Today's Date: ======= Exodus 34:1 ============ Exo 34:1 Now the Lord said to Moses, "Cut out for yourself two stone tablets like the former ones, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered.(nasb) Exo 34:1 Ac deinceps: Præcide, ait, tibi duas tabulas lapideas instar priorum, et scribam super eas verba, quæ habuerunt tabulæ quas fregisti.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:1 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Alísate dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, y escribiré sobre esas tablas las palabras que estaban en las tablas primeras que quebraste.(E) Exode 34:1 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Taille deux tables de pierre comme les premières, et j'y écrirai les paroles qui étaient sur les premières tables que tu as brisées.(F) Exo 34:1 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, daß ich die Worte darauf schreibe, die auf den ersten Tafeln waren, welche du zerbrochen hast.(D) Exo 34:1 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθὼς καὶ αἱ πρῶται καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ γράψω ἐπὶ τῶν πλακῶν τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἦν ἐν ταῖς πλαξὶν ταῖς πρώταις αἷς συνέτριψας(lxx) Exo 34:1 And the Lord said to Moses, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:2 ============ Exo 34:2 So be ready by morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me on the top of the mountain.(nasb) Exo 34:2 Esto paratus mane, ut ascendas statim in montem Sinai, stabisque mecum super verticem montis.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:2 Apercíbete, pues, para mañana, y sube por la mañana al monte de Sinaí, y preséntate allí ante mí, sobre la cumbre del monte.(E) Exode 34:2 Sois prêt de bonne heure, et tu monteras dès le matin sur la montagne de Sinaï; tu te tiendras là devant moi, sur le sommet de la montagne.(F) Exo 34:2 Und sei morgen bereit, daß du früh auf den Berg Sinai steigest und daselbst zu mir tretest auf des Berges Spitze.(D) Exo 34:2 καὶ γίνου ἕτοιμος εἰς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ἀναβήσῃ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καὶ στήσῃ μοι ἐκεῖ ἐπ᾽ ἄκρου τοῦ ὄρους(lxx) Exo 34:2 So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:3 ============ Exo 34:3 No man is to come up with you, nor let any man be seen anywhere on the mountain; even the flocks and the herds may not graze in front of that mountain."(nasb) Exo 34:3 Nullus ascendat tecum, nec videatur quispiam per totum montem: boves quoque et oves non pascantur e contra.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:3 Y no suba hombre contigo, ni parezca alguno en todo el monte; ni ovejas ni bueyes pazcan delante del monte.(E) Exode 34:3 Que personne ne monte avec toi, et que personne ne paraisse sur toute la montagne; et même que ni brebis ni boeufs ne paissent près de cette montagne.(F) Exo 34:3 Und laß niemand mit dir hinaufsteigen, daß niemand gesehen werde um den ganzen Berg her; auch kein Schaf noch Rind laß weiden gegen diesen Berg hin.(D) Exo 34:3 καὶ μηδεὶς ἀναβήτω μετὰ σοῦ μηδὲ ὀφθήτω ἐν παντὶ τῷ ὄρει καὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ αἱ βόες μὴ νεμέσθωσαν πλησίον τοῦ ὄρους ἐκείνου(lxx) Exo 34:3 And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:4 ============ Exo 34:4 So he cut out two stone tablets like the former ones, and Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and he took two stone tablets in his hand.(nasb) Exo 34:4 Excidit ergo duas tabulas lapideas, quales antea fuerant: et de nocte consurgens ascendit in montem Sinai, sicut præceperat ei Dominus, portans secum tabulas.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:4 Y Moisés alisó dos tablas de piedra como las primeras; y se levantó por la mañana, y subió al monte de Sinaí, como le mandó Jehová, y llevó en su mano las dos tablas de piedra.(E) Exode 34:4 Moïse tailla deux tables de pierre comme les premières; il se leva de bon matin, et monta sur la montagne de Sinaï, selon l'ordre que l'Eternel lui avait donné, et il prit dans sa main les deux tables de pierre.(F) Exo 34:4 Und Mose hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, und stand des Morgens früh auf und stieg auf den Berg Sinai, wie ihm der HERR geboten hatte, und nahm die zwei steinernen Tafeln in seine Hand.(D) Exo 34:4 καὶ ἐλάξευσεν δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθάπερ καὶ αἱ πρῶται καὶ ὀρθρίσας Μωυσῆς ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καθότι συνέταξεν αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυσῆς τὰς δύο πλάκας τὰς λιθίνας(lxx) Exo 34:4 So he cut two tablets of stone like the first ones. Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:5 ============ Exo 34:5 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord.(nasb) Exo 34:5 Cumque descendisset Dominus per nubem, stetit Moyses cum eo, invocans nomen Domini.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:5 Y Jehová descendió en la nube, y estuvo allí con él, proclamando el nombre de Jehová.(E) Exode 34:5 L'Eternel descendit dans une nuée, se tint là auprès de lui, et proclama le nom de l'Eternel.(F) Exo 34:5 Da kam der HERR hernieder in einer Wolke und trat daselbst zu ihm und rief aus des HERRN Namen.(D) Exo 34:5 καὶ κατέβη κύριος ἐν νεφέλῃ καὶ παρέστη αὐτῷ ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου(lxx) Exo 34:5 Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:6 ============ Exo 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;(nasb) Exo 34:6 Quo transeunte coram eo, ait: Dominator Domine Deus, misericors et clemens, patiens et multæ miserationis, ac verax,(vulgate) Éxodo 34:6 Y pasando Jehová por delante de él, proclamó: Jehová, Jehová, Dios misericordioso y piadoso; lento para la ira y grande en benignidad y verdad;(E) Exode 34:6 Et l'Eternel passa devant lui, et s'écria: L'Eternel, l'Eternel, Dieu miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère, riche en bonté et en fidélité,(F) Exo 34:6 Und der HERR ging vor seinem Angesicht vorüber und rief: HERR, HERR, GOTT, barmherzig und gnädig und geduldig und von großer Gnade und Treue!(D) Exo 34:6 καὶ παρῆλθεν κύριος πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς οἰκτίρμων καὶ ἐλεήμων μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ ἀληθινὸς(lxx) Exo 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:7 ============ Exo 34:7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."(nasb) Exo 34:7 qui custodis misericordiam in millia; qui aufers iniquitatem, et scelera, atque peccata, nullusque apud te per se innocens est; qui reddis iniquitatem patrum filiis, ac nepotibus in tertiam et quartam progeniem.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:7 Que guarda la misericordia en millares, que perdona la iniquidad, la rebelión, y el pecado, y que de ningún modo dará por inocente al culpable; que visita la iniquidad de los padres sobre los hijos y sobre los hijos de los hijos, hasta la tercera, y cuarta generación.(E) Exode 34:7 qui conserve son amour jusqu'à mille générations, qui pardonne l'iniquité, la rébellion et le péché, mais qui ne tient point le coupable pour innocent, et qui punit l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants et sur les enfants des enfants jusqu'à la troisième et à la quatrième génération!(F) Exo 34:7 der da bewahrt Gnade in tausend Glieder und vergibt Missetat, Übertretung und Sünde, und vor welchem niemand unschuldig ist; der die Missetat der Väter heimsucht auf Kinder und Kindeskinder bis ins dritte und vierte Glied.(D) Exo 34:7 καὶ δικαιοσύνην διατηρῶν καὶ ποιῶν ἔλεος εἰς χιλιάδας ἀφαιρῶν ἀνομίας καὶ ἀδικίας καὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ οὐ καθαριεῖ τὸν ἔνοχον ἐπάγων ἀνομίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἐπὶ τέκνα τέκνων ἐπὶ τρίτην καὶ τετάρτην γενεάν(lxx) Exo 34:7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:8 ============ Exo 34:8 Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.(nasb) Exo 34:8 Festinusque Moyses, curvatus est pronus in terram, et adorans(vulgate) Éxodo 34:8 Entonces Moisés, apresurándose, bajó la cabeza hacia el suelo y adoró;(E) Exode 34:8 Aussitôt Moïse s'inclina à terre et se prosterna.(F) Exo 34:8 Und Mose neigte sich eilend zu der Erde und betete an(D) Exo 34:8 καὶ σπεύσας Μωυσῆς κύψας ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν προσεκύνησεν(lxx) Exo 34:8 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:9 ============ Exo 34:9 He said, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession."(nasb) Exo 34:9 ait: Si inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, Domine, obsecro ut gradiaris nobiscum (populus enim duræ cervicis est) et auferas iniquitates nostras atque peccata, nosque possideas.~(vulgate) Éxodo 34:9 Y dijo: Si ahora, Señor, he hallado gracia en tus ojos, vaya ahora el Señor en medio de nosotros; porque éste es pueblo de dura cerviz; y perdona nuestra iniquidad y nuestro pecado, y tómanos por tu heredad.(E) Exode 34:9 Il dit: Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que le Seigneur marche au milieu de nous, car c'est un peuple au cou roide; pardonne nos iniquités et nos péchés, et prends-nous pour ta possession.(F) Exo 34:9 und sprach: Habe ich, HERR, Gnade vor deinen Augen gefunden, so gehe der HERR mit uns; denn es ist ein halstarriges Volk, daß du unsrer Missetat und Sünde gnädig seist und lassest uns dein Erbe sein.(D) Exo 34:9 καὶ εἶπεν εἰ εὕρηκα χάριν ἐνώπιόν σου συμπορευθήτω ὁ κύριός μου μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν ὁ λαὸς γὰρ σκληροτράχηλός ἐστιν καὶ ἀφελεῖς σὺ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν καὶ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν καὶ ἐσόμεθα σοί(lxx) Exo 34:9 Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:10 ============ Exo 34:10 Then God said, "Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.(nasb) Exo 34:10 Respondit Dominus: Ego inibo pactum videntibus cunctis: signa faciam quæ numquam visa sunt super terram, nec in ullis gentibus, ut cernat populus iste, in cujus es medio, opus Domini terribile quod facturus sum.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:10 Y Él dijo: He aquí, yo hago pacto delante de todo tu pueblo: haré maravillas que no han sido hechas en toda la tierra, ni en nación alguna; y verá todo el pueblo en medio del cual estás tú, la obra de Jehová; porque [será] cosa terrible la que yo haré contigo.(E) Exode 34:10 L'Eternel répondit: Voici, je traite une alliance. Je ferai, en présence de tout ton peuple, des prodiges qui n'ont eu lieu dans aucun pays et chez aucune nation; tout le peuple qui t'environne verra l'oeuvre de l'Eternel, et c'est par toi que j'accomplirai des choses terribles.(F) Exo 34:10 Und er sprach: Siehe, ich will einen Bund machen vor allem deinem Volk und will Wunder tun, dergleichen nicht geschaffen sind in allen Landen und unter allen Völkern, und alles Volk, darunter du bist, soll sehen des HERRN Werk; denn wunderbar soll sein, was ich bei dir tun werde.(D) Exo 34:10 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ τίθημί σοι διαθήκην ἐνώπιον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ σου ποιήσω ἔνδοξα ἃ οὐ γέγονεν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ καὶ ἐν παντὶ ἔθνει καὶ ὄψεται πᾶς ὁ λαός ἐν οἷς εἶ σύ τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ὅτι θαυμαστά ἐστιν ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω σοι(lxx) Exo 34:10 And He said: "Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:11 ============ Exo 34:11 "Be sure to observe what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite before you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite.(nasb) Exo 34:11 Observa cuncta quæ hodie mando tibi: ego ipse ejiciam ante faciem tuam Amorrhæum, et Chananæum, et Hethæum, Pherezæum quoque, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:11 Guarda lo que yo te mando hoy; he aquí que yo echo de delante de tu presencia al amorreo, y al cananeo, y al heteo, y al ferezeo, y al heveo, y al jebuseo.(E) Exode 34:11 Prends garde à ce que je t'ordonne aujourd'hui. Voici, je chasserai devant toi les Amoréens, les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens.(F) Exo 34:11 Halte, was ich dir heute gebiete. Siehe, ich will vor dir her ausstoßen die Amoriter, Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Pheresiter, Heviter und Jebusiter.(D) Exo 34:11 πρόσεχε σὺ πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκβάλλω πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ Χαναναῖον καὶ Χετταῖον καὶ Φερεζαῖον καὶ Ευαῖον καὶ Γεργεσαῖον καὶ Ιεβουσαῖον(lxx) Exo 34:11 Observe what I command you this day. Behold, I am driving out from before you the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:12 ============ Exo 34:12 Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going, or it will become a snare in your midst.(nasb) Exo 34:12 Cave ne umquam cum habitatoribus terræ illius jungas amicitias, quæ sint tibi in ruinam:(vulgate) Éxodo 34:12 Guárdate que no hagas alianza con los moradores de la tierra donde has de entrar, para que no sean tropezadero en medio de ti:(E) Exode 34:12 Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays où tu dois entrer, de peur qu'ils ne soient un piège pour toi.(F) Exo 34:12 Hüte dich, daß du nicht einen Bund machest mit den Einwohnern des Landes, da du hineinkommst, daß sie dir nicht ein Fallstrick unter dir werden;(D) Exo 34:12 πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μήποτε θῇς διαθήκην τοῖς ἐγκαθημένοις ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύῃ εἰς αὐτήν μή σοι γένηται πρόσκομμα ἐν ὑμῖν(lxx) Exo 34:12 Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:13 ============ Exo 34:13 But rather, you are to tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and cut down their Asherim(nasb) Exo 34:13 sed aras eorum destrue, confringe statuas, lucosque succide:(vulgate) Éxodo 34:13 Mas derribaréis sus altares, y quebraréis sus estatuas, y talaréis sus imágenes de Asera.(E) Exode 34:13 Au contraire, vous renverserez leurs autels, vous briserez leurs statues, et vous abattrez leurs idoles.(F) Exo 34:13 sondern ihre Altäre sollst du umstürzen und ihre Götzen zerbrechen und ihre Haine ausrotten;(D) Exo 34:13 τοὺς βωμοὺς αὐτῶν καθελεῖτε καὶ τὰς στήλας αὐτῶν συντρίψετε καὶ τὰ ἄλση αὐτῶν ἐκκόψετε καὶ τὰ γλυπτὰ τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν κατακαύσετε ἐν πυρί(lxx) Exo 34:13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:14 ============ Exo 34:14 "for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God"(nasb) Exo 34:14 noli adorare deum alienum. Dominus zelotes nomen ejus; Deus est æmulator.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:14 Porque no adorarás a dios ajeno; pues Jehová, cuyo nombre es Celoso, Dios celoso es.(E) Exode 34:14 Tu ne te prosterneras point devant un autre dieu; car l'Eternel porte le nom de jaloux, il est un Dieu jaloux.(F) Exo 34:14 denn du sollst keinen andern Gott anbeten. Denn der HERR heißt ein Eiferer; ein eifriger Gott ist er.(D) Exo 34:14 οὐ γὰρ μὴ προσκυνήσητε θεῷ ἑτέρῳ ὁ γὰρ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ζηλωτὸν ὄνομα θεὸς ζηλωτής ἐστιν(lxx) Exo 34:14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:15 ============ Exo 34:15 otherwise you might make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land and they would play the harlot with their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone might invite you to eat of his sacrifice,(nasb) Exo 34:15 Ne ineas pactum cum hominibus illarum regionum: ne, cum fornicati fuerint cum diis suis, et adoraverint simulacra eorum, vocet te quispiam ut comedas de immolatis.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:15 Por tanto no harás alianza con los moradores de aquella tierra; porque fornicarán en pos de sus dioses, y sacrificarán a sus dioses, y te llamarán, y comerás de sus sacrificios;(E) Exode 34:15 Garde-toi de faire alliance avec les habitants du pays, de peur que, se prostituant à leurs dieux et leur offrant des sacrifices, ils ne t'invitent, et que tu ne manges de leurs victimes;(F) Exo 34:15 Daß du nicht einen Bund mit des Landes Einwohnern machest, und wenn sie ihren Göttern nachlaufen und opfern ihren Göttern, sie dich nicht laden und du von ihrem Opfer essest,(D) Exo 34:15 μήποτε θῇς διαθήκην τοῖς ἐγκαθημένοις πρὸς ἀλλοφύλους ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν ὀπίσω τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν καὶ θύσωσι τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν καὶ καλέσωσίν σε καὶ φάγῃς τῶν θυμάτων αὐτῶν(lxx) Exo 34:15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice,(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:16 ============ Exo 34:16 and you might take some of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters might play the harlot with their gods and cause your sons also to play the harlot with their gods.(nasb) Exo 34:16 Nec uxorem de filiabus eorum accipies filiis tuis: ne, postquam ipsæ fuerint fornicatæ, fornicari faciant et filios tuos in deos suos.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:16 o tomando de sus hijas para tus hijos, y fornicando sus hijas en pos de sus dioses, harán también fornicar a tus hijos en pos de los dioses de ellas.(E) Exode 34:16 de peur que tu ne prennes de leurs filles pour tes fils, et que leurs filles, se prostituant à leurs dieux, n'entraînent tes fils à se prostituer à leurs dieux.(F) Exo 34:16 und daß du nehmest deinen Söhnen ihre Töchter zu Weibern und dieselben dann ihren Göttern nachlaufen und machen deine Söhne auch ihren Göttern nachlaufen.(D) Exo 34:16 καὶ λάβῃς τῶν θυγατέρων αὐτῶν τοῖς υἱοῖς σου καὶ τῶν θυγατέρων σου δῷς τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν αἱ θυγατέρες σου ὀπίσω τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκπορνεύσωσιν τοὺς υἱούς σου ὀπίσω τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν(lxx) Exo 34:16 and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:17 ============ Exo 34:17 You shall make for yourself no molten gods.(nasb) Exo 34:17 Deos conflatiles non facies tibi.(vulgate) Éxodo 34:17 No te harás dioses de fundición.(E) Exode 34:17 Tu ne te feras point de dieu en fonte.(F) Exo 34:17 Du sollst dir keine gegossenen Götter machen.(D) Exo 34:17 καὶ θεοὺς χωνευτοὺς οὐ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ(lxx) Exo 34:17 You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:18 ============ Exo 34:18 "You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
