the people of Israel and their priests and the Levites in my kingdom who are willing to go to Jerusalem, may go with you.(nasb) Ezr 7:13 A me decretum est, ut cuicumque placuerit in regno meo de sent by the king and his seven counselors to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, with regard to the Law of your God which is in your hand;(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:15 ============ Ezr 7:15 and to bring the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem,(nasb) Ezr 7:15 et ut feras argentum et aurum quod rex, et offered to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem;(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:16 ============ Ezr 7:16 with all the silver and gold which you find in the whole province of Babylon, along with the freewill offering of the people and of the priests, who offered willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem;(nasb) Ezr 7:16 Et omne argentum et aurum quodcumque inveneris in universa provincia Babylonis, et populus offerre voluerit, et de sacerdotibus quæ sponte obtulerint domui Dei sui, quæ est in Jerusalem,(vulgate) Esdras 7:16 y toda la plata y el oro que hallares en toda la with this money, therefore, you shall diligently buy bulls, rams and lambs, with their grain offerings and their drink offerings and offer them on the altar of the house of your God which is in προσοίσεις αὐτὰ ἐπὶ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν τοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Ezr 7:17 now therefore, be careful to buy with this money bulls, rams, and lambs, with their grain offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them on the altar of the house of your God in Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:18 ============ Ezr 7:18 Whatever seems good to you and to your brothers to do with the rest of the provinces beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, may require of you, it shall be done diligently,(nasb) Ezr 7:21 et a me. For why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:24 ============ Ezr 7:24 We also inform you that it is not allowed to impose tax, tribute or toll on any of the priests, Levites, singers, doorkeepers, Nethinim or servants of this house of God.(nasb) Ezr 7:24 Vobis quoque notum facimus de universis sacerdotibus, et Levitis, et cantoribus, et janitoribus, Nathinæis, et ministris domus Dei hujus, ut vectigal, et tributum, et annonas non habeatis potestatem imponendi super eos.(vulgate) Esdras 7:24 También os hacemos saber tocante a todos los sacerdotes, levitas, cantores, porteros, servidores del templo y ministros de la casa de Dios, que no es lícito imponerles tributo, impuesto o renta.(E) Esdras 7:24 Nous vous faisons savoir qu'il ne peut être levé ni tribut, ni impôt, ni droit de passage, sur aucun des sacrificateurs, des Lévites, des chantres, des portiers, des Néthiniens, et des serviteurs de cette maison de Dieu.(F) Ezr 7:24 Und euch sei kund, daß ihr nicht Macht habt, Zins, Zoll und jährliche Rente zu legen auf irgend einen Priester, Leviten, Sänger, Torhüter, Tempelknecht und Diener im Hause dieses Gottes.(D) Ezr 7:24 καὶ ὑμῖν ἐγνώρισται ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν καὶ τοῖς Λευίταις ᾄδουσιν πυλωροῖς ναθινιμ καὶ λειτουργοῖς οἴκου θεοῦ τούτου φόρος μὴ ἔστω σοι οὐκ ἐξουσιάσεις καταδουλοῦσθαι αὐτούς(lxx) Ezr 7:24 Also we inform you that it shall not be lawful to impose tax, tribute, or custom on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, Nethinim, or servants of this house of God.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:25 ============ Ezr 7:25 "You, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God which is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges that they may judge all the people who are in the province beyond the River, even all those who know the laws of your God; and you may teach anyone who is ignorant of them.(nasb) Ezr 7:25 Tu autem Esdra, secundum sapientiam Dei tui, quæ est in manu tua, constitue judices et præsides, ut judicent omni populo qui est trans flumen, his videlicet qui noverunt legem Dei tui: sed et imperitos docete libere.(vulgate) Esdras 7:25 Y tú, Esdras, conforme a la sabiduría que tienes de tu Dios, pon jueces y gobernadores, que gobiernen a todo el pueblo que está del otro lado del río, a todos los que conocen las leyes de tu Dios; y al que no las conoce, le enseñarás.(E) Esdras 7:25 Et toi, Esdras, selon la sagesse de Dieu que tu possèdes, établis des juges et des magistrats qui rendent la justice à tout le peuple de l'autre côté du fleuve, à tous ceux qui connaissent les lois de ton Dieu; et fais-les connaître à ceux qui ne les connaissent pas.(F) Ezr 7:25 Du aber, Esra, nach der Weisheit deines Gottes, die unter deiner Hand ist, setze Richter und Pfleger, die alles Volk richten, das jenseit des Wassers ist, alle, die das Gesetz deines Gottes wissen; und welche es nicht wissen, die lehret es.(D) Ezr 7:25 καὶ σύ Εσδρα ὡς ἡ σοφία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν χειρί σου κατάστησον γραμματεῖς καὶ κριτάς ἵνα ὦσιν κρίνοντες παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῷ ἐν πέρα τοῦ ποταμοῦ πᾶσιν τοῖς εἰδόσιν νόμον τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ τῷ μὴ εἰδότι γνωριεῖτε(lxx) Ezr 7:25 And you, Ezra, according to your God-given wisdom, set magistrates and judges who may judge all the people who are in the region beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach those who do not know them.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:26 ============ Ezr 7:26 Whoever will not observe the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be executed upon him strictly, whether for death or for banishment or for confiscation of goods or for imprisonment."(nasb) Ezr 7:26 Et omnis qui non fecerit legem Dei tui, et legem regis, diligenter, judicium erit de eo sive in mortem, sive in exilium, sive in condemnationem substantiæ ejus, vel certe in carcerem.~(vulgate) Esdras 7:26 Y cualquiera que no cumpliere la ley de tu Dios, y la ley del rey, prestamente sea juzgado, o a muerte, o a destierro, o a confiscación de bienes, o a prisión.(E) Esdras 7:26 Quiconque n'observera pas ponctuellement la loi de ton Dieu et la loi du roi sera condamné à la mort, au bannissement, à une amende, ou à la prison.(F) Ezr 7:26 Und ein jeglicher, der nicht mit Fleiß tun wird das Gesetz deines Gottes und das Gesetz des Königs, der soll sein Urteil um der Tat willen haben, es sei zum Tod oder in die Acht oder zur Buße am Gut oder ins Gefängnis.(D) Ezr 7:26 καὶ πᾶς ὃς ἂν μὴ ᾖ ποιῶν νόμον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ νόμον τοῦ βασιλέως ἑτοίμως τὸ κρίμα ἔσται γιγνόμενον ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἐάν τε εἰς θάνατον ἐάν τε εἰς παιδείαν ἐάν τε εἰς ζημίαν τοῦ βίου ἐάν τε εἰς δεσμά(lxx) Ezr 7:26 Whoever will not observe the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily on him, whether it be death, or banishment, or confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:27 ============ Ezr 7:27 Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to adorn the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem,(nasb) Ezr 7:27 Benedictus Dominus Deus patrum nostrorum, qui dedit hoc in corde regis ut glorificaret domum Domini quæ est in Jerusalem,(vulgate) Esdras 7:27 Bendito Jehová, Dios de nuestros padres, que puso tal cosa en el corazón del rey, para honrar la casa de Jehová que está en Jerusalén,(E) Esdras 7:27 Béni soit l'Eternel, le Dieu de nos pères, qui a disposé le coeur du roi à glorifier ainsi la maison de l'Eternel à Jérusalem,(F) Ezr 7:27 Gelobt sei der HERR, unsrer Väter Gott, der solches hat dem König eingegeben, daß er das Haus des HERRN zu Jerusalem ziere,(D) Ezr 7:27 εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ὃς ἔδωκεν οὕτως ἐν καρδίᾳ τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ δοξάσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Ezr 7:27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem,(nkjv) ======= Ezra 7:28 ============ Ezr 7:28 and has extended lovingkindness to me before the king and his counselors and before all the king's mighty princes. Thus I was strengthened according to the hand of the Lord my God upon me, and I gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me.(nasb) Ezr 7:28 et in me inclinavit misericordiam suam coram rege et consiliatoribus ejus, et universis principibus regis potentibus: et ego confortatus manu Domini Dei mei, quæ erat in me, congregavi de Israël principes qui ascenderent mecum.(vulgate) Esdras 7:28 e inclinó hacia mí su misericordia delante del rey y de sus consejeros, y de todos los príncipes poderosos del rey. Y yo, fortalecido según la mano de Jehová mi Dios sobre mí, reuní a los principales de Israel para que subiesen conmigo.(E) Esdras 7:28 et qui m'a rendu l'objet de la bienveillance du roi, de ses conseillers, et de tous ses puissants chefs! Fortifié par la main de l'Eternel, mon Dieu, qui était sur moi, j'ai rassemblé les chefs d'Israël, afin qu'ils partissent avec moi.(F) Ezr 7:28 und hat zu mir Barmherzigkeit geneigt vor dem König und seinen Ratsherren und allen Gewaltigen des Königs! Und ich ward getrost nach der Hand des HERRN, meines Gottes, über mir und versammelte Häupter aus Israel, daß sie mit mir hinaufzögen.(D) Ezr 7:28 καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἔκλινεν ἔλεος ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῶν συμβούλων αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντων τῶν ἀρχόντων τοῦ βασιλέως τῶν ἐπηρμένων καὶ ἐγὼ ἐκραταιώθην ὡς χεὶρ θεοῦ ἡ ἀγαθὴ ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ καὶ συνῆξα ἀπὸ Ισραηλ ἄρχοντας ἀναβῆναι μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ(lxx) Ezr 7:28 and has extended mercy to me before the king and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes.So I was encouraged, as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me; and I gathered leading men of Israel to go up with me.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 8:1 ============ top of the page
