Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 25:1 ============ Isa 25:1 O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.(nas) Isa 25:1 κύριε ὁ θεός μου δοξάσω σε ὑμνήσω τὸ ὄνομά σου ὅτι ἐποίησας θαυμαστὰ πράγματα βουλὴν ἀρχαίαν ἀληθινήν γένοιτο κύριε (lxx) Isa 25:1 [Domine, Deus meus es tu; exaltabo te, et confitebor nomini tuo: quoniam fecisti mirabilia, cogitationes antiquas fideles. Amen.(vulgate) 1 ׃25 יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהַי֙ אַתָּ֔ה אֲרֽוֹמִמְךָ֙ אוֹדֶ֣ה שִׁמְךָ֔ כִּ֥י עָשִׂ֖יתָ פֶּ֑לֶא עֵצ֥וֹת מֵֽרָח֖וֹק אֱמ֥וּנָה אֹֽמֶן׃ Isaiah Isa 25:1 HERR, du bist mein Gott! dich preise ich; ich lobe deinen Namen, denn du tust Wunder; deine Ratschlüsse von alters her sind treu und wahrhaftig.(dhs) Isa 25:1 O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:2 ============ Isa 25:2 For You have made a city into a heap, A fortified city into a ruin; A palace of strangers is a city no more, It will never be rebuilt.(nas) Isa 25:2 ὅτι ἔθηκας πόλεις εἰς χῶμα πόλεις ὀχυρὰς τοῦ πεσεῖν αὐτῶν τὰ θεμέλια τῶν ἀσεβῶν πόλις εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα οὐ μὴ οἰκοδομηθῇ (lxx) Isa 25:2 Quia posuisti civitatem in tumulum, urbem fortem in ruinam, domum alienorum: ut non sit civitas, et in sempiternum non ædificetur.(vulgate) 2 ׃25 כִּ֣י שַׂ֤מְתָּ מֵעִיר֙ לַגָּ֔ל קִרְיָ֥ה בְצוּרָ֖ה לְמַפֵּלָ֑ה אַרְמ֤וֹן זָרִים֙ מֵעִ֔יר לְעוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א יִבָּנֶֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 25:2 Denn du machst die Stadt zum Steinhaufen, die feste Stadt, daß sie auf einem Haufen liegt, der Fremden Palast, daß sie nicht mehr eine Stadt sei und nimmermehr gebaut werde.(dhs) Isa 25:2 For You have made a city a ruin, A fortified city a ruin, A palace of foreigners to be a city no more; It will never be rebuilt.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:3 ============ Isa 25:3 Therefore a strong people will glorify You; Cities of ruthless nations will revere You.(nas) Isa 25:3 διὰ τοῦτο εὐλογήσει σε ὁ λαὸς ὁ πτωχός καὶ πόλεις ἀνθρώπων ἀδικουμένων εὐλογήσουσίν σε (lxx) Isa 25:3 Super hoc laudabit te populus fortis; civitas gentium robustarum timebit te:(vulgate) 3 ׃25 עַל־כֵּ֖ן יְכַבְּד֣וּךָ עַם־עָ֑ז קִרְיַ֛ת גּוֹיִ֥ם עָרִיצִ֖ים יִירָאֽוּךָ׃ Isaiah Isa 25:3 Darum ehrt dich ein mächtiges Volk: die Städte gewaltiger Heiden fürchten dich.(dhs) Isa 25:3 Therefore the strong people will glorify You; The city of the terrible nations will fear You.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:4 ============ Isa 25:4 For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.(nas) Isa 25:4 ἐγένου γὰρ πάσῃ πόλει ταπεινῇ βοηθὸς καὶ τοῖς ἀθυμήσασιν διὰ ἔνδειαν σκέπη ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπων πονηρῶν ῥύσῃ αὐτούς σκέπη διψώντων καὶ πνεῦμα ἀνθρώπων ἀδικουμένων (lxx) Isa 25:4 quia factus es fortitudo pauperi, fortitudo egeno in tribulatione sua, spes a turbine, umbraculum ab æstu; spiritus enim robustorum quasi turbo impellens parietem.(vulgate) 4 ׃25 כִּֽי־הָיִ֨יתָ מָע֥וֹז לַדָּ֛ל מָע֥וֹז לָאֶבְי֖וֹן בַּצַּר־ל֑וֹ מַחְסֶ֤ה מִזֶּ֙רֶם֙ צֵ֣ל מֵחֹ֔רֶב כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ עָרִיצִ֖ים כְּזֶ֥רֶם קִֽיר׃ Isaiah Isa 25:4 Denn du bist der Geringen Stärke, der Armen Stärke in der Trübsal, eine Zuflucht vor dem Ungewitter, ein Schatten vor der Hitze, wenn die Tyrannen wüten wie ein Ungewitter wider eine Wand.(dhs) Isa 25:4 For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:5 ============ Isa 25:5 Like heat in drought, You subdue the uproar of aliens; Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the ruthless is silenced.(nas) Isa 25:5 εὐλογήσουσίν σε ὡς ἄνθρωποι ὀλιγόψυχοι διψῶντες ἐν Σιων ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπων ἀσεβῶν οἷς ἡμᾶς παρέδωκας (lxx) Isa 25:5 Sicut æstus in siti, tumultum alienorum humiliabis; et quasi calore sub nube torrente, propaginem fortium marcescere facies.(vulgate) 5 ׃25 כְּחֹ֣רֶב בְּצָי֔וֹן שְׁא֥וֹן זָרִ֖ים תַּכְנִ֑יעַ חֹ֚רֶב בְּצֵ֣ל עָ֔ב זְמִ֥יר עָֽרִיצִ֖ים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ פ Isaiah Isa 25:5 Du demütigst der Fremden Ungestüm wie die Hitze in einem dürren Ort; wie die Hitze durch der Wolken Schatten, so wird gedämpft der Tyrannen Siegesgesang.(dhs) Isa 25:5 You will reduce the noise of aliens, As heat in a dry place; As heat in the shadow of a cloud, The song of the terrible ones will be diminished.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:6 ============ Isa 25:6 The Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine.(nas) Isa 25:6 καὶ ποιήσει κύριος σαβαωθ πᾶσι τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τοῦτο πίονται εὐφροσύνην πίονται οἶνον χρίσονται μύρον (lxx) Isa 25:6 Et faciet Dominus exercituum omnibus populis in monte hoc convivium pinguium, convivium vindemiæ, pinguium medullatorum, vindemiæ defæcatæ.(vulgate) 6 ׃25 וְעָשָׂה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת לְכָל־הָֽעַמִּים֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה מִשְׁתֵּ֥ה שְׁמָנִ֖ים מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה שְׁמָרִ֑ים שְׁמָנִים֙ מְמֻ֣חָיִ֔ם שְׁמָרִ֖ים מְזֻקָּקִֽים׃ Isaiah Isa 25:6 Und der HERR Zebaoth wird allen Völkern machen auf diesem Berge ein fettes Mahl, ein Mahl von reinem Wein, von Fett, von Mark, von Wein, darin keine Hefe ist.(dhs) Isa 25:6 And in this mountain The Lord of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:7 ============ Isa 25:7 And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations.(nas) Isa 25:7 ἐν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ παράδος ταῦτα πάντα τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἡ γὰρ βουλὴ αὕτη ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (lxx) Isa 25:7 Et præcipitabit in monte isto faciem vinculi colligati super omnes populos, et telam quam orditus est super omnes nationes.(vulgate) 7 ׃25 וּבִלַּע֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה פְּנֵֽי־הַלּ֥וֹט ׀ הַלּ֖וֹט עַל־כָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֑ים וְהַמַּסֵּכָ֥ה הַנְּסוּכָ֖ה עַל־כָּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 25:7 Und er wird auf diesem Berge die Hülle wegtun, damit alle Völker verhüllt sind, und die Decke, mit der alle Heiden zugedeckt sind.(dhs) Isa 25:7 And He will destroy on this mountain The surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:8 ============ Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.(nas) Isa 25:8 κατέπιεν ὁ θάνατος ἰσχύσας καὶ πάλιν ἀφεῖλεν ὁ θεὸς πᾶν δάκρυον ἀπὸ παντὸς προσώπου τὸ ὄνειδος τοῦ λαοῦ ἀφεῖλεν ἀπὸ πάσης τῆς γῆς τὸ γὰρ στόμα κυρίου ἐλάλησεν (lxx) Isa 25:8 Præcipitabit mortem in sempiternum; et auferet Dominus Deus lacrimam ab omni facie, et opprobrium populi sui auferet de universa terra: quia Dominus locutus est.]~(vulgate) 8 ׃25 בִּלַּ֤ע הַמָּ֙וֶת֙ לָנֶ֔צַח וּמָחָ֨ה אֲדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה דִּמְעָ֖ה מֵעַ֣ל כָּל־פָּנִ֑ים וְחֶרְפַּ֣ת עַמּ֗וֹ יָסִיר֙ מֵעַ֣ל כָּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר׃ פ Isaiah Isa 25:8 Er wird den Tod verschlingen ewiglich; und der HERR HERR wird die Tränen von allen Angesichtern abwischen und wird aufheben alle Schmach seines Volks in allen Landen; denn der HERR hat's gesagt.(dhs) Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:9 ============ Isa 25:9 And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."(nas) Isa 25:9 καὶ ἐροῦσιν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἰδοὺ ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐφ᾽ ᾧ ἠλπίζομεν καὶ ἠγαλλιώμεθα καὶ εὐφρανθησόμεθα ἐπὶ τῇ σωτηρίᾳ ἡμῶν (lxx) Isa 25:9 [Et dicet in die illa: Ecce Deus noster iste; exspectavimus eum, et salvabit nos; iste Dominus, sustinuimus eum: exsultabimus, et lætabimur in salutari ejus.(vulgate) 9 ׃25 וְאָמַר֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא הִנֵּ֨ה אֱלֹהֵ֥ינוּ זֶ֛ה קִוִּ֥ינוּ ל֖וֹ וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נוּ זֶ֤ה יְהוָה֙ קִוִּ֣ינוּ ל֔וֹ נָגִ֥ילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָ֖ה בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ Isaiah Isa 25:9 Zu der Zeit wird man sagen: Siehe, das ist unser Gott, auf den wir harren, und er wird uns helfen; das ist der HERR auf den wir harren, daß wir uns freuen und fröhlich seien in seinem Heil.(dhs) Isa 25:9 And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:10 ============ Isa 25:10 For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, And Moab will be trodden down in his place As straw is trodden down in the water of a manure pile.(nas) Isa 25:10 ὅτι ἀνάπαυσιν δώσει ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τοῦτο καὶ καταπατηθήσεται ἡ Μωαβῖτις ὃν τρόπον πατοῦσιν ἅλωνα ἐν ἁμάξαις (lxx) Isa 25:10 Quia requiescet manus Domini in monte isto; et triturabitur Moab sub eo, sicuti teruntur paleæ in plaustro.(vulgate) 10 ׃25 כִּֽי־תָנ֥וּחַ יַד־יְהוָ֖ה בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וְנָדוֹ֤[t]שׁ מוֹאָב֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו כְּהִדּ֥וּשׁ מַתְבֵּ֖ן *במי **בְּמ֥וֹ מַדְמֵנָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 25:10 Denn die Hand des HERRN ruht auf diesem Berge. Moab aber wird unter ihm zertreten werden, wie Stroh zertreten wird und wie Kot.(dhs) Isa 25:10 For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest, And Moab shall be trampled down under Him, As straw is trampled down for the refuse heap.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:11 ============ Isa 25:11 And he will spread out his hands in the middle of it As a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, But the Lord will lay low his pride together with the trickery of his hands.(nas) Isa 25:11 καὶ ἀνήσει τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ὃν τρόπον καὶ αὐτὸς ἐταπείνωσεν τοῦ ἀπολέσαι καὶ ταπεινώσει τὴν ὕβριν αὐτοῦ ἐφ᾽ ἃ τὰς χεῖρας ἐπέβαλεν (lxx) Isa 25:11 Et extendet manus suas sub eo sicut extendit natans ad natandum; et humiliabit gloriam ejus cum allisione manuum ejus.(vulgate) 11 ׃25 וּפֵרַ֤שׂ יָדָיו֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְפָרֵ֥שׂ הַשֹּׂחֶ֖ה לִשְׂח֑וֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל֙ גַּֽאֲוָת֔וֹ עִ֖ם אָרְבּ֥וֹת יָדָֽיו׃ Isaiah Isa 25:11 Und er wird seine Hände ausbreiten mitten unter sie, wie sie ein Schwimmer ausbreitet, zu schwimmen; und wird ihre Pracht erniedrigen mit den Armen seiner Hände(dhs) Isa 25:11 And He will spread out His hands in their midst As a swimmer reaches out to swim, And He will bring down their pride Together with the trickery of their hands.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:12 ============ Isa 25:12 The unassailable fortifications of your walls He will bring down, Lay low and cast to the ground, even to the dust.(nas) Isa 25:12 καὶ τὸ ὕψος τῆς καταφυγῆς τοῦ τοίχου σου ταπεινώσει καὶ καταβήσεται ἕως τοῦ ἐδάφους (lxx) Isa 25:12 Et munimenta sublimium murorum tuorum concident, et humiliabuntur, et detrahentur in terram usque ad pulverem.](vulgate) 12 ׃25 וּמִבְצַ֞ר מִשְׂגַּ֣ב חוֹמֹתֶ֗יךָ הֵשַׁ֥ח הִשְׁפִּ֛יל הִגִּ֥יעַ לָאָ֖רֶץ עַד־עָפָֽר׃ ס Isaiah Isa 25:12 und die hohen Festen eurer Mauern beugen, erniedrigen und in den Staub zu Boden werfen.(dhs) Isa 25:12 The fortress of the high fort of your walls He will bring down, lay low, And bring to the ground, down to the dust.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 26:1 ============ top of the page
