When shall I come and appear before God?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:3 ============ Psa 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"(nasb) Psa 42:3 [vulgate 41:4] fuerunt mihi lacrimae meae panis per diem ac noctem cum diceretur mihi tota die ubi est Deus tuus(vulgate) Salmos 42:3 Fueron mis lágrimas mi pan de día y de noche, mientras me dicen todos los días: ¿Dónde está tu Dios?(E) Psaume 42:3 Mes larmes sont ma nourriture jour et nuit, Pendant qu'on me dit sans cesse: Où est ton Dieu?(F) Psa 42:3 Meine Tränen sind meine Speise Tag und Nacht, weil man täglich zu mir sagt: Wo ist nun dein Gott?(D) Psa 42:3 ἐδίψησεν ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς τὸν θεὸν τὸν ζῶντα πότε ἥξω καὶ ὀφθήσομαι τῷ προσώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ(lxx) Psa 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, "Where is your God?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:4 ============ Psa 42:4 These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.(nasb) Psa 42:4 [vulgate 41:5] horum recordatus sum et effudi in me animam meam quia veniam ad umbraculum tacebo usque ad domum Dei in voce laudis et confessionis multitudinis festa celebrantis(vulgate) Salmos 42:4 Me acuerdo de estas cosas, y derramo mi alma dentro de mí: Porque yo fui con la multitud, fui con ellos a la casa de Dios, con voz de alegría y de alabanza, haciendo fiesta la multitud.(E) Psaume 42:4 Je me rappelle avec effusion de coeur Quand je marchais entouré de la foule, Et que je m'avançais à sa tête vers la maison de Dieu, Au milieu des cris de joie et des actions de grâces D'une multitude en fête.(F) Psa 42:4 Wenn ich des innewerde, so schütte ich mein Herz aus bei mir selbst; denn ich wollte gerne hingehen mit dem Haufen und mit ihnen wallen zum Hause Gottes mit Frohlocken und Danken unter dem Haufen derer, die da feiern.(D) Psa 42:4 ἐγενήθη μοι τὰ δάκρυά μου ἄρτος ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαί μοι καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεός σου(lxx) Psa 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:5 ============ Psa 42:5 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.(nasb) Psa 42:5 [vulgate 41:6] quare incurvaris anima mea et conturbas me expecta Dominum quia adhuc confitebor ei salutaribus vultus eius(vulgate) Salmos 42:5 ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, y te turbas dentro de mí? Espera en Dios; porque aún he de alabarle por la ayuda de su presencia.(E) Psaume 42:5 Pourquoi t'abats-tu, mon âme, et gémis-tu au dedans de moi? Espère en Dieu, car je le louerai encore; Il est mon salut et mon Dieu.(F) Psa 42:5 Was betrübst du dich, meine Seele, und bist so unruhig in mir? Harre auf Gott! denn ich werde ihm noch danken, daß er mir hilft mit seinem Angesicht.(D) Psa 42:5 ταῦτα ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἐξέχεα ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν ψυχήν μου ὅτι διελεύσομαι ἐν τόπῳ σκηνῆς θαυμαστῆς ἕως τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν φωνῇ ἀγαλλιάσεως καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως ἤχου ἑορτάζοντος(lxx) Psa 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:6 ============ Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Jordan And the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.(nasb) Psa 42:6 [vulgate 41:7] Deus meus in memet ipso anima mea incurvatur propterea recordabor tui de terra Iordanis et Hermoniim de monte minimo(vulgate) Salmos 42:6 Dios mío, mi alma está abatida dentro de mí; me acordaré por tanto de ti desde la tierra del Jordán, y de los hermonitas, desde el monte de Mizar.(E) Psaume 42:6 Mon âme est abattue au dedans de moi: Aussi c'est à toi que je pense, depuis le pays du Jourdain, Depuis l'Hermon, depuis la montagne de Mitsear.(F) Psa 42:6 Mein Gott, betrübt ist meine Seele in mir; darum gedenke ich an dich im Lande am Jordan und Hermonim, auf dem kleinen Berg.(D) Psa 42:6 ἵνα τί περίλυπος εἶ ψυχή καὶ ἵνα τί συνταράσσεις με ἔλπισον ἐπὶ τὸν θεόν ὅτι ἐξομολογήσομαι αὐτῷ σωτήριον τοῦ προσώπου μου ὁ θεός μου(lxx) Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon, From the Hill Mizar.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:7 ============ Psa 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.(nasb) Psa 42:7 [vulgate 41:8] abyssus abyssum vocat in voce cataractarum tuarum omnes gurgites tui et fluctus tui super me transierunt(vulgate) Salmos 42:7 Un abismo llama a otro a la voz de tus cascadas; todas tus ondas y tus olas han pasado sobre mí.(E) Psaume 42:7 Un flot appelle un autre flot au bruit de tes ondées; Toutes tes vagues et tous tes flots passent sur moi.(F) Psa 42:7 Deine Fluten rauschen daher, daß hier eine Tiefe und da eine Tiefe brausen; alle deine Wasserwogen und Wellen gehen über mich.(D) Psa 42:7 πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐταράχθη διὰ τοῦτο μνησθήσομαί σου ἐκ γῆς Ιορδάνου καὶ Ερμωνιιμ ἀπὸ ὄρους μικροῦ(lxx) Psa 42:7 Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:8 ============ Psa 42:8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.(nasb) Psa 42:8 [vulgate 41:9] per diem mandavit Dominus misericordiam suam et in nocte canticum eius mecum oratio Deo vitae meae(vulgate) Salmos 42:8 De día mandará Jehová su misericordia, y de noche su canción [será] conmigo, y mi oración al Dios de mi vida.(E) Psaume 42:8 Le jour, l'Eternel m'accordait sa grâce; La nuit, je chantais ses louanges, J'adressais une prière au Dieu de ma vie.(F) Psa 42:8 Der HERR hat des Tages verheißen seine Güte, und des Nachts singe ich ihm und bete zu dem Gott meines Lebens.(D) Psa 42:8 ἄβυσσος ἄβυσσον ἐπικαλεῖται εἰς φωνὴν τῶν καταρρακτῶν σου πάντες οἱ μετεωρισμοί σου καὶ τὰ κύματά σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ διῆλθον(lxx) Psa 42:8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me-- A prayer to the God of my life.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:9 ============ Psa 42:9 I will say to God my rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"(nasb) Psa 42:9 [vulgate 41:10] dicam Deo petra mea quare oblitus es mei quare tristis incedo adfligente inimico(vulgate) Salmos 42:9 Diré a Dios: Roca mía, ¿por qué te has olvidado de mí? ¿Por qué andaré yo enlutado por la opresión del enemigo,(E) Psaume 42:9 Je dis à Dieu, mon rocher: Pourquoi m'oublies-tu? Pourquoi dois-je marcher dans la tristesse, Sous l'oppression de l'ennemi?(F) Psa 42:9 Ich sage zu Gott, meinem Fels: Warum hast du mein vergessen? Warum muß ich so traurig gehen, wenn mein Feind mich drängt?(D) Psa 42:9 ἡμέρας ἐντελεῖται κύριος τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ καὶ νυκτὸς ᾠδὴ παρ᾽ ἐμοί προσευχὴ τῷ θεῷ τῆς ζωῆς μου(lxx) Psa 42:9 I will say to God my Rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:10 ============ Psa 42:10 As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries revile me, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"(nasb) Psa 42:10 [vulgate 41:11] cum me interficerent in ossibus meis exprobraverunt mihi hostes mei dicentes tota die ubi est Deus tuus(vulgate) Salmos 42:10 como con una espada en mis huesos? Mis enemigos me afrentan, diciéndome cada día: ¿Dónde está tu Dios?(E) Psaume 42:10 Mes os se brisent quand mes persécuteurs m'outragent, En me disant sans cesse: Où est ton Dieu?(F) Psa 42:10 Es ist als ein Mord in meinen Gebeinen, daß mich meine Feinde schmähen, wenn sie täglich zu mir sagen: Wo ist nun dein Gott?(D) Psa 42:10 ἐρῶ τῷ θεῷ ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ διὰ τί μου ἐπελάθου ἵνα τί σκυθρωπάζων πορεύομαι ἐν τῷ ἐκθλίβειν τὸν ἐχθρόν μου(lxx) Psa 42:10 As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"(nkjv) ======= Psalm 42:11 ============ Psa 42:11 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.(nasb) Psa 42:11 [vulgate 41:12] quare incurvaris anima mea et conturbas me expecta Dominum quoniam adhuc confitebor ei salutibus vultus mei et Deo meo(vulgate) Salmos 42:11 ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, y por qué te turbas dentro de mí?
