He was five years old when the report of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened that in her hurry to flee, he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.(nasb) 2Sa 4:4 Erat autem Jonathæ filio Saul filius debilis pedibus: quinquennis enim fuit, quando venit nuntius de Saul et Jonatha ex Jezrahel. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 4:7 ============ 2Sa 4:7 Now when they came into the house, as he was lying on his bed in his bedroom, they struck him and killed him and beheaded him. Therefore, shall I not now require his blood at your hand and remove you from the earth?"(nkjv) ======= 2 Samuel 4:12 ============ 2Sa 4:12 Then David commanded the young men, and they killed them and cut off their hands and feet and hung them up beside the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and buried it in the grave of Abner in Hebron.(nasb) 2Sa 4:12 Præcepit itaque David pueris suis, et interfecerunt eos: præcidentesque manus et pedes eorum, suspenderunt eos super piscinam in Hebron: caput autem Isboseth tulerunt, et sepelierunt in sepulchro Abner in Hebron.(vulgate) 2 Samuel 4:12 Entonces David dio orden a sus jóvenes, y ellos los mataron, y les cortaron las manos y los pies, y [los] colgaron sobre el estanque, en Hebrón. Aber das Haupt Is-Boseths nahmen sie und begruben's in Abners Grab zu Hebron.(D) 2Sa 4:12 καὶ ἐνετείλατο Δαυιδ τοῖς παιδαρίοις αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀποκτέννουσιν αὐτοὺς καὶ κολοβοῦσιν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκρέμασαν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τῆς κρήνης ἐν Χεβρων καὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν Μεμφιβοσθε ἔθαψαν ἐν τῷ τάφῳ Αβεννηρ υἱοῦ Νηρ(lxx) 2Sa 4:12 So David commanded his young men, and they executed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hanged them by the pool in Hebron.
