Et factum est in mense Casleu, anno vigesimo, et ego eram in Susis castro.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:1 Palabras de Nehemías, hijo de Hacalías. Aconteció en el mes de Quisleu, en el año veinte, estando yo en Susán, capital del reino,(E) Néhémie 1:1 Paroles de Néhémie, fils de Hacalia. Au mois de Kisleu, la vingtième année, comme j'étais à Suse, dans la capitale,(F) Neh 1:1 Dies sind die Geschichten Neh mias, des Sohnes Hachaljas. Es geschah im Monat Chislev des zwanzigsten Jahres, da ich war zu Susan auf dem Schloß,(D) Neh 1:1 λόγοι Νεεμια υἱοῦ Αχαλια καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν μηνὶ Χασεηλου ἔτους εἰκοστοῦ καὶ ἐγὼ ἤμην ἐν Σουσαν αβιρα(lxx) Neh 1:1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. It came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the citadel,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:2 ============ Neh 1:2 that Hanani, one of my brothers, and some men from Judah came; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped and had survived the captivity, and about Jerusalem.(nasb) Neh 1:2 Et venit Hanani, unus de fratribus meis, ipse et viri ex Juda: et interrogavi eos de Judæis qui remanserant, et supererant de captivitate, et Jerusalem.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:2 que vino Hanani, uno de mis hermanos, él y ciertos varones de Judá, y les pregunté por los judíos que habían escapado, que habían quedado de la cautividad, y por Jerusalén.(E) Néhémie 1:2 Hanani, l'un de mes frères, et quelques hommes arrivèrent de Juda. Je les questionnai au sujet des Juifs réchappés qui étaient restés de la captivité, et au sujet de Jérusalem.(F) Neh 1:2 da kam Hanani, einer meiner Brüder, mit etlichen Männern aus Juda. Und ich fragte sie, wie es den Juden ginge, die errettet und übrig waren von der Gefangenschaft, und wie es zu Jerusalem ginge.(D) Neh 1:2 καὶ ἦλθεν Ανανι εἷς ἀπὸ ἀδελφῶν μου αὐτὸς καὶ ἄνδρες Ιουδα καὶ ἠρώτησα αὐτοὺς περὶ τῶν σωθέντων οἳ κατελείφθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας καὶ περὶ Ιερουσαλημ(lxx) Neh 1:2 that Hanani one of my brethren came with men from Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who had survived the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:3 ============ Neh 1:3 They said to me, "The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire."(nasb) Neh 1:3 Et dixerunt mihi: Qui remanserunt, et relicti sunt de captivitate ibi in provincia, in afflictione magna sunt, et in opprobrio: et murus Jerusalem dissipatus est, et portæ ejus combustæ sunt igni.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:3 Y me dijeron: El remanente, los que quedaron de la cautividad allí en la provincia, están en gran mal y afrenta, y el muro de Jerusalén derribado, y sus puertas quemadas a fuego.(E) Néhémie 1:3 Ils me répondirent: Ceux qui sont restés de la captivité sont là dans la province, au comble du malheur et de l'opprobre; les murailles de Jérusalem sont en ruines, et ses portes sont consumées par le feu.(F) Neh 1:3 Und sie sprachen zu mir: Die übrigen von der Gefangenschaft sind daselbst im Lande in großem Unglück und Schmach; die Mauern Jerusalems sind zerbrochen und seine Tore mit Feuer verbrannt.(D) Neh 1:3 καὶ εἴποσαν πρός με οἱ καταλειπόμενοι οἱ καταλειφθέντες ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας ἐκεῖ ἐν τῇ χώρᾳ ἐν πονηρίᾳ μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν ὀνειδισμῷ καὶ τείχη Ιερουσαλημ καθῃρημένα καὶ αἱ πύλαι αὐτῆς ἐνεπρήσθησαν ἐν πυρί(lxx) Neh 1:3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire."(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:4 ============ Neh 1:4 When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.(nasb) Neh 1:4 Cumque audissem verba hujuscemodi, sedi, et flevi, et luxi diebus multis: jejunabam, et orabam ante faciem Dei cæli:(vulgate) Nehemías 1:4 Y sucedió que, cuando yo oí estas palabras, me senté y lloré, e hice duelo por algunos días, y ayuné y oré delante del Dios del cielo.(E) Néhémie 1:4 Lorsque j'entendis ces choses, je m'assis, je pleurai, et je fus plusieurs jours dans la désolation. Je jeûnai et je priai devant le Dieu des cieux,(F) Neh 1:4 Da ich aber solche Worte hörte, saß ich und weinte und trug Leid etliche Tage und fastete und betete vor dem Gott des Himmels(D) Neh 1:4 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἀκοῦσαί με τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐκάθισα καὶ ἔκλαυσα καὶ ἐπένθησα ἡμέρας καὶ ἤμην νηστεύων καὶ προσευχόμενος ἐνώπιον θεοῦ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ(lxx) Neh 1:4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:5 ============ Neh 1:5 I said, "I beseech You, O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who preserves the covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,(nasb) Neh 1:5 et dixi: Quæso, Domine Deus cæli fortis, magne atque terribilis, qui custodis pactum et misericordiam cum his qui te diligunt, et custodiunt mandata tua:(vulgate) Nehemías 1:5 Y dije: Te ruego, oh Jehová, Dios del cielo, Dios grande y terrible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia a los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos;(E) Néhémie 1:5 et je dis: O Eternel, Dieu des cieux, Dieu grand et redoutable, toi qui gardes ton alliance et qui fais miséricorde à ceux qui t'aiment et qui observent tes commandements!(F) Neh 1:5 und sprach: Ach HERR, Gott des Himmels, großer und schrecklicher Gott, der da hält den Bund und die Barmherzigkeit denen, die ihn lieben und seine Gebote halten,(D) Neh 1:5 καὶ εἶπα μὴ δή κύριε ὁ θεὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ὁ ἰσχυρὸς ὁ μέγας καὶ ὁ φοβερός φυλάσσων τὴν διαθήκην καὶ τὸ ἔλεος τοῖς ἀγαπῶσιν αὐτὸν καὶ τοῖς φυλάσσουσιν τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ(lxx) Neh 1:5 And I said: "I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments,(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:6 ============ Neh 1:6 let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; I and my father's house have sinned.(nasb) Neh 1:6 fiant aures tuæ auscultantes, et oculi tui aperti, ut audias orationem servi tui, quam ego oro coram te hodie nocte et die pro filiis Israël servis tuis: et confiteor pro peccatis filiorum Israël, quibus peccaverunt tibi: ego et domus patris mei peccavimus,(vulgate) Nehemías 1:6 Esté ahora atento tu oído, y tus ojos abiertos, para oír la oración de tu siervo, que yo hago ahora delante de ti día y noche, por los hijos de Israel tus siervos; y confieso los pecados de los hijos de Israel que hemos contra ti cometido; sí, yo y la casa de mi padre hemos pecado.(E) Néhémie 1:6 Que ton oreille soit attentive et que tes yeux soient ouverts: écoute la prière que ton serviteur t'adresse en ce moment, jour et nuit, pour tes serviteurs les enfants d'Israël, en confessant les péchés des enfants d'Israël, nos péchés contre toi; car moi et la maison de mon père, nous avons péché.(F) Neh 1:6 laß doch deine Ohren aufmerken und deine Augen offen sein, daß du hörst das Gebet deines Knechtes, das ich nun vor dir bete Tag und Nacht für die Kinder Israel, deine Knechte, und bekenne die Sünden der Kinder Israel, die wir an dir getan haben; und ich und meines Vaters Haus haben auch gesündigt.(D) Neh 1:6 ἔστω δὴ τὸ οὖς σου προσέχον καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ἀνεῳγμένοι τοῦ ἀκοῦσαι προσευχὴν δούλου σου ἣν ἐγὼ προσεύχομαι ἐνώπιόν σου σήμερον ἡμέραν καὶ νύκτα περὶ υἱῶν Ισραηλ δούλων σου καὶ ἐξαγορεύω ἐπὶ ἁμαρτίαις υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἃς ἡμάρτομέν σοι καὶ ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ οἶκος πατρός μου ἡμάρτομεν(lxx) Neh 1:6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father's house and I have sinned.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:7 ============ Neh 1:7 We have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.(nasb) Neh 1:7 vanitate seducti sumus, et non custodivimus mandatum tuum, et cæremonias, et judicia quæ præcepisti Moysi famulo tuo.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:7 En extremo nos hemos corrompido contra ti, y no hemos guardado los mandamientos, y estatutos y juicios, que mandaste a Moisés tu siervo.(E) Néhémie 1:7 Nous t'avons offensé, et nous n'avons point observé les commandements, les lois et les ordonnances que tu prescrivis à Moïse, ton serviteur.(F) Neh 1:7 Wir haben an dir mißgehandelt, daß wir nicht gehalten haben die Gebote, Befehle und Rechte, die du geboten hast deinem Knecht Mose.(D) Neh 1:7 διαλύσει διελύσαμεν πρὸς σὲ καὶ οὐκ ἐφυλάξαμεν τὰς ἐντολὰς καὶ τὰ προστάγματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ἃ ἐνετείλω τῷ Μωυσῇ παιδί σου(lxx) Neh 1:7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:8 ============ Neh 1:8 Remember the word which You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful I will scatter you among the peoples;(nasb) Neh 1:8 Memento verbi quod mandasti Moysi servo tuo, dicens: Cum transgressi fueritis, ego dispergam vos in populos:(vulgate) Nehemías 1:8 Acuérdate ahora de la palabra que ordenaste a Moisés tu siervo, diciendo: Vosotros prevaricaréis, y yo os esparciré por los pueblos:(E) Néhémie 1:8 Souviens-toi de cette parole que tu donnas ordre à Moïse, ton serviteur, de prononcer. Lorsque vous pécherez, je vous disperserai parmi les peuples;(F) Neh 1:8 Gedenke aber doch des Wortes, das du deinem Knecht Mose gebotest und sprachst: Wenn ihr euch versündigt, so will ich euch unter die Völker streuen.(D) Neh 1:8 μνήσθητι δὴ τὸν λόγον ὃν ἐνετείλω τῷ Μωυσῇ παιδί σου λέγων ὑμεῖς ἐὰν ἀσυνθετήσητε ἐγὼ διασκορπιῶ ὑμᾶς ἐν τοῖς λαοῖς(lxx) Neh 1:8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:9 ============ Neh 1:9 but if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them, though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote part of the heavens, I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place where I have chosen to cause My name to dwell.'(nasb) Neh 1:9 et si revertamini ad me, et custodiatis præcepta mea, et faciatis ea: etiamsi abducti fueritis ad extrema cæli, inde congregabo vos, et reducam in locum quem elegi ut habitaret nomen meum ibi.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:9 Pero si os volviereis a mí, y guardareis mis mandamientos y los pusiereis por obra, aunque vuestros desterrados estén hasta el extremo de los cielos, de allí os reuniré; y los traeré al lugar que escogí para hacer habitar allí mi nombre.(E) Néhémie 1:9 mais si vous revenez à moi, et si vous observez mes commandements et les mettez en pratique, alors, quand vous seriez exilés à l'extrémité du ciel, de là je vous rassemblerai et je vous ramènerai dans le lieu que j'ai choisi pour y faire résider mon nom.(F) Neh 1:9 Wo ihr euch aber bekehrt zu mir und haltet meine Gebote und tut sie, und ob ihr verstoßen wäret bis an der Himmel Ende, so will ich euch doch von da versammeln und will euch bringen an den Ort, den ich erwählt habe, daß mein Name daselbst wohne.(D) Neh 1:9 καὶ ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψητε πρός με καὶ φυλάξητε τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ ποιήσητε αὐτάς ἐὰν ᾖ ἡ διασπορὰ ὑμῶν ἀπ᾽ ἄκρου τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐκεῖθεν συνάξω αὐτοὺς καὶ εἰσάξω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἐξελεξάμην κατασκηνῶσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ(lxx) Neh 1:9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.'(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:10 ============ Neh 1:10 They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.(nasb) Neh 1:10 Et ipsi servi tui, et populus tuus, quos redemisti in fortitudine tua magna, et in manu tua valida.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:10 Ellos, pues, son tus siervos y tu pueblo, los cuales redimiste con tu gran fortaleza, y con tu mano fuerte.(E) Néhémie 1:10 Ils sont tes serviteurs et ton peuple, que tu as rachetés par ta grande puissance et par ta main forte.(F) Neh 1:10 Sie sind ja doch deine Knechte und dein Volk, die du erlöst hast durch deine große Kraft und mächtige Hand.(D) Neh 1:10 καὶ αὐτοὶ παῖδές σου καὶ λαός σου οὓς ἐλυτρώσω ἐν δυνάμει σου τῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρί σου τῇ κραταιᾷ(lxx) Neh 1:10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.(nkjv) ======= Nehemiah 1:11 ============ Neh 1:11 O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man." Now I was the cupbearer to the king.(nasb) Neh 1:11 Obsecro, Domine, sit auris tua attendens ad orationem servi tui, et ad orationem servorum tuorum, qui volunt timere nomen tuum: et dirige servum tuum hodie, et da ei misericordiam ante virum hunc. Ego enim eram pincerna regis.(vulgate) Nehemías 1:11 Te ruego, oh Señor, esté ahora atento tu oído a la oración de tu siervo y a la oración de tus siervos, quienes desean temer tu nombre. Prospera a tu siervo hoy, y concédele hallar misericordia delante de aquel varón. Porque yo servía de copero al rey.(E) Néhémie 1:11 Ah! Seigneur, que ton oreille soit attentive à la prière de ton serviteur, et à la prière de tes serviteurs qui veulent craindre ton nom! Donne aujourd'hui du succès à ton serviteur, et fais-lui trouver grâce devant cet homme! J'étais alors échanson du roi.(F) Neh 1:11 Ach HERR, laß deine Ohren aufmerken auf das Gebet deines Knechtes und auf das Gebet deiner Knechte, die da begehren deinen Namen zu fürchten; und laß es deinem Knecht heute gelingen und gib ihm Barmherzigkeit vor diesem Manne! Denn ich war des Königs Schenke.(D) Neh 1:11 μὴ δή κύριε ἀλλ᾽ ἔστω τὸ οὖς σου προσέχον εἰς τὴν προσευχὴν τοῦ δούλου σου καὶ εἰς τὴν προσευχὴν παίδων σου τῶν θελόντων φοβεῖσθαι τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ εὐόδωσον δὴ τῷ παιδί σου σήμερον καὶ δὸς αὐτὸν εἰς οἰκτιρμοὺς ἐνώπιον τοῦ ἀνδρὸς τούτου καὶ ἐγὼ ἤμην οἰνοχόος τῷ βασιλεῖ(lxx) Neh 1:11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man."
