Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 14:1 ============ Eze 14:1 Then some elders of Israel came to me and sat down before me.(nas) Eze 14:1 καὶ ἦλθον πρός με ἄνδρες ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐκάθισαν πρὸ προσώπου μου (lxx) Eze 14:1 Et venerunt ad me viri seniorum Israël, et sederunt coram me.(vulgate) 1 ׃14 וַיָּב֤וֹא אֵלַי֙ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים מִזִּקְנֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ לְפָנָֽי׃ פ Ezekiel Eze 14:1 Und es kamen etliche von den Ältesten Israels zu mir und setzten sich vor mir.(dhs) Eze 14:1 Now some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:2 ============ Eze 14:2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nas) Eze 14:2 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 14:2 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) 2 ׃14 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:2 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 14:2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:3 ============ Eze 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity. Should I be consulted by them at all?(nas) Eze 14:3 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου οἱ ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἔθεντο τὰ διανοήματα αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν ἔθηκαν πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν εἰ ἀποκρινόμενος ἀποκριθῶ αὐτοῖς (lxx) Eze 14:3 Fili hominis, viri isti posuerunt immunditias suas in cordibus suis, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerunt contra faciem suam: numquid interrogatus respondebo eis?(vulgate) 3 ׃14 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ הֶעֱל֤וּ גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙ עַל־לִבָּ֔ם וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עֲוֺנָ֔ם נָתְנ֖וּ נֹ֣כַח פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם הַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁ אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ לָהֶֽם׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:3 Menschenkind, diese Leute hangen mit ihrem Herzen an ihren Götzen und halten an dem Anstoß zu ihrer Missetat; sollte ich denn ihnen antworten, wenn sie mich fragen?(dhs) Eze 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:4 ============ Eze 14:4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,(nas) Eze 14:4 διὰ τοῦτο λάλησον αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ ὃς ἂν θῇ τὰ διανοήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην ἐγὼ κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν οἷς ἐνέχεται ἡ διάνοια αὐτοῦ (lxx) Eze 14:4 Propter hoc loquere eis, et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Homo, homo de domo Israël, qui posuerit immunditias suas in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam interrogans per eum me: ego Dominus respondebo ei in multitudine immunditiarum suarum,(vulgate) 4 ׃14 לָכֵ֣ן דַּבֵּר־א֠וֹתָם וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אִ֣ישׁ אִ֣ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל אֲשֶׁר֩ יַעֲלֶ֨ה אֶת־גִּלּוּלָ֜יו אֶל־לִבּ֗וֹ וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל עֲוֺנוֹ֙ יָשִׂים֙ נֹ֣כַח פָּנָ֔יו וּבָ֖א אֶל־הַנָּבִ֑יא אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֗ה נַעֲנֵ֧יתִי ל֦וֹ *בה **בָ֖א בְּרֹ֥ב גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:4 Darum rede mit ihnen und sage zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Welcher Mensch vom Hause Israel mit dem Herzen an seinen Götzen hängt und hält an dem Anstoß zu seiner Missetat und kommt zum Propheten, dem will ich, der HERR, antworten, wie er verdient hat mit seiner großen Abgötterei,(dhs) Eze 14:4 Therefore speak to them, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:5 ============ Eze 14:5 in order to lay hold of the hearts of the house of Israel who are estranged from Me through all their idols."'(nas) Eze 14:5 ὅπως πλαγιάσῃ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ κατὰ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν τὰς ἀπηλλοτριωμένας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν τοῖς ἐνθυμήμασιν αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 14:5 ut capiatur domus Israël in corde suo, quo recesserunt a me in cunctis idolis suis.(vulgate) 5 ׃14 לְמַ֛עַן תְּפֹ֥שׂ אֶת־בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּלִבָּ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָזֹ֙רוּ֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם כֻּלָּֽם׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:5 auf daß ich das Haus Israel fasse an ihrem Herzen, darum daß sie alle von mir gewichen sind durch ihre Abgötterei.(dhs) Eze 14:5 that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols." '(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:6 ============ Eze 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Repent and turn away from your idols and turn your faces away from all your abominations.(nas) Eze 14:6 διὰ τοῦτο εἰπὸν πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἐπιστράφητε καὶ ἀποστρέψατε ἀπὸ τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀσεβειῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπιστρέψατε τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν (lxx) Eze 14:6 Propterea dic ad domum Israël: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Convertimini, et recedite ab idolis vestris, et ab universis contaminationibus vestris avertite facies vestras.(vulgate) 6 ׃14 לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר ׀ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה שׁ֣וּבוּ וְהָשִׁ֔יבוּ מֵעַ֖ל גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם וּמֵעַ֥ל כָּל־תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם הָשִׁ֥יבוּ פְנֵיכֶֽם׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:6 Darum sollst du zum Hause Israel sagen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Kehret und wendet euch von eurer Abgötterei und wendet euer Angesicht von allen euren Greueln.(dhs) Eze 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:7 ============ Eze 14:7 For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me for himself, I the Lord will be brought to answer him in My own person.(nas) Eze 14:7 διότι ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ ἐκ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν προσηλυτευόντων ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ ὃς ἂν ἀπαλλοτριωθῇ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ θῆται τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην τοῦ ἐπερωτῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐν ἐμοί ἐγὼ κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν ᾧ ἐνέχεται ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) Eze 14:7 Quia homo, homo de domo Israël, et de proselytis quicumque advena fuerit in Israël, si alienatus fuerit a me, et posuerit idola sua in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam ut interroget per eum me: ego Dominus respondebo ei per me:(vulgate) 7 ׃14 כִּי֩ אִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמֵהַגֵּר֮ אֲשֶׁר־יָג֣וּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וְיִנָּזֵ֣ר מֵֽאַחֲרַ֗י וְיַ֤עַל גִּלּוּלָיו֙ אֶל־לִבּ֔וֹ וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עֲוֺנ֔וֹ יָשִׂ֖ים נֹ֣כַח פָּנָ֑יו וּבָ֤א אֶל־הַנָּבִיא֙ לִדְרָשׁ־ל֣וֹ בִ֔י אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה נַֽעֲנֶה־לּ֖וֹ בִּֽי׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:7 Denn welcher Mensch vom Hause Israel oder welcher Fremdling, so in Israel wohnt, von mir weicht und mit seinem Herzen an seinen Götzen hängt und an dem Ärgernis seiner Abgötterei hält und zum Propheten kommt, daß er durch ihn mich frage: dem will ich, der HERR, selbst antworten;(dhs) Eze 14:7 For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the Lord will answer him by Myself.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:8 ============ Eze 14:8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among My people. So you will know that I am the Lord.(nas) Eze 14:8 καὶ στηριῶ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπὶ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκεῖνον καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὸν εἰς ἔρημον καὶ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ ἐξαρῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος (lxx) Eze 14:8 et ponam faciem meam super hominem illum, et faciam eum in exemplum et in proverbium, et disperdam eum de medio populi mei: et scietis quia ego Dominus.(vulgate) 8 ׃14 וְנָתַתִּ֨י פָנַ֜י בָּאִ֣ישׁ הַה֗וּא וַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֙יהוּ֙ לְא֣וֹת וְלִמְשָׁלִ֔ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֖יו מִתּ֣וֹךְ עַמִּ֑י וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס Ezekiel Eze 14:8 und will mein Angesicht wider ihn setzen, daß er soll wüst und zum Zeichen und Sprichwort werden, und ich will ihn aus meinem Volk ausrotten, daß ihr erfahren sollt, ich sei der HERR.(dhs) Eze 14:8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:9 ============ Eze 14:9 "But if the prophet is prevailed upon to speak a word, it is I, the Lord, who have prevailed upon that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.(nas) Eze 14:9 καὶ ὁ προφήτης ἐὰν πλανηθῇ καὶ λαλήσῃ ἐγὼ κύριος πεπλάνηκα τὸν προφήτην ἐκεῖνον καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ ἀφανιῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου Ισραηλ (lxx) Eze 14:9 Et propheta cum erraverit, et locutus fuerit verbum, ego Dominus decepi prophetam illum, et extendam manum meam super illum, et delebo eum de medio populi mei Israël.(vulgate) 9 ׃14 וְהַנָּבִ֤יא כִֽי־יְפֻתֶּה֙ וְדִבֶּ֣ר דָּבָ֔ר אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ פִּתֵּ֔יתִי אֵ֖ת הַנָּבִ֣יא הַה֑וּא וְנָטִ֤יתִי אֶת־יָדִי֙ עָלָ֔יו וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יו מִתּ֖וֹךְ עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:9 Wo aber ein Prophet sich betören läßt, etwas zu reden, den habe ich, der HERR, betört, und will meine Hand über ihn ausstrecken und ihn aus meinem Volk Israel ausrotten.(dhs) Eze 14:9 And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I the Lord have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:10 ============ Eze 14:10 They will bear the punishment of their iniquity; as the iniquity of the inquirer is, so the iniquity of the prophet will be,(nas) Eze 14:10 καὶ λήμψονται τὴν ἀδικίαν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα τοῦ ἐπερωτῶντος καὶ κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα ὁμοίως τῷ προφήτῃ ἔσται (lxx) Eze 14:10 Et portabunt iniquitatem suam: juxta iniquitatem interrogantis, sic iniquitas prophetæ erit:(vulgate) 10 ׃14 וְנָשְׂא֖וּ עֲוֺנָ֑ם כַּֽעֲוֺן֙ הַדֹּרֵ֔שׁ כַּעֲוֺ֥ן הַנָּבִ֖יא יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:10 Also sollen sie beide ihre Missetat tragen; wie die Missetat des Fragers, also soll auch sein die Missetat des Propheten,(dhs) Eze 14:10 And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:11 ============ Eze 14:11 in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their transgressions. Thus they will be My people, and I shall be their God,"' declares the Lord God."(nas) Eze 14:11 ὅπως μὴ πλανᾶται ἔτι ὁ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἵνα μὴ μιαίνωνται ἔτι ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς παραπτώμασιν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν λέγει κύριος (lxx) Eze 14:11 ut non erret ultra domus Israël a me, neque polluatur in universis prævaricationibus suis: sed sint mihi in populum, et ego sim eis in Deum, ait Dominus exercituum.~(vulgate) 11 ׃14 לְ֠מַען לֹֽא־יִתְע֨וּ ע֤וֹד בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י וְלֹֽא־יִטַּמְּא֥וּ ע֖וֹד בְּכָל־פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם וְהָ֥יוּ לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם וַֽאֲנִי֙ אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ פ Ezekiel Eze 14:11 auf daß das Haus Israel nicht mehr irregehe von mir und sich nicht mehr verunreinige in aller seiner Übertretung; sondern sie sollen mein Volk sein, und ich will ihr Gott sein, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Eze 14:11 that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me, nor be profaned anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be My people and I may be their God," says the Lord God.' "(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:12 ============ Eze 14:12 Then the word of the Lord came to me saying,(nas) Eze 14:12 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 14:12 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) 12 ׃14 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:12 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 14:12 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:13 ============ Eze 14:13 "Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, and I stretch out My hand against it, destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast,(nas) Eze 14:13 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου γῆ ἐὰν ἁμάρτῃ μοι τοῦ παραπεσεῖν παράπτωμα καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ συντρίψω αὐτῆς στήριγμα ἄρτου καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν λιμὸν καὶ ἐξαρῶ ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτήνη (lxx) Eze 14:13 [Fili hominis, terra cum peccaverit mihi, ut prævaricetur prævaricans, extendam manum meam super eam, et conteram virgam panis ejus, et immittam in eam famem, et interficiam de ea hominem et jumentum.(vulgate) 13 ׃14 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם אֶ֚רֶץ כִּ֤י תֶחֱטָא־לִי֙ לִמְעָל־מַ֔עַל וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי לָ֖הּ מַטֵּה־לָ֑חֶם וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־בָ֣הּ רָעָ֔ב וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:13 Du Menschenkind, wenn ein Land an mir sündigt und dazu mich verschmäht, so will ich meine Hand über dasselbe ausstrecken und den Vorrat des Brotes wegnehmen und will Teuerung hineinschicken, daß ich Menschen und Vieh darin ausrotte.(dhs) Eze 14:13 "Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:14 ============ Eze 14:14 even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord God.(nas) Eze 14:14 καὶ ἐὰν ὦσιν οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς Νωε καὶ Δανιηλ καὶ Ιωβ αὐτοὶ ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ αὐτῶν σωθήσονται λέγει κύριος (lxx) Eze 14:14 Et si fuerint tres viri isti in medio ejus, Noë, Daniel, et Job, ipsi justitia sua liberabunt animas suas, ait Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) 14 ׃14 וְ֠הָיוּ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ נֹ֖חַ *דנאל **דָּנִיֵּ֣אל וְאִיּ֑וֹב הֵ֤מָּה בְצִדְקָתָם֙ יְנַצְּל֣וּ נַפְשָׁ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:14 Und wenn dann gleich die drei Männer Noah, Daniel und Hiob darin wären, so würden sie allein ihre eigene Seele erretten durch ihre Gerechtigkeit, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Eze 14:14 Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness," says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:15 ============ Eze 14:15 "If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would pass through it because of the beasts,(nas) Eze 14:15 ἐὰν καὶ θηρία πονηρὰ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τιμωρήσομαι αὐτὴν καὶ ἔσται εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ διοδεύων ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν θηρίων (lxx) Eze 14:15 Quod si et bestias pessimas induxero super terram ut vastem eam, et fuerit invia, eo quod non sit pertransiens propter bestias:(vulgate) 15 ׃14 לֽוּ־חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה אַעֲבִ֥יר בָּאָ֖רֶץ וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה וְהָיְתָ֤ה שְׁמָמָה֙ מִבְּלִ֣י עוֹבֵ֔ר מִפְּנֵ֖י הַחַיָּֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:15 Und wenn ich böse Tiere in das Land bringen würde, die die Leute aufräumten und es verwüsteten, daß niemand darin wandeln könnte vor den Tieren,(dhs) Eze 14:15 "If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate that no man may pass through because of the beasts,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:16 ============ Eze 14:16 though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the country would be desolate.(nas) Eze 14:16 καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ὦσι ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος εἰ υἱοὶ ἢ θυγατέρες σωθήσονται ἀλλ᾽ ἢ αὐτοὶ μόνοι σωθήσονται ἡ δὲ γῆ ἔσται εἰς ὄλεθρον (lxx) Eze 14:16 tres viri isti si fuerint in ea, vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quia nec filios nec filias liberabunt, sed ipsi soli liberabuntur, terra autem desolabitur.(vulgate) 16 ׃14 שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־בָּנִ֥ים וְאִם־בָּנ֖וֹת יַצִּ֑ילוּ הֵ֤מָּה לְבַדָּם֙ יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ וְהָאָ֖רֶץ תִּהְיֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:16 und diese drei Männer wären auch darin: so wahr ich lebe, spricht der HERR HERR, sie würden weder Söhne noch Töchter erretten, sondern allein sich selbst, und das Land müßte öde werden.(dhs) Eze 14:16 even though these three men were in it, as I live," says the Lord God, "they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; only they would be delivered, and the land would be desolate.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:17 ============ Eze 14:17 Or if I should bring a sword on that country and say, 'Let the sword pass through the country and cut off man and beast from it, '(nas) Eze 14:17 ἢ καὶ ῥομφαίαν ἐὰν ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην καὶ εἴπω ῥομφαία διελθάτω διὰ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐξαρῶ ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος (lxx) Eze 14:17 Vel si gladium induxero super terram illam, et dixero gladio: Transi per terram: et interfecero de ea hominem et jumentum,(vulgate) 17 ׃14 א֛וֹ חֶ֥רֶב אָבִ֖יא עַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י חֶ֚רֶב תַּעֲבֹ֣ר בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:17 Oder ob ich das Schwert kommen ließe über das Land und spräche: Schwert, fahre durch das Land! und würde also Menschen und Vieh ausrotten,(dhs) Eze 14:17 "Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, 'Sword, go through the land,' and I cut off man and beast from it,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:18 ============ Eze 14:18 even though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters, but they alone would be delivered.(nas) Eze 14:18 καὶ οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος οὐ μὴ ῥύσωνται υἱοὺς οὐδὲ θυγατέρας αὐτοὶ μόνοι σωθήσονται (lxx) Eze 14:18 et tres viri isti fuerint in medio ejus: vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, non liberabunt filios neque filias, sed ipsi soli liberabuntur.(vulgate) 18 ׃14 וּשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵלֶּה֮ בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה לֹ֥א יַצִּ֖ילוּ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֑וֹת כִּ֛י הֵ֥ם לְבַדָּ֖ם יִנָּצֵֽלוּ׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:18 und die drei Männer wären darin: so wahr ich lebe, spricht der HERR HERR, sie würden weder Söhne noch Töchter erretten, sondern sie allein würden errettet sein.(dhs) Eze 14:18 even though these three men were in it, as I live," says the Lord God, "they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but only they themselves would be delivered.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:19 ============ Eze 14:19 Or if I should send a plague against that country and pour out My wrath in blood on it to cut off man and beast from it,(nas) Eze 14:19 ἢ καὶ θάνατον ἐπαποστείλω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην καὶ ἐκχεῶ τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ἐν αἵματι τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος (lxx) Eze 14:19 Si autem et pestilentiam immisero super terram illam, et effudero indignationem meam super eam in sanguine, ut auferam ex ea hominem et jumentum,(vulgate) 19 ׃14 א֛וֹ דֶּ֥בֶר אֲשַׁלַּ֖ח אֶל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֨י חֲמָתִ֤י עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ בְּדָ֔ם לְהַכְרִ֥ית מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:19 Oder so ich Pestilenz in das Land schicken und meinen Grimm über dasselbe ausschütten würde mit Blutvergießen, also daß ich Menschen und Vieh ausrottete,(dhs) Eze 14:19 "Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut off from it man and beast,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:20 ============ Eze 14:20 even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. Behold, they are going to come forth to you and you will see their conduct and actions; then you will be comforted for the calamity which I have brought against Jerusalem for everything which I have brought upon it.(nas) Eze 14:22 καὶ ἰδοὺ ὑπολελειμμένοι ἐν αὐτῇ οἱ ἀνασεσῳσμένοι αὐτῆς οἳ ἐξάγουσιν ἐξ αὐτῆς υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας ἰδοὺ αὐτοὶ ἐκπορεύονται πρὸς ὑμᾶς καὶ ὄψεσθε τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτῶν καὶ μεταμεληθήσεσθε ἐπὶ τὰ κακά ἃ ἐπήγαγον ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ πάντα τὰ κακὰ ἃ ἐπήγαγον ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν (lxx) Eze 14:22 tamen relinquetur in ea salvatio educentium filios et filias: ecce ipsi ingredientur ad vos, et videbitis viam eorum et adinventiones eorum, et consolabimini super malo quod induxi in Jerusalem, in omnibus quæ importavi super eam.(vulgate) 22 ׃14 וְהִנֵּ֨ה נֽוֹתְרָה־בָּ֜הּ פְּלֵטָ֗ה הַֽמּוּצָאִים֮ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנוֹת֒ הִנָּם֙ יוֹצְאִ֣ים אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם וּרְאִיתֶ֥ם אֶת־דַּרְכָּ֖ם וְאֶת־עֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם וְנִחַמְתֶּ֗ם עַל־הָֽרָעָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ עַל־יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם אֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵבֵ֖אתִי עָלֶֽיהָ׃ Ezekiel Eze 14:22 siehe, so sollen etliche übrige darin davonkommen, die herausgebracht werden, Söhne und Töchter, und zu euch herkommen, daß ihr sehen werdet ihr Wesen und Tun und euch trösten über dem Unglück, das ich über Jerusalem habe kommen lassen samt allem andern, was ich über sie habe kommen lassen.(dhs) Eze 14:22 Yet behold, there shall be left in it a remnant who will be brought out, both sons and daughters; surely they will come out to you, and you will see their ways and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the disaster that I have brought upon Jerusalem, all that I have brought upon it.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:23 ============ Eze 14:23 Then they will comfort you when you see their conduct and actions, for you will know that I have not done in vain whatever I did to it," declares the Lord God.(nas) Eze 14:23 καὶ παρακαλέσουσιν ὑμᾶς διότι ὄψεσθε τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι οὐ μάτην πεποίηκα πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησα ἐν αὐτῇ λέγει κύριος (lxx) Eze 14:23 Et consolabuntur vos, cum videritis viam eorum et adinventiones eorum: et cognoscetis quod non frustra fecerim omnia quæ feci in ea, ait Dominus Deus.](vulgate) 23 ׃14 וְנִחֲמ֣וּ אֶתְכֶ֔ם כִּֽי־תִרְא֥וּ אֶת־דַּרְכָּ֖ם וְאֶת־עֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֗ם כִּי֩ לֹ֨א חִנָּ֤ם עָשִׂ֙יתִי֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֣יתִי בָ֔הּ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִֽה׃ פ Ezekiel Eze 14:23 Sie werden euer Trost sein, wenn ihr sehen werdet ihr Wesen und Tun; und ihr werdet erfahren, daß ich nicht ohne Ursache getan habe, was ich darin getan habe, spricht der HERR HERR.(dhs) Eze 14:23 And they will comfort you, when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have done nothing without cause that I have done in it," says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 15:1 ============ top of the page
