(Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:2 senes ut sobrii sint, pudici, prudentes, sani in fide, in dilectione, in patientia:(vulgate) דַבֵּר אֶל־הַזְּקֵנִים כִּי יִפְקְחוּ עַיִן עַל־דַּרְכֵיהֶם לִהְיוֹת כְּבוּדִים מְאֻשָּׁרִים וּשְׁלֵמִים בָּאֱמוּנָה בְּאַהֲבָה וּבְכֹחַ הַסַּבָּל׃ ב Titus Tit 2:2 den Alten sage, daß sie nüchtern seien, ehrbar, züchtig, gesund im Glauben, in der Liebe, in der Geduld;(dhs) Tit 2:2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience;(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:3 ============ Tit 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,(nas) Tit 2:3 πρεσβύτιδας ὡσαύτως ἐν καταστήματι ἱεροπρεπεῖς, μὴ διαβόλους μηδὲ οἴνῳ πολλῶ δεδουλωμένας, καλοδιδασκάλους, (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:3 anus similiter in habitu sancto, non criminatrices, non multo vino servientes, bene docentes:(vulgate) וְכֵן גַּם־אֶל־הַזְּקֵנוֹת לִפַלֵּס הֲלִיכוֹתֵיהֶן כְּמִשְׁפָּט לַהֲלִיכוֹת נָשִׁים בַּקֹּדֶשׁ לֹא לְהַלְשִׁין בִּלְשׁוֹנָן וְלֹא לִמְשׁוֹךְ בַּיַּיִן אֶת־בְּשָׂרָן כִּי אִם־לְהוֹרֹת אֹרַח טוֹב׃ ג Titus Tit 2:3 den alten Weibern desgleichen, daß sie sich halten wie den Heiligen ziemt, nicht Lästerinnen seien, nicht Weinsäuferinnen, gute Lehrerinnen;(dhs) Tit 2:3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things--(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:4 ============ Tit 2:4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,(nas) Tit 2:4 ἵνα σωφρονίζωσιν τὰς νέας φιλάνδρους εἶναι, φιλοτέκνους, (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:4 ut prudentiam doceant adolescentulas, ut viros suos ament, filios suos diligant,(vulgate) לְאַשֵּׁר אֶת־הַנָּשִׁים הַצְּעִירוֹת לְאַהֲבָה אֶת־בַּעֲלֵיהֶן וְאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶן׃ ד Titus Tit 2:4 daß sie die jungen Weiber lehren züchtig sein, ihre Männer lieben, Kinder lieben,(dhs) Tit 2:4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:5 ============ Tit 2:5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.(nas) Tit 2:5 σώφρονας, ἁγνάς, οἰκουργούς ἀγαθάς, ὑποτασσομένας τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν, ἵνα μὴ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ βλασφημῆται. (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:5 prudentes, castas, sobrias, domus curam habentes, benignas, subditas viris suis, ut non blasphemetur verbum Dei.(vulgate) לְהַצְנַע לֶכֶת לְזַּכּוֹת אֶת־אָרְחָן וְלַעֲשׂוֹת מְלַאכְתָּן בְּבֵיתָן ולִהְיוֹת טוֹבוֹת וְנִכְנָעוֹת תַּחַת יְדֵי בַעֲלֵיהֶן לְבִלְתִּי יִנָּתֵן דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים לְגִדּוּפִים׃ ה Titus Tit 2:5 sittig sein, keusch, häuslich, gütig, ihren Männern untertan, auf daß nicht das Wort Gottes verlästert werde.(dhs) Tit 2:5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:6 ============ Tit 2:6 Likewise urge the young men to be sensible;(nas) Tit 2:6 τοὺς νεωτέρους ὡσαύτως παρακάλει σωφρονεῖν· (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:6 Juvenes similiter hortare ut sobrii sint.(vulgate) וְגַם עַל־הָאֲנָשִׁים הַצְּעִירִים תְּצַוֶּה לֵאמֹר כִּי יְיַשְּׁרוּן אָרְחוֹתָם׃ ו Titus Tit 2:6 Desgleichen die jungen Männer ermahne, daß sie züchtig seien.(dhs) Tit 2:6 Likewise exhort the young men to be sober-minded,(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:7 ============ Tit 2:7 in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified,(nas) Tit 2:7 περὶ πάντα σεαυτὸν παρεχόμενος τύπον καλῶν ἔργων, ἐν τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ ἀφθορίαν, σεμνότητα, (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:7 In omnibus teipsum præbe exemplum bonorum operum, in doctrina, in integritate, in gravitate,(vulgate) וְאַתָּה בְּנַפְשְׁךָ הֱיֵה תָמִיד לְמוֹפֵת לָהֶם בְּמַעֲשֶׂיךָ הַטּוֹבִים וּבַאֲמָרִים נְכֹחִים וִיקָרִים אֲשֶׁר אֵין בָּהֶם נִפְתָּל וְעִקֵּשׁ׃ ז Titus Tit 2:7 Allenthalben aber stelle dich selbst zum Vorbilde guter Werke, mit unverfälschter Lehre, mit Ehrbarkeit,(dhs) Tit 2:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:8 ============ Tit 2:8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.(nas) Tit 2:8 λόγον ὑγιῆ ἀκατάγνωστον, ἵνα ὁ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐντραπῇ μηδὲν ἔχων λέγειν περὶ ἡμῶν φαῦλον. (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:8 verbum sanum, irreprehensibile: ut is qui ex adverso est, vereatur, nihil habens malum dicere de nobis.(vulgate) וּבְלֶקַח טוֹב אֲשֶׁר מָשְׁחָת אֵין־בּוֹ עַד אֲשֶׁר צָרֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־בשֶׁת וְלֹא יִמְצְאוּ לְדַבֵּר עָלֵינוּ סָרָה׃ ח Titus Tit 2:8 mit heilsamem und untadeligem Wort, auf daß der Widersacher sich schäme und nichts habe, daß er von uns möge Böses sagen.(dhs) Tit 2:8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:9 ============ Tit 2:9 Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,(nas) Tit 2:9 δούλους ἰδίοις δεσπόταις ὑποτάσσεσθαι ἐν πᾶσιν, εὐαρέστους εἶναι, μὴ ἀντιλέγοντας, (Nestle-Aland) Tit 2:9 Servos dominis suis subditos esse, in omnibus placentes, non contradicentes,(vulgate) וְעַל־הָעֲבָדִים תְּצַוֶּה כִּי־יִכָּנְעוּ תַחַת יְדֵי אֲדֹנֵיהֶם וְלִהְיוֹת לָהֶם לְרָצוֹן תָּמִיד וְלֹא לְהָשִׁיב דָּבָר לַמְרוֹת עֵינֵיהֶם׃ ט Titus Tit 2:9 Den Knechten sage, daß sie ihren Herren untertänig seien, in allen Dingen zu Gefallen tun, nicht widerbellen,(dhs) Tit 2:9 Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back,(nkjv) ======= Titus 2:10 ============ Tit 2:10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.(nas) Tit 2:10 μὴ νοσφιζομένους, ἀλλὰ πᾶσαν πίστιν ἐνδεικνυμένους ἀγαθήν, ἵνα τὴν διδασκαλίαν τὴν τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν θεοῦ κοσμῶσιν ἐν πᾶσιν.
