will be the procedure of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and place them for himself in his chariots and among his horsemen and they will run before his chariots.(nas) 1Sa 8:11 καὶ εἶπεν τοῦτο ἔσται τὸ δικαίωμα τοῦ βασιλέως ὃς βασιλεύσει ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν λήμψεται καὶ θήσεται αὐτοὺς ἐν ἅρμασιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἱππεῦσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ προτρέχοντας τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ (lxx) 1Sa 8:11 Et ait: Hoc erit jus regis, qui imperaturus est vobis: filios vestros tollet, et ponet in curribus suis: facietque sibi equites et præcursores quadrigarum suarum,(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:11 And he saide, This shall be the maner of the King that shall reigne ouer you: he will take your sonnes, and appoint them to his charets, and to be his horsemen, and some shall runne before his charet.(Geneva) 1Sa ======= 1 Samuel 8:12 ============ 1Sa 8:12 He will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and of fifties, and some to do his plowing and to reap his harvest and to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.(nas) 1Sa 8:12 καὶ θέσθαι αὐτοὺς ἑαυτῷ χιλιάρχους καὶ ἑκατοντάρχους καὶ θερίζειν θερισμὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τρυγᾶν τρυγητὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ποιεῖν σκεύη πολεμικὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ σκεύη ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ (lxx) 1Sa 8:12 et constituet sibi tribunos, et centuriones, et aratores agrorum suorum, et messores segetum, et fabros armorum et curruum suorum.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:12 Also he will make them his captaines ouer thousands, and captaines ouer fifties, and to eare his ground, and to reape his haruest, and to make instruments of warre, and the thinges that serue for his charets.(Geneva) 1Sa μυρεψοὺς καὶ εἰς μαγειρίσσας καὶ εἰς πεσσούσας (lxx) 1Sa 8:13 Filias quoque vestras faciet sibi unguentarias, et focarias, et panificas.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:13 He will also take your daughters and So Samuel said to the men of Israel, "Go every man to his city." Et ait Samuel ad viros Israël: Vadat unusquisque in civitatem suam.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 8:22 And the Lord saide to Samuel, Hearken vnto their voyce, and make them a King; Samuel said vnto the men of Israel, Goe euery man vnto his citie.(Geneva) 1Sa 8:22 Der HERR aber sprach zu Samuel: Gehorche ihrer Stimme und mache ihnen einen König.
