sondern sie sollen nimmermehr hineinkommen,(dhs) Deu 23:3 "An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the Lord forever,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:4 ============ Deu 23:4 because they did not meet you with food and water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.(nas) Deu 23:4 παρὰ τὸ μὴ συναντῆσαι αὐτοὺς ὑμῖν μετὰ ἄρτων καὶ ὕδατος ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκπορευομένων ὑμῶν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ὅτι ἐμισθώσαντο ἐπὶ σὲ τὸν Βαλααμ υἱὸν Βεωρ ἐκ τῆς Μεσοποταμίας καταράσασθαί σε (lxx) Deu 23:4 quia noluerunt vobis occurrere cum pane et aqua in via quando egressi estis de Ægypto: et quia conduxerunt contra te Balaam filium Beor de Mesopotamia Syriæ, ut malediceret tibi:(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:4 Because they met you not with bread & water in the way, when yee came out of Egypt, and because they hyred against thee Balaam the sonne of Beor, of Pethor in Aram-naharaim, to curse thee.(Geneva) Deu 23:4 darum daß sie euch nicht entgegenkamen mit Brot und Wasser auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget, vielmehr wider euch dingten den Bileam, den Sohn Beors von Pethor aus Mesopotamien, daß er dich verfluchen sollte.(dhs) Deu 23:4 because they did not meet you with bread and water on the road when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:5 ============ Deu 23:5 Nevertheless, the Lord your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.(nas) Deu 23:5 καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰσακοῦσαι τοῦ Βαλααμ καὶ μετέστρεψεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὰς κατάρας εἰς εὐλογίαν ὅτι ἠγάπησέν σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου (lxx) Deu 23:5 et noluit Dominus Deus tuus audire Balaam, vertitque maledictionem ejus in benedictionem tuam, eo quod diligeret te.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:5 Neuerthelesse, the Lorde thy God would not hearken vnto Balaam, but the Lord thy God turned the curse to a blessing vnto thee, because the Lord thy God loued thee.(Geneva) Deu 23:5 Aber der HERR, dein Gott, wollte Bileam nicht hören und wandelte dir den Fluch in den Segen, darum, daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, liebhatte.(dhs) Deu 23:5 Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:6 ============ Deu 23:6 You shall never seek their peace or their prosperity all your days.(nas) Deu 23:6 οὐ προσαγορεύσεις εἰρηνικὰ αὐτοῖς καὶ συμφέροντα αὐτοῖς πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα (lxx) Deu 23:6 Non facies cum eis pacem, nec quæras eis bona cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ in sempiternum.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:6 Thou shalt not seeke their peace nor their prosperitie all thy dayes for euer.(Geneva) Deu 23:6 Du sollst nicht ihren Frieden noch ihr Bestes suchen dein Leben lang ewiglich.(dhs) Deu 23:6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:7 ============ Deu 23:7 "You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.(nas) Deu 23:7 οὐ βδελύξῃ Ιδουμαῖον ὅτι ἀδελφός σού ἐστιν οὐ βδελύξῃ Αἰγύπτιον ὅτι πάροικος ἐγένου ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 23:7 Non abominaberis Idumæum, quia frater tuus est: nec Ægyptium, quia advena fuisti in terra ejus.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:7 Thou shalt not abhorre an Edomite: for he is thy brother, neither shalt thou abhorre an Egyptian, because thou wast a strager in his land.(Geneva) Deu 23:7 Den Edomiter sollst du nicht für eine Greuel halten; er ist dein Bruder. Den Ägypter sollst du auch nicht für einen Greuel halten; denn du bist ein Fremdling in seinem Lande gewesen.(dhs) Deu 23:7 "You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:8 ============ Deu 23:8 The sons of the third generation who are born to them may enter the assembly of the Lord.(nas) Deu 23:8 υἱοὶ ἐὰν γενηθῶσιν αὐτοῖς γενεὰ τρίτη εἰσελεύσονται εἰς ἐκκλησίαν κυρίου (lxx) Deu 23:8 Qui nati fuerint ex eis, tertia generatione intrabunt in ecclesiam Domini.~(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:8 The children that are begotten of them in their thirde generation, shall enter into the Congregation of the Lord.(Geneva) Deu 23:8 Die Kinder, die sie im dritten Glied zeugen, sollen in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.(dhs) Deu 23:8 The children of the third generation born to them may enter the assembly of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:9 ============ Deu 23:9 "When you go out as an army against your enemies, you shall keep yourself from every evil thing.(nas) Deu 23:9 ἐὰν δὲ ἐξέλθῃς παρεμβαλεῖν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου καὶ φυλάξῃ ἀπὸ παντὸς ῥήματος πονηροῦ (lxx) Deu 23:9 Quando egressus fueris adversus hostes tuos in pugnam, custodies te ab omni re mala.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:9 When thou goest out with the host against thine enemies, keepe thee then from all wickednesse.(Geneva) Deu 23:9 Wenn du ausziehst wider deine Feinde und ein Lager aufschlägst, so hüte dich vor allem Bösen.(dhs) Deu 23:9 "When the army goes out against your enemies, then keep yourself from every wicked thing.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:10 ============ Deu 23:10 "If there is among you any man who is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, then he must go outside the camp; he may not reenter the camp.(nas) Deu 23:10 ἐὰν ᾖ ἐν σοὶ ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἔσται καθαρὸς ἐκ ῥύσεως αὐτοῦ νυκτός καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν (lxx) Deu 23:10 Si fuerit inter vos homo, qui nocturno pollutus sit somnio, egredietur extra castra,(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:10 If there be among you any that is vncleane by that which commeth to him by night, he shall goe out of the hoste, and shall not enter into the hoste,(Geneva) Deu 23:10 Wenn jemand unter dir ist, der nicht rein ist, daß ihm des Nachts etwas widerfahren ist, der soll hinaus vor das Lager gehen und nicht wieder hineinkommen,(dhs) Deu 23:10 If there is any man among you who becomes unclean by some occurrence in the night, then he shall go outside the camp; he shall not come inside the camp.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:11 ============ Deu 23:11 But it shall be when evening approaches, he shall bathe himself with water, and at sundown he may reenter the camp.(nas) Deu 23:11 καὶ ἔσται τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι καὶ δεδυκότος ἡλίου εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν (lxx) Deu 23:11 et non revertetur, priusquam ad vesperam lavetur aqua: et post solis occasum regredietur in castra.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:11 But at euen he shall wash him selfe with water, and when the sunne is downe, he shall enter into the hoste.(Geneva) Deu 23:11 bis er vor abends sich mit Wasser bade; und wenn die Sonne untergegangen ist, soll er wieder ins Lager gehen.(dhs) Deu 23:11 But it shall be, when evening comes, that he shall wash with water; and when the sun sets, he may come into the camp.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:12 ============ Deu 23:12 "You shall also have a place outside the camp and go out there,(nas) Deu 23:12 καὶ τόπος ἔσται σοι ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ ἐξελεύσῃ ἐκεῖ ἔξω (lxx) Deu 23:12 Habebis locum extra castra, ad quem egrediaris ad requisita naturæ,(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:12 Thou shalt haue a place also without the hoste whither thou shalt resort,(Geneva) Deu 23:12 Und du sollst draußen vor dem Lager einen Ort haben, dahin du zur Not hinausgehst.(dhs) Deu 23:12 Also you shall have a place outside the camp, where you may go out;(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:13 ============ Deu 23:13 and you shall have a spade among your tools, and it shall be when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and shall turn to cover up your excrement.(nas) Deu 23:13 καὶ πάσσαλος ἔσται σοι ἐπὶ τῆς ζώνης σου καὶ ἔσται ὅταν διακαθιζάνῃς ἔξω καὶ ὀρύξεις ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐπαγαγὼν καλύψεις τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην σου ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) Deu 23:13 gerens paxillum in balteo: cumque sederis, fodies per circuitum, et egesta humo operies(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:13 And thou shalt haue a paddle among thy weapons, & when thou wouldest sit downe without, thou shalt shalt digge therewith, and returning thou shalt couer thine excrements.(Geneva) Deu 23:13 Und sollst eine Schaufel haben, und wenn du dich draußen setzen willst, sollst du damit graben; und wenn du gesessen hast, sollst du zuscharren, was von dir gegangen ist.(dhs) Deu 23:13 and you shall have an implement among your equipment, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and turn and cover your refuse.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:14 ============ Deu 23:14 Since the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you.(nas) Deu 23:14 ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐμπεριπατεῖ ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ σου ἐξελέσθαι σε καὶ παραδοῦναι τὸν ἐχθρόν σου πρὸ προσώπου σου καὶ ἔσται ἡ παρεμβολή σου ἁγία καὶ οὐκ ὀφθήσεται ἐν σοὶ ἀσχημοσύνη πράγματος καὶ ἀποστρέψει ἀπὸ σοῦ (lxx) Deu 23:14 quo revelatus es: Dominus enim Deus tuus ambulat in medio castrorum, ut eruat te, et tradat tibi inimicos tuos: et sint castra tua sancta, et nihil in eis appareat fœditatis, ne derelinquat te.~(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:14 For the Lord thy God walketh in the mids of thy campe to deliuer thee, and to giue thee thine enemies before thee: therefore thine hoste shalbe holy, that he see no filthie thing in thee and turne away from thee.(Geneva) Deu 23:14 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, wandelt unter deinem Lager, daß er dich errette und gebe deine Feinde vor dir dahin. therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:15 ============ Deu 23:15 "You shall not hand over to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you.(nas) Deu 23:15 οὐ παραδώσεις παῖδα τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτοῦ ὃς προστέθειταί σοι παρὰ τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 23:15 Non trades servum domino suo, qui ad te confugerit.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:15 Thou shalt not deliuer the seruant vnto his master, which is escaped from his master vnto thee.(Geneva) Deu 23:15 Du sollst den Knecht nicht seinem Herrn überantworten, der von ihm zu dir sich entwandt hat.(dhs) Deu 23:15 "You shall not give back to his master the slave who has escaped from his master to you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:16 ============ Deu 23:16 He shall live with you in your midst, in the place which he shall choose in one of your towns where it pleases him; und sollst ihn nicht schinden.(dhs) Deu 23:16 He may dwell with you in your midst, in the place which he chooses within one of your gates, where it seems best to him; you shall not oppress him.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:17 ============ Deu 23:17 "None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, nor shall any of the sons of Israel be a cult prostitute.(nas) Deu 23:17 οὐκ ἔσται πόρνη ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Ισραηλ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται πορνεύων ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ισραηλ οὐκ ἔσται τελεσφόρος ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Ισραηλ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται τελισκόμενος ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ισραηλ (lxx) Deu 23:17 Non erit meretrix de filiabus Israël, nec scortator de filiis Israël.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:17 There shalbe no whore of the daughters of Israel, neither shal there be a whore keeper of the sonnes of Israel.(Geneva) Deu 23:17 Es soll keine Hure sein unter den Töchtern Israels und kein Hurer unter den Söhnen Israels.(dhs) Deu 23:17 "There shall be no ritual harlot of the daughters of Israel, or a perverted one of the sons of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:18 ============ Deu 23:18 You shall not bring the hire of a harlot or the wages of a dog into the house of the Lord your God for any votive offering, for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God.(nas) Deu 23:18 οὐ προσοίσεις μίσθωμα πόρνης οὐδὲ ἄλλαγμα κυνὸς εἰς τὸν οἶκον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου πρὸς πᾶσαν εὐχήν ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σού ἐστιν καὶ ἀμφότερα (lxx) Deu 23:18 Non offeres mercedem prostibuli, nec pretium canis in domo Domini Dei tui, quidquid illud est quod voveris: quia abominatio est utrumque apud Dominum Deum tuum.(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:18 Thou shalt neyther bring the hyre of a whore, nor the price of a dogge into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for euen both these are abomination vnto the Lord thy God.(Geneva) Deu 23:18 Du sollst keinen Hurenlohn noch Hundegeld in das Haus des HERRN, deines Gottes, bringen aus irgend einem Gelübde; denn das ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, beides ein Greuel.(dhs) Deu 23:18 You shall not bring the wages of a harlot or the price of a dog to the house of the Lord your God for any vowed offering, for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:19 ============ Deu 23:19 "You shall not charge interest to your countrymen: interest on money, food, or anything that may be loaned at interest.(nas) Deu 23:19 οὐκ ἐκτοκιεῖς τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου τόκον ἀργυρίου καὶ τόκον βρωμάτων καὶ τόκον παντὸς πράγματος οὗ ἂν ἐκδανείσῃς (lxx) Deu 23:19 Non fœnerabis fratri tuo ad usuram pecuniam, nec fruges, nec quamlibet aliam rem:(vulgate) Deuteronomy 23:19 Thou shalt not giue to vsurie to thy brother: as vsurie of money, vsurie of meate, vsurie of any thing that is put to vsurie.(Geneva) Deu 23:19 Du sollst von deinem Bruder nicht Zinsen nehmen, weder Geld noch mit Speise noch mit allem, womit man wuchern kann.(dhs) Deu 23:19 "You shall not charge interest to your brother--interest on money or food or anything that is lent out at interest(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 23:20 ============ Deu 23:20 You may charge interest to a foreigner, but to your countrymen you shall not charge interest, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are about to enter to possess.(nas) Deu 23:20 τῷ ἀλλοτρίῳ ἐκτοκιεῖς τῷ δὲ ἀδελφῷ σου οὐκ ἐκτοκιεῖς ἵνα εὐλογήσῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν (lxx) Deu 23:20 sed alieno.
