Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 11:1 ============ 2Ch 11:1 Now when Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he assembled the house of Judah and Benjamin, 180,000 chosen men who were warriors, to fight against Israel to restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.(nas) 2Ch 11:1 καὶ ἦλθεν Ροβοαμ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδας νεανίσκων ποιούντων πόλεμον καὶ ἐπολέμει πρὸς Ισραηλ τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι τὴν βασιλείαν τῷ Ροβοαμ (lxx) 2Ch 11:1 Venit autem Roboam in Jerusalem, et convocavit universam domum Juda et Benjamin, centum octoginta millia electorum atque bellantium, ut dimicaret contra Israël, et converteret ad se regnum suum.(vulgate) 1 ׃11 וַיָּבֹ֣א רְחַבְעָם֮ יְרוּשָׁלִַם֒ וַיַּקְהֵל֩ אֶת־בֵּ֨ית יְהוּדָ֜ה וּבִנְיָמִ֗ן מֵאָ֨ה וּשְׁמוֹנִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶף בָּח֖וּר עֹשֵׂ֣ה מִלְחָמָ֑ה לְהִלָּחֵם֙ עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה לִרְחַבְעָֽם׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:1 Und da Rehabeam gen Jerusalem kam, versammelte er das ganze Haus Juda und Benjamin, hunderundachtzigtausend junger Mannschaft, die streitbar waren, wider Israel zu streiten, daß sie das Königreich wieder an Rehabeam brächten.(dhs) 2Ch 11:1 Now when Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he assembled from the house of Judah and Benjamin one hundred and eighty thousand chosen men who were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:2 ============ 2Ch 11:2 But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,(nas) 2Ch 11:2 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Σαμαιαν ἄνθρωπον τοῦ θεοῦ λέγων (lxx) 2Ch 11:2 Factusque est sermo Domini ad Semeiam hominem Dei, dicens:(vulgate) 2 ׃11 וַיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־שְׁמַֽעְיָ֥הוּ אִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לֵאמֹֽר׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:2 Aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu Semaja, dem Mann Gottes, und sprach:(dhs) 2Ch 11:2 But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:3 ============ 2Ch 11:3 "Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,(nas) 2Ch 11:3 εἰπὸν πρὸς Ροβοαμ τὸν τοῦ Σαλωμων καὶ πρὸς πάντα Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν λέγων (lxx) 2Ch 11:3 Loquere ad Roboam filium Salomonis regem Juda, et ad universum Israël, qui est in Juda et Benjamin:(vulgate) 3 ׃11 אֱמֹ֕ר אֶל־רְחַבְעָ֥ם בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְאֶל֙ כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בִּיהוּדָ֥ה וּבִנְיָמִ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:3 Sage Rehabeam, dem Sohn Salomos, dem König Juda's, und dem ganzen Israel, das in Juda und Benjamin ist, und sprich:(dhs) 2Ch 11:3 "Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:4 ============ 2Ch 11:4 'Thus says the Lord, "You shall not go up or fight against your relatives; return every man to his house, for this thing is from Me."'" So they listened to the words of the Lord and returned from going against Jeroboam.(nas) 2Ch 11:4 τάδε λέγει κύριος οὐκ ἀναβήσεσθε καὶ οὐ πολεμήσετε πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν ἀποστρέφετε ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ ὅτι παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐγένετο τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ ἐπήκουσαν τοῦ λόγου κυρίου καὶ ἀπεστράφησαν τοῦ μὴ πορευθῆναι ἐπὶ Ιεροβοαμ (lxx) 2Ch 11:4 Hæc dicit Dominus: Non ascendetis, neque pugnabitis contra fratres vestros: revertatur unusquisque in domum suam, quia mea hoc gestum est voluntate. Qui cum audissent sermonem Domini, reversi sunt, nec perrexerunt contra Jeroboam.~(vulgate) 4 ׃11 כֹּ֣ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֡ה לֹא־תַעֲלוּ֩ וְלֹא־תִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּ עִם־אֲחֵיכֶ֗ם שׁ֚וּבוּ אִ֣ישׁ לְבֵית֔וֹ כִּ֧י מֵֽאִתִּ֛י נִהְיָ֖ה הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ מִלֶּ֥כֶת אֶל־יָרָבְעָֽם׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:4 So spricht der HERR: Ihr sollt nicht hinaufziehen noch wider eure Brüder streiten; ein jeglicher gehe wieder heim; denn das ist von mir geschehen. Sie gehorchten dem HERRN und ließen ab von dem Zug wider Jerobeam.(dhs) 2Ch 11:4 'Thus says the Lord: "You shall not go up or fight against your brethren! Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me." So he held Judah and Benjamin.(nas) 2Ch 11:12 κατὰ πόλιν καὶ κατὰ πόλιν θυρεοὺς καὶ δόρατα καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτὰς εἰς πλῆθος σφόδρα καὶ ἦσαν αὐτῷ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν (lxx) 2Ch 11:12 Sed et in singulis urbibus fecit armamentarium scutorum et hastarum, firmavitque eas summa diligentia, et imperavit super Judam et Benjamin.~(vulgate) 12 ׃11 וּבְכָל־עִ֤יר וָעִיר֙ צִנּ֣וֹת וּרְמָחִ֔ים וַֽיְחַזְּקֵ֖ם לְהַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וַיְהִי־ל֖וֹ יְהוּדָ֥ה וּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ ס Chronicles2 2Ch 11:12 Und in allen Städten schaffte er Schilde und Spieße und machte sie sehr stark. Juda und Benjamin waren unter ihm.(dhs) 2Ch 11:12 Also in every city he put shields and spears, and made them very strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:13 ============ 2Ch 11:13 Moreover, the priests and the Levites who were in all Israel stood with him from all their districts.(nas) 2Ch 11:13 καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται οἳ ἦσαν ἐν παντὶ Ισραηλ συνήχθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐκ πάντων τῶν ὁρίων (lxx) 2Ch 11:13 Sacerdotes autem et Levitæ qui erant in universo Israël, venerunt ad eum de cunctis sedibus suis,(vulgate) 13 ׃11 וְהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הִֽתְיַצְּב֥וּ עָלָ֖יו מִכָּל־גְּבוּלָֽם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:13 Auch machten sich zu ihm die Priester und Leviten aus ganz Israel und allem Gebiet;(dhs) 2Ch 11:13 And from all their territories the priests and the Levites who were in all Israel took their stand with him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:14 ============ 2Ch 11:14 For the Levites left their pasture lands and their property and came to Judah and Jerusalem, for Jeroboam and his sons had excluded them from serving as priests to the Lord.(nas) 2Ch 11:14 ὅτι ἐγκατέλιπον οἱ Λευῖται τὰ σκηνώματα τῆς κατασχέσεως αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν πρὸς Ιουδαν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς Ιεροβοαμ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ λειτουργεῖν κυρίῳ (lxx) 2Ch 11:14 relinquentes suburbana et possessiones suas, et transeuntes ad Judam et Jerusalem: eo quod abjecisset eos Jeroboam et posteri ejus, ne sacerdotio Domini fungerentur.(vulgate) 14 ׃11 כִּֽי־עָזְב֣וּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם אֶת־מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם֙ וַאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ לִיהוּדָ֖ה וְלִֽירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם כִּֽי־הִזְנִיחָ֤ם יָֽרָבְעָם֙ וּבָנָ֔יו מִכַּהֵ֖ן לַיהוָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:14 denn die Leviten verließen ihre Vorstädte und Habe und kamen zu Juda gen Jerusalem. Denn Jerobeam und seine Söhne verstießen sie, daß sie vor dem HERRN nicht des Priesteramtes pflegen konnten.(dhs) 2Ch 11:14 For the Levites left their common-lands and their possessions and came to Judah and Jerusalem, for Jeroboam and his sons had rejected them from serving as priests to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:15 ============ 2Ch 11:15 He set up priests of his own for the high places, for the satyrs and for the calves which he had made.(nas) 2Ch 11:15 καὶ κατέστησεν ἑαυτῷ ἱερεῖς τῶν ὑψηλῶν καὶ τοῖς εἰδώλοις καὶ τοῖς ματαίοις καὶ τοῖς μόσχοις ἃ ἐποίησεν Ιεροβοαμ (lxx) 2Ch 11:15 Qui constituit sibi sacerdotes excelsorum, et dæmoniorum, vitulorumque quos fecerat.(vulgate) 15 ׃11 וַיַּֽעֲמֶד־לוֹ֙ כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים לַבָּמ֖וֹת וְלַשְּׂעִירִ֑ים וְלָעֲגָלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:15 Er stiftete sich aber Priester zu den Höhen und zu den Feldteufeln und Kälbern, die er machen ließ.(dhs) 2Ch 11:15 Then he appointed for himself priests for the high places, for the demons, and the calf idols which he had made.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:16 ============ 2Ch 11:16 Those from all the tribes of Israel who set their hearts on seeking the Lord God of Israel followed them to Jerusalem, to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.(nas) 2Ch 11:16 καὶ ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ φυλῶν Ισραηλ οἳ ἔδωκαν καρδίαν αὐτῶν τοῦ ζητῆσαι κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ θῦσαι κυρίῳ θεῷ τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν (lxx) 2Ch 11:16 Sed et de cunctis tribubus Israël, quicumque dederant cor suum ut quærerent Dominum Deum Israël, venerunt in Jerusalem ad immolandum victimas suas coram Domino Deo patrum suorum.(vulgate) 16 ׃11 וְאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הַנֹּֽתְנִים֙ אֶת־לְבָבָ֔ם לְבַקֵּ֕שׁ אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בָּ֚אוּ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם לִזְבּ֕וֹחַ לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:16 Und nach ihnen kamen aus allen Stämmen Israels, die ihr Herz gaben, daß sie nach dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, fragten, gen Jerusalem, daß sie opferten dem HERRN, dem Gott ihrer Väter.(dhs) 2Ch 11:16 And after the Levites left, those from all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 11:17 ============ 2Ch 11:17 They strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam the son of Solomon for three years, for they walked in the way of David and Solomon for three years.(nas) 2Ch 11:17 καὶ κατίσχυσαν τὴν βασιλείαν Ιουδα καὶ κατίσχυσαν Ροβοαμ τὸν τοῦ Σαλωμων εἰς ἔτη τρία ὅτι ἐπορεύθη ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς Δαυιδ καὶ Σαλωμων ἔτη τρία (lxx) 2Ch 11:17 Et roboraverunt regnum Juda, et confirmaverunt Roboam filium Salomonis per tres annos: ambulaverunt enim in viis David et Salomonis, annis tantum tribus.~(vulgate) 17 ׃11 וַֽיְחַזְּקוּ֙ אֶת־מַלְכ֣וּת יְהוּדָ֔ה וַֽיְאַמְּצ֛וּ אֶת־רְחַבְעָ֥ם בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְשָׁנִ֣ים שָׁל֑וֹשׁ כִּ֣י הָֽלְכ֗וּ בְּדֶ֧רֶךְ דָּוִ֛יד וּשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְשָׁנִ֥ים שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 11:17 Und stärkten also das Königreich Juda und befestigten Rehabeam, den Sohn Salomos, drei Jahre lang;
