Eph 2:1 Et vos, cum essetis mortui delictis et peccatis vestris,(vulgate) גַּם־אַתֶּם אֲשֶׁר מֵתִים הֱיִיתֶם בְּפִשְׁעֵיכֶם וְחַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃ א Ephesians Eph 2:1 Und auch euch, da ihr tot waret durch Übertretungen und Sünden,(dhs) Eph 2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:2 ============ Eph 2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.(nas) Eph 2:2 ἐν αἷς ποτε περιεπατήσατε κατὰ τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ κόσμου τούτου, κατὰ τὸν ἄρχοντα τῆς ἐξουσίας τοῦ ἀέρος, τοῦ πνεύματος τοῦ νῦν ἐνεργοῦντος ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς τῆς ἀπειθείας· (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:2 in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum sæculum mundi hujus, secundum principem potestatis aëris hujus, spiritus, qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiæ,(vulgate) כִּי־בְאָרְחוֹתָם הֲלַכְתֶּם לְפָנִים כְּמִנְהַג בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וְכִרְצוֹן שַׂר חֵיל הָרוּחוֹת מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם הוּא הָרוּחַ הַמִּתְעוֹרֵר בְּלֵב בָּנִים לֹא־אָבוּ שְׁמוֹעַ׃ ב Ephesians Eph 2:2 in welchen ihr weiland gewandelt habt nach dem Lauf dieser Welt und nach dem Fürsten, der in der Luft herrscht, nämlich nach dem Geist, der zu dieser Zeit sein Werk hat in den Kindern des Unglaubens,(dhs) Eph 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:3 ============ Eph 2:3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.(nas) Eph 2:3 ἐν οἷς καὶ ἡμεῖς πάντες ἀνεστράφημέν ποτε ἐν ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις τῆς σαρκὸς ἡμῶν, ποιοῦντες τὰ θελήματα τῆς σαρκὸς καὶ τῶν διανοιῶν, καὶ ἤμεθα τέκνα φύσει ὀργῆς ὡς καὶ οἱ λοιποί· (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:3 in quibus et nos omnes aliquando conversati sumus in desideriis carnis nostræ, facientes voluntatem carnis et cogitationum, et eramus natura filii iræ, sicut et ceteri:(vulgate) וּכְמוֹהֶם גַּם־אֲנַחְנוּ רָדַפְנוּ תַאֲוֹת בְּשָׂרִים לְמַלֵּא מִשְׁאֲלוֹת הַבָּשָׂר וְהַלֵּב הָרָע עַד אֲשֶׁר־נִדְמִינוּ בְּדַרְכֵי חַיֵּינוּ לִשְׁאָר בָּנִים עוֹרְרֵי זָעַם׃ ג Ephesians Eph 2:3 unter welchen auch wir alle weiland unsern Wandel gehabt haben in den Lüsten unsers Fleisches und taten den Willen des Fleisches und der Vernunft und waren auch Kinder des Zorns von Natur, gleichwie auch die andern;(dhs) Eph 2:3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the Barmherzigkeit, durch seine große Liebe, damit er uns geliebt hat,(dhs) Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:5 ============ Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),(nas) Eph 2:5 καὶ ὄντας ἡμᾶς νεκροὺς τοῖς παραπτώμασιν συνεζωοποίησεν τῶ χριστῶ _ χάριτί ἐστε σεσῳσμένοι _ (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:5 et cum essemus mortui peccatis, convivificavit nos in Christo (cujus gratia estis salvati),(vulgate) הֶחֱיָנוּ עִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַ בִּהְיוֹתֵנוּ מֵתִים בַּפְּשָׁעִים וְאַךְ בַּחֶסֶד נוֹשַׁעְתֶּם׃ ה Ephesians Eph 2:5 da wir tot waren in den Sünden, hat er uns samt Christo lebendig gemacht (denn aus Gnade seid ihr with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,(nas) Eph 2:6 καὶ συνήγειρεν καὶ συνεκάθισεν ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:6 et conresuscitavit, et consedere fecit in cælestibus in Christo Jesu:(vulgate) כִּי הֲקִימָנוּ בְּיֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ וַיִּתֶּן־לָנוּ לָשֶׁבֶת עִמּוֹ בַּמָּרוֹם׃ ו Ephesians Eph 2:6 und hat uns samt ihm auferweckt und samt ihm in das himmlische Wesen gesetzt in Christo Jesu,(dhs) Eph 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:7 ============ Eph 2:7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.(nas) Eph 2:7 ἵνα ἐνδείξηται ἐν τοῖς αἰῶσιν τοῖς ἐπερχομένοις τὸ ὑπερβάλλον πλοῦτος τῆς χάριτος αὐτοῦ ἐν χρηστότητι ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:10 Ipsius enim sumus factura, creati in Christo Jesu in operibus bonis, quæ præparavit Deus ut in illis ambulemus.~(vulgate) כִּי אֲנַחְנוּ מַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו נוֹצַרְנוּ בְיֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ לְמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים אֲשֶׁר הֵכִין לָנוּ מִקֶּדֶם לָלֶכֶת בָּם׃ י Ephesians Eph 2:10 Denn wir sind sein Werk, geschaffen in Christo Jesu zu guten Werken, zu welchen Gott uns zuvor bereitet hat, daß wir darin wandeln sollen.(dhs) Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:11 ============ Eph 2:11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision" by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands--(nas) Eph 2:11 διὸ μνημονεύετε ὅτι ποτὲ ὑμεῖς τὰ ἔθνη ἐν σαρκί, οἱ λεγόμενοι ἀκροβυστία ὑπὸ τῆς λεγομένης περιτομῆς ἐν σαρκὶ χειροποιήτου, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:11 Propter quod memores estote quod aliquando vos gentes in carne, qui dicimini præputium ab ea quæ dicitur circumcisio in carne, manu facta:(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן זִכְרוּ זֹאת כִּי־גוֹיִם עַרְלֵי בָשָׂר הֱיִיתֶם לְפָנִים וְהַנִּקְרָאִים נִמּוֹלֵי בָשָׂר אֲשֶׁר הוּא מַעֲשֵׂה יָדַיִם קָרְאוּ לָכֶם עֲרֵלִים׃ יא Ephesians Eph 2:11 Darum gedenket daran, daß ihr, die ihr weiland nach dem Fleisch Heiden gewesen seid und die Unbeschnittenen genannt wurdet von denen, die genannt sind die Beschneidung nach dem Fleisch, die mit der Hand geschieht,(dhs) Eph 2:11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands--(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:12 ============ Eph 2:12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.(nas) Eph 2:12 ὅτι ἦτε τῶ καιρῶ ἐκείνῳ χωρὶς χριστοῦ, ἀπηλλοτριωμένοι τῆς πολιτείας τοῦ ἰσραὴλ καὶ ξένοι τῶν διαθηκῶν τῆς ἐπαγγελίας, ἐλπίδα μὴ ἔχοντες καὶ ἄθεοι ἐν τῶ κόσμῳ. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:13 Nunc autem in Christo Jesu, vos, qui aliquando eratis longe, facti estis prope in sanguine Christi.(vulgate) אַךְ בְּיֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ אַתֶּם הָרְחֹקִים מֵאָז נִקְרַבְתֶּם כַּיּוֹם בְּדַם הַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ יג Ephesians Eph 2:13 Nun aber seid ihr, die ihr in Christo Jesu seid und weiland ferne gewesen, nahe geworden durch das Blut Christi.(dhs) Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:14 ============ Eph 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,(nas) Eph 2:14 αὐτὸς γάρ ἐστιν ἡ εἰρήνη ἡμῶν, ὁ ποιήσας τὰ ἀμφότερα ἓν καὶ τὸ μεσότοιχον τοῦ φραγμοῦ λύσας, τὴν ἔχθραν, ἐν τῇ σαρκὶ αὐτοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:14 Ipse enim est pax nostra, qui fecit utraque unum, et medium parietem maceriæ solvens, inimicitias in carne sua,(vulgate) כִּי הוּא שְׁלוֹמֵנוּ אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה שְׁנַיִם לְאֶחָד וְאֶת־הַקִּיר הַמַּבְדִּיל בֵּינֵינוּ הָרָס׃ יד Ephesians Eph 2:14 Denn er ist unser Friede, der aus beiden eines hat gemacht und hat abgebrochen den Zaun, der dazwischen war, indem er durch sein Fleisch wegnahm die Feindschaft,(dhs) Eph 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:15 ============ Eph 2:15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,(nas) Eph 2:15 τὸν νόμον τῶν ἐντολῶν ἐν δόγμασιν καταργήσας, ἵνα τοὺς δύο κτίσῃ ἐν αὐτῶ εἰς ἕνα καινὸν ἄνθρωπον ποιῶν εἰρήνην, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:15 legem mandatorum decretis evacuans, ut duos condat in semetipso in unum novum hominem, faciens pacem:(vulgate) כִּי־בִבְשָׂרוֹ מָחָה אֶת־הָאֵיבָה וְאֶת־מִצְוֹת הַחֻקִּים בַּתּוֹרָה וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁנַיִם לְאִישׁ־אֶחָד חָדָשׁ בְּנַפְשׁוֹ וּבָזֹאת עָשָׂה לָנוּ שָׁלוֹם׃ טו Ephesians Eph 2:15 nämlich das Gesetz, so in Geboten gestellt war, auf daß er aus zweien einen neuen Menschen in ihm selber schüfe und Frieden machte,(dhs) Eph 2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:16 ============ Eph 2:16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.(nas) Eph 2:16 καὶ ἀποκαταλλάξῃ τοὺς ἀμφοτέρους ἐν ἑνὶ σώματι τῶ θεῶ διὰ τοῦ σταυροῦ, ἀποκτείνας τὴν ἔχθραν ἐν αὐτῶ. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:16 et reconciliet ambos in uno corpore, Deo per crucem, interficiens inimicitias in semetipso.(vulgate) כִּי עַל־הַצְּלִיב הִשְׁלִים שְׁנֵיהֶם בְּגֵו אֶחָד אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִים וַיִּמַח אֶת־הָאֵיבָה בְּנַפְשׁוֹ׃ טז Ephesians Eph 2:16 und daß er beide versöhnte mit Gott in einem Leibe durch das Kreuz und hat die Feindschaft getötet durch sich selbst.(dhs) Eph 2:16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:17 ============ Eph 2:17 AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;(nas) Eph 2:17 καὶ ἐλθὼν εὐηγγελίσατο εἰρήνην ὑμῖν τοῖς μακρὰν καὶ εἰρήνην τοῖς ἐγγύς· (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:17 Et veniens evangelizavit pacem vobis, qui longe fuistis, et pacem iis, qui prope.(vulgate) וַיָּבֹא וַיְבַשֵּׂר שָׁלוֹם לָרְחוֹקִים וְשָׁלוֹם לַקְּרוֹבִים׃ יז Ephesians Eph 2:17 Und er ist gekommen, hat verkündigt im Evangelium den Frieden euch, die ihr ferne waret, und denen, die nahe waren;(dhs) Eph 2:17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:18 ============ Eph 2:18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.(nas) Eph 2:18 ὅτι δι᾽ αὐτοῦ ἔχομεν τὴν προσαγωγὴν οἱ ἀμφότεροι ἐν ἑνὶ πνεύματι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα. (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:18 Quoniam per ipsum habemus accessum ambo in uno Spiritu ad Patrem.(vulgate) כִּי־בוֹ נִפְתַּח לִשְׁנֵינוּ מָבוֹא לָגֶשֶׁת בְּרוּחַ אֶחָד אֶל־אָבִינוּ׃ יח Ephesians Eph 2:18 denn durch ihn haben wir den Zugang alle beide in einem Geiste zum Vater.(dhs) Eph 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:19 ============ Eph 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household,(nas) Eph 2:19 ἄρα οὗν οὐκέτι ἐστὲ ξένοι καὶ πάροικοι, ἀλλὰ ἐστὲ συμπολῖται τῶν ἁγίων καὶ οἰκεῖοι τοῦ θεοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:19 Ergo jam non estis hospites, et advenæ: sed estis cives sanctorum, et domestici Dei,(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן אֵינְכֶם עוֹד גֵּרִים וְתוֹשָׁבִים כִּי אִם־אֶזְרְחֵי הָעִיר בְּקֶרֶב הַקְּדוֹשִׁים וּבְנֵי בֵית הָאֱלֹהִים׃ יט Ephesians Eph 2:19 So seid ihr nun nicht mehr Gäste und Fremdlinge, sondern Bürger mit den Heiligen und Gottes Hausgenossen,(dhs) Eph 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:20 ============ Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,(nas) Eph 2:20 ἐποικοδομηθέντες ἐπὶ τῶ θεμελίῳ τῶν ἀποστόλων καὶ προφητῶν, ὄντος ἀκρογωνιαίου αὐτοῦ χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:20 superædificati super fundamentum apostolorum, et prophetarum, ipso summo angulari lapide Christo Jesu:(vulgate) בְּנוּיִים עַל־מוֹסְדוֹת הַשְּׁלִיחִים וְהַנְּבִיאִים שֶׁשָּׁם יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ הָיָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּה׃ כ Ephesians Eph 2:20 erbaut auf den Grund der Apostel und Propheten, da Jesus Christus der Eckstein ist,(dhs) Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:21 ============ Eph 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,(nas) Eph 2:21 ἐν ᾧ πᾶσα οἰκοδομὴ συναρμολογουμένη αὔξει εἰς ναὸν ἅγιον ἐν κυρίῳ, (Nestle-Aland) Eph 2:21 in quo omnis ædificatio constructa crescit in templum sanctum in Domino,(vulgate) וּבוֹ כָּל־הַבִּנְיָן חֻבָּר וַיִּגְדַּל לְהֵיכַל קָדוֹשׁ בַּיהוָֹה׃ כא Ephesians Eph 2:21 auf welchem der ganze Bau ineinandergefügt wächst zu einem heiligen Tempel in dem HERRN,(dhs) Eph 2:21 in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Ephesians 2:22 ============ Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.(nas) Eph 2:22 ἐν ᾧ καὶ ὑμεῖς συνοικοδομεῖσθε εἰς κατοικητήριον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν πνεύματι.
