Today's Date: 4/11/2025 ======= Numbers 18:1 ============ Num 18:1 So the Lord said to Aaron, "You and your sons and your father's household with you shall bear the guilt in connection with the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the guilt in connection with your priesthood.(nas) Num 18:1 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Ααρων λέγων σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ ὁ οἶκος πατριᾶς σου λήμψεσθε τὰς ἁμαρτίας τῶν ἁγίων καὶ σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου λήμψεσθε τὰς ἁμαρτίας τῆς ἱερατείας ὑμῶν (lxx) Num 18:1 Dixitque Dominus ad Aaron: Tu, et filii tui, et domus patris tui tecum, portabitis iniquitatem sanctuarii: et tu et filii tui simul sustinebitis peccata sacerdotii vestri.(vulgate) Numbers 18:1 And the Lord sayd vnto Aaron, Thou, and thy sonnes and thy fathers house with thee, shall beare the iniquitie of the Sanctuarie: both thou and thy sonnes with thee shal beare the iniquitie of your Priestes office.(Geneva) Num 18:1 Und der HERR sprach zu Aaron: Du und deine Söhne und deines Vaters Haus mit dir sollt die Missetat des Heiligtums tragen; und du und deine Söhne mit dir sollt die Missetat eures Priestertums tragen.(dhs) Num 18:1 Then the Lord said to Aaron: "You and your sons and your father's house with you shall bear the iniquity related to the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity associated with your priesthood.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:2 ============ Num 18:2 But bring with you also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may be joined with you and serve you, while you and your sons with you are before the tent of the testimony.(nas) Num 18:2 καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου φυλὴν Λευι δῆμον τοῦ πατρός σου προσαγάγου πρὸς σεαυτόν καὶ προστεθήτωσάν σοι καὶ λειτουργείτωσάν σοι καὶ σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου μετὰ σοῦ ἀπέναντι τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου (lxx) Num 18:2 Sed et fratres tuos de tribu Levi, et sceptrum patris tui sume tecum, præstoque sint, et ministrent tibi: tu autem et filii tui ministrabitis in tabernaculo testimonii.(vulgate) Numbers 18:2 And bring also with thee thy brethren of the tribe of Leui of ye familie of thy father, which shalbe ioyned with thee, and minister vnto thee: but thou, and thy sonnes with thee shall minister before the Tabernacle of the Testimonie:(Geneva) Num 18:2 Aber deine Brüder des Stammes Levis, deines Vaters, sollst du zu dir nehmen, daß sie bei dir seien und dir dienen; du aber und deine Söhne mit dir vor der Hütte des Zeugnisses.(dhs) Num 18:2 Also bring with you your brethren of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may be joined with you and serve you while you and your sons are with you before the tabernacle of witness.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:3 ============ Num 18:3 And they shall thus attend to your obligation and the obligation of all the tent, but they shall not come near to the furnishings of the sanctuary and the altar, or both they and you will die.(nas) Num 18:3 καὶ φυλάξονται τὰς φυλακάς σου καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς πλὴν πρὸς τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια καὶ πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον οὐ προσελεύσονται καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανοῦνται καὶ οὗτοι καὶ ὑμεῖς (lxx) Num 18:3 Excubabuntque Levitæ ad præcepta tua, et ad cuncta opera tabernaculi: ita dumtaxat ut ad vasa sanctuarii et ad altare non accedant, ne et illi moriantur, et vos pereatis simul.(vulgate) Numbers 18:3 And they shal keepe thy charge, euen the charge of all the Tabernacle: but they shall not come neere the instruments of the Sanctuary, nor to the altar, lest they die, both they and you:(Geneva) Num 18:3 Und sie sollen deines Dienstes und des Dienstes der ganzen Hütte warten. Doch zu dem Gerät des Heiligtums und zu dem Altar sollen sie nicht nahen, daß nicht beide, sie und ihr, sterbet;(dhs) Num 18:3 They shall attend to your needs and all the needs of the tabernacle; but they shall not come near the articles of the sanctuary and the altar, lest they die--they and you also.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:4 ============ Num 18:4 They shall be joined with you and attend to the obligations of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the tent; but an outsider may not come near you.(nas) Num 18:4 καὶ προστεθήσονται πρὸς σὲ καὶ φυλάξονται τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου κατὰ πάσας τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς οὐ προσελεύσεται πρὸς σέ (lxx) Num 18:4 Sint autem tecum, et excubent in custodiis tabernaculi, et in omnibus cæremoniis ejus. Alienigena non miscebitur vobis.(vulgate) Numbers 18:4 And they shalbe ioyned with thee, & keepe the charge of the Tabernacle of the Congregation for all the seruice of the Tabernacle: and no stranger shal come neere vnto you:(Geneva) Num 18:4 sondern sie sollen bei dir sein, daß sie des Dienstes warten an der Hütte des Stifts in allem Amt der Hütte; und kein Fremder soll sich zu euch tun.(dhs) Num 18:4 They shall be joined with you and attend to the needs of the tabernacle of meeting, for all the work of the tabernacle; but an outsider shall not come near you.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:5 ============ Num 18:5 So you shall attend to the obligations of the sanctuary and the obligations of the altar, so that there will no longer be wrath on the sons of Israel.(nas) Num 18:5 καὶ φυλάξεσθε τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν ἁγίων καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται θυμὸς ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ (lxx) Num 18:5 Excubate in custodia sanctuarii, et in ministerio altaris: ne oriatur indignatio super filios Israël.(vulgate) Numbers 18:5 Therefore shall ye keepe the charge of the Sanctuarie, and the charge of the altar: so there shall fall no more wrath vpon the children of Israel.(Geneva) Num 18:5 So wartet nun des Dienstes des Heiligtums und des Dienstes des Altars, daß hinfort nicht mehr ein Wüten komme über die Kinder Israel.(dhs) Num 18:5 And you shall attend to the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the altar, that there may be no more wrath on the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:6 ============ Num 18:6 Behold, I Myself have taken your fellow Levites from among the sons of Israel; they are a gift to you, dedicated to the Lord, to perform the service for the tent of meeting.(nas) Num 18:6 καὶ ἐγὼ εἴληφα τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ δόμα δεδομένον κυρίῳ λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου (lxx) Num 18:6 Ego dedi vobis fratres vestros Levitas de medio filiorum Israël, et tradidi donum Domino, ut serviant in ministeriis tabernaculi ejus.(vulgate) Numbers 18:6 For lo, I haue taken your brethren the Leuites from among the children of Israel, which as a gift of yours, are giuen vnto the Lord, to do the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.(Geneva) Num 18:6 Denn siehe, ich habe die Leviten, eure Brüder, genommen aus den Kindern Israel, dem HERRN zum Geschenk, und euch gegeben, daß sie des Amts pflegen an der Hütte des Stifts.(dhs) Num 18:6 Behold, I Myself have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel; they are a gift to you, given by the Lord, to do the work of the tabernacle of meeting.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:7 ============ Num 18:7 But you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar and inside the veil, and you are to perform service. I am giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death." (nas) Num 18:7 καὶ σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου μετὰ σοῦ διατηρήσετε τὴν ἱερατείαν ὑμῶν κατὰ πάντα τρόπον τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ τὸ ἔνδοθεν τοῦ καταπετάσματος καὶ λειτουργήσετε τὰς λειτουργίας δόμα τῆς ἱερατείας ὑμῶν καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀποθανεῖται (lxx) Num 18:7 Tu autem et filii tui custodite sacerdotium vestrum: et omnia quæ ad cultum altaris pertinent, et intra velum sunt, per sacerdotes administrabuntur: si quis externus accesserit, occidetur.~(vulgate) Numbers 18:7 But thou, and thy sonnes with thee shall keepe your Priestes office for all things of the altar, and within the vaile: therefore shal ye serue: for I haue made your Priestes office an office of seruice: therefore the stranger that cometh neere, shalbe slayne.(Geneva) Num 18:7 Du aber und deine Söhne mit dir sollt eures Priestertums warten, daß ihr dienet in allerlei Geschäft des Altars und inwendig hinter dem Vorhang; denn euer Priestertum gebe ich euch zum Amt, zum Geschenk. Wenn ein Fremder sich herzutut, der soll sterben.(dhs) Num 18:7 Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything at the altar and behind the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood to you as a gift for service, but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:8 ============ Num 18:8 Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, "Now behold, I Myself have given you charge of My offerings, even all the holy gifts of the sons of Israel I have given them to you as a portion and to your sons as a perpetual allotment.(nas) Num 18:8 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Ααρων καὶ ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ δέδωκα ὑμῖν τὴν διατήρησιν τῶν ἀπαρχῶν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἡγιασμένων μοι παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ σοὶ δέδωκα αὐτὰ εἰς γέρας καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου μετὰ σέ νόμιμον αἰώνιον (lxx) Num 18:8 Locutusque est Dominus ad Aaron: Ecce dedi tibi custodiam primitiarum mearum. Omnia quæ sanctificantur a filiis Israël, tradidi tibi et filiis tuis pro officio sacerdotali legitima sempiterna.(vulgate) Numbers 18:8 Againe the Lord spake vnto Aaron, Behold, I haue giuen thee the keeping of mine offrings, of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel: vnto thee I haue giuen them for the anoyntings sake, and to thy sonnes, for a perpetuall ordinance.(Geneva) Num 18:8 Und der HERR sagte zu Aaron: Siehe, ich habe dir gegeben meine Hebopfer von allem, was die Kinder Israel heiligen, als Gebühr dir und deinen Söhnen zum ewigen Recht.(dhs) Num 18:8 And the Lord spoke to Aaron: "Here, I Myself have also given you charge of My heave offerings, all the holy gifts of the children of Israel; I have given them as a portion to you and your sons, as an ordinance forever.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:9 ============ Num 18:9 This shall be yours from the most holy gifts reserved from the fire; every offering of theirs, even every grain offering and every sin offering and every guilt offering, which they shall render to Me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.(nas) Num 18:9 καὶ τοῦτο ἔστω ὑμῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ἡγιασμένων ἁγίων τῶν καρπωμάτων ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν δώρων αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν θυσιασμάτων αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάσης πλημμελείας αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ὅσα ἀποδιδόασίν μοι ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἁγίων σοὶ ἔσται καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου (lxx) Num 18:9 Hæc ergo accipies de his, quæ sanctificantur et oblata sunt Domino. Omnis oblatio, et sacrificium, et quidquid pro peccato atque delicto redditur mihi, et cedit in Sancta sanctorum, tuum erit, et filiorum tuorum.(vulgate) Numbers 18:9 This shalbe thine of the most holy things, reserued from the fire: all their offering of all their meate offring, and of all their sinne offring, and of all their trespasse offring, which they bring vnto me, that shalbe most holy vnto thee, and to thy sonnes.(Geneva) Num 18:9 Das sollst du haben von dem Hochheiligen: Was nicht angezündet wird von allen ihren Gaben an allen ihren Speisopfern und an allen ihren Sündopfern und an allen ihren Schuldopfern, die sie mir geben, das soll dir und deinen Söhnen ein Hochheiliges sein.(dhs) Num 18:9 This shall be yours of the most holy things reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering and every sin offering and every trespass offering which they render to Me, shall be most holy for you and your sons.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:10 ============ Num 18:10 As the most holy gifts you shall eat it; every male shall eat it. It shall be holy to you.(nas) Num 18:10 ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ τῶν ἁγίων φάγεσθε αὐτά πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν φάγεται αὐτά σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου ἅγια ἔσται σοι (lxx) Num 18:10 In sanctuario comedes illud: mares tantum edent ex eo, quia consecratum est tibi.(vulgate) Numbers 18:10 In the most holy place shalt thou eate it: euery male shal eate of it: it is holy vnto thee.(Geneva) Num 18:10 An einem heiligen Ort sollst du es essen. Was männlich ist, soll davon essen; denn es soll dir heilig sein.(dhs) Num 18:10 In a most holy place you shall eat it; every male shall eat it. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat it.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:14 ============ Num 18:14 Every devoted thing in Israel shall be yours.(nas) Num 18:14 πᾶν ἀνατεθεματισμένον ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ σοὶ ἔσται (lxx) Num 18:14 Omne quod ex voto reddiderint filii Israël, tuum erit.(vulgate) Numbers 18:14 Euery thing separate from the common vse in Israel, shalbe thine.(Geneva) Num 18:14 Alles Verbannte in Israel soll dein sein.(dhs) Num 18:14 Every devoted thing in Israel shall be yours.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:15 ============ Num 18:15 Every first issue of the womb of all flesh, whether man or animal, which they offer to the Lord, shall be yours; nevertheless the firstborn of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem.(nas) Num 18:15 καὶ πᾶν διανοῖγον μήτραν ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκός ἃ προσφέρουσιν κυρίῳ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους σοὶ ἔσται ἀλλ᾽ ἢ λύτροις λυτρωθήσεται τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν ἀνθρώπων καὶ τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν ἀκαθάρτων λυτρώσῃ (lxx) Num 18:15 Quidquid primum erumpit e vulva cunctæ carnis, quam offerunt Domino, sive ex hominibus, sive de pecoribus fuerit, tui juris erit: ita dumtaxat ut pro hominis primogenito pretium accipias, et omne animal quod immundum est redimi facias,(vulgate) Numbers 18:15 All that first openeth the matrice of any flesh, which they shal offer vnto the Lord, of man or beast, shalbe thine: but the first borne of man shalt thou redeeme, and the first borne of the vncleane beast shalt thou redeeme.(Geneva) Num 18:15 Alles, was die Mutter bricht unter allem Fleisch, das sie dem HERRN bringen, es sei ein Mensch oder Vieh, soll dein sein; doch daß du die erste Menschenfrucht lösen lassest und die erste Frucht eines unreinen Viehs auch lösen lassest.(dhs) Num 18:15 Everything that first opens the womb of all flesh, which they bring to the Lord, whether man or beast, shall be yours; nevertheless the firstborn of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:16 ============ Num 18:16 As to their redemption price, from a month old you shall redeem them, by your valuation, five shekels in silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.(nas) Num 18:16 καὶ ἡ λύτρωσις αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ μηνιαίου ἡ συντίμησις πέντε σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον εἴκοσι ὄβολοί εἰσιν (lxx) Num 18:16 cujus redemptio erit post unum mensem, siclis argenti quinque, pondere sanctuarii. Siclus viginti obolos habet.(vulgate) Numbers 18:16 And those that are to bee redeemed, shalt thou redeeme from the age of a moneth, according to thy estimation, for the money of fiue shekels, after the shekel of the Sanctuarie, which is twentie gerahs.(Geneva) Num 18:16 Sie sollen's aber lösen, wenn's einen Monat alt ist; und sollst es zu lösen geben um Geld, um fünf Silberlinge nach dem Lot des Heiligtums, das hat zwanzig Gera.(dhs) Num 18:16 And those redeemed of the devoted things you shall redeem when one month old, according to your valuation, for five shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 18:17 ============ Num 18:17 But the firstborn of an ox or the firstborn of a sheep or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall offer up their fat in smoke as an offering by fire, for a soothing aroma to the Lord.(nas) Num 18:17 πλὴν πρωτότοκα μόσχων καὶ πρωτότοκα προβάτων καὶ πρωτότοκα αἰγῶν οὐ λυτρώσῃ ἅγιά ἐστιν καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν προσχεεῖς πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ τὸ στέαρ ἀνοίσεις κάρπωμα εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας κυρίῳ (lxx) Num 18:17 Primogenitum autem bovis, et ovis, et capræ, non facies redimi, quia sanctificata sunt Domino. Sanguinem tantum eorum fundes super altare, et adipes adolebis in suavissimum odorem Domino.(vulgate) Numbers 18:17 But the first borne of a kowe, or the first borne of a sheepe, or the first borne of a goate shalt thou not redeeme: for they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood at the altar, and thou shalt burne their fat: it is a sacrifice made by fire for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Num 18:17 Aber die erste Frucht eines Rindes oder Schafes oder einer Ziege sollst du nicht zu lösen geben, denn sie sind heilig; ihr Blut sollst du sprengen auf den Altar, und ihr Fett sollst du anzünden zum Opfer des süßen Geruchs dem HERRN.(dhs) Num 18:17 But the firstborn of a cow, the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy.
