Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 19:1 ============ Isa 19:1 The oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; The idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, And the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.(nasb) Isa 19:1 Onus Ægypti. [Ecce Dominus ascendet super nubem levem, et ingredietur Ægyptum, et commovebuntur simulacra Ægypti a facie ejus, et cor Ægypti tabescet in medio ejus,(vulgate) Isaías 19:1 Carga de Egipto. He aquí, Jehová cabalga sobre una nube veloz, y entrará en Egipto. Los ídolos de Egipto se estremecerán ante su presencia, y el corazón de los egipcios desfallecerá dentro de ellos.(E) Ésaïe 19:1 Oracle sur l'Egypte. Voici, l'Eternel est monté sur une nuée rapide, il vient en Egypte; Et les idoles de l'Egypte tremblent devant lui, Et le coeur des Egyptiens tombe en défaillance.(F) Isa 19:1 Dies ist die Last über Ägypten: Siehe, der HERR wird auf einer schnellen Wolke fahren und über Ägypten kommen. Da werden die Götzen in Ägypten vor ihm beben, und den Ägyptern wird das Herz feige werden in ihrem Leibe.(D) Isa 19:1 ὅρασις Αἰγύπτου ἰδοὺ κύριος κάθηται ἐπὶ νεφέλης κούφης καὶ ἥξει εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ σεισθήσεται τὰ χειροποίητα Αἰγύπτου ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν ἡττηθήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς(lxx) Isa 19:1 The burden against Egypt. Behold, the Lord rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:2 ============ Isa 19:2 "So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians; And they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, City against city and kingdom against kingdom.(nasb) Isa 19:2 et concurrere faciam Ægyptios adversus Ægyptios; et pugnabit vir contra fratrem suum, et vir contra amicum suum, civitas adversus civitatem, regnum adversus regnum.(vulgate) Isaías 19:2 Y levantaré egipcios contra egipcios, y cada uno peleará contra su hermano, cada uno contra su prójimo; ciudad contra ciudad, [y] reino contra reino.(E) Ésaïe 19:2 J'armerai l'Egyptien contre l'Egyptien, Et l'on se battra frère contre frère, ami contre ami, Ville contre ville, royaume contre royaume.(F) Isa 19:2 Und ich will die Ägypter aneinander hetzen, daß ein Bruder gegen den andern, ein Freund gegen den andern, eine Stadt gegen die andere, ein Reich gegen das andere streiten wird.(D) Isa 19:2 καὶ ἐπεγερθήσονται Αἰγύπτιοι ἐπ᾽ Αἰγυπτίους καὶ πολεμήσει ἄνθρωπος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἄνθρωπος τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ πόλις ἐπὶ πόλιν καὶ νομὸς ἐπὶ νομόν(lxx) Isa 19:2 "I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:3 ============ Isa 19:3 "Then the spirit of the Egyptians will be demoralized within them; And I will confound their strategy, So that they will resort to idols and ghosts of the dead And to mediums and spiritists.(nasb) Isa 19:3 Et dirumpetur spiritus Ægypti in visceribus ejus, et consilium ejus præcipitabo; et interrogabunt simulacra sua, et divinos suos, et pythones, et ariolos.(vulgate) Isaías 19:3 Y el espíritu de Egipto se desvanecerá en medio de él, y destruiré su consejo; y preguntarán a las imágenes, a los encantadores, a los evocadores y a los adivinos.(E) Ésaïe 19:3 L'esprit de l'Egypte disparaîtra du milieu d'elle, Et j'anéantirai son conseil; On consultera les idoles et les enchanteurs, Ceux qui évoquent les morts et ceux qui prédisent l'avenir.(F) Isa 19:3 Und der Mut soll den Ägyptern in ihrem Herzen vergehen, und ich will ihre Anschläge zunichte machen. Da werden sie dann fragen ihre Götzen und Pfaffen und Wahrsager und Zeichendeuter.(D) Isa 19:3 καὶ ταραχθήσεται τὸ πνεῦμα τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὴν βουλὴν αὐτῶν διασκεδάσω καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἀγάλματα αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς ἐκ τῆς γῆς φωνοῦντας καὶ τοὺς ἐγγαστριμύθους(lxx) Isa 19:3 The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:4 ============ Isa 19:4 "Moreover, I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel master, And a mighty king will rule over them," declares the Lord God of hosts.(nasb) Isa 19:4 Et tradam Ægyptum in manu dominorum crudelium, et rex fortis dominabitur eorum, ait Dominus Deus exercituum.(vulgate) Isaías 19:4 Y entregaré a Egipto en manos de un señor cruel; y un rey violento se enseñoreará de ellos, dice el Señor, Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Ésaïe 19:4 Et je livrerai l'Egypte entre les mains d'un maître sévère; Un roi cruel dominera sur eux, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées.(F) Isa 19:4 Aber ich will die Ägypter übergeben in die Hände grausamer Herren, und ein harter König soll über sie herrschen, spricht der Herrscher, der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Isa 19:4 καὶ παραδώσω Αἴγυπτον εἰς χεῖρας ἀνθρώπων κυρίων σκληρῶν καὶ βασιλεῖς σκληροὶ κυριεύσουσιν αὐτῶν τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ(lxx) Isa 19:4 And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master, And a fierce king will rule over them," Says the Lord, the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:5 ============ Isa 19:5 The waters from the sea will dry up, And the river will be parched and dry.(nasb) Isa 19:5 Et arescet aqua de mari, et fluvius desolabitur atque siccabitur.(vulgate) Isaías 19:5 Y las aguas del mar faltarán, y el río se agotará y secará.(E) Ésaïe 19:5 Les eaux de la mer tariront, Le fleuve deviendra sec et aride;(F) Isa 19:5 Und das Wasser in den Seen wird vertrocknen; dazu der Strom wird versiegen und verschwinden.(D) Isa 19:5 καὶ πίονται οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὕδωρ τὸ παρὰ θάλασσαν ὁ δὲ ποταμὸς ἐκλείψει καὶ ξηρανθήσεται(lxx) Isa 19:5 The waters will fail from the sea, And the river will be wasted and dried up.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:6 ============ Isa 19:6 The canals will emit a stench, The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up; The reeds and rushes will rot away.(nasb) Isa 19:6 Et deficient flumina, attenuabuntur et siccabuntur rivi aggerum, calamus et juncus marcescet.(vulgate) Isaías 19:6 Y se alejarán los ríos, se agotarán y secarán las corrientes de los fosos; la caña y el carrizo se marchitarán.(E) Ésaïe 19:6 Les rivières seront infectes, Les canaux de l'Egypte seront bas et desséchés, Les joncs et les roseaux se flétriront.(F) Isa 19:6 Und die Wasser werden verlaufen, daß die Flüsse Ägyptens werden gering und trocken werden, daß Rohr und Schilf verwelken,(D) Isa 19:6 καὶ ἐκλείψουσιν οἱ ποταμοὶ καὶ αἱ διώρυγες τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ξηρανθήσεται πᾶσα συναγωγὴ ὕδατος καὶ ἐν παντὶ ἕλει καλάμου καὶ παπύρου(lxx) Isa 19:6 The rivers will turn foul; The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up; The reeds and rushes will wither.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:7 ============ Isa 19:7 The bulrushes by the Nile, by the edge of the Nile And all the sown fields by the Nile Will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.(nasb) Isa 19:7 Nudabitur alveus rivi a fonte suo, et omnis sementis irrigua siccabitur, arescet, et non erit.(vulgate) Isaías 19:7 Las cañas de junto al río, de junto a la ribera del río, y todas las cosas sembradas junto al río se secarán, se perderán, y no serán [más].(E) Ésaïe 19:7 Ce ne sera que nudité le long du fleuve, à l'embouchure du fleuve; Tout ce qui aura été semé près du fleuve se desséchera, Se réduira en poussière et périra.(F) Isa 19:7 und das Gras an den Wassern wird verstieben, und alle Saat am Wasser wird verdorren und zunichte werden.(D) Isa 19:7 καὶ τὸ ἄχι τὸ χλωρὸν πᾶν τὸ κύκλῳ τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ πᾶν τὸ σπειρόμενον διὰ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ξηρανθήσεται ἀνεμόφθορον(lxx) Isa 19:7 The papyrus reeds by the River, by the mouth of the River, And everything sown by the River, Will wither, be driven away, and be no more.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:8 ============ Isa 19:8 And the fishermen will lament, And all those who cast a line into the Nile will mourn, And those who spread nets on the waters will pine away.(nasb) Isa 19:8 Et mœrebunt piscatores, et lugebunt omnes mittentes in flumen hamum; et expandentes rete super faciem aquarum emarcescent.(vulgate) Isaías 19:8 Los pescadores también se entristecerán; y harán duelo todos los que echan anzuelo en el río, y desfallecerán los que extienden red sobre las aguas.(E) Ésaïe 19:8 Les pêcheurs gémiront, Tous ceux qui jettent l'hameçon dans le fleuve se lamenteront, Et ceux qui étendent des filets sur les eaux seront désolés.(F) Isa 19:8 Und die Fischer werden trauern; und alle die, so Angeln ins Wasser werfen, werden klagen; und die, so Netze auswerfen aufs Wasser, werden betrübt sein.(D) Isa 19:8 καὶ στενάξουσιν οἱ ἁλεεῖς καὶ στενάξουσιν πάντες οἱ βάλλοντες ἄγκιστρον εἰς τὸν ποταμόν καὶ οἱ βάλλοντες σαγήνας καὶ οἱ ἀμφιβολεῖς πενθήσουσιν(lxx) Isa 19:8 The fishermen also will mourn; All those will lament who cast hooks into the River, And they will languish who spread nets on the waters.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:9 ============ Isa 19:9 Moreover, the manufacturers of linen made from combed flax And the weavers of white cloth will be utterly dejected.(nasb) Isa 19:9 Confundentur qui operabantur linum, pectentes et texentes subtilia.(vulgate) Isaías 19:9 Los que labran lino fino, y los que tejen redes serán confundidos;(E) Ésaïe 19:9 Ceux qui travaillent le lin peigné Et qui tissent des étoffes blanches seront confus.(F) Isa 19:9 Es werden mit Schanden bestehen, die da gute Garne wirken und Netze stricken.(D) Isa 19:9 καὶ αἰσχύνη λήμψεται τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὸ λίνον τὸ σχιστὸν καὶ τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν βύσσον(lxx) Isa 19:9 Moreover those who work in fine flax And those who weave fine fabric will be ashamed;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:10 ============ Isa 19:10 And the pillars of Egypt will be crushed; All the hired laborers will be grieved in soul.(nasb) Isa 19:10 Et erunt irrigua ejus flaccentia: omnes qui faciebant lacunas ad capiendos pisces.(vulgate) Isaías 19:10 porque todas sus redes serán rotas: y se entristecerán todos los que hacen viveros para peces.(E) Ésaïe 19:10 Les soutiens du pays seront dans l'abattement, Tous les mercenaires auront l'âme attristée.(F) Isa 19:10 Und des Landes Pfeiler werden zerschlagen; und alle, die um Lohn arbeiten, werden bekümmert sein.(D) Isa 19:10 καὶ ἔσονται οἱ διαζόμενοι αὐτὰ ἐν ὀδύνῃ καὶ πάντες οἱ τὸν ζῦθον ποιοῦντες λυπηθήσονται καὶ τὰς ψυχὰς πονέσουσιν(lxx) Isa 19:10 And its foundations will be broken. All who make wages will be troubled of soul.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:11 ============ Isa 19:11 The princes of Zoan are mere fools; The advice of Pharaoh's wisest advisers has become stupid. How can you men say to Pharaoh, "I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings"?(nasb) Isa 19:11 Stulti principes Taneos, sapientes consiliarii Pharaonis dederunt consilium insipiens. Quomodo dicetis Pharaoni: Filius sapientium ego, filius regum antiquorum?(vulgate) Isaías 19:11 Ciertamente [son] necios los príncipes de Zoán; el consejo de los prudentes consejeros de Faraón, se ha desvanecido. ¿Cómo diréis a Faraón: Yo soy hijo de los sabios, e hijo de los reyes antiguos?(E) Ésaïe 19:11 Les princes de Tsoan ne sont que des insensés, Les sages conseillers de Pharaon forment un conseil stupide. Comment osez-vous dire à Pharaon: Je suis fils des sages, fils des anciens rois?(F) Isa 19:11 Die Fürsten zu Zoan sind Toren; die weisen Räte Pharaos sind im Rat zu Narren geworden. Was sagt ihr doch zu Pharao: Ich bin der Weisen Kind und komme von alten Königen her?(D) Isa 19:11 καὶ μωροὶ ἔσονται οἱ ἄρχοντες Τάνεως οἱ σοφοὶ σύμβουλοι τοῦ βασιλέως ἡ βουλὴ αὐτῶν μωρανθήσεται πῶς ἐρεῖτε τῷ βασιλεῖ υἱοὶ συνετῶν ἡμεῖς υἱοὶ βασιλέων τῶν ἐξ ἀρχῆς(lxx) Isa 19:11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools; Pharaoh's wise counselors give foolish counsel. How do you say to Pharaoh, "I am the son of the wise, The son of ancient kings?"(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:12 ============ Isa 19:12 Well then, where are your wise men? Please let them tell you, And let them understand what the Lord of hosts Has purposed against Egypt.(nasb) Isa 19:12 Ubi nunc sunt sapientes tui? annuntient tibi, et indicent quid cogitaverit Dominus exercituum super Ægyptum.(vulgate) Isaías 19:12 ¿Dónde [están] ahora aquellos tus sabios? Que te digan ahora, o te hagan saber qué es lo que Jehová de los ejércitos ha determinado sobre Egipto.(E) Ésaïe 19:12 Où sont-ils donc tes sages? Qu'ils te fassent des révélations, Et qu'on apprenne ce que l'Eternel des armées a résolu contre l'Egypte.(F) Isa 19:12 Wo sind denn nun deine Weisen? Laß sie dir's verkündigen und anzeigen, was der HERR Zebaoth über Ägypten beschlossen hat.(D) Isa 19:12 ποῦ εἰσιν νῦν οἱ σοφοί σου καὶ ἀναγγειλάτωσάν σοι καὶ εἰπάτωσαν τί βεβούλευται κύριος σαβαωθ ἐπ᾽ Αἴγυπτον(lxx) Isa 19:12 Where are they? Where are your wise men? Let them tell you now, And let them know what the Lord of hosts has purposed against Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:13 ============ Isa 19:13 The princes of Zoan have acted foolishly, The princes of Memphis are deluded; Those who are the cornerstone of her tribes Have led Egypt astray.(nasb) Isa 19:13 Stulti facti sunt principes Taneos, emarcuerunt principes Mempheos; deceperunt Ægyptum, angulum populorum ejus.(vulgate) Isaías 19:13 Se han desvanecido los príncipes de Zoán, se han engañado los príncipes de Nof; engañaron a Egipto los que son la piedra angular de sus tribus.(E) Ésaïe 19:13 Les princes de Tsoan sont fous, Les princes de Noph sont dans l'illusion, Les chefs des tribus égarent l'Egypte;(F) Isa 19:13 Aber die Fürsten zu Zoan sind zu Narren geworden, die Fürsten zu Noph sind betrogen; es verführen Ägypten die Ecksteine seiner Geschlechter.(D) Isa 19:13 ἐξέλιπον οἱ ἄρχοντες Τάνεως καὶ ὑψώθησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες Μέμφεως καὶ πλανήσουσιν Αἴγυπτον κατὰ φυλάς(lxx) Isa 19:13 The princes of Zoan have become fools; The princes of Noph are deceived; They have also deluded Egypt, Those who are the mainstay of its tribes.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:14 ============ Isa 19:14 The Lord has mixed within her a spirit of distortion; They have led Egypt astray in all that it does, As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.(nasb) Isa 19:14 Dominus miscuit in medio ejus spiritum vertiginis; et errare fecerunt Ægyptum in omni opere suo, sicut errat ebrius et vomens.(vulgate) Isaías 19:14 Jehová mezcló espíritu de vértigo en medio de él; e hicieron errar a Egipto en toda su obra, como tambalea el borracho en su vómito.(E) Ésaïe 19:14 L'Eternel a répandu au milieu d'elle un esprit de vertige, Pour qu'ils fassent chanceler les Egyptiens dans tous leurs actes, Comme un homme ivre chancelle en vomissant.(F) Isa 19:14 Denn der HERR hat einen Schwindelgeist unter sie ausgegossen, daß sie Ägypten verführen in allem ihrem Tun, wie ein Trunkenbold taumelt, wenn er speit.(D) Isa 19:14 κύριος γὰρ ἐκέρασεν αὐτοῖς πνεῦμα πλανήσεως καὶ ἐπλάνησαν Αἴγυπτον ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν ὡς πλανᾶται ὁ μεθύων καὶ ὁ ἐμῶν ἅμα(lxx) Isa 19:14 The Lord has mingled a perverse spirit in her midst; And they have caused Egypt to err in all her work, As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:15 ============ Isa 19:15 There will be no work for Egypt Which its head or tail, its palm branch or bulrush, may do.(nasb) Isa 19:15 Et non erit Ægypto opus quod faciat caput et caudam, incurvantem et refrenantem.(vulgate) Isaías 19:15 Y no aprovechará a Egipto obra [alguna] que pueda hacer la cabeza o la cola, la rama o el junco.(E) Ésaïe 19:15 Et l'Egypte sera hors d'état de faire Ce que font la tête et la queue, La branche de palmier et le roseau.(F) Isa 19:15 Und Ägypten wird kein Werk haben, das Haupt oder Schwanz, Ast oder Stumpf ausrichte.(D) Isa 19:15 καὶ οὐκ ἔσται τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις ἔργον ὃ ποιήσει κεφαλὴν καὶ οὐράν ἀρχὴν καὶ τέλος(lxx) Isa 19:15 Neither will there be any work for Egypt, Which the head or tail, Palm branch or bulrush, may do.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:16 ============ Isa 19:16 In that day the Egyptians will become like women, and they will tremble and be in dread because of the waving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which He is going to wave over them.(nasb) Isa 19:16 In die illa erit Ægyptus quasi mulieres; et stupebunt, et timebunt a facie commotionis manus Domini exercituum, quam ipse movebit super eam.(vulgate) Isaías 19:16 En aquel día los egipcios serán como mujeres; porque se asombrarán y temerán, en la presencia de la mano alta de Jehová de los ejércitos, que Él ha de levantar sobre ellos.(E) Ésaïe 19:16 En ce jour, l'Egypte sera comme des femmes: Elle tremblera et aura peur, En voyant s'agiter la main de l'Eternel des armées, Quand il la lèvera contre elle.(F) Isa 19:16 Zu der Zeit wird Ägypten sein wie Weiber und sich fürchten und erschrecken, wenn der HERR Zebaoth die Hand über sie schwingen wird.(D) Isa 19:16 τῇ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἔσονται οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὡς γυναῖκες ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἐν τρόμῳ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς χειρὸς κυρίου σαβαωθ ἣν αὐτὸς ἐπιβαλεῖ αὐτοῖς(lxx) Isa 19:16 In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which He waves over it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:17 ============ Isa 19:17 The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt; everyone to whom it is mentioned will be in dread of it, because of the purpose of the Lord of hosts which He is purposing against them.(nasb) Isa 19:17 Et erit terra Juda Ægypto in pavorem; omnis qui illius fuerit recordatus pavebit a facie consilii Domini exercituum, quod ipse cogitavit super eam.(vulgate) Isaías 19:17 Y la tierra de Judá será de espanto a Egipto; todo hombre que de ella se acordare temerá por causa del consejo que Jehová de los ejércitos acordó sobre aquél.(E) Ésaïe 19:17 Et le pays de Juda sera pour l'Egypte un objet d'effroi: Dès qu'on lui en parlera, elle sera dans l'épouvante, A cause de la résolution prise contre elle par l'Eternel des armées.(F) Isa 19:17 Und Ägypten wird sich fürchten vor dem Lande Juda, daß, wer desselben gedenkt, wird davor erschrecken über den Rat des HERRN Zebaoth, den er über sie beschlossen hat.(D) Isa 19:17 καὶ ἔσται ἡ χώρα τῶν Ιουδαίων τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις εἰς φόβητρον πᾶς ὃς ἐὰν ὀνομάσῃ αὐτὴν αὐτοῖς φοβηθήσονται διὰ τὴν βουλήν ἣν βεβούλευται κύριος ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν(lxx) Isa 19:17 And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts which He has determined against it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 19:18 ============ Isa 19:18 In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of Canaan and swearing allegiance to the Lord of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction.(nasb) Isa 19:18 In die illa erunt quinque civitates in terra Ægypti loquentes lingua Chanaan, et jurantes per Dominum exercituum: Civitas solis vocabitur una.(vulgate) Isaías 19:18 En aquel tiempo habrá cinco ciudades en la tierra de Egipto que hablen la lengua de Canaán, y que juren por Jehová de los ejércitos; una será llamada La Ciudad de la Destrucción.(E) Ésaïe 19:18 En ce temps-là, il y aura cinq villes au pays d'Egypte, Qui parleront la langue de Canaan, Et qui jureront par l'Eternel des armées: L'une d'elles sera appelée ville de la destruction.(F) Isa 19:18 Zu der Zeit werden fünf Städte in Ägyptenland reden nach der Sprache Kanaans und schwören bei dem HERRN Zebaoth.
