(Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:1 Filii, obedite parentibus vestris in Domino: hoc enim justum est.(vulgate) שִׁמְעוּ בָנִים בְּקוֹל יֹלְדֵיכֶם בַּאֲדֹנֵינוּ כִּי דָבָר יָשָׁר הוּא׃ א Ephesians Eph 6:1 Ihr Kinder, seid gehorsam euren Eltern in dem HERRN, denn das ist billig.(dhs) Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:2 ============ Eph 6:2 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise),(nas) Eph 6:2 τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα, ἥτις ἐστὶν ἐντολὴ πρώτη ἐν ἐπαγγελίᾳ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:2 Honora patrem tuum, et matrem tuam, quod est mandatum primum in promissione:(vulgate) כַּבֵּד אֶת־אָבִיךָ וְאֶת־אִמֶּךָ זֹאת הַמִּצְוָה הָרִאשֹׁנָה אֲשֶׁר שְׂכָרָהּ בְּצִדָּהּ׃ ב Ephesians Eph 6:2 "Ehre Vater und Mutter," das ist das erste Gebot, das Verheißung hat:(dhs) Eph 6:2 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise:(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:3 ============ Eph 6:3 SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.(nas) Eph 6:3 ἵνα εὗ σοι γένηται καὶ ἔσῃ μακροχρόνιος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:3 ut bene sit tibi, et sis longævus super terram.(vulgate) לְמַעַן יִיטַב לָךְ וּלְמַעַן יַאֲרִיכוּן יָמֶיךָ עַל־הָאֲדָמָה׃ ג Ephesians Eph 6:3 "auf daß dir's wohl gehe und du lange lebest auf Erden."(dhs) Eph 6:3 "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:4 ============ Eph 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.(nas) Eph 6:4 καὶ οἱ πατέρες, μὴ παροργίζετε τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν, ἀλλὰ ἐκτρέφετε αὐτὰ ἐν παιδείᾳ καὶ νουθεσίᾳ κυρίου. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:4 Et vos patres, nolite ad iracundiam provocare filios vestros: sed educate illos in disciplina et correptione Domini.~(vulgate) וְהָאָבוֹת אַל־תָּעִירוּ חֲמַת בְּנֵיכֶם כִּי אִם־תְּגַדְּלוּם בְּמוּסַר אֲדֹנֵינוּ וּבְתוֹכַחְתּוֹ׃ ד Ephesians Eph 6:4 Und ihr Väter, reizet eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern zieht sie auf in der Vermahnung zum HERRN.(dhs) Eph 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:5 ============ Eph 6:5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;(nas) Eph 6:5 οἱ δοῦλοι, ὑπακούετε τοῖς κατὰ σάρκα κυρίοις μετὰ φόβου καὶ τρόμου ἐν ἁπλότητι τῆς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς τῶ χριστῶ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:5 Servi, obedite dominis carnalibus cum timore et tremore, in simplicitate cordis vestri, sicut Christo:(vulgate) וְאַתֶּם עֲבָדִים הַקְשִׁיבוּ לְקוֹל אֲדֹנֵיכֶם אֲדֹנֵי גְוִיַּתְכֶם בְּיִרְאָה וּרְעָדָה וּבְתָם־לֵב כְּמוֹ לַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ ה Ephesians Eph 6:5 Ihr Knechte, seid gehorsam euren leiblichen Herren mit Furcht und Zittern, in Einfalt eures Herzens, als Christo;(dhs) Eph 6:5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:6 ============ Eph 6:6 not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.(nas) Eph 6:6 μὴ κατ᾽ ὀφθαλμοδουλίαν ὡς ἀνθρωπάρεσκοι ἀλλ᾽ ὡς δοῦλοι χριστοῦ ποιοῦντες τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ ἐκ ψυχῆς, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:6 non ad oculum servientes, quasi hominibus placentes, sed ut servi Christi, facientes voluntatem Dei ex animo,(vulgate) וְלֹא בַעֲבֹדָה לְמַרְאֵה עֵינַיִם לְהָפִיק רָצוֹן מִבְּנֵי אָדָם כִּי אִם־כְּעַבְדֵי הַמָּשִׁיחַ הָעֹשִׂים רְצוֹן אֱלֹהִים בְּכָל־נַפְשָׁם׃ ו Ephesians Eph 6:6 nicht mit Dienst allein vor Augen, als den Menschen zu gefallen, sondern als die Knechte Christi, daß ihr solchen Willen Gottes tut von Herzen, mit gutem Willen.(dhs) Eph 6:6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:7 ============ Eph 6:7 With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men,(nas) Eph 6:7 μετ᾽ εὐνοίας δουλεύοντες, ὡς τῶ κυρίῳ καὶ οὐκ ἀνθρώποις, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:7 cum bona voluntate servientes, sicut Domino, et non hominibus:(vulgate) וְעֹבְדִים מִטּוּב לֵב כְּעֹבְדֵי אֲדֹנֵינוּ וְלֹא כְּעֹבְדֵי אֲנָשִׁים׃ ז Ephesians Eph 6:7 Lasset euch dünken, daß ihr dem HERRN dienet und nicht den Menschen,(dhs) Eph 6:7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:8 ============ Eph 6:8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.(nas) Eph 6:8 εἰδότες ὅτι ἕκαστος, ἐάν τι ποιήσῃ ἀγαθόν, τοῦτο κομίσεται παρὰ κυρίου, εἴτε δοῦλος εἴτε ἐλεύθερος. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:8 scientes quoniam unusquisque quodcumque fecerit bonum, hoc recipiet a Domino, sive servus, sive liber.(vulgate) הֲלֹא יְדַעְתֶּם כָּל־דָּבָר טוֹב אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂה אֹתוֹ הָאָדָם אֲדֹנֵינוּ יְשַׁלֶּם־לוֹ אִם־עֶבֶד הוּא אוֹ בֶן־חוֹרִים׃ ח Ephesians Eph 6:8 und wisset: Was ein jeglicher Gutes tun wird, das wird er von dem HERRN empfangen, er sei ein Knecht oder ein Freier.(dhs) Eph 6:8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:9 ============ Eph 6:9 And masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.(nas) Eph 6:9 καὶ οἱ κύριοι, τὰ αὐτὰ ποιεῖτε πρὸς αὐτούς, ἀνιέντες τὴν ἀπειλήν, εἰδότες ὅτι καὶ αὐτῶν καὶ ὑμῶν ὁ κύριός ἐστιν ἐν οὐρανοῖς, καὶ προσωπολημψία οὐκ ἔστιν παρ᾽ αὐτῶ. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:9 Et vos domini, eadem facite illis, remittentes minas: scientes quia et illorum et vester Dominus est in cælis: et personarum acceptio non est apud eum.~(vulgate) וְגַם־אַתֶּם אֲדֹנִים כֵּן תַּעֲשׂוּ לָהֶם חִדְלוּ מִגְּעָר־בָּם בַּאֲשֶׁר יְדַעְתֶּם כִּי גַם־לָהֶם וְלָכֶם אָדוֹן בַּשָּׁמַיִם אֲשֶׁר אֵין עִמּוֹ מַשּׂוֹא פָנִים׃ ט Ephesians Eph 6:9 Und ihr Herren, tut auch dasselbe gegen sie und lasset das Drohen; wisset, daß auch euer HERR im Himmel ist und ist bei ihm kein Ansehen der Person.(dhs) Eph 6:9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:10 ============ Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.(nas) Eph 6:10 τοῦ λοιποῦ ἐνδυναμοῦσθε ἐν κυρίῳ καὶ ἐν τῶ κράτει τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:10 De cetero, fratres, confortamini in Domino, et in potentia virtutis ejus.(vulgate) וְיֶתֶר הַדְּבָרִים אֶחָי הִנְנִי אֹמֵר הִתְעוֹדְדוּ בַאֲדֹנֵינוּ וּבְעֹז גְּבוּרָתוֹ׃ י Ephesians Eph 6:10 Zuletzt, meine Brüder, seid stark in dem HERRN und in der Macht seiner Stärke.(dhs) Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:11 ============ Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.(nas) Eph 6:11 ἐνδύσασθε τὴν πανοπλίαν τοῦ θεοῦ πρὸς τὸ δύνασθαι ὑμᾶς στῆναι πρὸς τὰς μεθοδείας τοῦ διαβόλου· (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:11 Induite vos armaturam Dei, ut possitis stare adversus insidias diaboli:(vulgate) חִגְרוּ כְלֵי־נֶשֶׁק אֱלֹהִים לְמַעַן תּוּכְל לָקוּם לִפְנֵי נִכְלֵי הַשָּׂטָן׃ יא Ephesians Eph 6:11 Ziehet an den Harnisch Gottes, daß ihr bestehen könnet gegen die listigen Anläufe des Teufels.(dhs) Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:12 ============ Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.(nas) Eph 6:12 ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμῖν ἡ πάλη πρὸς αἷμα καὶ σάρκα, ἀλλὰ πρὸς τὰς ἀρχάς, πρὸς τὰς ἐξουσίας, πρὸς τοὺς κοσμοκράτορας τοῦ σκότους τούτου, πρὸς τὰ πνευματικὰ τῆς πονηρίας ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:12 quoniam non est nobis colluctatio adversus carnem et sanguinem, sed adversus principes, et potestates, adversus mundi rectores tenebrarum harum, contra spiritualia nequitiæ, in cælestibus.(vulgate) כִּי לֹא עִם־בָּשָׂר וָדָם מִלְחָמָה לָנוּ אַךְ עִם־אַלּוּפִים וְאֵילִים שַׁלִּיטֵי אֶרֶץ מַאְפֵּלְיָה וּמַלְאֲכֵי רָעִים אֲשֶׁר בַּמְּרוֹמִים׃ יב Ephesians Eph 6:12 Denn wir haben nicht mit Fleisch und Blut zu kämpfen, sondern mit Fürsten und Gewaltigen, nämlich mit den Herren der Welt, die in der Finsternis dieser Welt herrschen, mit den bösen Geistern unter dem Himmel.(dhs) Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:13 ============ Eph 6:13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.(nas) Eph 6:13 διὰ τοῦτο ἀναλάβετε τὴν πανοπλίαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ἵνα δυνηθῆτε ἀντιστῆναι ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ πονηρᾷ καὶ ἅπαντα κατεργασάμενοι στῆναι. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:13 Propterea accipite armaturam Dei, ut possitis resistere in die malo, et in omnibus perfecti stare.(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן קְחוּ לָכֶם כְּלֵי־נֶשֶׁק אֱלֹהִים וְתוּכְלוּ לְהִתְיַצֵּב בִּפְנֵי הַקָּמִים עֲלֵיכֶם בְּיוֹם רָע וּלְהִשָּׁאֵר נִצָּבִים בִּכְלוֹת כָּל־קְרָב׃ יג Ephesians Eph 6:13 Um deswillen ergreifet den Harnisch Gottes, auf daß ihr an dem bösen Tage Widerstand tun und alles wohl ausrichten und das Feld behalten möget.(dhs) Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:14 ============ Eph 6:14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,(nas) Eph 6:14 στῆτε οὗν περιζωσάμενοι τὴν ὀσφὺν ὑμῶν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ, καὶ ἐνδυσάμενοι τὸν θώρακα τῆς δικαιοσύνης, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:14 State ergo succincti lumbos vestros in veritate, et induti loricam justitiæ,(vulgate) עִמְדוּ־נָא מָתְנֵיכֶם חֲגוּרֵי אֱמֶת וְשִׁרְיוֹן צֶדֶק לְבוּשְׁכֶם׃ יד Ephesians Eph 6:14 So stehet nun, umgürtet an euren Lenden mit Wahrheit und angezogen mit dem Panzer der Gerechtigkeit(dhs) Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:15 ============ Eph 6:15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;(nas) Eph 6:15 καὶ ὑποδησάμενοι τοὺς πόδας ἐν ἑτοιμασίᾳ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου τῆς εἰρήνης, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:15 et calceati pedes in præparatione Evangelii pacis,(vulgate) וּפְעָמֵיכֶם יָפוֹת בַּנְּעָלִים לְבַשֵּׂר בְּשׂרַת הַשָּׁלוֹם׃ טו Ephesians Eph 6:15 und an den Beinen gestiefelt, als fertig, zu treiben das Evangelium des Friedens.(dhs) Eph 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:16 ============ Eph 6:16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.(nas) Eph 6:16 ἐν πᾶσιν ἀναλαβόντες τὸν θυρεὸν τῆς πίστεως, ἐν ᾧ δυνήσεσθε πάντα τὰ βέλη τοῦ πονηροῦ [τὰ] πεπυρωμένα σβέσαι· (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:16 in omnibus sumentes scutum fidei, in quo possitis omnia tela nequissimi ignea extinguere:(vulgate) וּבַכֹּל עִרְכוּ מָגֵן הָאֱמוּנָה אֲשֶׁר תּוּכְּלוּ לְכַבּוֹת בּוֹ חִצִּים לֹהֲטִים מִיַּד הַצָּר׃ טז Ephesians Eph 6:16 Vor allen Dingen aber ergreifet den Schild des Glaubens, mit welchem ihr auslöschen könnt alle feurigen Pfeile des Bösewichtes;(dhs) Eph 6:16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:17 ============ Eph 6:17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.(nas) Eph 6:17 καὶ τὴν περικεφαλαίαν τοῦ σωτηρίου δέξασθε, καὶ τὴν μάχαιραν τοῦ πνεύματος, ὅ ἐστιν ῥῆμα θεοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:17 et galeam salutis assumite, et gladium spiritus (quod est verbum Dei),(vulgate) וְהִתְיַצְּבוּ בְכֹבַע הַיְשׁוּעָה וּבְחֶרֶב הָרוּחַ אֲשֶׁר הוּא דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים׃ יז Ephesians Eph 6:17 und nehmet den Helm des Heils und das Schwert des Geistes, welches ist das Wort Gottes.(dhs) Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:18 ============ Eph 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,(nas) Eph 6:18 διὰ πάσης προσευχῆς καὶ δεήσεως προσευχόμενοι ἐν παντὶ καιρῶ ἐν πνεύματι, καὶ εἰς αὐτὸ ἀγρυπνοῦντες ἐν πάσῃ προσκαρτερήσει καὶ δεήσει περὶ πάντων τῶν ἁγίων, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:18 per omnem orationem et obsecrationem orantes omni tempore in spiritu: et in ipso vigilantes in omni instantia et obsecratione pro omnibus sanctis:(vulgate) וְהִתְפַּלְּלוּ בְכָל־עֵת כָּל־תְּפִלָּה וּתְחִינָּה מִקֶּרֶב לֵב וָרוּחַ וְשֹׁקְדִים תִּהְיוּ לְהַעְתִּיר וּלְהִתְחַנֵּן בְּעַד כָּל־הַקְּדוֹשִׁים׃ יח Ephesians Eph 6:18 Und betet stets in allem Anliegen mit Bitten und Flehen im Geist, und wachet dazu mit allem Anhalten und Flehen für alle Heiligen(dhs) Eph 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:19 ============ Eph 6:19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,(nas) Eph 6:19 καὶ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ, ἵνα μοι δοθῇ λόγος ἐν ἀνοίξει τοῦ στόματός μου, ἐν παρρησίᾳ γνωρίσαι τὸ μυστήριον τοῦ εὐαγγελίου (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:19 et pro me, ut detur mihi sermo in apertione oris mei cum fiducia, notum facere mysterium Evangelii:(vulgate) וְגַם־בְּעַד נַפְשִׁי כִּי יוּשַׂם דָּבָר בְּפִי וְעֹז כִּי־אֶפְתַּח שְׂפָתַי לְהַגִּיד סוֹד הַבְּשׁרָה׃ יט Ephesians Eph 6:19 und für mich, auf daß mir gegeben werde das Wort mit freudigem Auftun meines Mundes, daß ich möge kundmachen das Geheimnis des Evangeliums,(dhs) Eph 6:19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:20 ============ Eph 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.(nas) Eph 6:20 ὑπὲρ οὖ πρεσβεύω ἐν ἁλύσει, ἵνα ἐν αὐτῶ παρρησιάσωμαι ὡς δεῖ με λαλῆσαι. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:20 pro quo legatione fungor in catena, ita ut in ipso audeam, prout oportet me loqui.~(vulgate) הַבְּשׁרָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מַלְאָכָהּ אָסוּר בִּכְבָלִים וּלְהִנָּתֶן־לִי לְמַלֵּל בְּיָד רָמָה כַּאֲשֶׁר נָכוֹן לִי׃ כ Ephesians Eph 6:20 dessen Bote ich bin in der Kette, auf daß ich darin freudig handeln möge und reden, wie sich's gebührt.(dhs) Eph 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:21 ============ Eph 6:21 But that you also may know about my circumstances, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you.(nas) Eph 6:21 ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε καὶ ὑμεῖς τὰ κατ᾽ ἐμέ, τί πράσσω, πάντα γνωρίσει ὑμῖν τυχικὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς ἀδελφὸς καὶ πιστὸς διάκονος ἐν κυρίῳ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 6:21 Ut autem et vos sciatis quæ circa me sunt, quid agam, omnia vobis nota faciet Tychicus, carissimus frater, et fidelis minister in Domino:(vulgate) אַךְ לְבַעֲבוּר תֵּדְעוּן מָה עִמָּדִי וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה הִנֵּה טוּכִיקוֹס הָאָח הָאָהוּב וְהַמְשָׁרֵת הַנֶּאֱמָן לַאֲדֹנֵינוּ יַגִּיד לָכֶם כֹּל׃ כא Ephesians Eph 6:21 Auf daß aber ihr auch wisset, wie es um mich steht und was ich schaffe, wird's euch alles kundtun Tychikus, mein lieber Bruder und getreuer Diener in dem HERRN,(dhs) Eph 6:21 But that you also may know my affairs and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you;(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 6:22 ============ Eph 6:22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts.(nas) Eph 6:22 ὃν ἔπεμψα πρὸς ὑμᾶς εἰς αὐτὸ τοῦτο ἵνα γνῶτε τὰ περὶ ἡμῶν καὶ παρακαλέσῃ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν.
