Today's Date: ======= Zechariah 8:1 ============ Zec 8:1 Then the word of the Lord of hosts came, saying, (nas) Zec 8:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου παντοκράτορος λέγων (lxx) Zec 8:1 Et factum est verbum Domini exercituum, dicens:(vulgate) Zechariah 8:1 Againe the worde of the Lord of hostes came to me, saying,(Geneva) Zec 8:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Zec 8:1 Again the word of the Lord of hosts came, saying,(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:2 ============ Zec 8:2 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am jealous for her.'(nas) Zec 8:2 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐζήλωσα τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὴν Σιων ζῆλον μέγαν καὶ θυμῷ μεγάλῳ ἐζήλωσα αὐτήν (lxx) Zec 8:2 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Zelatus sum Sion zelo magno, et indignatione magna zelatus sum eam.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:2 Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I was ielous for Zion with great ielousie, and I was ielous for her with great wrath.(Geneva) Zec 8:2 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich eifere um Zion mit großem Eifer und eifere um sie in großem Zorn.(dhs) Zec 8:2 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; With great fervor I am zealous for her.'(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:3 ============ Zec 8:3 Thus says the Lord, 'I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.'(nas) Zec 8:3 τάδε λέγει κύριος καὶ ἐπιστρέψω ἐπὶ Σιων καὶ κατασκηνώσω ἐν μέσῳ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ κληθήσεται ἡ Ιερουσαλημ πόλις ἡ ἀληθινὴ καὶ τὸ ὄρος κυρίου παντοκράτορος ὄρος ἅγιον (lxx) Zec 8:3 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Reversus sum ad Sion, et habitabo in medio Jerusalem: et vocabitur Jerusalem civitas veritatis, et mons Domini exercituum mons sanctificatus.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:3 Thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Zion, & wil dwel in the mids of Ierusalem: & Ierusalem shalbe called a citie of trueth, & the Mountaine of the Lord of hostes, the holy Mountaine.(Geneva) Zec 8:3 So spricht der HERR: Ich kehre mich wieder zu Zion und will zu Jerusalem wohnen, daß Jerusalem soll eine Stadt der Wahrheit heißen und der Berg des HERRN Zebaoth ein Berg der Heiligkeit.(dhs) Zec 8:3 "Thus says the Lord: 'I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the Lord of hosts, The Holy Mountain.'(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:4 ============ Zec 8:4 Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hand because of age. (nas) Zec 8:4 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἔτι καθήσονται πρεσβύτεροι καὶ πρεσβύτεραι ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις Ιερουσαλημ ἕκαστος τὴν ῥάβδον αὐτοῦ ἔχων ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ πλήθους ἡμερῶν (lxx) Zec 8:4 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Adhuc habitabunt senes et anus in plateis Jerusalem, et viri baculus in manu ejus præ multitudine dierum.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:4 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, There shall yet olde men and olde women dwell in the streetes of Ierusalem, & euery man with his staffe in his hand for very age.(Geneva) Zec 8:4 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es sollen noch fürder wohnen in den Gassen zu Jerusalem alte Männer und Weiber und die an Stecken gehen vor großem Alter;(dhs) Zec 8:4 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Old men and old women shall again sit In the streets of Jerusalem, Each one with his staff in his hand Because of great age.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:5 ============ Zec 8:5 And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.'(nas) Zec 8:5 καὶ αἱ πλατεῖαι τῆς πόλεως πλησθήσονται παιδαρίων καὶ κορασίων παιζόντων ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις αὐτῆς (lxx) Zec 8:5 Et plateæ civitatis complebuntur infantibus et puellis, ludentibus in plateis ejus.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:5 And the streetes of the citie shalbe full of boyes and girles, playing in the streetes thereof.(Geneva) Zec 8:5 und der Stadt Gassen soll sein voll Knaben und Mädchen, die auf ihren Gassen spielen.(dhs) Zec 8:5 The streets of the city Shall be full of boys and girls Playing in its streets.'(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:6 ============ Zec 8:6 Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'If it is too difficult in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be too difficult in My sight?'declares the Lord of hosts. (nas) Zec 8:6 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ διότι εἰ ἀδυνατήσει ἐνώπιον τῶν καταλοίπων τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις μὴ καὶ ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ ἀδυνατήσει λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Zec 8:6 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Si videbitur difficile in oculis reliquiarum populi hujus in diebus illis, numquid in oculis meis difficile erit? dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:6 Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Though it be vnpossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these dayes, should it therefore be vnpossible in my sight, sayth the Lord of hostes?(Geneva) Zec 8:6 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ist solches unmöglich vor den Augen dieses übrigen Volkes zu dieser Zeit, sollte es darum auch unmöglich sein vor meinen Augen? spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(dhs) Zec 8:6 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, Will it also be marvelous in My eyes?' Says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:7 ============ Zec 8:7 Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; (nas) Zec 8:7 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀνασῴζω τὸν λαόν μου ἀπὸ γῆς ἀνατολῶν καὶ ἀπὸ γῆς δυσμῶν (lxx) Zec 8:7 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Ecce ego salvabo populum meum de terra orientis et de terra occasus solis.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:7 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will deliuer my people from the East countrey, and from the West countrey.(Geneva) Zec 8:7 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Siehe, ich will mein Volk erlösen vom Lande gegen Aufgang und vom Lande gegen Niedergang der Sonne;(dhs) Zec 8:7 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east And from the land of the west;(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:8 ============ Zec 8:8 and I will bring them back and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.'(nas) Zec 8:8 καὶ εἰσάξω αὐτοὺς καὶ κατασκηνώσω ἐν μέσῳ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεὸν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ (lxx) Zec 8:8 Et adducam eos, et habitabunt in medio Jerusalem: et erunt mihi in populum, et ego ero eis in Deum, in veritate et in justitia.~(vulgate) Zechariah 8:8 And I wil bring them, & they shal dwel in the mids of Ierusalem, & they shalbe my people, & I wil be their God in trueth, & in righteousnes.(Geneva) Zec 8:8 und will sie herzubringen, daß sie zu Jerusalem wohnen; und sie sollen mein Volk sein, und ich will ihr Gott sein in Wahrheit und Gerechtigkeit.(dhs) Zec 8:8 I will bring them back, And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be My people And I will be their God, In truth and righteousness.'(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:9 ============ Zec 8:9 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets, those who spoke in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, to the end that the temple might be built. (nas) Zec 8:9 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ κατισχυέτωσαν αἱ χεῖρες ὑμῶν τῶν ἀκουόντων ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐκ στόματος τῶν προφητῶν ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας τεθεμελίωται ὁ οἶκος κυρίου παντοκράτορος καὶ ὁ ναὸς ἀφ᾽ οὗ ᾠκοδόμηται (lxx) Zec 8:9 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Confortentur manus vestræ, qui auditis in his diebus sermones istos per os prophetarum, in die qua fundata est domus Domini exercituum, ut templum ædificaretur.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:9 Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Let your hands be strong, ye that heare in these dayes these words by the mouth of the Prophets, which were in the day, that the foundation of the House of the Lord of hostes was laide, that the Temple might be builded.(Geneva) Zec 8:9 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Stärket eure Hände, die ihr höret diese Worte zu dieser Zeit durch der Propheten Mund, des Tages, da der Grund gelegt ist an des HERRN Zebaoth Hause, daß der Tempel gebaut würde.(dhs) Zec 8:9 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Let your hands be strong, You who have been hearing in these days These words by the mouth of the prophets, Who spoke in the day the foundation was laid For the house of the Lord of hosts, That the temple might be built.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:10 ============ Zec 8:10 For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for animal; and for him who went out or came in there was no peace because of his enemies, and I set all men one against another. (nas) Zec 8:10 διότι πρὸ τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐκείνων ὁ μισθὸς τῶν ἀνθρώπων οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ὄνησιν καὶ ὁ μισθὸς τῶν κτηνῶν οὐχ ὑπάρξει καὶ τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ καὶ τῷ εἰσπορευομένῳ οὐκ ἔσται εἰρήνη ἀπὸ τῆς θλίψεως καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἕκαστον ἐπὶ τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Zec 8:10 Siquidem ante dies illos merces hominum non erat, nec merces jumentorum erat: neque introëunti, neque exeunti erat pax præ tribulatione: et dimisi omnes homines, unumquemque contra proximum suum.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:10 For before these dayes there was no hire for man nor any hire for beast, neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men, euery one against his neighbour.(Geneva) Zec 8:10 Denn vor diesen Tagen war der Menschen Arbeit vergebens, und der Tiere Arbeit war nichts, und war kein Friede vor Trübsal denen, die aus und ein zogen; sondern ich ließ alle Menschen gehen, einen jeglichen wider seinen Nächsten.(dhs) Zec 8:10 For before these days There were no wages for man nor any hire for beast; There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came in; For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:11 ============ Zec 8:11 But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days, 'declares the Lord of hosts. (nas) Zec 8:11 καὶ νῦν οὐ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς ἔμπροσθεν ἐγὼ ποιῶ τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Zec 8:11 Nunc autem non juxta dies priores ego faciam reliquiis populi hujus, dicit Dominus exercituum,(vulgate) Zechariah 8:11 But nowe, I wil not intreate the residue of this people as aforetime, saith the Lord of hostes.(Geneva) Zec 8:11 Aber nun will ich nicht wie in den vorigen Tagen mit den übrigen dieses Volkes fahren, spricht der HERR Zebaoth;(dhs) Zec 8:11 'But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:12 ============ Zec 8:12 'For there will be peace for the seed: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things. (nas) Zec 8:12 ἀλλ᾽ ἢ δείξω εἰρήνην ἡ ἄμπελος δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς καὶ ἡ γῆ δώσει τὰ γενήματα αὐτῆς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς δώσει τὴν δρόσον αὐτοῦ καὶ κατακληρονομήσω τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ μου πάντα ταῦτα (lxx) Zec 8:12 sed semen pacis erit: vinea dabit fructum suum, et terra dabit germen suum, et cæli dabunt rorem suum: et possidere faciam reliquias populi hujus universa hæc.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:12 For the seede shall be prosperous: the vine shall giue her fruite, and the ground shal giue her increase, and the heauens shall giue their dewe, and I will cause the remnant of this people to possesse all these things.(Geneva) Zec 8:12 sondern sie sollen Same des Friedens sein. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.'(nas) Zec 8:13 καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον ἦτε ἐν κατάρᾳ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οἶκος Ιουδα καὶ οἶκος Ισραηλ οὕτως διασώσω ὑμᾶς καὶ ἔσεσθε ἐν εὐλογίᾳ θαρσεῖτε καὶ κατισχύετε ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ὑμῶν (lxx) Zec 8:13 Et erit: sicut eratis maledictio in gentibus, domus Juda et domus Israël, sic salvabo vos, et eritis benedictio. Do not fear, Let your hands be strong.'(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:14 ============ Zec 8:14 "For thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Just as I purposed to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath, 'says the Lord of hosts, 'and I have not relented, (nas) Zec 8:14 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ὃν τρόπον διενοήθην τοῦ κακῶσαι ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ παροργίσαι με τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ οὐ μετενόησα (lxx) Zec 8:14 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Sicut cogitavi ut affligerem vos, cum ad iracundiam provocassent patres vestri me, dicit Dominus,(vulgate) Zechariah 8:14 For thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, As I thought to punish you, when your fathers prouoked me vnto wrath, sayth the Lord of hostes, and repented not,(Geneva) Zec 8:14 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Gleichwie ich euch gedachte zu plagen, da mich eure Väter erzürnten, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und es reute mich nicht,(dhs) Zec 8:14 "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Just as I determined to punish you When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,' Says the Lord of hosts, 'And I would not relent,(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:15 ============ Zec 8:15 so I have again purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear! (nas) Zec 8:15 οὕτως παρατέταγμαι καὶ διανενόημαι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις τοῦ καλῶς ποιῆσαι τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιουδα θαρσεῖτε (lxx) Zec 8:15 et non sum misertus: sic conversus cogitavi, in diebus istis, ut benefaciam domui Juda et Jerusalem. Nolite timere.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:15 So againe haue I determined in these daies to doe well vnto Ierusalem, and to the house of Iudah: feare ye not.(Geneva) Zec 8:15 also gedenke ich nun wiederum in diesen Tagen, wohlzutun Jerusalem und dem Hause Juda. Fürchtet euch nur nicht.(dhs) Zec 8:15 So again in these days I am determined to do good To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:16 ============ Zec 8:16 These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates. (nas) Zec 8:16 οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι οὓς ποιήσετε λαλεῖτε ἀλήθειαν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ καὶ κρίμα εἰρηνικὸν κρίνατε ἐν ταῖς πύλαις ὑμῶν (lxx) Zec 8:16 Hæc sunt ergo verba quæ facietis: loquimini veritatem unusquisque cum proximo suo: veritatem et judicium pacis judicate in portis vestris.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:16 These are ye things that ye shall doe. Speake ye euery man the trueth vnto his neighbour: execute iudgement truly & vprightly in your gates,(Geneva) Zec 8:16 Das ist's aber, was ihr tun sollt: Rede einer mit dem andern Wahrheit, und richtet recht, und schafft Frieden in euren Toren;(dhs) Zec 8:16 These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:17 ============ Zec 8:17 Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these are what I hate, 'declares the Lord."(nas) Zec 8:17 καὶ ἕκαστος τὴν κακίαν τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ μὴ λογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν καὶ ὅρκον ψευδῆ μὴ ἀγαπᾶτε διότι ταῦτα πάντα ἐμίσησα λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (lxx) Zec 8:17 Et unusquisque malum contra amicum suum ne cogitetis in cordibus vestris, et juramentum mendax ne diligatis: omnia enim hæc sunt quæ odi, dicit Dominus.~(vulgate) Zechariah 8:17 And let none of you imagine euill in your hearts against his neighbour, and loue no false othe: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lorde.(Geneva) Zec 8:17 und denke keiner Arges in seinem Herzen wider seinen Nächsten, und liebt nicht falsche Eide! denn solches alles hasse ich, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Zec 8:17 Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,' Says the Lord."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:18 ============ Zec 8:18 Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, (nas) Zec 8:18 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κύριου παντοκράτορος πρός με λέγων (lxx) Zec 8:18 Et factum est verbum Domini exercituum ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Zechariah 8:18 And the worde of the Lord of hostes came vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Zec 8:18 Und es geschah des HERRN Zebaoth Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Zec 8:18 Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 8:19 ============ Zec 8:19 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.'(nas) Zec 8:19 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ νηστεία ἡ τετρὰς καὶ νηστεία ἡ πέμπτη καὶ νηστεία ἡ ἑβδόμη καὶ νηστεία ἡ δεκάτη ἔσονται τῷ οἴκῳ Ιουδα εἰς χαρὰν καὶ εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ εἰς ἑορτὰς ἀγαθὰς καὶ εὐφρανθήσεσθε καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειαν καὶ τὴν εἰρήνην ἀγαπήσατε (lxx) Zec 8:19 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Jejunium quarti, et jejunium quinti, et jejunium septimi, et jejunium decimi erit domui Juda in gaudium et lætitiam et in solemnitates præclaras. Veritatem tantum et pacem diligite.(vulgate) Zechariah 8:19 Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, The fast of the fourth moneth, and the fast of the fift, and the fast of the seuenth, & the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Iudah ioy & gladnes, & prosperous hie feasts: therefore loue the trueth & peace.(Geneva) Zec 8:19 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Die Fasten des vierten, fünften, siebenten und zehnten Monats sollen dem Hause Juda zur Freude und Wonne und zu fröhlichen Jahrfesten werden; allein liebet die Wahrheit und Frieden.(dhs) Zec 8:19 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth, The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth, Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah.
