king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:2 ============ Jos 11:2 and to the kings who were of the north in the hill country, and in the Arabah--south of Chinneroth and in the lowland and on the heights of Dor on the west"(nasb) Jos 11:2 ad reges quoque aquilonis, qui habitabant in montanis et in planitie contra meridiem Ceneroth, in campestribus quoque et in regionibus Dor juxta mare:(vulgate) Josué 11:2 y a los reyes que [estaban] en el norte de las montañas, y en la llanura del sur de Cineret, y en los llanos, y en las regiones de Dor al in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:3 ============ Jos 11:3 to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.(nasb) Jos 11:3 Chananæum quoque ab oriente et occidente, et Amorrhæum atque Hethæum ac Pherezæum et Χετταίους τοὺς ὑπὸ τὴν Αερμων εἰς γῆν Μασσηφα(lxx) Jos 11:3 to the Canaanites in the east and in the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the mountains, and the Hivite below Hermon in the land of Mizpah.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:4 ============ Jos 11:4 They came out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots.(nasb) Jos 11:4 Egressique sunt omnes cum turmis suis, populus multus nimis sicut arena quæ est in littore maris, equi quoque et currus immensæ multitudinis.(vulgate) Josué 11:4 Éstos salieron, y con ellos todos sus ejércitos, mucha gente, como la arena que [está] a la orilla del mar, con muchísimos caballos y carros.(E) Josué 11:4 Ils sortirent, eux et toutes leurs armées avec eux, formant un peuple innombrable comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer, et ayant des chevaux et des chars en très grande quantité.(F) Jos 11:4 Diese zogen aus mit allem ihrem Heer, ein großes Volk, so viel als des Sandes am Meer, und sehr viel Rosse und Wagen.(D) Jos 11:4 καὶ ἐξῆλθον αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ὥσπερ ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης τῷ πλήθει καὶ ἵπποι καὶ ἅρματα πολλὰ σφόδρα(lxx) Jos 11:4 So they went out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:5 ============ Jos 11:5 So all of these kings having agreed to meet, came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.(nasb) Jos 11:5 Conveneruntque omnes reges isti in unum ad aquas Merom, ut pugnarent contra Israël.~(vulgate) Josué 11:5 Y cuando todos estos reyes se reunieron, vinieron y acamparon juntos frente a las aguas de Merom, para pelear contra πολεμῆσαι τὸν Ισραηλ(lxx) Jos 11:5 And when all these kings had met together, they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:6 ============ Jos 11:6 Then the Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire."(nasb) Jos 11:6 Dixitque Dominus ad Josue: Ne timeas eos: cras enim hac eadem hora ego tradam omnes istos vulnerandos in conspectu Israël: equos eorum subnervabis, et currus igne combures.(vulgate) Josué 11:6 Mas Jehová dijo a Josué: No tengas temor de ellos, porque mañana a esta hora yo entregaré a todos éstos, muertos delante de Israel; Desjarretarás sus caballos y sus carros quemarás a fuego.(E) Josué 11:6 L'Eternel dit à Josué: Ne les crains point, car demain, à ce moment-ci, je les livrerai tous frappés devant Israël. Tu couperas les jarrets à leurs chevaux, et tu brûleras au feu leurs chars.(F) Jos 11:6 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen! denn morgen um diese Zeit will ich sie alle erschlagen geben vor den Kindern Israel; ihre Rosse sollst du Lähmen und ihre Wagen mit Feuer verbrennen.(D) Jos 11:6 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ἰησοῦν μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν ὅτι αὔριον ταύτην τὴν ὥραν ἐγὼ παραδίδωμι τετροπωμένους αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον τοῦ Ισραηλ τοὺς ἵππους αὐτῶν νευροκοπήσεις καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτῶν κατακαύσεις ἐν πυρί(lxx) Jos 11:6 But the Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire."(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:7 ============ Jos 11:7 So Joshua and all the people of war with him came upon them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.(nasb) Jos 11:7 Venitque Josue, et omnis exercitus cum eo, adversus illos ad aquas Merom subito, et irruerunt super eos,(vulgate) Josué 11:7 Y vino Josué, y con él todo el pueblo de guerra, contra ellos, y dio de repente sobre ellos junto a las aguas de Merom.(E) Josué 11:7 Josué, avec tous ses gens de guerre, arriva subitement sur eux près des eaux de Mérom, et ils se précipitèrent au milieu d'eux.(F) Jos 11:7 Und Josua kam plötzlich über sie und alles Kriegsvolk mit ihm am Wasser Merom, und überfielen sie.(D) Jos 11:7 καὶ ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὁ πολεμιστὴς ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὸ ὕδωρ Μαρρων ἐξάπινα καὶ ἐπέπεσαν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ(lxx) Jos 11:7 So Joshua and all the people of war with him came against them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and they attacked them.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:8 ============ Jos 11:8 The Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon and Misrephoth-maim and the valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them.(nasb) Jos 11:8 tradiditque illos Dominus in manus Israël. Qui percusserunt eos, et persecuti sunt usque ad Sidonem magnam, et aquas Maserephoth, campumque Masphe, qui est ad orientalem illius partem. Ita percussit omnes, ut nullas dimitteret ex eis reliquias:(vulgate) Josué 11:8 Y los entregó Jehová en manos de Israel, los cuales los hirieron y siguieron hasta Sidón la grande, y hasta Misrefotmaim, y hasta el llano de Mizpa al oriente, hiriéndolos hasta que no les dejaron ninguno.(E) Josué 11:8 L'Eternel les livra entre les mains d'Israël; ils les battirent et les poursuivirent jusqu'à Sidon la grande, jusqu'à Misrephoth-Maïm, et jusqu'à la vallée de Mitspa vers l'orient; ils les battirent, sans en laisser échapper aucun.(F) Jos 11:8 Und der HERR gab sie in die Hände Israels, und schlugen sie und jagten sie bis gen Groß-Sidon und bis an die warmen Wasser und bis an die Ebene Mizpa gegen Morgen und schlugen sie, bis daß niemand unter ihnen übrigblieb.(D) Jos 11:8 καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος ὑποχειρίους Ισραηλ καὶ κόπτοντες αὐτοὺς κατεδίωκον ἕως Σιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης καὶ ἕως Μασερων καὶ ἕως τῶν πεδίων Μασσωχ κατ᾽ ἀνατολὰς καὶ κατέκοψαν αὐτοὺς ἕως τοῦ μὴ καταλειφθῆναι αὐτῶν διασεσῳσμένον(lxx) Jos 11:8 And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who defeated them and chased them to Greater Sidon, to the Brook Misrephoth, and to the Valley of Mizpah eastward; they attacked them until they left none of them remaining.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:9 ============ Jos 11:9 Joshua did to them as the Lord had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.(nasb) Jos 11:9 fecitque sicut præceperat ei Dominus: equos eorum subnervavit, currusque combussit igni.(vulgate) Josué 11:9 Y Josué hizo con ellos como Jehová le había mandado; desjarretó sus caballos, y sus carros quemó a fuego.(E) Josué 11:9 Josué les traita comme l'Eternel lui avait dit; il coupa les jarrets à leurs chevaux, et il brûla leurs chars au feu.(F) Jos 11:9 Da tat ihnen Josua, wie der HERR ihm gesagt hatte, und lähmte ihre Rosse und verbrannte ihre Wagen(D) Jos 11:9 καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος τοὺς ἵππους αὐτῶν ἐνευροκόπησεν καὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτῶν ἐνέπρησεν ἐν πυρί(lxx) Jos 11:9 So Joshua did to them as the Lord had told him: he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:10 ============ Jos 11:10 Then Joshua turned back at that time, and captured Hazor and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor formerly was the head of all these kingdoms.(nasb) Jos 11:10 Reversusque statim cepit Asor, et regem ejus percussit gladio. Asor enim antiquitus inter omnia regna hæc principatum tenebat.(vulgate) Josué 11:10 Y volviendo Josué, tomó en el mismo tiempo a Hazor, e hirió a espada a su rey; pues Hazor había sido antes cabeza de todos estos reinos.(E) Josué 11:10 A son retour, et dans le même temps, Josué prit Hatsor, et frappa son roi avec l'épée: Hatsor était autrefois la principale ville de tous ces royaumes.(F) Jos 11:10 und kehrte um zu derselben Zeit und gewann Hazor und schlug seinen König mit dem Schwert; denn Hazor war vormals die Hauptstadt aller dieser Königreiche.(D) Jos 11:10 καὶ ἀπεστράφη Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ καὶ κατελάβετο Ασωρ καὶ τὸν βασιλέα αὐτῆς ἦν δὲ Ασωρ τὸ πρότερον ἄρχουσα πασῶν τῶν βασιλειῶν τούτων(lxx) Jos 11:10 Joshua turned back at that time and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor was formerly the head of all those kingdoms.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:11 ============ Jos 11:11 They struck every person who was in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was no one left who breathed. And he burned Hazor with fire.(nasb) Jos 11:11 Percussitque omnes animas quæ ibidem morabantur: non dimisit in ea ullas reliquias, sed usque ad internecionem universa vastavit, ipsamque urbem peremit incendio.(vulgate) Josué 11:11 E hirieron a espada a todas las almas que [había] en ella, destruyéndoles por completo; no quedo nada que respirase; y a Hazor pusieron a fuego.(E) Josué 11:11 On frappa du tranchant de l'épée et l'on dévoua par interdit tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, il ne resta rien de ce qui respirait, et l'on mit le feu à Hatsor.(F) Jos 11:11 Und sie schlugen alle Seelen, die darin waren, mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und verbannten sie, und er ließ nichts übrigbleiben, das Odem hatte, und verbrannte Hazor mit Feuer.(D) Jos 11:11 καὶ ἀπέκτειναν πᾶν ἐμπνέον ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν ξίφει καὶ ἐξωλέθρευσαν πάντας καὶ οὐ κατελείφθη ἐν αὐτῇ ἐμπνέον καὶ τὴν Ασωρ ἐνέπρησαν ἐν πυρί(lxx) Jos 11:11 And they struck all the people who were in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them. They left no one who breathed.(nasb) Jos 11:14 Omnemque prædam istarum urbium ac jumenta diviserunt sibi filii Israël, cunctis hominibus interfectis.(vulgate) Josué 11:14 Y los hijos de Israel tomaron para sí todo el despojo y el ganado de estas ciudades; pero a todos los hombres metieron a espada hasta destruirlos, sin dejar nada que respirase.(E) Josué 11:14 Les enfants d'Israël gardèrent pour eux tout le butin de ces villes et le bétail; mais ils frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée tous les hommes, jusqu'à ce qu'ils les eussent détruits, sans rien laisser de ce qui respirait.(F) Jos 11:14 Und allen Raub dieser Städte und das Vieh teilten die Kinder Israel unter sich; aber alle Menschen schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts, bis sie die vertilgten, und ließen nichts übrigbleiben, das Odem hatte.(D) Jos 11:14 καὶ πάντα τὰ σκῦλα αὐτῆς ἐπρονόμευσαν ἑαυτοῖς οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ αὐτοὺς δὲ πάντας ἐξωλέθρευσαν ἐν στόματι ξίφους ἕως ἀπώλεσεν αὐτούς οὐ κατέλιπον ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐδὲ ἓν ἐμπνέον(lxx) Jos 11:14 And all the spoil of these cities and the livestock, the children of Israel took as booty for themselves; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, and they left none breathing.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 11:15 ============ Jos 11:15 Just as the Lord had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.(nasb) Jos 11:15 Sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi servo suo, ita præcepit Moyses Josue, et ille universa complevit: non præteriit de universis mandatis, nec unum quidem verbum quod jusserat Dominus Moysi.(vulgate) Josué 11:15 De la manera que Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés su siervo, así Moisés lo mandó a Josué: y así Josué lo hizo, sin quitar palabra de todo lo que Jehová había mandado a Moisés.(E) Josué 11:15 Josué exécuta les ordres de l'Eternel à Moïse, son serviteur, et de Moïse à Josué; il ne négligea rien de tout ce que l'Eternel avait ordonné à Moïse.(F) Jos 11:15 Wie der HERR dem Mose, seinem Knecht, und Mose Josua geboten hatte, so tat Josua, daß nichts fehlte an allem, was der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.(D) Jos 11:15 ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ τῷ παιδὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ Μωυσῆς ὡσαύτως ἐνετείλατο τῷ Ἰησοῖ καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησεν Ἰησοῦς οὐ παρέβη οὐδὲν ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν συνέταξεν αὐτῷ Μωυσῆς(lxx) Jos 11:15 As the Lord had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did.
