Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 28:1 ============ Jer 28:1 Now in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying, (nas) Jer 28:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξεγείρω ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Χαλδαίους ἄνεμον καύσωνα διαφθείροντα (lxx) Jer 28:1 Et factum est in anno illo, in principio regni Sedeciæ regis Juda, in anno quarto, in mense quinto, dixit ad me Hananias filius Azur, propheta de Gabaon, in domo Domini, coram sacerdotibus et omni populo, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:1 And that same yeere in the beginning of the reigne of Zedekiah King of Iudah in the fourth yeere, and in the fifth moneth Hananiah the sonne of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake to mee in the House of the Lorde in the presence of the Priestes, and of all the people, and said,(Geneva) Jer 28:1 Und in demselben Jahr, im Anfang des Königreiches Zedekias, des Königs in Juda, im fünften Monat des vierten Jahres, sprach Hananja, der Sohn Assurs, ein Prophet von Gibeon, zu mir im Hause des HERRN, in Gegenwart der Priester und alles Volks, und sagte:(dhs) Jer 28:1 And it happened in the same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:2 ============ Jer 28:2 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, 'I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. (nas) Jer 28:2 καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ὑβριστάς καὶ καθυβρίσουσιν αὐτὴν καὶ λυμανοῦνται τὴν γῆν αὐτῆς οὐαὶ ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα κυκλόθεν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κακώσεως αὐτῆς (lxx) Jer 28:2 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Contrivi jugum regis Babylonis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:2 Thus speaketh the Lorde of hostes, the God of Israel, saying, I haue broken the yoke of the King of Babel.(Geneva) Jer 28:2 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth der Gott Israels: Ich habe das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrochen;(dhs) Jer 28:2 "Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: 'I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:3 ============ Jer 28:3 Within two years I am going to bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord's house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon. (nas) Jer 28:3 ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν τεινέτω ὁ τείνων τὸ τόξον αὐτοῦ καὶ περιθέσθω ᾧ ἐστιν ὅπλα αὐτῷ καὶ μὴ φείσησθε ἐπὶ νεανίσκους αὐτῆς καὶ ἀφανίσατε πᾶσαν τὴν δύναμιν αὐτῆς (lxx) Jer 28:3 Adhuc duo anni dierum, et ego referri faciam ad locum istum omnia vasa domus Domini, quæ tulit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis de loco isto, et transtulit ea in Babylonem.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:3 Within two yeeres space I will bring into this place all the vessels of the Lords House, that Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel tooke away from this place, and caried them into Babel.(Geneva) Jer 28:3 und ehe zwei Jahre um sind, will ich alle Gefäße des Hauses des HERRN, welche Nebukadnezar, der Könige zu Babel, hat von diesem Ort weggenommen und gen Babel geführt, wiederum an diesen Ort bringen;(dhs) Jer 28:3 Within two full years I will bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:4 ============ Jer 28:4 I am also going to bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah who went to Babylon, 'declares the Lord, 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'"(nas) Jer 28:4 καὶ πεσοῦνται τραυματίαι ἐν γῇ Χαλδαίων καὶ κατακεκεντημένοι ἔξωθεν αὐτῆς (lxx) Jer 28:4 Et Jechoniam filium Joakim regem Juda, et omnem transmigrationem Juda, qui ingressi sunt in Babylonem, ego convertam ad locum istum, ait Dominus: conteram enim jugum regis Babylonis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:4 And I will bring againe to this place Ieconiah the sonne of Iehoiakim King of Iudah, with all them that were caried away captiue of Iudah, and went into Babel, saith the Lorde: for I will breake the yoke of the King of Babel.(Geneva) Jer 28:4 Dazu Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König Juda's samt allen Gefangenen aus Juda, die gen Babel geführt sind, will ich auch wieder an diesen Ort bringen, spricht der HERR; denn ich will das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrechen.(dhs) Jer 28:4 And I will bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah who went to Babylon,' says the Lord, 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:5 ============ Jer 28:5 Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord, (nas) Jer 28:5 διότι οὐκ ἐχήρευσεν Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδας ἀπὸ θεοῦ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ κυρίου παντοκράτορος ὅτι ἡ γῆ αὐτῶν ἐπλήσθη ἀδικίας ἀπὸ τῶν ἁγίων Ισραηλ (lxx) Jer 28:5 Et dixit Jeremias propheta ad Hananiam prophetam, in oculis sacerdotum, et in oculis omnis populi qui stabat in domo Domini:(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:5 Then the Prophet Ieremiah saide vnto the Prophet Hananiah in the presence of ye Priests, and in the presence of all the people that stoode in the House of the Lorde.(Geneva) Jer 28:5 Da sprach der Prophet Jeremia zu dem Propheten Hananja in der Gegenwart der Priester und des ganzen Volks, die im Hause des HERRN standen,(dhs) Jer 28:5 Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who stood in the house of the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:6 ============ Jer 28:6 and the prophet Jeremiah said, "Amen! May the Lord do so; may the Lord confirm your words which you have prophesied to bring back the vessels of the Lord's house and all the exiles, from Babylon to this place. (nas) Jer 28:6 φεύγετε ἐκ μέσου Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἀνασῴζετε ἕκαστος τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ ἀπορριφῆτε ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτῆς ὅτι καιρὸς ἐκδικήσεως αὐτῆς ἐστιν παρὰ κυρίου ἀνταπόδομα αὐτὸς ἀνταποδίδωσιν αὐτῇ (lxx) Jer 28:6 et ait Jeremias propheta: Amen! sic faciat Dominus: suscitet Dominus verba tua quæ prophetasti, ut referantur vasa in domum Domini, et omnis transmigratio de Babylone ad locum istum.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:6 Euen the Prophet Ieremiah sayde, So bee it: the Lord so doe, the Lord confirme thy words which thou hast prophecied to restore the vessels of the Lordes House, and al that is caried captiue, from Babel, into this place.(Geneva) Jer 28:6 und sagte: Amen! Der HERR tue also; der HERR bestätige dein Wort, das du geweissagt hast, daß er die Gefäße aus dem Hause des HERRN von Babel wieder bringe an diesen Ort samt allen Gefangenen.(dhs) Jer 28:6 and the prophet Jeremiah said, "Amen! The Lord do so; the Lord perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the Lord's house and all who were carried away captive, from Babylon to this place.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:7 ============ Jer 28:7 Yet hear now this word which I am about to speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people! (nas) Jer 28:7 ποτήριον χρυσοῦν Βαβυλὼν ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου μεθύσκον πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ τοῦ οἴνου αὐτῆς ἐπίοσαν ἔθνη διὰ τοῦτο ἐσαλεύθησαν (lxx) Jer 28:7 Verumtamen audi verbum hoc quod ego loquor in auribus tuis, et in auribus universi populi:(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:7 But heare thou now this worde that I will speake in thine eares and in the eares of all the people.(Geneva) Jer 28:7 Aber doch höre auch dies Wort, das ich vor deinen Ohren rede und vor den Ohren des ganzen Volks:(dhs) Jer 28:7 Nevertheless hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people:(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:8 ============ Jer 28:8 The prophets who were before me and before you from ancient times prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war and of calamity and of pestilence. (nas) Jer 28:8 καὶ ἄφνω ἔπεσεν Βαβυλὼν καὶ συνετρίβη θρηνεῖτε αὐτήν λάβετε ῥητίνην τῇ διαφθορᾷ αὐτῆς εἴ πως ἰαθήσεται (lxx) Jer 28:8 prophetæ qui fuerunt ante me et ante te, ab initio, et prophetaverunt super terras multas et super regna magna de prælio, et de afflictione, et de fame:(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:8 The Prophets that haue beene before mee and before thee in time past, prophecied against many countreyes, and against great kingdomes, of warre, and of plagues, and of pestilence.(Geneva) Jer 28:8 Die Propheten, die vor mir und vor dir gewesen sind von alters her, die haben wider viel Länder und Königreiche geweissagt von Krieg, von Unglück und von Pestilenz;(dhs) Jer 28:8 The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries and great kingdoms--of war and disaster and pestilence.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:9 ============ Jer 28:9 The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, then that prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent."(nas) Jer 28:9 ἰατρεύσαμεν τὴν Βαβυλῶνα καὶ οὐκ ἰάθη ἐγκαταλίπωμεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἀπέλθωμεν ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἤγγισεν εἰς οὐρανὸν τὸ κρίμα αὐτῆς ἐξῆρεν ἕως τῶν ἄστρων (lxx) Jer 28:9 propheta qui vaticinatus est pacem, cum venerit verbum ejus, scietur propheta quem misit Dominus in veritate.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:9 And the Prophet which prophecieth of peace, when the word of the Prophet shall come to passe, then shall the Prophet be knowen that the Lorde hath truely sent him.(Geneva) Jer 28:9 wenn aber ein Prophet von Frieden weissagt, den wird man kennen, ob ihn der HERR wahrhaftig gesandt hat, wenn sein Wort erfüllt wird.(dhs) Jer 28:9 As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:10 ============ Jer 28:10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke it. (nas) Jer 28:10 ἐξήνεγκεν κύριος τὸ κρίμα αὐτοῦ δεῦτε καὶ ἀναγγείλωμεν εἰς Σιων τὰ ἔργα κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν (lxx) Jer 28:10 Et tulit Hananias propheta catenam de collo Jeremiæ prophetæ, et confregit eam.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:10 Then Hananiah the Prophet tooke the yoke from the Prophet Ieremiahs necke, and brake it.(Geneva) Jer 28:10 Da nahm Hananja das Joch vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach es.(dhs) Jer 28:10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke off the prophet Jeremiah's neck and broke it.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:11 ============ Jer 28:11 Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, "Thus says the Lord, 'Even so will I break within two full years the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations.'" Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way. (nas) Jer 28:11 παρασκευάζετε τὰ τοξεύματα πληροῦτε τὰς φαρέτρας ἤγειρεν κύριος τὸ πνεῦμα βασιλέως Μήδων ὅτι εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ἡ ὀργὴ αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτήν ὅτι ἐκδίκησις κυρίου ἐστίν ἐκδίκησις λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐστιν (lxx) Jer 28:11 Et ait Hananias in conspectu omnis populi, dicens: Hæc dicit Dominus: Sic confringam jugum Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, post duos annos dierum de collo omnium gentium.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the Lorde, Euen so will I breake the yoke of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, from the necke of al nations within the space of two yeres: and the Prophet Ieremiah went his way.(Geneva) Jer 28:11 Und Hananja sprach in Gegenwart des ganzen Volks: So spricht der HERR: Ebenso will ich zerbrechen das Joch Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, ehe zwei Jahre um kommen, vom Halse aller Völker. Und der Prophet Jeremia ging seines Weges.(dhs) Jer 28:11 And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, "Thus says the Lord: 'Even so I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years.' " And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:12 ============ Jer 28:12 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, (nas) Jer 28:12 ἐπὶ τειχέων Βαβυλῶνος ἄρατε σημεῖον ἐπιστήσατε φαρέτρας ἐγείρατε φυλακάς ἑτοιμάσατε ὅπλα ὅτι ἐνεχείρησεν καὶ ποιήσει κύριος ἃ ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Βαβυλῶνα (lxx) Jer 28:12 Et abiit Jeremias propheta in viam suam. Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam, postquam confregit Hananias propheta catenam de collo Jeremiæ, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:12 Then the word of the Lorde came vnto Ieremiah the Prophet, (after that Hananiah the Prophet had broken the yoke from the necke of the Prophet Ieremiah) saying,(Geneva) Jer 28:12 Aber des HERRN Wort geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja das Joch zerbrochen hatte vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und sprach:(dhs) Jer 28:12 Now the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:13 ============ Jer 28:13 "Go and speak to Hananiah, saying, 'Thus says the Lord, "You have broken the yokes of wood, but you have made instead of them yokes of iron."(nas) Jer 28:13 κατασκηνοῦντας ἐφ᾽ ὕδασι πολλοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ πλήθει θησαυρῶν αὐτῆς ἥκει τὸ πέρας σου ἀληθῶς εἰς τὰ σπλάγχα σου (lxx) Jer 28:13 Vade, et dices Hananiæ: Hæc dicit Dominus: Catenas ligneas contrivisti, et facies pro eis catenas ferreas.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:13 Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus sayth the Lord, Thou hast broken the yokes of wood, but thou shalt make for them yokes of yron.(Geneva) Jer 28:13 Geh hin und sage Hananja: So spricht der HERR: Du hast das hölzerne Joch zerbrochen und hast nun ein eisernes Joch an jenes Statt gemacht.(dhs) Jer 28:13 "Go and tell Hananiah, saying, 'Thus says the Lord: "You have broken the yokes of wood, but you have made in their place yokes of iron."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:14 ============ Jer 28:14 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, "I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. And I have also given him the beasts of the field."'"(nas) Jer 28:14 ὅτι ὤμοσεν κύριος κατὰ τοῦ βραχίονος αὐτοῦ διότι πληρώσω σε ἀνθρώπων ὡσεὶ ἀκρίδων καὶ φθέγξονται ἐπὶ σὲ οἱ καταβαίνοντες (lxx) Jer 28:14 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Jugum ferreum posui super collum cunctarum gentium istarum, ut serviant Nabuchodonosor regi Babylonis, et servient ei: insuper et bestias terræ dedi ei.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:14 For thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, I haue put a yoke of yron vpon the necke of all these nations, that they may serue Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel: for they shall serue him, and I haue giuen him the beasts of the fielde also.(Geneva) Jer 28:14 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Ein eisernes Joch habe ich allen diesen Völkern an den Hals gehängt, damit sie dienen sollen Nebukadnezar, dem König zu Babel, und müssen ihm dienen; denn ich habe ihm auch die wilden Tiere gegeben.(dhs) Jer 28:14 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: "I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him. ' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:15 ============ Jer 28:15 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet, "Listen now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie. (nas) Jer 28:15 ποιῶν γῆν ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ ἑτοιμάζων οἰκουμένην ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ συνέσει αὐτοῦ ἐξέτεινεν τὸν οὐρανόν (lxx) Jer 28:15 Et dixit Jeremias propheta ad Hananiam prophetam: Audi, Hanania: non misit te Dominus, et tu confidere fecisti populum istum in mendacio.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:15 Then sayd the Prophet Ieremiah vnto the Prophet Hananiah, Heare nowe Hananiah, the Lorde hath not sent thee, but thou makest this people to trust in a lye.(Geneva) Jer 28:15 Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zum Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja! Der HERR hat dich nicht gesandt, und du hast gemacht, daß dies Volk auf Lügen sich verläßt.(dhs) Jer 28:15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, "Hear now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:16 ============ Jer 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord, 'Behold, I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This year you are going to die, because you have counseled rebellion against the Lord.'"(nas) Jer 28:16 εἰς φωνὴν ἔθετο ἦχος ὕδατος ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ἀνήγαγεν νεφέλας ἀπ᾽ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς ἀστραπὰς εἰς ὑετὸν ἐποίησεν καὶ ἐξήγαγεν φῶς ἐκ θησαυρῶν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jer 28:16 Idcirco hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce ego mittam te a facie terræ: hoc anno morieris: adversum enim Dominum locutus es.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lorde, Beholde, I will cast thee from of the earth: this yeere thou shalt die, because thou hast spoken rebelliously against the Lord.(Geneva) Jer 28:16 Darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich will dich vom Erdboden nehmen; dies Jahr sollst du sterben; denn du hast sie mit deiner Rede vom HERRN abgewendet.(dhs) Jer 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord: 'Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have taught rebellion against the Lord.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:17 ============ Jer 28:17 So Hananiah the prophet died in the same year in the seventh month. (nas) Jer 28:17 ἐμωράνθη πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ἀπὸ γνώσεως κατῃσχύνθη πᾶς χρυσοχόος ἀπὸ τῶν γλυπτῶν αὐτοῦ ὅτι ψευδῆ ἐχώνευσαν οὐκ ἔστιν πνεῦμα ἐν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Jer 28:17 Et mortuus est Hananias propheta in anno illo, mense septimo.(vulgate) Jeremiah 28:17 So Hananiah the Prophet dyed the same yeere in the seuenth moneth.(Geneva) Jer 28:17 Also starb der Prophet Hananja desselben Jahres im siebenten Monat.(dhs) Jer 28:17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 29:1 ============ Jer 29:1 Now these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the rest of the elders of the exile, the priests, the prophets and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. (nas) Jer 29:1 ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους (lxx) Jer 29:1 Et hæc sunt verba libri quem misit Jeremias propheta de Jerusalem ad reliquias seniorum transmigrationis, et ad sacerdotes, et ad prophetas, et ad omnem populum quem traduxerat Nabuchodonosor de Jerusalem in Babylonem,(vulgate) Jeremiah 29:1 Now these are the wordes of the booke that Ieremiah the Prophet sent from Ierusalem vnto the residue of the Elders which were caryed away captiues, and to the Priestes, and to the Prophets, and to all the people whome Nebuchad-nezzar had caried away captiue from Ierusalem to Babel:(Geneva) Jer 29:1 Dies sind die Worte in dem Brief, den der Prophet Jeremia sandte von Jerusalem an die übrigen Ältesten, die weggeführt waren, und an die Priester und Propheten und an das ganze Volk, das Nebukadnezar von Jerusalem hatte weggeführt gen Babel(dhs) Jer 29:1 Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the remainder of the elders who were carried away captive--to the priests, the prophets, and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon.(nkjv) |
