I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:3 ============ Jos 6:3 You shall march around the city, all the men of war circling the city once. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:5 ============ Jos 6:5 It shall be that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city will fall down flat, and the people will go up every man straight ahead."(nasb) Jos 6:5 Cumque insonuerit vox tubæ longior atque concisior, et in auribus vestris increpuerit, conclamabit omnis populus vociferatione maxima, et muri funditus corruent civitatis, ingredienturque singuli per locum contra quem steterint.(vulgate) Josué 6:5 Y cuando tocaren prolongadamente el cuerno de carnero, así que oyereis el sonido de la trompeta, todo el pueblo gritará a gran voz, y el muro de la ciudad se vendrá abajo; entonces el pueblo subirá cada uno en derecho de sí.(E) Josué 6:5 Quand ils sonneront de la corne retentissante, quand vous entendrez le son de la trompette, tout le peuple poussera de grands cris. Alors la muraille de la ville s'écroulera, et le peuple montera, chacun devant soi.(F) Jos 6:5 Und wenn man das Halljahrshorn bläst und es lange tönt, daß ihr die Posaune hört, so soll das ganze Volk ein großes Feldgeschrei machen, so werden der Stadt Mauern umfallen, und das Volk soll hineinsteigen, ein jeglicher stracks vor sich.(D) Jos 6:5 καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν σαλπίσητε τῇ σάλπιγγι ἀνακραγέτω πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἅμα καὶ ἀνακραγόντων αὐτῶν πεσεῖται αὐτόματα τὰ τείχη τῆς πόλεως καὶ εἰσελεύσεται πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὁρμήσας ἕκαστος κατὰ πρόσωπον εἰς τὴν πόλιν(lxx) Jos 6:5 It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. L'arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel allait derrière eux.(F) Jos 6:8 Da Josua solches dem Volk gesagt hatte, trugen die sieben Priester sieben Halljahrsposaunen vor der Lade des HERRN her und gingen und bliesen die Posaunen; und die Lade des Bundes des HERRN folgt ihnen nach.(D) Jos 6:8 καὶ ἑπτὰ ἱερεῖς ἔχοντες ἑπτὰ σάλπιγγας ἱερὰς παρελθέτωσαν ὡσαύτως ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου καὶ σημαινέτωσαν εὐτόνως καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐπακολουθείτω(lxx) Jos 6:8 So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the Lord advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:9 ============ Jos 6:9 The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while they continued to blow the trumpets.(nasb) Jos 6:9 omnisque præcederet armatus exercitus, reliquum vulgus arcam sequebatur, ac buccinis omnia concrepabant.(vulgate) Josué 6:9 Y los hombres armados iban delante de los sacerdotes que tocaban las trompetas, y la gente reunida iba detrás del arca, andando y tocando las trompetas.(E) Josué 6:9 Les hommes armés marchaient devant les sacrificateurs qui sonnaient des trompettes, et l'arrière-garde suivait l'arche; pendant la marche, on sonnait des trompettes.(F) Jos 6:9 Und wer gerüstet war, ging vor den Priestern her, die die Posaunen bliesen; und der Haufe folgte der Lade nach, und man blies Posaunen.(D) Jos 6:9 οἱ δὲ μάχιμοι ἔμπροσθεν παραπορευέσθωσαν καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ οὐραγοῦντες ὀπίσω τῆς κιβωτοῦ τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου πορευόμενοι καὶ σαλπίζοντες(lxx) Jos 6:9 The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:10 ============ Jos 6:10 But Joshua commanded the people, saying, "You shall not shout nor let your voice be heard nor let a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I tell you, 'Shout!' Then you shall shout!"(nasb) Jos 6:10 Præceperat autem Josue populo, dicens: Non clamabitis, nec audietur vox vestra, neque ullus sermo ex ore vestro egredietur, donec veniat dies in quo dicam vobis: Clamate, et vociferamini.(vulgate) Josué 6:10 Y Josué mandó al pueblo, diciendo: Vosotros no gritaréis, ni se oirá vuestra voz, ni saldrá palabra de vuestra boca, hasta el día que yo os diga: Gritad; entonces gritaréis.(E) Josué 6:10 Josué avait donné cet ordre au peuple: Vous ne crierez point, vous ne ferez point entendre votre voix, et il ne sortira pas un mot de votre bouche jusqu'au jour où je vous dirai: Poussez des cris! Alors vous pousserez des cris.(F) Jos 6:10 Josua aber gebot dem Volk und sprach: Ihr sollt kein Feldgeschrei machen noch eure Stimme hören lassen, noch soll ein Wort aus eurem Munde gehen bis auf den Tag, da ich zu euch sagen werde: Macht ein Feldgeschrei! so macht dann ein Feldgeschrei.(D) Jos 6:10 τῷ δὲ λαῷ ἐνετείλατο Ἰησοῦς λέγων μὴ βοᾶτε μηδὲ ἀκουσάτω μηθεὶς ὑμῶν τὴν φωνήν ἕως ἂν ἡμέραν αὐτὸς διαγγείλῃ ἀναβοῆσαι καὶ τότε ἀναβοήσετε(lxx) Jos 6:10 Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, "You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, 'Shout!' Then you shall shout."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:11 ============ Jos 6:11 So he had the ark of the Lord taken around the city, circling it once; then they came into the camp and spent the night in the camp.(nasb) Jos 6:11 Circuivit ergo arca Domini civitatem semel per diem, et reversa in castra mansit ibi.(vulgate) Josué 6:11 Así hizo que el arca de Jehová diera una vuelta alrededor de la ciudad, y volvieron luego al campamento, y en el campamento pasaron la noche.(E) Josué 6:11 L'arche de l'Eternel fit le tour de la ville, elle fit une fois le tour; puis on rentra dans le camp, et l'on y passa la nuit.(F) Jos 6:11 Also ging die Lade des HERRN rings um die Stadt einmal, und sie kamen in das Lager und blieben darin über Nacht.(D) Jos 6:11 καὶ περιελθοῦσα ἡ κιβωτὸς τῆς διαθήκης τοῦ θεοῦ τὴν πόλιν εὐθέως ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ἐκεῖ(lxx) Jos 6:11 So he had the ark of the Lord circle the city, going around it once. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the Lord, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:14 ============ Jos 6:14 Thus the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp; they did so for six days.(nasb) Jos 6:14 Circuieruntque civitatem secundo die semel, et reversi sunt in castra. Also taten sie sechs Tage.(D) Jos 6:14 καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πάλιν εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν οὕτως ἐποίει ἐπὶ ἓξ ἡμέρας(lxx) Jos 6:14 And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:15 ============ Jos 6:15 Then on the seventh day they rose early at the dawning of the day and marched around the city in the same manner seven times; only on that day they marched around the city seven times.(nasb) Jos 6:15 Dies autem septimo, diluculo consurgentes, circuierunt urbem, sicut dispositum erat, septies.(vulgate) Josué 6:15 Y sucedió que en el séptimo día se levantaron temprano, al despuntar el alba, y dieron vuelta a la ciudad de la misma manera siete veces; solamente ese día dieron vuelta alrededor de la ciudad siete veces.(E) Josué 6:15 Le septième jour, ils se levèrent de bon matin, dès l'aurore, et ils firent de la même manière sept fois le tour de la ville; ce fut le seul jour où ils firent sept fois le tour de la ville.(F) Jos 6:15 Am siebenten Tage aber, da die Morgenröte aufging, machten sie sich früh auf und gingen nach derselben Weise siebenmal um die Stadt, daß sie desselben einen Tages siebenmal um die Stadt kamen.(D) Jos 6:15 καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἀνέστησαν ὄρθρου καὶ περιήλθοσαν τὴν πόλιν ἑξάκις(lxx) Jos 6:15 But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:16 ============ Jos 6:16 At the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, "Shout! For the Lord has given you the city.(nasb) Jos 6:16 Cumque septimo circuitu clangerent buccinis sacerdotes, dixit Josue ad omnem Israël: Vociferamini: tradidit enim vobis Dominus civitatem.(vulgate) Josué 6:16 Y aconteció que cuando los sacerdotes tocaron las trompetas la séptima vez, Josué dijo al pueblo: ¡Gritad! Porque Jehová os ha entregado la ciudad.(E) Josué 6:16 A la septième fois, comme les sacrificateurs sonnaient des trompettes, Josué dit au peuple: Poussez des cris, car l'Eternel vous a livré la ville!(F) Jos 6:16 Und beim siebentenmal, da die Priester die Posaunen bliesen, sprach Josua zum Volk: Macht ein Feldgeschrei; denn der HERR hat euch die Stadt gegeben.(D) Jos 6:16 καὶ τῇ περιόδῳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἐσάλπισαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ κεκράξατε παρέδωκεν γὰρ κύριος ὑμῖν τὴν πόλιν(lxx) Jos 6:16 And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: "Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:17 ============ Jos 6:17 The city shall be under the ban, it and all that is in it belongs to the Lord; only Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in the house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent.(nasb) Jos 6:17 Sitque civitas hæc anathema, et omnia quæ in ea sunt, Domino: sola Rahab meretrix vivat, cum universis qui cum ea in domo sunt: abscondit enim nuntios quos direximus.(vulgate) Josué 6:17 Mas la ciudad será anatema a Jehová, ella con todas las cosas que están en ella: solamente Rahab la ramera vivirá, con todos los que estuvieren en casa con ella, por cuanto escondió los mensajeros que enviamos.(E) Josué 6:17 La ville sera dévouée à l'Eternel par interdit, elle et tout ce qui s'y trouve; mais on laissera la vie à Rahab la prostituée et à tous ceux qui seront avec elle dans la maison, parce qu'elle a caché les messagers que nous avions envoyés.(F) Jos 6:17 Aber diese Stadt und alles, was darin ist, soll dem HERRN verbannt sein. Allein die Hure Rahab soll leben bleiben und alle, die mit ihr im Hause sind; denn sie hat die Boten verborgen, die wir aussandten.(D) Jos 6:17 καὶ ἔσται ἡ πόλις ἀνάθεμα αὐτὴ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ κυρίῳ σαβαωθ πλὴν Ρααβ τὴν πόρνην περιποιήσασθε αὐτὴν καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτῆς(lxx) Jos 6:17 Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Und die Mauer fielen um, und das Volk erstieg die Stadt, ein jeglicher stracks vor sich. Also gewannen sie die Stadt(D) Jos 6:20 καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ταῖς σάλπιγξιν οἱ ἱερεῖς ὡς δὲ ἤκουσεν ὁ λαὸς τὴν φωνὴν τῶν σαλπίγγων ἠλάλαξεν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἅμα ἀλαλαγμῷ μεγάλῳ καὶ ἰσχυρῷ καὶ ἔπεσεν ἅπαν τὸ τεῖχος κύκλῳ καὶ ἀνέβη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὴν πόλιν(lxx) Jos 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. So she dwells in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 6:26 ============ Jos 6:26 Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying, "Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates."(nasb) Jos 6:26 Maledictus vir coram Domino, qui suscitaverit et ædificaverit civitatem Jericho. In primogenito suo fundamenta illius jaciat, et in novissimo liberorum ponat portas ejus.(vulgate) Josué 6:26 Y en aquel tiempo Josué les juramentó diciendo: Maldito delante de Jehová el hombre que se levantare y reedificare esta ciudad de Jericó. En su primogénito eche sus cimientos, y en su [hijo] menor asiente sus puertas.(E) Josué 6:26 Ce fut alors que Josué jura, en disant: Maudit soit devant l'Eternel l'homme qui se lèvera pour rebâtir cette ville de Jéricho! Il en jettera les fondements au prix de son premier-né, et il en posera les portes au prix de son plus jeune fils.(F) Jos 6:26 Zu der Zeit schwur Josua und sprach: Verflucht sei der Mann vor dem HERRN, der sich aufmacht und diese Stadt Jericho wieder baut!
