euch Kindern Jakobs nicht gar aus sein.(dhs) Mal 3:6 "For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:7 ============ Mal 3:7 "From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the Lord of hosts." But you say, 'How shall we return?'(nasb) Mal 3:7 ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδικιῶν τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ἐξεκλίνατε νόμιμά μου καὶ οὐκ ἐφυλάξασθε ἐπιστρέψατε πρός με καὶ ἐπιστραφήσομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἴπατε ἐν τίνι ἐπιστρέψωμεν (lxx) Mal 3:7 A diebus enim patrum vestrorum recessistis a legitimis meis, et non custodistis: revertimini ad me, et revertar ad vos, dicit Dominus exercituum. Et dixistis: In quo revertemur?(vulgate) Mal 3:7 Ihr seid von eurer Väter Zeit immerdar abgewichen von meinen Geboten und habt sie nicht gehalten. So bekehrt euch nun zu mir, so will ich mich zu euch auch kehren, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. So sprecht ihr: "Worin sollen wir uns bekehren?"(dhs) Mal 3:7 Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," Says the Lord of hosts. "But you said, 'In what way shall we return?'(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:8 ============ Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.(nasb) Mal 3:8 εἰ πτερνιεῖ ἄνθρωπος θεόν διότι ὑμεῖς πτερνίζετέ με καὶ ἐρεῖτε ἐν τίνι ἐπτερνίκαμέν σε ὅτι τὰ ἐπιδέκατα καὶ αἱ ἀπαρχαὶ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰσιν (lxx) Mal 3:8 Si affliget homo Deum, quia vos configitis me? Et dixistis: In quo configimus te? In decimis et in primitiis.(vulgate) Mal 3:8 Ist's recht, daß ein Mensch Gott täuscht, wie ihr mich den täuschet? So sprecht ihr: "Womit täuschen wir dich?" In tithes and offerings.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:9 ============ Mal 3:9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!(nasb) Mal 3:9 καὶ ἀποβλέποντες ὑμεῖς ἀποβλέπετε καὶ ἐμὲ ὑμεῖς πτερνίζετε τὸ ἔθνος συνετελέσθη (lxx) Mal 3:9 Et in penuria vos maledicti estis, et me vos configitis gens tota.(vulgate) Mal 3:9 Darum seid ihr auch verflucht, daß euch alles unter den Händen zerrinnt; denn ihr täuscht mich allesamt.(dhs) Mal 3:9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:10 ============ Mal 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.(nasb) Mal 3:10 καὶ εἰσηνέγκατε πάντα τὰ ἐκφόρια εἰς τοὺς θησαυρούς καὶ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἡ διαρπαγὴ αὐτοῦ ἐπισκέψασθε δὴ ἐν τούτῳ λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐὰν μὴ ἀνοίξω ὑμῖν τοὺς καταρράκτας τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐκχεῶ ὑμῖν τὴν εὐλογίαν μου ἕως τοῦ ἱκανωθῆναι (lxx) Mal 3:10 Inferte omnem decimam in horreum, et sit cibus in domo mea: et probate me super hoc, dicit Dominus: si non aperuero vobis cataractas cæli, et effudero vobis benedictionem usque ad abundantiam:(vulgate) Mal 3:10 Bringt mir den Zehnten ganz in mein Kornhaus, auf daß in meinem Hause Speise sei, und prüft mich hierin, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, ob ich euch nicht des Himmels Fenster auftun werde und Segen herabschütten die Fülle.(dhs) Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:11 ============ Mal 3:11 Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 3:11 καὶ διαστελῶ ὑμῖν εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ οὐ μὴ διαφθείρω ὑμῶν τὸν καρπὸν τῆς γῆς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀσθενήσῃ ὑμῶν ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Mal 3:11 et increpabo pro vobis devorantem, et non corrumpet fructum terræ vestræ, nec erit sterilis vinea in agro, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Mal 3:11 Und ich will für euch den Fresser schelten, daß er euch die Frucht auf dem Felde nicht verderben soll und der Weinstock im Acker euch nicht unfruchtbar sei, spricht der HERR Zebaoth;(dhs) Mal 3:11 "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," Says the Lord of hosts;(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:12 ============ Mal 3:12 "All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land," says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Mal 3:12 καὶ μακαριοῦσιν ὑμᾶς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη διότι ἔσεσθε ὑμεῖς γῆ θελητή λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Mal 3:12 Et beatos vos dicent omnes gentes: eritis enim vos terra desiderabilis, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Mal 3:12 daß euch alle Heiden sollen selig preisen, denn ihr sollt ein wertes Land sein, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Mal 3:12 "And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land," Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:13 ============ Mal 3:13 "Your words have been arrogant against Me," says the Lord. "Yet you say, 'What have we spoken against You?'(nasb) Mal 3:13 ἐβαρύνατε ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τοὺς λόγους ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος καὶ εἴπατε ἐν τίνι κατελαλήσαμεν κατὰ σοῦ (lxx) Mal 3:13 Invaluerunt super me verba vestra, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Mal 3:13 Ihr redet hart wider mich, spricht der HERR. So sprecht ihr: "Was reden wir wider dich?"(dhs) Mal 3:13 "Your words have been harsh against Me," Says the Lord, "Yet you say, 'What have we spoken against You?'(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:14 ============ Mal 3:14 You have said, 'It is vain to serve God; and what profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of hosts?(nasb) Mal 3:14 εἴπατε μάταιος ὁ δουλεύων θεῷ καὶ τί πλέον ὅτι ἐφυλάξαμεν τὰ φυλάγματα αὐτοῦ καὶ διότι ἐπορεύθημεν ἱκέται πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου παντοκράτορος (lxx) Mal 3:14 Et dixistis: Quid locuti sumus contra te? Dixistis: Vanus est qui servit Deo: et quod emolumentum quia custodivimus præcepta ejus, et quia ambulavimus tristes coram Domino exercituum?(vulgate) Mal 3:14 Damit daß ihr sagt: Es ist umsonst, daß man Gott dient; und was nützt es, daß wir sein Gebot halten und ein hartes Leben vor dem HERR Zebaoth führen?(dhs) Mal 3:14 You have said, 'It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts?(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:15 ============ Mal 3:15 So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up but they also test God and escape.'"(nasb) Mal 3:15 καὶ νῦν ἡμεῖς μακαρίζομεν ἀλλοτρίους καὶ ἀνοικοδομοῦνται πάντες ποιοῦντες ἄνομα καὶ ἀντέστησαν θεῷ καὶ ἐσώθησαν (lxx) Mal 3:15 Ergo nunc beatos dicimus arrogantes: siquidem ædificati sunt facientes impietatem, et tentaverunt Deum, et salvi facti sunt.(vulgate) Mal 3:15 Darum preisen wir die Verächter; denn die Gottlosen nehmen zu; sie versuchen Gott, und alles geht ihnen wohl aus.(dhs) Mal 3:15 So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.' "(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:16 ============ Mal 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name.(nasb) Mal 3:16 ταῦτα κατελάλησαν οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ καὶ προσέσχεν κύριος καὶ εἰσήκουσεν καὶ ἔγραψεν βιβλίον μνημοσύνου ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τοῖς φοβουμένοις τὸν κύριον καὶ εὐλαβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ (lxx) Mal 3:16 Tunc locuti sunt timentes Dominum, unusquisque cum proximo suo: et attendit Dominus, et audivit, et scriptus est liber monumenti coram eo timentibus Dominum, et cogitantibus nomen ejus.(vulgate) Mal 3:16 Aber die Gottesfürchtigen trösten sich untereinander also: Der HERR merkt und hört es, und vor ihm ist ein Denkzettel geschrieben für die, so den HERRN fürchten und an seinen Namen gedenken.(dhs) Mal 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:17 ============ Mal 3:17 "They will be Mine," says the Lord of hosts, "on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."(nasb) Mal 3:17 καὶ ἔσονταί μοι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ εἰς ἡμέραν ἣν ἐγὼ ποιῶ εἰς περιποίησιν καὶ αἱρετιῶ αὐτοὺς ὃν τρόπον αἱρετίζει ἄνθρωπος τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ τὸν δουλεύοντα αὐτῷ (lxx) Mal 3:17 Et erunt mihi, ait Dominus exercituum, in die qua ego facio, in peculium: et parcam eis, sicut parcit vir filio suo servienti sibi.(vulgate) Mal 3:17 Sie sollen spricht der HERR Zebaoth, des Tages, den ich machen will, mein Eigentum sein; und ich will ihrer schonen, wie ein Mann seines Sohnes schont, der ihm dient.(dhs) Mal 3:17 "They shall be Mine," says the Lord of hosts, "On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him."(nkjv) ======= Malachi 3:18 ============ Mal 3:18 So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.(nasb) Mal 3:18 καὶ ἐπιστραφήσεσθε καὶ ὄψεσθε ἀνὰ μέσον δικαίου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνόμου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ δουλεύοντος θεῷ καὶ τοῦ μὴ δουλεύοντος (lxx) Mal 3:18 Et convertemini, et videbitis quid sit inter justum et impium, et inter servientem Deo et non servientem ei.(vulgate) Mal 3:18 Und ihr sollt dagegen wiederum den Unterschied sehen, was für ein Unterschied sei zwischen dem Gerechten und dem Gottlosen, und zwischen dem, der Gott dient, und dem, der ihm nicht dient.(dhs) Mal 3:18 Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.(nkjv) ======= Malachi 4:1 ============ top of the page
