Afterward I brought you out.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:6 ============ Jos 24:6 I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea; and Egypt pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.(nasb) Jos 24:6 Eduxique vos et patres vestros de Ægypto, et venistis ad mare: persecutique sunt Ægyptii patres vestros cum curribus et equitatu, usque ad mare Rubrum.(vulgate) Josué 24:6 Y saqué a vuestros padres de Egipto: y como llegaron al mar, los egipcios siguieron a vuestros padres hasta el Mar Rojo con carros y caballería.(E) Josué 24:6 Je fis sortir vos pères de l'Egypte, et vous arrivâtes à la mer. Und da ihr an das Meer kamt und die Ägypter euren Vätern nachjagten mit Wagen und Reitern ans Schilfmeer,(D) Jos 24:6 ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ εἰσήλθατε εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ἐρυθράν καὶ κατεδίωξαν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὀπίσω τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ἐν ἅρμασιν καὶ ἐν ἵπποις εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ἐρυθράν(lxx) Jos 24:6 'Then I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea; and the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:7 ============ Jos 24:7 But when they cried out to the Lord, He put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them and covered them; and your own eyes saw what I did in Egypt. And you lived in the wilderness for a long time.(nasb) Jos 24:7 Clamaverunt autem ad Dominum filii Israël: qui posuit tenebras inter vos et Ægyptios, et adduxit super eos mare, et operuit eos. Viderunt oculi vestri cuncta quæ in Ægypto fecerim, et habitastis in solitudine multo tempore:(vulgate) Josué 24:7 Y cuando ellos clamaron a Jehová, Él puso oscuridad entre vosotros y los egipcios, e hizo venir sobre ellos el mar, el cual los cubrió; y vuestros ojos vieron lo que hice en Egipto. Después estuvisteis muchos días en el desierto.(E) Josué 24:7 Vos pères crièrent à l'Eternel. Et l'Eternel mit des ténèbres entre vous et les Egyptiens, il ramena sur eux la mer, et elle les couvrit. Vos yeux ont vu ce que j'ai fait aux Egyptiens. Et vous restâtes longtemps dans le désert.(F) Jos 24:7 da schrieen sie zum HERRN; der setzte eine Finsternis zwischen euch und die Ägypter und führte das Meer über sie, und es bedeckte sie. Und eure Augen haben gesehen, was ich an den Ägyptern getan habe. Und ihr habt gewohnt in der Wüste eine lange Zeit.(D) Jos 24:7 καὶ ἀνεβοήσαμεν πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἔδωκεν νεφέλην καὶ γνόφον ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτούς καὶ εἴδοσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἦτε ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἡμέρας πλείους(lxx) Jos 24:7 'So they cried out to the Lord; and He put darkness between you and the Egyptians, brought the sea upon them, and covered them. And your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. Then you dwelt in the wilderness a long time.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:8 ============ Jos 24:8 Then I brought you into the land of the Amorites who lived beyond the Jordan, and they fought with you; and I gave them into your hand, and you took possession of their land when I destroyed them before you.(nasb) Jos 24:8 et introduxi vos in terram Amorrhæi, qui habitabat trans Jordanem. Cumque pugnarent contra vos, tradidi eos in manus vestras, et possedistis terram eorum, atque interfecistis eos.(vulgate) Josué 24:8 Y os introduje en la tierra de los amorreos, que habitaban al otro lado del Jordán, los cuales pelearon contra vosotros; mas yo los entregué en vuestras manos, y poseísteis su tierra, y los destruí de delante de vosotros.(E) Josué 24:8 Je vous conduisis dans le pays des Amoréens, qui habitaient de l'autre côté du Jourdain, et ils combattirent contre vous. Je les livrai entre vos mains; vous prîtes possession de leur pays, et je les détruisis devant vous.(F) Jos 24:8 Und ich habe euch gebracht in das Land der Amoriter, die jenseit des Jordans wohnten; und da sie wider euch stritten, gab ich sie in eure Hände, daß ihr ihr Land besaßet, und vertilgte sie vor euch her.(D) Jos 24:8 καὶ ἤγαγεν ὑμᾶς εἰς γῆν Αμορραίων τῶν κατοικούντων πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ παρετάξαντο ὑμῖν καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ὑμῶν καὶ κατεκληρονομήσατε τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξωλεθρεύσατε αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν(lxx) Jos 24:8 'And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, who dwelt on the other side of the Jordan, and they fought with you. But I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land, and I destroyed them from before you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:9 ============ Jos 24:9 Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel, and he sent and summoned Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.(nasb) Jos 24:9 Surrexit autem Balac filius Sephor rex Moab, et pugnavit contra Israëlem. Misitque et vocavit Balaam filium Beor, ut malediceret vobis:(vulgate) Josué 24:9 Y se levantó después Balac, hijo de Zipor, rey de los moabitas, y peleó contra Israel; y envió a llamar a Balaam, hijo de Beor, para que os maldijese.(E) Josué 24:9 Balak, fils de Tsippor, roi de Moab, se leva et combattit Israël. Il fit appeler Balaam, fils de Beor, pour qu'il vous maudît.(F) Jos 24:9 Da machte sich auf Balak, der Sohn Zippors, der Moabiter König, und stritt wider Israel und sandte hin und ließ rufen Bileam, den Sohn Beors, daß er euch verfluchte.(D) Jos 24:9 καὶ ἀνέστη Βαλακ ὁ τοῦ Σεπφωρ βασιλεὺς Μωαβ καὶ παρετάξατο τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἀποστείλας ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Βαλααμ ἀράσασθαι ὑμῖν(lxx) Jos 24:9 'Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose to make war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:10 ============ Jos 24:10 But I was not willing to listen to Balaam. So he had to bless you, and I delivered you from his hand.(nasb) Jos 24:10 et ego nolui audire eum, sed e contrario per illum benedixi vobis, et liberavi vos de manu ejus.(vulgate) Josué 24:10 Pero yo no quise escuchar a Balaam y él tuvo que bendeciros, así os libré yo de sus manos.(E) Josué 24:10 Mais je ne voulus point écouter Balaam; il vous bénit, et je vous délivrai de la main de Balak.(F) Jos 24:10 Aber ich wollte ihn nicht hören. Und er segnete euch und ich errettete euch aus seinen Händen.(D) Jos 24:10 καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἀπολέσαι σε καὶ εὐλογίαν εὐλόγησεν ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξείλατο ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτούς(lxx) Jos 24:10 'But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he continued to bless you. So I delivered you out of his hand.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:11 ============ Jos 24:11 You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho; and the citizens of Jericho fought against you, and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. Thus I gave them into your hand.(nasb) Jos 24:11 Transistisque Jordanem, et venistis ad Jericho. Je les livrai entre vos mains,(F) Jos 24:11 Und da ihr über den Jordan gingt und gen Jericho kamt, stritten wider euch die Bürger von Jericho, die Amoriter, Pheresiter, Kanaaniter, Hethiter, Girgasiter, Heviter und Jebusiter; aber ich gab sie in eure Hände.(D) Jos 24:11 καὶ διέβητε τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ παρεγενήθητε εἰς Ιεριχω καὶ ἐπολέμησαν πρὸς ὑμᾶς οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ιεριχω ὁ Αμορραῖος καὶ ὁ Χαναναῖος καὶ ὁ Φερεζαῖος καὶ ὁ Ευαῖος καὶ ὁ Ιεβουσαῖος καὶ ὁ Χετταῖος καὶ ὁ Γεργεσαῖος καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ὑμῶν(lxx) Jos 24:11 'Then you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho. And the men of Jericho fought against you--also the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. But I delivered them into your hand.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:12 ============ Jos 24:12 Then I sent the hornet before you and it drove out the two kings of the Amorites from before you, but not by your sword or your bow.(nasb) Jos 24:12 Misique ante vos crabrones: et ejeci eos de locis suis, duos reges Amorrhæorum, non in gladio nec in arcu tuo.(vulgate) Josué 24:12 Y envié avispas delante de vosotros, las cuales echaron de delante de vosotros a los dos reyes de los amorreos; [pero] no con tu espada, ni con tu arco.(E) Josué 24:12 et j'envoyai devant vous les frelons, qui les chassèrent loin de votre face, comme les deux rois des Amoréens: ce ne fut ni par ton épée, ni par ton arc.(F) Jos 24:12 Und sandte Hornissen vor euch her; die trieben sie aus vor euch her, die zwei Könige der Amoriter, nicht durch dein Schwert noch durch deinen Bogen.(D) Jos 24:12 καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν προτέραν ὑμῶν τὴν σφηκιάν καὶ ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν δώδεκα βασιλεῖς τῶν Αμορραίων οὐκ ἐν τῇ ῥομφαίᾳ σου οὐδὲ ἐν τῷ τόξῳ σου(lxx) Jos 24:12 'I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, also the two kings of the Amorites, but not with your sword or with your bow.(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:13 ============ Jos 24:13 I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you had not built, and you have lived in them; you are eating of vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.' "We Will Serve the Lord"(nasb) Jos 24:13 Dedique vobis terram, in qua non laborastis, et urbes quas non ædificastis, ut habitaretis in eis: vineas, et oliveta, quæ non plantastis.(vulgate) Josué 24:13 Y os di la tierra por la cual nada trabajasteis, y las ciudades que no edificasteis, en las cuales moráis; y de las viñas y olivares que no plantasteis, coméis.(E) Josué 24:13 Je vous donnai un pays que vous n'aviez point cultivé, des villes que vous n'aviez point bâties et que vous habitez, des vignes et des oliviers que vous n'aviez point plantés et qui vous servent de nourriture.(F) Jos 24:13 Und ich habe euch ein Land gegeben, daran ihr nicht gearbeitet habt, und Städte, die ihr nicht gebaut habt, daß ihr darin wohnt und eßt von Weinbergen und Ölbäumen, die ihr nicht gepflanzt habt.(D) Jos 24:13 καὶ ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν γῆν ἐφ᾽ ἣν οὐκ ἐκοπιάσατε ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ πόλεις ἃς οὐκ ᾠκοδομήσατε καὶ κατῳκίσθητε ἐν αὐταῖς καὶ ἀμπελῶνας καὶ ἐλαιῶνας οὓς οὐκ ἐφυτεύσατε ὑμεῖς ἔδεσθε(lxx) Jos 24:13 'I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.'(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:14 ============ Jos 24:14 "Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.(nasb) Jos 24:14 Nunc ergo timete Dominum, et servite ei perfecto corde atque verissimo: et auferte deos quibus servierunt patres vestri in Mesopotamia et in Ægypto, ac servite Domino.(vulgate) Josué 24:14 Ahora pues, temed a Jehová, y servidle con integridad y en verdad; y quitad de en medio los dioses a los cuales sirvieron vuestros padres al otro lado del río, y en Egipto; y servid a Jehová.(E) Josué 24:14 Maintenant, craignez l'Eternel, et servez-le avec intégrité et fidélité. Faites disparaître les dieux qu'ont servis vos pères de l'autre côté du fleuve et en Egypte, et servez l'Eternel.(F) Jos 24:14 So fürchtet nun den HERRN und dient ihm treulich und rechtschaffen und laßt fahren die Götter, denen eure Väter gedient haben jenseit des Stroms und in Ägypten, und dient dem HERRN.(D) Jos 24:14 καὶ νῦν φοβήθητε κύριον καὶ λατρεύσατε αὐτῷ ἐν εὐθύτητι καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ περιέλεσθε τοὺς θεοὺς τοὺς ἀλλοτρίους οἷς ἐλάτρευσαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ λατρεύετε κυρίῳ(lxx) Jos 24:14 "Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!(nkjv) ======= Joshua 24:15 ============ Jos 24:15 If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."(nasb) Jos 24:15 Sin autem malum vobis videtur ut Domino serviatis, optio vobis datur: eligite hodie quod placet, cui servire potissimum debeatis: utrum diis, quibus servierunt patres vestri in Mesopotamia, an diis Amorrhæorum, in quorum terra habitatis: ego autem et domus mea serviemus Domino.~(vulgate) Josué 24:15 Y si mal os parece servir a Jehová, escogeos hoy a quién sirváis; si a los dioses a quienes sirvieron vuestros padres, cuando estuvieron al otro lado del río, o a los dioses de los amorreos en cuya tierra habitáis; pero yo y mi casa serviremos a Jehová.(E) Josué 24:15 Et si vous ne trouvez pas bon de servir l'Eternel, choisissez aujourd'hui qui vous voulez servir, ou les dieux que servaient vos pères au delà du fleuve, ou les dieux des Amoréens dans le pays desquels vous habitez.
