Ich bin dein und alles, was ich habe.(dhs) 1Ki 20:4 And the king of Israel answered and said, "My lord, O king, just as you say, I and all that I have are yours."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:5 ============ 1Ki 20:5 Then the messengers returned and said, "Thus says Ben-hadad, 'Surely, I sent to you saying, "You shall give me your silver and your gold and your wives and your children,"(nas) 1Ki 20:5 καὶ ἀνέστρεψαν οἱ ἄγγελοι καὶ εἶπον τάδε λέγει υἱὸς Αδερ ἐγὼ ἀπέσταλκα πρὸς σὲ λέγων τὸ ἀργύριόν σου καὶ τὸ χρυσίον σου καὶ τὰς γυναῖκάς σου καὶ τὰ τέκνα σου δώσεις ἐμοί (lxx) 1Ki 20:5 Revertentesque nuntii, dixerunt: Hæc dicit Benadad, qui misit nos ad te: Argentum tuum, et aurum tuum, et uxores tuas, et filios tuos, dabis mihi.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:5 And when the messengers came againe, they said, Thus commandeth Ben-hadad, & saith, When I shal send vnto thee, and command, thou shalt deliuer me thy siluer and thy golde, and thy women, and thy children,(Geneva) 1Ki 20:5 Und die Boten kamen wieder und sprachen: So spricht Benhadad: Weil ich zu dir gesandt habe und lassen sagen: Dein Silber und dein Gold, deine Weiber und deine Kinder sollst du mir geben,(dhs) 1Ki 20:5 Then the messengers came back and said, "Thus speaks Ben-Hadad, saying, 'Indeed I have sent to you, saying, "You shall deliver to me your silver and your gold, your wives and your children";(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:6 ============ 1Ki 20:6 but about this time tomorrow I will send my servants to you, and they will search your house and the houses of your servants; and whatever is desirable in your eyes, they will take in their hand and carry away.'"(nas) 1Ki 20:6 ὅτι ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον ἀποστελῶ τοὺς παῖδάς μου πρὸς σέ καὶ ἐρευνήσουσιν τὸν οἶκόν σου καὶ τοὺς οἴκους τῶν παίδων σου καὶ ἔσται τὰ ἐπιθυμήματα ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν ἐφ᾽ ἃ ἂν ἐπιβάλωσι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν καὶ λήμψονται (lxx) 1Ki 20:6 Cras igitur hac eadem hora mittam servos meos ad te, et scrutabuntur domum tuam, et domum servorum tuorum: et omne quod eis placuerit, ponent in manibus suis, et auferent.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:6 Or els I will sende my seruants vnto thee by to morow this time: and they shal search thine house, & the houses of thy seruants: and whatsoeuer is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall take it in their handes, and bring it away.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:6 so will ich morgen um diese Zeit meine Knechte zu dir senden, daß sie dein Haus und deiner Untertanen Häuser durchsuchen; und was dir lieblich ist, sollen sie in ihre Hände nehmen und wegtragen.(dhs) 1Ki 20:6 but I will send my servants to you tomorrow about this time, and they shall search your house and the houses of your servants. And it shall be, that whatever is pleasant in your eyes, they will put it in their hands and take it.' "(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:7 ============ 1Ki 20:7 Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land and said, "Please observe and see how this man is looking for trouble; for he sent to me for my wives and my children and my silver and my gold, and I did not refuse him."(nas) 1Ki 20:7 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ πάντας τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους καὶ εἶπεν γνῶτε δὴ καὶ ἴδετε ὅτι κακίαν οὗτος ζητεῖ ὅτι ἀπέσταλκεν πρός με περὶ τῶν γυναικῶν μου καὶ περὶ τῶν υἱῶν μου καὶ περὶ τῶν θυγατέρων μου τὸ ἀργύριόν μου καὶ τὸ χρυσίον μου οὐκ ἀπεκώλυσα ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) 1Ki 20:7 Vocavit autem rex Israël omnes seniores terræ, et ait: Animadvertite, et videte quoniam insidietur nobis: misit enim ad me pro uxoribus meis, et filiis, et pro argento et auro: et non abnui.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:7 Then the King of Israel sent for all the Elders of the land, & sayd, Take heede, I pray you, and see how he seeketh mischiefe: for he sent vnto me for my wiues, and for my children, and for my siluer, and for my golde, and I denyed him not.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:7 Da rief der König Israels alle Ältesten des Landes und sprach: Merkt und seht, wie böse er's vornimmt! Er hat zu mir gesandt um meine Weiber und Kinder, Silber und Gold, und ich hab ihm nichts verweigert.(dhs) 1Ki 20:7 So the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, "Notice, please, and see how this man seeks trouble, for he sent to me for my wives, my children, my silver, and my gold; and I did not deny him."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:8 ============ 1Ki 20:8 All the elders and all the people said to him, "Do not listen or consent."(nas) 1Ki 20:8 καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαός μὴ ἀκούσῃς καὶ μὴ θελήσῃς (lxx) 1Ki 20:8 Dixeruntque omnes majores natu, et universus populus, ad eum: Non audias, neque acquiescas illi.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:8 And all the Elders, and all the people sayd to him, Hearken not vnto him, nor consent.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:8 Da sprachen zu ihm alle Alten und das Volk: Du sollst nicht gehorchen noch bewilligen.(dhs) 1Ki 20:8 And all the elders and all the people said to him, "Do not listen or consent."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:9 ============ 1Ki 20:9 So he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, "Tell my lord the king, 'All that you sent for to your servant at the first I will do, but this thing I cannot do.'" And the messengers departed and brought him word again.(nas) 1Ki 20:9 καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς ἀγγέλοις υἱοῦ Αδερ λέγετε τῷ κυρίῳ ὑμῶν πάντα ὅσα ἀπέσταλκας πρὸς τὸν δοῦλόν σου ἐν πρώτοις ποιήσω τὸ δὲ ῥῆμα τοῦτο οὐ δυνήσομαι ποιῆσαι καὶ ἀπῆραν οἱ ἄνδρες καὶ ἐπέστρεψαν αὐτῷ λόγον (lxx) 1Ki 20:9 Respondit itaque nuntiis Benadad: Dicite domino meo regi: Omnia propter quæ misisti ad me servum tuum in initio, faciam: hanc autem rem facere non possum.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:9 Wherefore hee sayde vnto the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lorde the King, All that thou didddest sende for to thy seruant at the first time, that I will doe, but this thing I may not do; the messengers departed, and brought him an answere.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:9 Und er sprach zu den Boten Benhadads: Sagt meinem Herrn, dem König: Alles, was du am ersten entboten hast, will ich tun; aber dies kann ich nicht tun. Und die Boten gingen hin und sagten solches wieder.(dhs) 1Ki 20:9 Therefore he said to the messengers of Ben-Hadad, "Tell my lord the king, 'All that you sent for to your servant the first time I will do, but this thing I cannot do.' " And the messengers departed and brought back word to him.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:10 ============ 1Ki 20:10 Ben-hadad sent to him and said, "May the gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria will suffice for handfuls for all the people who follow me."(nas) 1Ki 20:10 καὶ ἀνταπέστειλεν πρὸς αὐτὸν υἱὸς Αδερ λέγων τάδε ποιήσαι μοι ὁ θεὸς καὶ τάδε προσθείη εἰ ἐκποιήσει ὁ χοῦς Σαμαρείας ταῖς ἀλώπεξιν παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τοῖς πεζοῖς μου (lxx) 1Ki 20:10 Reversique nuntii retulerunt ei. Qui remisit, et ait: Hæc faciant mihi dii, et hæc addant, si suffecerit pulvis Samariæ pugillis omnis populi qui sequitur me.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:10 And Ben-hadad sent vnto him, and sayde, The gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria be ynough to all the people that follow me, for euery man an handfull.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:10 Da sandte Benhadad zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Die Götter tun mir dies und das, wo der Staub Samarias genug sein soll, daß alles Volk unter mir eine Handvoll davon bringe.(dhs) 1Ki 20:10 Then Ben-Hadad sent to him and said, "The gods do so to me, and more also, if enough dust is left of Samaria for a handful for each of the people who follow me."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:11 ============ 1Ki 20:11 Then the king of Israel replied, "Tell him, 'Let not him who girds on his armor boast like him who takes it off.'"(nas) 1Ki 20:11 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν ἱκανούσθω μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ κυρτὸς ὡς ὁ ὀρθός (lxx) 1Ki 20:11 Et respondens rex Israël, ait: Dicite ei: Ne glorietur, accinctus æque ut discinctus.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:11 And the King of Israel answered, and sayd, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth his harneis, boast himselfe, as he that putteth it off.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:11 Aber der König Israels antwortete und sprach: Sagt: Der den Harnisch anlegt, soll sich nicht rühmen wie der, der ihn hat abgelegt.(dhs) 1Ki 20:11 So the king of Israel answered and said, "Tell him, 'Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.' "(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:12 ============ 1Ki 20:12 When Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking with the kings in the temporary shelters, he said to his servants, "Station yourselves." So they stationed themselves against the city. (nas) 1Ki 20:12 καὶ ἐγένετο ὅτε ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ τὸν λόγον τοῦτον πίνων ἦν αὐτὸς καὶ πάντες οἱ βασιλεῖς μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν σκηναῖς καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ οἰκοδομήσατε χάρακα καὶ ἔθεντο χάρακα ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν (lxx) 1Ki 20:12 Factum est autem cum audisset Benadad verbum istud, bibebat ipse et reges in umbraculis: et ait servis suis: Circumdate civitatem. Et circumdederunt eam.~(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:12 And when he heard that tidings, as he was with the Kings drinking in the pauilions, he sayd vnto his seruants, Bring forth your engines, and they set them against the citie.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:12 Da das Benhadad hörte und er eben trank mit den Königen in den Gezelten, sprach er zu seinen Knechten: Schickt euch! Und sie schickten sich wider die Stadt.(dhs) 1Ki 20:12 And it happened when Ben-Hadad heard this message, as he and the kings were drinking at the command post, that he said to his servants, "Get ready." And they got ready to attack the city.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:13 ============ 1Ki 20:13 Now behold, a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel and said, "Thus says the Lord, 'Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver them into your hand today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.'"(nas) 1Ki 20:13 καὶ ἰδοὺ προφήτης εἷς προσῆλθεν τῷ βασιλεῖ Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰ ἑόρακας πάντα τὸν ὄχλον τὸν μέγαν τοῦτον ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ δίδωμι αὐτὸν σήμερον εἰς χεῖρας σάς καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος (lxx) 1Ki 20:13 Et ecce propheta unus accedens ad Achab regem Israël, ait ei: Hæc dicit Dominus: Certe vidisti omnem multitudinem hanc nimiam? ecce ego tradam eam in manu tua hodie, ut scias quia ego sum Dominus.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:13 And beholde, there came a Prophet vnto Ahab King of Israel, saying, Thus sayeth the Lorde, Hast thou seene all this great multitude? So he said, "Thus says the Lord, 'By the young men of the rulers of the provinces.'" Then he said, "Who shall begin the battle?" And he answered, "You."(nas) 1Ki 20:14 καὶ εἶπεν Αχααβ ἐν τίνι καὶ εἶπεν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐν τοῖς παιδαρίοις τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν καὶ εἶπεν Αχααβ τίς συνάψει τὸν πόλεμον καὶ εἶπεν σύ 1Ki 20:14 Et ait Achab: Per quem? Dixitque ei: Hæc dicit Dominus: Per pedissequos principum provinciarum. Et ait: Quis incipiet præliari? Et ille dixit: Tu.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:14 And Ahab sayd, By whome? And he sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, By the seruants of the princes of the prouinces. He sayde againe, Who shall order the battel? And he answered, Thou.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:14 Ahab sprach: Durch wen? And he answered, "You."(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:15 ============ 1Ki 20:15 Then he mustered the young men of the rulers of the provinces, and there were 232; and after them he mustered all the people, even all the sons of Israel, 7,000.(nas) 1Ki 20:15 καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Αχααβ τὰ παιδάρια τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν καὶ ἐγένοντο διακόσιοι καὶ τριάκοντα καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐπεσκέψατο τὸν λαόν πᾶν υἱὸν δυνάμεως ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδας (lxx) 1Ki 20:15 Recensuit ergo pueros principum provinciarum, et reperit numerum ducentorum triginta duorum: et recensuit post eos populum, omnes filios Israël, septem millia.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:15 Then he nombred the seruantes of the princes of the prouinces, and they were two hundreth, two and thirtie: and after them he nombred the whole people of all the children of Israel, euen seuen thousand.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:15 Da zählte er die Landvögte, und ihrer waren zweihundertzweiunddreißig, und zählte nach ihnen das Volk aller Kinder Israel, siebentausend Mann.(dhs) 1Ki 20:15 Then he mustered the young leaders of the provinces, and there were two hundred and thirty-two; and after them he mustered all the people, all the children of Israel--seven thousand.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:16 ============ 1Ki 20:16 They went out at noon, while Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the temporary shelters with the thirty-two kings who helped him.(nas) 1Ki 20:16 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν μεσημβρίας καὶ υἱὸς Αδερ πίνων μεθύων ἐν Σοκχωθ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς τριάκοντα καὶ δύο βασιλεῖς συμβοηθοὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ 1Ki 20:16 Et egressi sunt meridie. Benadad autem bibebat temulentus in umbraculo suo, et reges triginta duo cum eo, qui ad auxilium ejus venerant.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:16 And they went out at noone: but Ben-hadad did drinke till he was drunken in the tentes, both he and the Kings: for two and thirtie Kings helped him.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:16 Und sie zogen aus am Mittag. Benhadad aber trank und war trunken im Gezelt samt den zweiunddreißig Königen, die ihm zu Hilfe gekommen waren.(dhs) 1Ki 20:16 So they went out at noon. Meanwhile Ben-Hadad and the thirty-two kings helping him were getting drunk at the command post.(nkjv) ======= 1 Kings 20:17 ============ 1Ki 20:17 The young men of the rulers of the provinces went out first; and Ben-hadad sent out and they told him, saying, "Men have come out from Samaria."(nas) 1Ki 20:17 καὶ ἐξῆλθον παιδάρια ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν ἐν πρώτοις καὶ ἀποστέλλουσιν καὶ ἀπαγγέλλουσιν τῷ βασιλεῖ Συρίας λέγοντες ἄνδρες ἐξεληλύθασιν ἐκ Σαμαρείας (lxx) 1Ki 20:17 Egressi sunt autem pueri principum provinciarum in prima fronte. Misit itaque Benadad: qui nuntiaverunt ei, dicentes: Viri egressi sunt de Samaria.(vulgate) 1 Kings 20:17 So the seruants of the princes of the prouinces went out first: and Ben-hadad sent out, & they shewed him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.(Geneva) 1Ki 20:17 Und die Leute der Landvögte zogen am ersten aus. So he said, "Go, bring him."
