Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 16:1 ============ Jer 16:1 The word of the Lord also came to me saying,(nasb) Jer 16:1 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 16:1 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 16:1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Jer 16:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Jer 16:1 καὶ σὺ μὴ λάβῃς γυναῖκα λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ(lxx) Jer 16:1 The word of the Lord also came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:2 ============ Jer 16:2 "You shall not take a wife for yourself nor have sons or daughters in this place."(nasb) Jer 16:2 [Non accipies uxorem, et non erunt tibi filii et filiæ in loco isto.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:2 No tomarás esposa para ti, ni tendrás hijos ni hijas en este lugar.(E) Jérémie 16:2 Tu ne prendras point de femme, Et tu n'auras dans ce lieu ni fils ni filles.(F) Jer 16:2 Du sollst kein Weib nehmen und weder Söhne noch Töchter zeugen an diesem Ort.(D) Jer 16:2 καὶ οὐ γεννηθήσεταί σοι υἱὸς οὐδὲ θυγάτηρ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ(lxx) Jer 16:2 "You shall not take a wife, nor shall you have sons or daughters in this place."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:3 ============ Jer 16:3 For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them, and their fathers who beget them in this land:(nasb) Jer 16:3 Quia hæc dicit Dominus super filios et filias qui generantur in loco isto, et super matres eorum, quæ genuerunt eos, et super patres eorum, de quorum stirpe sunt nati in terra hac:(vulgate) Jeremías 16:3 Porque así dice Jehová acerca de los hijos y de las hijas que nacieren en este lugar, y de sus madres que los dieren a luz, y de los padres que los engendraren en esta tierra.(E) Jérémie 16:3 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel sur les fils et les filles Qui naîtront en ce lieu, Sur leurs mères qui les auront enfantés, Et sur leurs pères qui les auront engendrés dans ce pays:(F) Jer 16:3 Denn so spricht der HERR von den Söhnen und Töchtern, die an diesem Ort geboren werden, dazu von ihren Müttern die sie gebären, und von ihren Vätern, die sie zeugen in diesem Lande:(D) Jer 16:3 ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος περὶ τῶν υἱῶν καὶ περὶ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν γεννωμένων ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ καὶ περὶ τῶν μητέρων αὐτῶν τῶν τετοκυιῶν αὐτοὺς καὶ περὶ τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν τῶν γεγεννηκότων αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ(lxx) Jer 16:3 For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them and their fathers who begot them in this land:(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:4 ============ Jer 16:4 "They will die of deadly diseases, they will not be lamented or buried; they will be as dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth."(nasb) Jer 16:4 Mortibus ægrotationum morientur: non plangentur, et non sepelientur: in sterquilinium super faciem terræ erunt, et gladio et fame consumentur: et erit cadaver eorum in escam volatilibus cæli et bestiis terræ.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:4 De dolorosas enfermedades morirán; no serán plañidos ni sepultados; serán como estiércol sobre la faz de la tierra; y con espada y con hambre serán consumidos, y sus cuerpos servirán de comida para las aves del cielo y para las bestias de la tierra.(E) Jérémie 16:4 Ils mourront consumés par la maladie; On ne leur donnera ni larmes ni sépulture; Ils seront comme du fumier sur la terre; Ils périront par l'épée et par la famine; Et leurs cadavres serviront de pâture Aux oiseaux du ciel et aux bêtes de la terre.(F) Jer 16:4 Sie sollen an Krankheiten sterben und weder beklagt noch begraben werden, sondern sollen Dung werden auf dem Lande, dazu durch Schwert und Hunger umkommen, und ihre Leichname sollen der Vögel des Himmels und der Tiere auf Erden Speise sein.(D) Jer 16:4 ἐν θανάτῳ νοσερῷ ἀποθανοῦνται οὐ κοπήσονται καὶ οὐ ταφήσονται εἰς παράδειγμα ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς ἔσονται καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς καὶ τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐν μαχαίρᾳ πεσοῦνται καὶ ἐν λιμῷ συντελεσθήσονται(lxx) Jer 16:4 "They shall die gruesome deaths; they shall not be lamented nor shall they be buried, but they shall be like refuse on the face of the earth. They shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, and their corpses shall be meat for the birds of heaven and for the beasts of the earth."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:5 ============ Jer 16:5 For thus says the Lord, "Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to lament or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people," declares the Lord," My lovingkindness and compassion.(nasb) Jer 16:5 Hæc enim dicit Dominus: Ne ingrediaris domum convivii, neque vadas ad plangendum, neque consoleris eos, quia abstuli pacem meam a populo isto, dicit Dominus, misericordiam et miserationes.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:5 Porque así dice Jehová: No entres en casa de luto, ni vayas a lamentar, ni los consueles: porque yo he quitado mi paz de este pueblo, dice Jehová, [mi] misericordia y piedades.(E) Jérémie 16:5 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: N'entre pas dans une maison de deuil, N'y va pas pleurer, te lamenter avec eux; Car j'ai retiré à ce peuple ma paix, dit l'Eternel, Ma bonté et ma miséricorde.(F) Jer 16:5 Denn so spricht der HERR: Du sollst nicht zum Trauerhaus gehen und sollst auch nirgend hin zu Klagen gehen noch Mitleiden über sie haben; denn ich habe meinen Frieden von diesem Volk weggenommen, spricht der HERR, samt meiner Gnade und Barmherzigkeit,(D) Jer 16:5 τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς θίασον αὐτῶν καὶ μὴ πορευθῇς τοῦ κόψασθαι καὶ μὴ πενθήσῃς αὐτούς ὅτι ἀφέστακα τὴν εἰρήνην μου ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου(lxx) Jer 16:5 For thus says the Lord: "Do not enter the house of mourning, nor go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people," says the Lord, "lovingkindness and mercies.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:6 ============ Jer 16:6 Both great men and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them.(nasb) Jer 16:6 Et morientur grandes et parvi in terra ista: non sepelientur, neque plangentur, et non se incident, neque calvitium fiet pro eis.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:6 Morirán grandes y pequeños en esta tierra; no serán sepultados, ni los plañirán, ni se sajarán ni se raparán por ellos;(E) Jérémie 16:6 Grands et petits mourront dans ce pays; On ne leur donnera point de sépulture; On ne les pleurera point, On ne se fera point d'incision, Et l'on ne se rasera pas pour eux.(F) Jer 16:6 daß beide, groß und klein, sollen in diesem Lande sterben und nicht begraben noch beklagt werden, und niemand wird sich über sie zerritzen noch kahl scheren.(D) Jer 16:6 οὐ μὴ κόψωνται αὐτοὺς οὐδὲ ἐντομίδας οὐ μὴ ποιήσωσιν καὶ οὐ ξυρήσονται(lxx) Jer 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried; neither shall men lament for them, cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:7 ============ Jer 16:7 Men will not break bread in mourning for them, to comfort anyone for the dead, nor give them a cup of consolation to drink for anyone's father or mother.(nasb) Jer 16:7 Et non frangent inter eos lugenti panem ad consolandum super mortuo, et non dabunt eis potum calicis ad consolandum super patre suo et matre.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:7 ni partirán [pan] de luto por ellos, para consolarles de [sus] muertos; ni les darán a beber vaso de consolaciones por su padre o por su madre.(E) Jérémie 16:7 On ne rompra pas le pain dans le deuil Pour consoler quelqu'un au sujet d'un mort, Et l'on n'offrira pas la coupe de consolation Pour un père ou pour une mère.(F) Jer 16:7 Und man wird auch nicht unter sie Brot austeilen bei der Klage, sie zu trösten über die Leiche, und ihnen auch nicht aus dem Trostbecher zu trinken geben über Vater und Mutter.(D) Jer 16:7 καὶ οὐ μὴ κλασθῇ ἄρτος ἐν πένθει αὐτῶν εἰς παράκλησιν ἐπὶ τεθνηκότι οὐ ποτιοῦσιν αὐτὸν ποτήριον εἰς παράκλησιν ἐπὶ πατρὶ καὶ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jer 16:7 Nor shall men break bread in mourning for them, to comfort them for the dead; nor shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or their mother.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:8 ============ Jer 16:8 Moreover you shall not go into a house of feasting to sit with them to eat and drink."(nasb) Jer 16:8 Et domum convivii non ingrediaris, ut sedeas cum eis, et comedas, et bibas.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:8 Asimismo no entres en casa de convite, para sentarte con ellos a comer o a beber.(E) Jérémie 16:8 N'entre pas non plus dans une maison de festin, Pour t'asseoir avec eux, Pour manger et pour boire.(F) Jer 16:8 Du sollst auch in kein Trinkhaus gehen, bei ihnen zu sitzen, weder zu essen noch zu trinken.(D) Jer 16:8 εἰς οἰκίαν πότου οὐκ εἰσελεύσῃ συγκαθίσαι μετ᾽ αὐτῶν τοῦ φαγεῖν καὶ πιεῖν(lxx) Jer 16:8 Also you shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and drink."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:9 ============ Jer 16:9 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel." Behold, I am going to eliminate from this place, before your eyes and in your time, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride.(nasb) Jer 16:9 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Ecce ego auferam de loco isto, in oculis vestris, et in diebus vestris, vocem gaudii et vocem lætitiæ, vocem sponsi et vocem sponsæ.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:9 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: He aquí que yo haré cesar en este lugar, delante de vuestros ojos y en vuestros días, toda voz de gozo y toda voz de alegría, toda voz de desposado y toda voz de desposada.(E) Jérémie 16:9 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je ferai cesser dans ce lieu, sous vos yeux et de vos jours, Les cris de réjouissance et les cris d'allégresse, Les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée.(F) Jer 16:9 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will an diesem Ort wegnehmen vor euren Augen und bei eurem Leben die Stimme der Freude und Wonne, die Stimme des Bräutigams und der Braut.(D) Jer 16:9 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ καταλύω ἐκ τοῦ τόπου τούτου ἐνώπιον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ὑμῶν φωνὴν χαρᾶς καὶ φωνὴν εὐφροσύνης φωνὴν νυμφίου καὶ φωνὴν νύμφης(lxx) Jer 16:9 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: "Behold, I will cause to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:10 ============ Jer 16:10 "Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, 'For what reason has the Lord declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against the Lord our God?'(nasb) Jer 16:10 Et cum annuntiaveris populo huic omnia verba hæc, et dixerint tibi: Quare locutus est Dominus super nos omne malum grande istud? quæ iniquitas nostra, et quod peccatum nostrum, quod peccavimus Domino Deo nostro?(vulgate) Jeremías 16:10 Y acontecerá que cuando anunciares a este pueblo todas estas cosas, te dirán ellos: ¿Por qué habló Jehová sobre nosotros este mal tan grande? ¿O cuál es nuestra maldad, o qué pecado [es] el nuestro, que hemos cometido contra Jehová nuestro Dios?(E) Jérémie 16:10 Lorsque tu annonceras à ce peuple toutes ces choses, Ils te diront: Pourquoi l'Eternel nous menace-t-il de tous ces grands malheurs? Quelle est notre iniquité? Quel péché avons-nous commis contre l'Eternel, notre Dieu?(F) Jer 16:10 Und wenn du solches alles diesem Volk gesagt hast und sie zu dir sprechen werden: Warum redet der HERR über uns all dies Unglück? welches ist die Missetat und Sünde, damit wir wider den HERRN, unsern Gott, gesündigt haben?(D) Jer 16:10 καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἀναγγείλῃς τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ἅπαντα τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα καὶ εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ διὰ τί ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς πάντα τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα τίς ἡ ἀδικία ἡμῶν καὶ τίς ἡ ἁμαρτία ἡμῶν ἣν ἡμάρτομεν ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν(lxx) Jer 16:10 "And it shall be, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, 'Why has the Lord pronounced all this great disaster against us? Or what is our iniquity? Or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:11 ============ Jer 16:11 Then you are to say to them, 'It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me,' declares the Lord, 'and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law.(nasb) Jer 16:11 dices ad eos: Quia dereliquerunt me patres vestri, ait Dominus, et abierunt post deos alienos, et servierunt eis, et adoraverunt eos, et me dereliquerunt, et legem meam non custodierunt.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:11 Entonces les dirás: Porque vuestros padres me dejaron, dice Jehová, y anduvieron en pos de dioses ajenos, y los sirvieron, y a ellos se encorvaron, y me dejaron a mí, y no guardaron mi ley;(E) Jérémie 16:11 Alors tu leur répondras: Vos pères m'ont abandonné, dit l'Eternel, Ils sont allés après d'autres dieux, Ils les ont servis et se sont prosternés devant eux; Ils m'ont abandonné, et n'ont point observé ma loi.(F) Jer 16:11 sollst du ihnen sagen: Darum daß eure Väter mich verlassen haben, spricht der HERR, und andern Göttern gefolgt sind, ihnen gedient und sie angebetet, mich aber verlassen und mein Gesetz nicht gehalten haben(D) Jer 16:11 καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτοῖς ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐγκατέλιπόν με οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος καὶ ᾤχοντο ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτοῖς καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐμὲ ἐγκατέλιπον καὶ τὸν νόμον μου οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο(lxx) Jer 16:11 then you shall say to them, 'Because your fathers have forsaken Me,' says the Lord; 'they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:12 ============ Jer 16:12 You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.(nasb) Jer 16:12 Sed et vos pejus operati estis quam patres vestri: ecce enim ambulat unusquisque post pravitatem cordis sui mali, ut me non audiat.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:12 Y vosotros habéis hecho peor que vuestros padres; porque he aquí que vosotros camináis cada uno tras la imaginación de su malvado corazón, no oyéndome a mí.(E) Jérémie 16:12 Et vous, vous avez fait le mal plus encore que vos pères; Et voici, vous suivez chacun les penchants de votre mauvais coeur, Pour ne point m'écouter.(F) Jer 16:12 und ihr noch ärger tut als eure Väter. Denn siehe, ein jeglicher lebt nach seines bösen Herzens Gedünken, daß er mir nicht gehorche.(D) Jer 16:12 καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐπονηρεύσασθε ὑπὲρ τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὑμεῖς πορεύεσθε ἕκαστος ὀπίσω τῶν ἀρεστῶν τῆς καρδίας ὑμῶν τῆς πονηρᾶς τοῦ μὴ ὑπακούειν μου(lxx) Jer 16:12 And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:13 ============ Jer 16:13 So I will hurl you out of this land into the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will grant you no favor.'(nasb) Jer 16:13 Et ejiciam vos de terra hac in terram quam ignoratis, vos et patres vestri: et servietis ibi diis alienis, die ac nocte, qui non dabunt vobis requiem.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:13 Por tanto, yo os arrojaré de esta tierra a una tierra que ni vosotros ni vuestros padres habéis conocido, y allá serviréis a dioses ajenos de día y de noche; porque no os mostraré clemencia.(E) Jérémie 16:13 Je vous transporterai de ce pays Dans un pays que vous n'avez point connu, Ni vous, ni vos pères; Et là, vous servirez les autres dieux jour et nuit, Car je ne vous accorderai point de grâce.(F) Jer 16:13 Darum will ich euch aus diesem Lande stoßen in ein Land, davon weder ihr noch eure Väter gewußt haben; daselbst sollt ihr andern Göttern dienen Tag und Nacht, dieweil ich euch keine Gnade erzeigen will.(D) Jer 16:13 καὶ ἀπορρίψω ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ταύτης εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν οὐκ ᾔδειτε ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν καὶ δουλεύσετε ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις οἳ οὐ δώσουσιν ὑμῖν ἔλεος(lxx) Jer 16:13 Therefore I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:14 ============ Jer 16:14 "Therefore behold, days are coming," declares the Lord, "when it will no longer be said, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, '(nasb) Jer 16:14 Propterea ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et non dicetur ultra: Vivit Dominus qui eduxit filios Israël de terra Ægypti,(vulgate) Jeremías 16:14 Por tanto, he aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que no se dirá más: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de tierra de Egipto;(E) Jérémie 16:14 C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, Où l'on ne dira plus: L'Eternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter du pays d'Egypte les enfants d'Israël!(F) Jer 16:14 Darum siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, daß man nicht mehr sagen wird: So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Kinder Israel aus Ägyptenland geführt hat!(D) Jer 16:14 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐκ ἐροῦσιν ἔτι ζῇ κύριος ὁ ἀναγαγὼν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου(lxx) Jer 16:14 "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "that it shall no more be said, 'The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:15 ============ Jer 16:15 but, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.'For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.(nasb) Jer 16:15 sed: Vivit Dominus qui eduxit filios Israël de terra aquilonis, et de universis terris ad quas ejeci eos: et reducam eos in terram suam, quam dedi patribus eorum.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:15 sino: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de la tierra del norte, y de todas las tierras a donde los había arrojado: y los volveré a su tierra, la cual di a sus padres.(E) Jérémie 16:15 Mais on dira: L'Eternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter les enfants d'Israël du pays du septentrion Et de tous les pays où il les avait chassés! Je les ramènerai dans leur pays, Que j'avais donné à leurs pères.(F) Jer 16:15 sondern: So wahr der HERR lebt, der die Kinder Israel geführt hat aus dem Lande der Mitternacht und aus allen Ländern, dahin er sie verstoßen hatte! Denn ich will sie wiederbringen in das Land, das ich ihren Vätern gegeben habe.(D) Jer 16:15 ἀλλά ζῇ κύριος ὃς ἀνήγαγεν τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ ἀπὸ γῆς βορρᾶ καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν χωρῶν οὗ ἐξώσθησαν ἐκεῖ καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἣν ἔδωκα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν(lxx) Jer 16:15 but, 'The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 16:16 ============ Jer 16:16 "Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen," declares the Lord,"and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks.(nasb) Jer 16:16 Ecce ego mittam piscatores multos, dicit Dominus, et piscabuntur eos: et post hæc mittam eis multos venatores, et venabuntur eos de omni monte, et de omni colle, et de cavernis petrarum.(vulgate) Jeremías 16:16 He aquí que yo envío muchos pescadores, dice Jehová, y los pescarán; y después enviaré muchos cazadores, y los cazarán de todo monte, y de todo collado, y de las cavernas de los peñascos.(E) Jérémie 16:16 Voici, j'envoie une multitude de pêcheurs, dit l'Eternel, et ils les pêcheront; Et après cela j'enverrai une multitude de chasseurs, et ils les chasseront De toutes les montagnes et de toutes les collines, Et des fentes des rochers.(F) Jer 16:16 Siehe, ich will viel Fischer aussenden, spricht der HERR, die sollen sie fischen;
