(nas) Isa 37:3 καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει Εζεκιας ἡμέρα θλίψεως καὶ ὀνειδισμοῦ καὶ ἐλεγμοῦ καὶ ὀργῆς ἡ σήμερον ἡμέρα ὅτι ἥκει ἡ ὠδὶν τῇ τικτούσῃ ἰσχὺν δὲ οὐκ ἔχει τοῦ τεκεῖν (lxx) Isa 37:3 et dixerunt ad eum: Hæc dicit Ezechias: Dies tribulationis, et correptionis, et blasphemiæ, dies hæc; quia venerunt filii usque ad partum, et virtus non est pariendi.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:3 And they sayd vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke and blasphemie: for the children are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.(Geneva) Isa 37:3 daß sie zu ihm sprächen: So spricht Hiskia: Das ist ein Tag der Trübsal, des Scheltens und Lästerns, und es geht, gleich als wenn die Kinder bis an die Geburt gekommen sind und ist keine Kraft da, zu gebären.(dhs) Isa 37:3 And they said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah: 'This day is a day of trouble and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:4 ============ Isa 37:4 Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.'"(nas) Isa 37:4 εἰσακούσαι κύριος ὁ θεός σου τοὺς λόγους Ραψακου οὓς ἀπέστειλεν βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων ὀνειδίζειν θεὸν ζῶντα καὶ ὀνειδίζειν λόγους οὓς ἤκουσεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου καὶ δεηθήσῃ πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν σου περὶ τῶν καταλελειμμένων τούτων (lxx) Isa 37:4 Si quomodo audiat Dominus Deus tuus verba Rabsacis, quem misit rex Assyriorum dominus suus ad blasphemandum Deum viventem et exprobrandum sermonibus quos audivit Dominus Deus tuus: leva ergo orationem pro reliquiis quæ repertæ sunt.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:4 If so be the Lorde thy God hath heard the wordes of Rabshakeh, whom the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.(Geneva) Isa 37:4 Daß doch der HERR, dein Gott, hören wollte die Worte des Erzschenken, welchen sein Herr, der König von Assyrien, gesandt hat, zu lästern den lebendigen Gott und zu schelten mit solchen Worten, wie der HERR, dein Gott, gehört hat! Und du wollest ein Gebet erheben für die übrigen, die noch vorhanden sind.(dhs) Isa 37:4 It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. (nas) Isa 37:5 καὶ ἦλθον οἱ παῖδες τοῦ βασιλέως πρὸς Ησαιαν (lxx) Isa 37:5 Et venerunt servi regis Ezechiæ ad Isaiam.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:5 So the seruants of the King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.(Geneva) Isa 37:5 Und die Knechte des Königs Hiskia kamen zu Jesaja.(dhs) Isa 37:5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:6 ============ Isa 37:6 Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to your master, 'Thus says the Lord, "Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. (nas) Isa 37:6 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ησαιας οὕτως ἐρεῖτε πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὑμῶν τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπὸ τῶν λόγων ὧν ἤκουσας οὓς ὠνείδισάν με οἱ πρέσβεις βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων (lxx) Isa 37:6 Et dixit ad eos Isaias: Hæc dicetis domino vestro: Hæc dicit Dominus: Ne timeas a facie verborum quæ audisti, quibus blasphemaverunt pueri regis Assyriorum me.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:6 And Isaiah sayde vnto them, Thus say vnto your master, Thus saith the Lorde, Be not afrayd of the wordes that thou hast heard, wherewith the seruants of the king of Asshur haue blasphemed me.(Geneva) Isa 37:6 Jesaja aber sprach: So saget eurem Herrn: Der HERR spricht also: Fürchte dich nicht vor den Worten, die du gehört hast, mit welchen mich die Knechte des Königs von Assyrien geschmäht haben.(dhs) Isa 37:6 And Isaiah said to them, "Thus shall you say to your master, 'Thus says the Lord: "Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:7 ============ Isa 37:7 Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land."'"(nas) Isa 37:7 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐμβαλῶ εἰς αὐτὸν πνεῦμα καὶ ἀκούσας ἀγγελίαν ἀποστραφήσεται εἰς τὴν χώραν αὐτοῦ καὶ πεσεῖται μαχαίρᾳ ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Isa 37:7 Ecce ego dabo ei spiritum, et audiet nuntium, et revertetur ad terram suam, et corruere eum faciam gladio in terra sua.~(vulgate) Isaiah 37:7 Beholde, I wil send a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne land, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his owne land.(Geneva) Isa 37:7 Siehe, ich will ihm einen anderen Mut machen, und er soll etwas hören, daß er wieder heimziehe in sein Land; und will ihn durchs Schwert fällen in seinem Lande.(dhs) Isa 37:7 Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land." ' "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:8 ============ Isa 37:8 Then Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah, for he had heard that the king had left Lachish. (nas) Isa 37:8 καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Ραψακης καὶ κατέλαβεν πολιορκοῦντα τὸν βασιλέα Λομναν καὶ ἤκουσεν βασιλεὺς Ἀσσυρίων ὅτι (lxx) Isa 37:8 Reversus est autem Rabsaces, et invenit regem Assyriorum præliantem adversus Lobnam: audierat enim quia profectus esset de Lachis.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:8 So Rabshakeh returned, and found the King of Asshur fighting against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.(Geneva) Isa 37:8 Da aber der Erzschenke wiederkam, fand er den König von Assyrien streiten wider Libna; denn er hatte gehört, daß er gen Lachis gezogen war.(dhs) Isa 37:8 Then the Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, for he heard that he had departed from Lachish.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:9 ============ Isa 37:9 When he heard them say concerning Tirhakah king of Cush," He has come out to fight against you," and when he heard it he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, (nas) Isa 37:9 ἐξῆλθεν Θαρακα βασιλεὺς Αἰθιόπων πολιορκῆσαι αὐτόν καὶ ἀκούσας ἀπέστρεψεν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους πρὸς Εζεκιαν λέγων (lxx) Isa 37:9 Et audivit de Tharaca rege Æthiopiæ, dicentes: Egressus est ut pugnet contra te. Quod cum audisset, misit nuntios ad Ezechiam, dicens:(vulgate) Isaiah 37:9 He heard also men say of Tirhakah, King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: and when he heard it, he sent other messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(Geneva) Isa 37:9 Und es kam ein Gerücht von Thirhaka, der Mohren König, sagend: Er ist ausgezogen, wider dich zu streiten.(dhs) Isa 37:9 And the king heard concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, "He has come out to make war with you." So when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:10 ============ Isa 37:10 "Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah, 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."(nas) Isa 37:10 οὕτως ἐρεῖτε Εζεκια βασιλεῖ τῆς Ιουδαίας μή σε ἀπατάτω ὁ θεός σου ἐφ᾽ ᾧ πεποιθὼς εἶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ λέγων οὐ μὴ παραδοθῇ Ιερουσαλημ εἰς χεῖρας βασιλέως Ἀσσυρίων (lxx) Isa 37:10 Hæc dicetis Ezechiæ regi Judæ, loquentes: Non te decipiat Deus tuus in quo tu confidis, dicens: Non dabitur Jerusalem in manu regis Assyriorum.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:10 Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, saying, Let not thy God deceiue thee, in whom thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shal not be giuen into the hand of the King of Asshur.(Geneva) Isa 37:10 Da er nun solches hörte, sandte er Boten zu Hiskia und ließ ihm sagen: Sagt Hiskia, dem König Juda's, also: Laß dich deinen Gott nicht betrügen, auf den du dich verläßt und sprichst: Jerusalem wird nicht in die Hand des Königs von Assyrien gegeben werden.(dhs) Isa 37:10 "Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying: 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:11 ============ Isa 37:11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. So will you be spared? (nas) Isa 37:11 ἢ οὐκ ἤκουσας ἃ ἐποίησαν βασιλεῖς Ἀσσυρίων πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ὡς ἀπώλεσαν (lxx) Isa 37:11 Ecce tu audisti omnia quæ fecerunt reges Assyriorum omnibus terris, quas subverterunt: et tu poteris liberari?(vulgate) Isaiah 37:11 Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all lands in destroying them, and shalt thou be deliuered?(Geneva) Isa 37:11 Siehe, du hast gehört, was die Könige von Assyrien getan haben allen Landen und sie verbannt; und du solltest errettet werden?(dhs) Isa 37:11 Look! You have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by utterly destroying them; and shall you be delivered?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:12 ============ Isa 37:12 Did the gods of those nations which my fathers have destroyed deliver them, even Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and the sons of Eden who were in Telassar? (nas) Isa 37:12 μὴ ἐρρύσαντο αὐτοὺς οἱ θεοὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν οὓς οἱ πατέρες μου ἀπώλεσαν τήν τε Γωζαν καὶ Χαρραν καὶ Ραφες αἵ εἰσιν ἐν χώρᾳ Θεμαδ (lxx) Isa 37:12 Numquid eruerunt eos dii gentium quos subverterunt patres mei, Gozam, et Haram, et Reseph, et filios Eden qui erant in Thalassar?(vulgate) Isaiah 37:12 Haue the gods of the nations deliuered them, which my fathers haue destroyed? as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden, which were at Telassar?(Geneva) Isa 37:12 Haben auch die Götter der Heiden die Lande errettet, welche meine Väter verderbt haben, als Gosan, Haran, Rezeph und die Kinder Edens zu Thelassar?(dhs) Isa 37:12 Have the gods of the nations delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed, Gozan and Haran and Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:13 ============ Isa 37:13 Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, and of Hena and Ivvah?'" "(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:14 ============ Isa 37:14 Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord. You have made heaven and earth. (nas) Isa 37:16 κύριε σαβαωθ ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ τῶν χερουβιν σὺ θεὸς μόνος εἶ πάσης βασιλείας τῆς οἰκουμένης σὺ ἐποίησας τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν (lxx) Isa 37:16 Domine exercituum, Deus Israël, qui sedes super cherubim, tu es Deus solus omnium regnorum terræ: tu fecisti cælum et terram.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:16 O Lorde of hostes, God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.(Geneva) Isa 37:16 HERR Zebaoth, du Gott Israels, der du allein über dem Cherubim sitzest, du bist allein Gott über alle Königreiche auf Erden, du hast Himmel und Erde gemacht.(dhs) Isa 37:16 "O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:17 ============ Isa 37:17 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to reproach the living God. (nas) Isa 37:17 εἰσάκουσον κύριε εἴσβλεψον κύριε καὶ ἰδὲ τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἀπέστειλεν Σενναχηριμ ὀνειδίζειν θεὸν ζῶντα (lxx) Isa 37:17 Inclina, Domine, aurem tuam, et audi; aperi, Domine, oculos tuos, et vide: et audi omnia verba Sennacherib, quæ misit ad blasphemandum Deum viventem.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:17 Encline thine eare, O Lord, and heare: open thine eyes, O Lorde, and see, and heare all the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.(Geneva) Isa 37:17 HERR neige deine Ohren und höre doch; HERR, tue deine Augen auf und siehe doch; höre doch alle die Worte Sanheribs, die er gesandt hat, zu schmähen den lebendigen Gott.(dhs) Isa 37:17 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:18 ============ Isa 37:18 Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have devastated all the countries and their lands, (nas) Isa 37:18 ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας γὰρ ἠρήμωσαν βασιλεῖς Ἀσσυρίων τὴν οἰκουμένην ὅλην καὶ τὴν χώραν αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 37:18 Vere enim, Domine, desertas fecerunt reges Assyriorum terras, et regiones earum,(vulgate) Isaiah 37:18 Trueth it is, O Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed all lands, & their countrey,(Geneva) Isa 37:18 Wahr ist es, HERR, die Könige von Assyrien haben wüst gemacht alle Königreiche samt ihren Landen(dhs) Isa 37:18 Truly, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their lands,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 37:19 ============ Isa 37:19 and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. (nas) Isa 37:19 καὶ ἐνέβαλον τὰ εἴδωλα αὐτῶν εἰς τὸ πῦρ οὐ γὰρ θεοὶ ἦσαν ἀλλὰ ἔργα χειρῶν ἀνθρώπων ξύλα καὶ λίθοι καὶ ἀπώλεσαν αὐτούς (lxx) Isa 37:19 et dederunt deos earum igni: non enim erant dii, sed opera manuum hominum, lignum et lapis, et comminuerunt eos.(vulgate) Isaiah 37:19 And haue cast their gods in ye fire: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood or stone: therefore they destroyed them.(Geneva) Isa 37:19 und haben ihre Götter ins Feuer geworfen; denn sie waren nicht Götter, sondern Werk von Menschenhänden, Holz und Stein.
