Ils arrivèrent au Jourdain; et là, ils passèrent la nuit, avant de le traverser.(F) Jos 3:1 Und Josua machte sich früh auf, und sie zogen aus Sittim und kamen an den Jordan, er und alle Kinder Israel, und blieben daselbst über Nacht, ehe sie hinüberzogen.(D) Jos 3:1 καὶ ὤρθρισεν Ἰησοῦς τὸ πρωί καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκ Σαττιν καὶ ἤλθοσαν ἕως τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ κατέλυσαν ἐκεῖ πρὸ τοῦ διαβῆναι(lxx) Jos 3:1 Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:2 ============ Jos 3:2 At the end of three days the officers went through the midst of the camp;(nasb) Jos 3:2 Quibus evolutis transierunt præcones per castrorum medium,(vulgate) Josué 3:2 Y pasados tres días, los oficiales atravesaron por medio del campamento,(E) Josué 3:2 Au bout de trois jours, les officiers parcoururent le camp,(F) Jos 3:2 Nach drei Tagen aber gingen die Hauptleute durchs Lager(D) Jos 3:2 καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας διῆλθον οἱ γραμματεῖς διὰ τῆς παρεμβολῆς(lxx) Jos 3:2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp;(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:3 ============ Jos 3:3 and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.(nasb) Jos 3:3 et clamare cœperunt: Quando videritis arcam fœderis Domini Dei vestri, et sacerdotes stirpis Leviticæ portantes eam, vos quoque consurgite, et sequimini præcedentes:(vulgate) Josué 3:3 y mandaron al pueblo, diciendo: Cuando viereis el arca del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, y los sacerdotes y levitas que la llevan, vosotros partiréis de vuestro lugar, y marcharéis en pos de ella,(E) Josué 3:3 et donnèrent cet ordre au peuple: Lorsque vous verrez l'arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, portée par les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, vous partirez du lieu où vous êtes, et vous vous mettrez en marche après elle.(F) Jos 3:3 und geboten dem Volk und sprachen: Wenn ihr sehen werdet die Lade des Bundes des HERRN, eures Gottes, und die Priester aus den Leviten sie tragen, so ziehet aus von eurem Ort und folgt ihr nach.(D) Jos 3:3 καὶ ἐνετείλαντο τῷ λαῷ λέγοντες ὅταν ἴδητε τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἡμῶν καὶ τοὺς Λευίτας αἴροντας αὐτήν ἀπαρεῖτε ἀπὸ τῶν τόπων ὑμῶν καὶ πορεύεσθε ὀπίσω αὐτῆς(lxx) Jos 3:3 and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:4 ============ Jos 3:4 However, there shall be between you and it a distance of about 2,000 cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you shall go, for you have not passed this way before."(nasb) Jos 3:4 sitque inter vos et arcam spatium cubitorum duum millium: ut procul videre possitis, et nosse per quam viam ingrediamini: quia prius non ambulastis per eam: et cavete ne appropinquetis ad arcam.(vulgate) Josué 3:4 pero entre vosotros y ella habrá una distancia como de la medida de dos mil codos, no os acercaréis a ella; para que sepáis el camino por el cuál debéis ir, por cuanto vosotros no habéis pasado antes por este camino.(E) Josué 3:4 Mais il y aura entre vous et elle une distance d'environ deux mille coudées: n'en approchez pas. Elle vous montrera le chemin que vous devez suivre, car vous n'avez point encore passé par ce chemin.(F) Jos 3:4 Doch daß zwischen euch und ihr Raum sei bei zweitausend Ellen. Ihr sollt nicht zu ihr nahen, auf daß ihr wisset, auf welchem Weg ihr gehen sollt; denn ihr seid den Weg bisher nicht gegangen.(D) Jos 3:4 ἀλλὰ μακρὰν ἔστω ἀνὰ μέσον ὑμῶν καὶ ἐκείνης ὅσον δισχιλίους πήχεις στήσεσθε μὴ προσεγγίσητε αὐτῇ ἵν᾽ ἐπίστησθε τὴν ὁδόν ἣν πορεύεσθε αὐτήν οὐ γὰρ πεπόρευσθε τὴν ὁδὸν ἀπ᾽ ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτης ἡμέρας(lxx) Jos 3:4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:5 ============ Jos 3:5 Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."(nasb) Jos 3:5 Dixitque Josue ad populum: Sanctificamini: cras enim faciet Dominus inter vos mirabilia.(vulgate) Josué 3:5 Y Josué dijo al pueblo: Santificaos, porque mañana Jehová hará maravillas entre vosotros.(E) Josué 3:5 Josué dit au peuple: Sanctifiez-vous, car demain l'Eternel fera des prodiges au milieu de vous.(F) Jos 3:5 Und Josua sprach zu dem Volk: Heiligt euch; denn morgen wir der HERR ein Wunder unter euch tun.(D) Jos 3:5 καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τῷ λαῷ ἁγνίσασθε εἰς αὔριον ὅτι αὔριον ποιήσει ἐν ὑμῖν κύριος θαυμαστά(lxx) Jos 3:5 And Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:6 ============ Jos 3:6 And Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, "Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over ahead of the people." So they took up the ark of the covenant and went ahead of the people.(nasb) Jos 3:6 Et ait ad sacerdotes: Tollite arcam fœderis, et præcedite populum. Qui jussa complentes, tulerunt, et ambulaverunt ante eos.(vulgate) Josué 3:6 Y habló Josué a los sacerdotes, diciendo: Tomad el arca del pacto, y pasad delante del pueblo. Y ellos tomaron el arca del pacto, y fueron delante del pueblo.(E) Josué 3:6 Et Josué dit aux sacrificateurs: Portez l'arche de l'alliance, et passez devant le peuple. Da trugen sie die Lade des Bundes und gingen vor dem Volk her.(D) Jos 3:6 καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν ἄρατε τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ προπορεύεσθε τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ ἦραν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ ἐπορεύοντο ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ λαοῦ(lxx) Jos 3:6 Then Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, "Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over before the people." So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:7 ============ Jos 3:7 Now the Lord said to Joshua, "This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you.(nasb) Jos 3:7 Dixitque Dominus ad Josue: Hodie incipiam exaltare te coram omni Israël: ut sciant quod sicut cum Moyse fui, ita et tecum sim.(vulgate) Josué 3:7 Entonces Jehová dijo a Josué: Desde este día comenzaré a engrandecerte delante de los ojos de todo Israel, para que entiendan que como estuve con Moisés, así estaré contigo.(E) Josué 3:7 L'Eternel dit à Josué: Aujourd'hui, je commencerai à t'élever aux yeux de tout Israël, afin qu'ils sachent que je serai avec toi comme j'ai été avec Moïse.(F) Jos 3:7 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Heute will ich anfangen, dich groß zu machen vor dem ganzen Israel, daß sie wissen, wie ich mit Mose gewesen bin, also sei ich auch mit dir.(D) Jos 3:7 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ἰησοῦν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ ἄρχομαι ὑψῶσαί σε κατενώπιον πάντων υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἵνα γνῶσιν καθότι ἤμην μετὰ Μωυσῆ οὕτως ἔσομαι καὶ μετὰ σοῦ(lxx) Jos 3:7 And the Lord said to Joshua, "This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:8 ============ Jos 3:8 You shall, moreover, command the priests who are carrying the ark of the covenant, saying, 'When you come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.'"(nasb) Jos 3:8 Tu autem præcipe sacerdotibus, qui portant arcam fœderis, et dic eis: Cum ingressi fueritis partem aquæ Jordanis, state in ea.(vulgate) Josué 3:8 Tú, pues, mandarás a los sacerdotes que llevan el arca del pacto, diciendo: Cuando hubiereis entrado hasta el borde del agua del Jordán, pararéis en el Jordán.(E) Josué 3:8 Tu donneras cet ordre aux sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'alliance: Lorsque vous arriverez au bord des eaux du Jourdain, vous vous arrêterez dans le Jourdain.(F) Jos 3:8 Und du gebiete den Priestern, die die Lade des Bunde tragen, und sprich: Wenn ihr kommt vorn ins Wasser des Jordans, so steht still.(D) Jos 3:8 καὶ νῦν ἔντειλαι τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν τοῖς αἴρουσιν τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης λέγων ὡς ἂν εἰσέλθητε ἐπὶ μέρους τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἐν τῷ Ιορδάνῃ στήσεσθε(lxx) Jos 3:8 You shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, 'When you have come to the edge of the water of the Jordan, you shall stand in the Jordan.' "(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:9 ============ Jos 3:9 Then Joshua said to the sons of Israel, "Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God."(nasb) Jos 3:9 Dixitque Josue ad filios Israël: Accedite huc, et audite verbum Domini Dei vestri.(vulgate) Josué 3:9 Y Josué dijo a los hijos de Israel: Llegaos acá, y escuchad las palabras de Jehová vuestro Dios.(E) Josué 3:9 Josué dit aux enfants d'Israël: Approchez, et écoutez les paroles de l'Eternel, votre Dieu.(F) Jos 3:9 Und Josua sprach zu den Kindern Israel: Herzu! und Hört die Worte des HERRN, eures Gottes!(D) Jos 3:9 καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ προσαγάγετε ὧδε καὶ ἀκούσατε τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν(lxx) Jos 3:9 So Joshua said to the children of Israel, "Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:10 ============ Jos 3:10 Joshua said, "By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly dispossess from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.(nasb) Jos 3:10 Et rursum: In hoc, inquit, scietis quod Dominus Deus vivens in medio vestri est, et disperdet in conspectu vestro Chananæum et Hethæum, Hevæum et Pherezæum, Gergesæum quoque et Jebusæum, et Amorrhæum.(vulgate) Josué 3:10 Y añadió Josué: En esto conoceréis que el Dios viviente está en medio de vosotros, y que Él echará de delante de vosotros al cananeo, y al heteo, y al heveo, y al ferezeo, y al gergeseo, y al amorreo, y al jebuseo.(E) Josué 3:10 Josué dit: A ceci vous reconnaîtrez que le Dieu vivant est au milieu de vous, et qu'il chassera devant vous les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Héviens, les Phéréziens, les Guirgasiens, les Amoréens et les Jébusiens:(F) Jos 3:10 Und sprach: Dabei sollt ihr merken, daß ein lebendiger Gott unter euch ist, und daß er vor euch austreiben wird die Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Heviter, Pheresiter, Girgasiter, Amoriter und Jebusiter.(D) Jos 3:10 ἐν τούτῳ γνώσεσθε ὅτι θεὸς ζῶν ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ὀλεθρεύων ὀλεθρεύσει ἀπὸ προσώπου ἡμῶν τὸν Χαναναῖον καὶ τὸν Χετταῖον καὶ τὸν Φερεζαῖον καὶ τὸν Ευαῖον καὶ τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ τὸν Γεργεσαῖον καὶ τὸν Ιεβουσαῖον(lxx) Jos 3:10 And Joshua said, "By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:11 ============ Jos 3:11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you into the Jordan.(nasb) Jos 3:11 Ecce arca fœderis Domini omnis terræ antecedet vos per Jordanem.(vulgate) Josué 3:11 He aquí, el arca del pacto del Señor de toda la tierra pasa el Jordán delante de vosotros.(E) Josué 3:11 voici, l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur de toute la terre va passer devant vous dans le Jourdain.(F) Jos 3:11 Siehe, die Lade des Bundes des Herrschers über alle Welt wird vor euch her gehen in den Jordan.(D) Jos 3:11 ἰδοὺ ἡ κιβωτὸς διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τῆς γῆς διαβαίνει τὸν Ιορδάνην(lxx) Jos 3:11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over before you into the Jordan.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:12 ============ Jos 3:12 Now then, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man for each tribe.(nasb) Jos 3:12 Parate duodecim viros de tribubus Israël, singulos per singulas tribus.(vulgate) Josué 3:12 Tomad, pues, ahora doce hombres de las tribus de Israel, de cada tribu uno.(E) Josué 3:12 Maintenant, prenez douze hommes parmi les tribus d'Israël, un homme de chaque tribu.(F) Jos 3:12 So nehmt nun zwölf aus den Stämmen Israels, aus jeglichem Stamm einen.(D) Jos 3:12 προχειρίσασθε ὑμῖν δώδεκα ἄνδρας ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἕνα ἀφ᾽ ἑκάστης φυλῆς(lxx) Jos 3:12 Now therefore, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from every tribe.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:13 ============ Jos 3:13 It shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan will be cut off, and the waters which are flowing down from above will stand in one heap."(nasb) Jos 3:13 Et cum posuerint vestigia pedum suorum sacerdotes qui portant arcam Domini Dei universæ terræ in aquis Jordanis, aquæ quæ inferiores sunt, decurrent atque deficient: quæ autem desuper veniunt, in una mole consistent.~(vulgate) Josué 3:13 Y cuando las plantas de los pies de los sacerdotes que llevan el arca de Jehová Señor de toda la tierra, fueren asentadas sobre las aguas del Jordán, las aguas del Jordán se partirán; porque las aguas que vienen de arriba se detendrán en un montón.(E) Josué 3:13 Et dès que les sacrificateurs qui portent l'arche de l'Eternel, le Seigneur de toute la terre, poseront la plante des pieds dans les eaux du Jourdain, les eaux du Jourdain seront coupées, les eaux qui descendent d'en haut, et elles s'arrêteront en un monceau.(F) Jos 3:13 Wenn dann die Fußsohlen der Priester, die des HERRN Lade, des Herrschers über alle Welt, tragen, in des Jordans Wasser sich lassen, so wird das Wasser, das von oben herabfließt im Jordan, abreißen, daß es auf einem Haufen stehen bleibe.(D) Jos 3:13 καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν καταπαύσωσιν οἱ πόδες τῶν ἱερέων τῶν αἰρόντων τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τῆς γῆς ἐν τῷ ὕδατι τοῦ Ιορδάνου τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἐκλείψει τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ τὸ καταβαῖνον στήσεται(lxx) Jos 3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:14 ============ Jos 3:14 So when the people set out from their tents to cross the Jordan with the priests carrying the ark of the covenant before the people,(nasb) Jos 3:14 Igitur egressus est populus de tabernaculis suis, ut transiret Jordanem: et sacerdotes, qui portabant arcam fœderis, pergebant ante eum.(vulgate) Josué 3:14 Y aconteció que cuando el pueblo partió de sus tiendas para pasar el Jordán con los sacerdotes delante del pueblo llevando el arca del pacto,(E) Josué 3:14 Le peuple sortit de ses tentes pour passer le Jourdain, et les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche de l'alliance marchèrent devant le peuple.(F) Jos 3:14 Da nun das Volk auszog aus seinen Hütten, daß sie über den Jordan gingen, und die Priester die Lade des Bundes vor dem Volk her trugen(D) Jos 3:14 καὶ ἀπῆρεν ὁ λαὸς ἐκ τῶν σκηνωμάτων αὐτῶν διαβῆναι τὸν Ιορδάνην οἱ δὲ ἱερεῖς ἤροσαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου πρότεροι τοῦ λαοῦ(lxx) Jos 3:14 So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:15 ============ Jos 3:15 and when those who carried the ark came into the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest),(nasb) Jos 3:15 Ingressisque eis Jordanem, et pedibus eorum in parte aquæ tinctis (Jordanis autem ripas alvei sui tempore messis impleverat),(vulgate) Josué 3:15 cuando los que llevaban el arca entraron en el Jordán y los pies de los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca se mojaron a la orilla del agua (porque el Jordán suele desbordarse sobre todas sus riberas todo el tiempo de la siega),(E) Josué 3:15 Quand les sacrificateurs qui portaient l'arche furent arrivés au Jourdain, et que leurs pieds se furent mouillés au bord de l'eau, -le Jourdain regorge par-dessus toutes ses rives tout le temps de la moisson,(F) Jos 3:15 und an den Jordan kamen und ihre Füße vorn ins Wasser tauchten (der Jordan aber war voll an allen seinen Ufern die ganze Zeit der Ernte),(D) Jos 3:15 ὡς δὲ εἰσεπορεύοντο οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ αἴροντες τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης ἐπὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ οἱ πόδες τῶν ἱερέων τῶν αἰρόντων τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐβάφησαν εἰς μέρος τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ Ιορδάνου ὁ δὲ Ιορδάνης ἐπλήρου καθ᾽ ὅλην τὴν κρηπῖδα αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ἡμέραι θερισμοῦ πυρῶν(lxx) Jos 3:15 and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),(nkjv) ======= Joshua 3:16 ============ Jos 3:16 the waters which were flowing down from above stood and rose up in one heap, a great distance away at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those which were flowing down toward the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed opposite Jericho.(nasb) Jos 3:16 steterunt aquæ descendentes in loco uno, et ad instar montis intumescentes apparebant procul, ab urbe quæ vocatur Adom usque ad locum Sarthan: quæ autem inferiores erant, in mare Solitudinis (quod nunc vocatur Mortuum) descenderunt, usquequo omnino deficerent.(vulgate) Josué 3:16 las aguas que venían de arriba, se pararon como en un montón bien lejos de la ciudad de Adam, que está al lado de Zaretán; y las que descendían al mar del Arabá, el Mar Salado, se acabaron y fueron partidas; y el pueblo pasó frente a Jericó.(E) Josué 3:16 les eaux qui descendent d'en haut s'arrêtèrent, et s'élevèrent en un monceau, à une très grande distance, près de la ville d'Adam, qui est à côté de Tsarthan; et celles qui descendaient vers la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, furent complètement coupées. Le peuple passa vis-à-vis de Jéricho.(F) Jos 3:16 da stand das Wasser, das von oben herniederkam, aufgerichtet auf einem Haufen, sehr ferne, bei der Stadt Adam, die zur Seite Zarthans liegt; aber das Wasser das zum Meer hinunterlief, zum Salzmeer, das nahm ab und verfloß. Also ging das Volk hinüber, Jericho gegenüber.(D) Jos 3:16 καὶ ἔστη τὰ ὕδατα τὰ καταβαίνοντα ἄνωθεν ἔστη πῆγμα ἓν ἀφεστηκὸς μακρὰν σφόδρα σφοδρῶς ἕως μέρους Καριαθιαριμ τὸ δὲ καταβαῖνον κατέβη εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν Αραβα θάλασσαν ἁλός ἕως εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐξέλιπεν καὶ ὁ λαὸς εἱστήκει ἀπέναντι Ιεριχω(lxx) Jos 3:16 that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan.
