The things that you carry are burdensome, A load for the weary beast. (nas) Isa 46:1 ἔπεσε Βηλ συνετρίβη Δαγων ἐγένετο τὰ γλυπτὰ αὐτῶν εἰς θηρία καὶ κτήνη αἴρετε αὐτὰ καταδεδεμένα ὡς φορτίον κοπιῶντι (lxx) Isa 46:1 [Confractus est Bel, contritus est Nabo; facta sunt simulacra eorum bestiis et jumentis, onera vestra gravi pondere usque ad lassitudinem.(vulgate) Isaiah 46:1 Bel is bowed downe: Nebo is fallen: their idoles were vpon the beastes, and vpon the cattell: they which did beare you, were laden with a wearie burden.(Geneva) Isa 46:1 Der Bel ist gebeugt, der Nebo ist gefallen, ihre Götzen sind den Tieren und dem Vieh zuteil geworden, daß sie sich müde tragen an eurer Last.(dhs) Isa 46:1 Bel bows down, Nebo stoops; Their idols were on the beasts and on the cattle. (nas) Isa 46:5 τίνι με ὡμοιώσατε ἴδετε τεχνάσασθε οἱ πλανώμενοι (lxx) Isa 46:5 Cui assimilastis me, et adæquastis, et comparastis me, et fecistis similem?(vulgate) Isaiah 46:5 To whom will ye make me like or make me equall, or copare me, that I should be like him?(Geneva) Isa 46:5 Nach wem bildet und wem vergleicht ihr mich denn? Gegen wen messet ihr mich, dem ich gleich sein solle?(dhs) Isa 46:5 "To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike?(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 46:6 ============ Isa 46:6 "Those who lavish gold from the purse And weigh silver on the scale Hire a goldsmith, and he makes it into a god; They bow down, indeed they worship it. (nas) Isa 46:6 οἱ συμβαλλόμενοι χρυσίον ἐκ μαρσιππίου καὶ ἀργύριον ἐν ζυγῷ στήσουσιν ἐν σταθμῷ καὶ μισθωσάμενοι χρυσοχόον ἐποίησαν χειροποίητα καὶ κύψαντες προσκυνοῦσιν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Isa 46:6 Qui confertis aurum de sacculo, et argentum statera ponderatis, conducentes aurificem ut faciat deum, et procidunt, et adorant.(vulgate) Isaiah 46:6 They draw gold out of the bagge & weigh siluer in the balance, and hire a goldsmith to make a god of it, and they bowe downe, and worship it.(Geneva) Isa 46:6 Sie schütten das Gold aus dem Beutel und wägen dar das Silber mit der Waage und lohnen dem Goldschmied, daß er einen Gott daraus mache, vor dem sie knieen und anbeten.(dhs) Isa 46:6 They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver on the scales; They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god; They prostrate themselves, yes, they worship.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 46:7 ============ Isa 46:7 "They lift it upon the shoulder and carry it; They set it in its place and it stands there. It does not move from its place. Though one may cry to it, it cannot answer; It cannot deliver him from his distress. (nas) Isa 46:7 αἴρουσιν αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων καὶ πορεύονται ἐὰν δὲ θῶσιν αὐτό ἐπὶ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ μένει οὐ μὴ κινηθῇ καὶ ὃς ἂν βοήσῃ πρὸς αὐτόν οὐ μὴ εἰσακούσῃ ἀπὸ κακῶν οὐ μὴ σώσῃ αὐτόν (lxx) Isa 46:7 Portant illum in humeris gestantes, et ponentes in loco suo, et stabit, ac de loco suo non movebitur: sed et cum clamaverint ad eum, non audiet; de tribulatione non salvabit eos.(vulgate) Isaiah 46:7 They beare it vpon the shoulders: they carie him and set him in his place: so doeth he stand, and cannot remoue from his place.
