Today's Date: ======= Hebrews 3:1 ============ Heb 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;(nas) Heb 3:1 ὅθεν, ἀδελφοὶ ἅγιοι, κλήσεως ἐπουρανίου μέτοχοι, κατανοήσατε τὸν ἀπόστολον καὶ ἀρχιερέα τῆς ὁμολογίας ἡμῶν ἰησοῦν, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:1 Unde, fratres sancti, vocationis cælestis participes, considerate Apostolum, et pontificem confessionis nostræ Jesum:(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן אַחַי אַנְשֵׁי קֹדֶשׁ חֲבֵרִים מַקְשִׁיבִים לִקְרִיאַת מָרוֹם הַבִּיטוּ פְנֵי מַלְאָכוֹ הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר לוֹ תִשָּׁבַע לְשׁוֹנֵנוּ הוּא הַמָּשִׁיחַ יֵשׁוּעַ׃ א Hebrews Heb 3:1 Derhalben, ihr heiligen Brüder, die ihr mit berufen seid durch die himmlische Berufung, nehmet wahr des Apostels und Hohenpriesters, den wir bekennen, Christus Jesus,(dhs) Heb 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:2 ============ Heb 3:2 He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.(nas) Heb 3:2 πιστὸν ὄντα τῶ ποιήσαντι αὐτὸν ὡς καὶ μωϊσῆς ἐν [ὅλῳ] τῶ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:2 qui fidelis est ei, qui fecit illum, sicut et Moyses in omni domo ejus.(vulgate) אֲשֶׁר נֶאֱמָן הוּא לְעֹשֵׂהוּ בְּכָל־בֵּיתוֹ כְּמשֶׁה׃ ב Hebrews Heb 3:2 der da treu ist dem, der ihn gemacht hat, wie auch Mose in seinem ganzen Hause.(dhs) Heb 3:2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:3 ============ Heb 3:3 For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.(nas) Heb 3:3 πλείονος γὰρ οὖτος δόξης παρὰ μωϊσῆν ἠξίωται καθ᾽ ὅσον πλείονα τιμὴν ἔχει τοῦ οἴκου ὁ κατασκευάσας αὐτόν. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:3 Amplioris enim gloriæ iste præ Moyse dignus est habitus, quanto ampliorem honorem habet domus, qui fabricavit illam.(vulgate) כִּי־יָאֲתָה לּוֹ יֶתֶר שְׂאֵת עַל־משֶׁה כַּאֲשֶׁר בֹּנֵה בַיִת רַב כְּבוֹדוֹ מִן־הַבָּיִת׃ ג Hebrews Heb 3:3 Dieser aber ist größerer Ehre wert denn Mose, soviel größere Ehre denn das Haus der hat, der es bereitete.(dhs) Heb 3:3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:4 ============ Heb 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.(nas) Heb 3:4 πᾶς γὰρ οἶκος κατασκευάζεται ὑπό τινος, ὁ δὲ πάντα κατασκευάσας θεός. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:4 Omnis namque domus fabricatur ab aliquo: qui autem omnia creavit, Deus est.(vulgate) כִּי כָל־בַּיִת בָּנוּי בִּידֵי בֹנֶה וּבֹנֵה־כֹל הוּא אֱלֹהִים׃ ד Hebrews Heb 3:4 Denn ein jeglich Haus wird von jemand bereitet; der aber alles bereitet hat, das ist Gott.(dhs) Heb 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:5 ============ Heb 3:5 Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;(nas) Heb 3:5 καὶ μωϊσῆς μὲν πιστὸς ἐν ὅλῳ τῶ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ὡς θεράπων εἰς μαρτύριον τῶν λαληθησομένων, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:5 Et Moyses quidem fidelis erat in tota domo ejus tamquam famulus, in testimonium eorum, quæ dicenda erant:(vulgate) אָמְנָם משֶׁה כְּעֶבֶד נֶאֱמָן הָיָה בְכָל־בֵּיתוֹ לְעֵדוּת עַל־אֲמָרָיו אֲשֶׁק יֵאָמֵרוּן׃ ה Hebrews Heb 3:5 Und Mose war zwar treu in seinem ganzen Hause als ein Knecht, zum Zeugnis des, das gesagt sollte werden,(dhs) Heb 3:5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:6 ============ Heb 3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house--whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.(nas) Heb 3:6 χριστὸς δὲ ὡς υἱὸς ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ· οὖ οἶκός ἐσμεν ἡμεῖς, ἐάν[περ] τὴν παρρησίαν καὶ τὸ καύχημα τῆς ἐλπίδος κατάσχωμεν. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:6 Christus vero tamquam filius in domo sua: quæ domus sumus nos, si fiduciam, et gloriam spei usque ad finem, firmam retineamus.~(vulgate) אַךְ הַמָּשִׁיחַ נֶאֱמָן כְּבֵן בְּבֵיתוֹ וּבֵיתוֹ אֲנָחְנוּ אִם רַק נֹאחֵז בְּמִבְטַחֵנוּ וְעֹז תִּקְוָתוֹ עַד־הַקֵּץ׃ ו Hebrews Heb 3:6 Christus aber als ein Sohn über sein Haus; des Haus sind wir, so wir anders das Vertrauen und den Ruhm der Hoffnung bis ans Ende fest behalten.(dhs) Heb 3:6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:7 ============ Heb 3:7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,(nas) Heb 3:7 διό, καθὼς λέγει τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον, σήμερον ἐὰν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούσητε, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:7 Quapropter sicut dicit Spiritus Sanctus: Hodie si vocem ejus audieritis,(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר עַל־פִּי רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ הַיּוֹם אִם־בְּקֹלוֹ תִשְׁמָעוּ׃ ז Hebrews Heb 3:7 Darum, wie der heilige Geist spricht: "Heute, so ihr hören werdet seine Stimme,(dhs) Heb 3:7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:8 ============ Heb 3:8 DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS,(nas) Heb 3:8 μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐν τῶ παραπικρασμῶ, κατὰ τὴν ἡμέραν τοῦ πειρασμοῦ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:8 nolite obdurare corda vestra, sicut in exacerbatione secundum diem tentationis in deserto,(vulgate) אַל־תַּקְשׁוּ לְבַבְכֶם כִּמְרִיבָה כְּיוֹם מַסָּה בַּמִּדְבָּר׃ ח Hebrews Heb 3:8 so verstocket eure Herzen nicht, wie geschah in der Verbitterung am Tage der Versuchung in der Wüste,(dhs) Heb 3:8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:9 ============ Heb 3:9 WHERE YOUR FATHERS TRIED Me BY TESTING Me, AND SAW MY WORKS FOR FORTY YEARS.(nas) Heb 3:9 οὖ ἐπείρασαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν ἐν δοκιμασίᾳ καὶ εἶδον τὰ ἔργα μου (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:9 ubi tentaverunt me patres vestri: probaverunt, et viderunt opera mea(vulgate) אֲשֶׁר נִסּוּנִי אֲבוֹתֵיכֶם בְּחָנוּנִי גַּם־רָאוּ פָעֳלַי אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה׃ ט Hebrews Heb 3:9 da mich eure Väter versuchten; sie prüften mich und sahen meine Werke vierzig Jahre lang.(dhs) Heb 3:9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:10 ============ Heb 3:10 "THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS';(nas) Heb 3:10 τεσσεράκοντα ἔτη· διὸ προσώχθισα τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ καὶ εἶπον, ἀεὶ πλανῶνται τῇ καρδίᾳ· αὐτοὶ δὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὰς ὁδούς μου· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:10 quadraginta annis: propter quod infensus fui generationi huic, et dixi: Semper errant corde. Ipsi autem non cognoverunt vias meas,(vulgate) לָכֵן אָקוּט בַּדּוֹר הַהוּא וָאֹמַר תָּמִיד תֹּעֵי לֵבָב הֵם וְהֵם לֹא־יָדְעוּ דְרָכָי׃ י Hebrews Heb 3:10 Darum ward ich entrüstet über dies Geschlecht und sprach: Immerdar irren sie mit dem Herzen! Aber sie erkannten meine Wege nicht,(dhs) Heb 3:10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, 'They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.'(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:11 ============ Heb 3:11 AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, 'THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.'"(nas) Heb 3:11 ὡς ὤμοσα ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ μου, εἰ εἰσελεύσονται εἰς τὴν κατάπαυσίν μου. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:11 sicut juravi in ira mea: Si introibunt in requiem meam.(vulgate) אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי בְאַפִּי אִם־יְבֹאוּן אֶל־מְנוּחָתִי׃ יא Hebrews Heb 3:11 daß ich auch schwur in meinem Zorn, sie sollten zu meiner Ruhe nicht kommen."(dhs) Heb 3:11 So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' "(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:12 ============ Heb 3:12 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.(nas) Heb 3:12 βλέπετε, ἀδελφοί, μήποτε ἔσται ἔν τινι ὑμῶν καρδία πονηρὰ ἀπιστίας ἐν τῶ ἀποστῆναι ἀπὸ θεοῦ ζῶντος, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:12 Videte fratres, ne forte sit in aliquo vestrum cor malum incredulitatis, discedendi a Deo vivo:(vulgate) רְאוּ־נָא אַחַי גַּם־אַתֶּם פֶּן־יֵשׁ בָּכֶם לֵב רָע חֲסַר אֱמוּנָה לָסוּר מֵאַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהִים חַיִּים׃ יב Hebrews Heb 3:12 Sehet zu, liebe Brüder, daß nicht jemand unter euch ein arges, ungläubiges Herz habe, das da abtrete von dem lebendigen Gott;(dhs) Heb 3:12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:13 ============ Heb 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.(nas) Heb 3:13 ἀλλὰ παρακαλεῖτε ἑαυτοὺς καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν, ἄχρις οὖ τὸ σήμερον καλεῖται, ἵνα μὴ σκληρυνθῇ τις ἐξ ὑμῶν ἀπάτῃ τῆς ἁμαρτίας· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:13 sed adhortamini vosmetipsos per singulos dies, donec hodie cognominatur, ut non obduretur quis ex vobis fallacia peccati.(vulgate) אַךְ הוֹכִיחוּ אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ יוֹם בְּיוֹם כָּל־עוֹד אֲשֶׁר יִקָּרֵא הַיּוֹם לְבִלְתִּי יִקֶשׁ לֵב אִישׁ מִכֶּם בְּנִכְלֵי חַטָּאתוֹ׃ יג Hebrews Heb 3:13 sondern ermahnet euch selbst alle Tage, solange es "heute" heißt, daß nicht jemand unter euch verstockt werde durch Betrug der Sünde.(dhs) Heb 3:13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:14 ============ Heb 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,(nas) Heb 3:14 μέτοχοι γὰρ τοῦ χριστοῦ γεγόναμεν, ἐάνπερ τὴν ἀρχὴν τῆς ὑποστάσεως μέχρι τέλους βεβαίαν κατάσχωμεν, (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:14 Participes enim Christi effecti sumus, si tamen initium substantiæ ejus usque ad finem firmum retineamus.(vulgate) כִּי חֲבֵרִים אֲנַחְנוּ לַמָּשִׁיח אִם רַק נֹאחֵז בְּמִבְטַחֵנוּ מֵהָחֵל וְעַד־כַּלֵּה׃ יד Hebrews Heb 3:14 Denn wir sind Christi teilhaftig geworden, so wir anders das angefangene Wesen bis ans Ende fest behalten.(dhs) Heb 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:15 ============ Heb 3:15 while it is said, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME."(nas) Heb 3:15 ἐν τῶ λέγεσθαι, σήμερον ἐὰν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούσητε, μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐν τῶ παραπικρασμῶ. Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?(nas) Heb 3:16 τίνες γὰρ ἀκούσαντες παρεπίκραναν; ἀλλ᾽ οὐ πάντες οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐξ αἰγύπτου διὰ μωϊσέως; (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:16 Quidam enim audientes exacerbaverunt: sed non universi qui profecti sunt ex Ægypto per Moysen.(vulgate) וּמִי הָיוּ הַשֹּׁמְעִים בַּעֲלֵי הַמְּרִיבָה הֲלֹא כָל־הַיֹּצְאִים מִמִּצְרַיִם בְּיַד־משֶׁה׃ טז Hebrews Heb 3:16 welche denn hörten sie und richteten eine Verbitterung an? Waren's nicht alle, die von Ägypten ausgingen durch Mose?(dhs) Heb 3:16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:17 ============ Heb 3:17 And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?(nas) Heb 3:17 τίσιν δὲ προσώχθισεν τεσσεράκοντα ἔτη; οὐχὶ τοῖς ἁμαρτήσασιν, ὧν τὰ κῶλα ἔπεσεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ; (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:17 Quibus autem infensus est quadraginta annis? nonne illis qui peccaverunt, quorum cadavera prostrata sunt in deserto?(vulgate) וּבְמִי הִתְקוֹטֵט אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה הֲלֹא בַחַטָּאִים אֲשֶׁר פִּגְרֵיהֶם נָפְלוּ בַמִּדְבָּר׃ יז Hebrews Heb 3:17 Über welche aber ward er entrüstet vierzig Jahre lang? Ist's nicht über die, so da sündigten, deren Leiber in der Wüste verfielen?(dhs) Heb 3:17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:18 ============ Heb 3:18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?(nas) Heb 3:18 τίσιν δὲ ὤμοσεν μὴ εἰσελεύσεσθαι εἰς τὴν κατάπαυσιν αὐτοῦ εἰ μὴ τοῖς ἀπειθήσασιν; (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:18 Quibus autem juravit non introire in requiem ipsius, nisi illis qui increduli fuerunt?(vulgate) וְעַל־מִי נִשְׁבַּע אִם־יְבֹאוּן אֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹ הֲלֹא עַל־אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר לֹא הֶאֱמִינוּ׃ יח Hebrews Heb 3:18 Welchen schwur er aber, daß sie nicht zur Ruhe kommen sollten, wenn nicht den Ungläubigen?(dhs) Heb 3:18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 3:19 ============ Heb 3:19 So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.(nas) Heb 3:19 καὶ βλέπομεν ὅτι οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν εἰσελθεῖν δι᾽ ἀπιστίαν. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 3:19 Et videmus, quia non potuerunt introire propter incredulitatem.(vulgate) וַאֲנַחְנוּ רֹאִים כִּי לֹא יָכְלוּ לָבֹא מִפְּנֵי חֹסֶר אֱמוּנָתָם׃ יט Hebrews Heb 3:19 Und wir sehen, daß sie nicht haben können hineinkommen um des Unglaubens willen.(dhs) Heb 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 4:1 ============ top of the page
