(nas) Isa 24:18 καὶ ἔσται ὁ φεύγων τὸν φόβον ἐμπεσεῖται εἰς τὸν βόθυνον ὁ δὲ ἐκβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ βοθύνου ἁλώσεται ὑπὸ τῆς παγίδος ὅτι θυρίδες ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἠνεῴχθησαν καὶ σεισθήσεται τὰ θεμέλια τῆς γῆς (lxx) Isa 24:18 Et erit: qui fugerit a voce formidinis cadet in foveam; et qui se explicaverit de fovea tenebitur laqueo; quia cataractæ de excelsis apertæ sunt et concutientur fundamenta terræ.(vulgate) Isaiah 24:18 And hee that fleeth from the noyse of the feare, shall fall into the pit: and he that commeth vp out of the pit, shal be taken in the snare: for the windowes from on high are open, & the foundations of the earth doe shake.(Geneva) Isa 24:18 Und ob einer entflöhe vor dem Geschrei des Schreckens, so wird er doch in die Grube fallen; kommt er aus der Grube, so wird er doch im Strick gefangen werden. (nas) Isa 24:20 ἔκλινεν καὶ σεισθήσεται ὡς ὀπωροφυλάκιον ἡ γῆ ὡς ὁ μεθύων καὶ κραιπαλῶν καὶ πεσεῖται καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνηται ἀναστῆναι κατίσχυσεν γὰρ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς ἡ ἀνομία (lxx) Isa 24:20 agitatione agitabitur terra sicut ebrius, et auferetur quasi tabernaculum unius noctis; et gravabit eam iniquitas sua, et corruet, et non adjiciet ut resurgat.(vulgate) Isaiah 24:20 The earth shal reele to and fro like a drunken man, and shall be remooued like a tent, and the iniquitie thereof shall be heauie vpon it: so that it shall fall, and rise no more.(Geneva) Isa 24:20 Die Erde wird taumelm wie ein Trunkener und wird hin und her geworfen wie ein Hängebett; denn ihre Missetat drückt sie, daß sie fallen muß und kann nicht stehenbleiben.(dhs) Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 24:21 ============ Isa 24:21 So it will happen in that day, That the Lord will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth. (nas) Isa 24:21 καὶ ἐπάξει ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ τὸν κόσμον τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τὴν χεῖρα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς (lxx) Isa 24:21 Et erit: in die illa visitabit Dominus super militiam cæli in excelso, et super reges terræ qui sunt super terram;(vulgate) Isaiah 24:21 And in that day shall the Lorde visite the hoste aboue that is on hie, euen the Kinges of the world that are vpon the earth.(Geneva) Isa 24:21 Zu der Zeit wird der HERR heimsuchen das hohe Heer, das in der Höhe ist, und die Könige der Erde, die auf Erden sind,(dhs) Isa 24:21 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 24:22 ============ Isa 24:22 They will be gathered together Like prisoners in the dungeon, And will be confined in prison; And after many days they will be punished. (nas) Isa 24:22 καὶ συνάξουσιν καὶ ἀποκλείσουσιν εἰς ὀχύρωμα καὶ εἰς δεσμωτήριον διὰ πολλῶν γενεῶν ἐπισκοπὴ ἔσται αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 24:22 et congregabuntur in congregatione unius fascis in lacum, et claudentur ibi in carcere, et post multos dies visitabuntur.(vulgate) Isaiah 24:22 And they shall be gathered together, as the prisoners in the pit: and they shal be shut vp in the prison, and after many daies shal they be visited.(Geneva) Isa 24:22 daß sie versammelt werden als Gefangene in die Grube und verschlossen werden im Kerker und nach langer Zeit wieder heimgesucht werden.(dhs) Isa 24:22 They will be gathered together, As prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 24:23 ============ Isa 24:23 Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders. (nas) Isa 24:23 καὶ τακήσεται ἡ πλίνθος καὶ πεσεῖται τὸ τεῖχος ὅτι βασιλεύσει κύριος ἐν Σιων καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐνώπιον τῶν πρεσβυτέρων δοξασθήσεται (lxx) Isa 24:23 Et erubescet luna, et confundetur sol, cum regnaverit Dominus exercituum in monte Sion et in Jerusalem et in conspectu senum suorum fuerit glorificatus.](vulgate) Isaiah 24:23 Then the moone shal be abashed, and the sunne ashamed, when the Lorde of hostes shall reigne in mount Zion and in Ierusalem: and glory shalbe before his ancient men.(Geneva) Isa 24:23 Und der Mond wird sich schämen, und die Sonne mit Schanden bestehen, wenn der HERR Zebaoth König sein wird auf dem Berge Zion und zu Jerusalem und vor seinen Ältesten in der Herrlichkeit.(dhs) Isa 24:23 Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the Lord of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 25:1 ============ Isa 25:1 O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
