(nkjv) Neh 5:2 Und waren etliche, die da sprachen: Unserer Söhne und Töchter sind viel; laßt uns Getreide nehmen und essen, daß wir leben.(dhs) Neh 5:2 καὶ ἦσάν τινες λέγοντες ἐν υἱοῖς ἡμῶν καὶ ἐν θυγατράσιν ἡμῶν ἡμεῖς πολλοί καὶ λημψόμεθα σῖτον καὶ φαγόμεθα καὶ ζησόμεθα (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:3 ============ Neh 5:3 There were others who said, "We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our houses that we might get grain because of the famine." (nasb) Neh 5:3 There were also some who said, "We have mortgaged our lands and vineyards and houses, that we might buy grain because of the famine." (nkjv) Neh 5:3 Aber etliche sprachen: Laßt uns unsre Äcker, Weinberge und Häuser versetzen und Getreide nehmen in der Teuerung.(dhs) Neh 5:3 καὶ εἰσίν τινες λέγοντες ἀγροὶ ἡμῶν καὶ ἀμπελῶνες ἡμῶν καὶ οἰκίαι ἡμῶν ἡμεῖς διεγγυῶμεν καὶ λημψόμεθα σῖτον καὶ φαγόμεθα (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:4 ============ Neh 5:4 Also there were those who said, "We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our fields and our vineyards. (nasb) Neh 5:4 There were also those who said, "We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our lands and vineyards. (nkjv) Neh 5:4 Etliche aber sprachen: Wir habe Geld entlehnt zum Schoß für den König auf unsre Äcker und Weinberge;(dhs) Neh 5:4 καὶ εἰσίν τινες λέγοντες ἐδανεισάμεθα ἀργύριον εἰς φόρους τοῦ βασιλέως ἀγροὶ ἡμῶν καὶ ἀμπελῶνες ἡμῶν καὶ οἰκίαι ἡμῶν (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:5 ============ Neh 5:5 Now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others." (nasb) Neh 5:5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and indeed we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have been brought into slavery. It is not in our power to redeem them, for other men have our lands and vineyards." (nkjv) Neh 5:5 nun ist doch wie unsrer Brüder Leib auch unser Leib und wie ihre Kinder unsre Kinder, und siehe, wir müssen unsre Söhne und Töchter unterwerfen dem Dienst, und sind schon unsrer Töchter etliche unterworfen, und ist kein Vermögen in unsern Händen, und unsre Äcker und Weinberge sind der andern geworden.(dhs) Neh 5:5 καὶ νῦν ὡς σὰρξ ἀδελφῶν ἡμῶν σὰρξ ἡμῶν ὡς υἱοὶ αὐτῶν υἱοὶ ἡμῶν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς καταδυναστεύομεν τοὺς υἱοὺς ἡμῶν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν εἰς δούλους καὶ εἰσὶν ἀπὸ θυγατέρων ἡμῶν καταδυναστευόμεναι καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν δύναμις χειρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀγροὶ ἡμῶν καὶ ἀμπελῶνες ἡμῶν τοῖς ἐντίμοις (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:6 ============ Neh 5:6 Then I was very angry when I had heard their outcry and these words. (nkjv) Neh 5:6 Da ich aber ihr Schreien und solche Worte hörte, ward ich sehr zornig.(dhs) Neh 5:6 καὶ ἐλυπήθην σφόδρα καθὼς ἤκουσα τὴν κραυγὴν αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς λόγους τούτους (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:7 ============ Neh 5:7 I consulted with myself and contended with the nobles and the rulers and said to them, "You are exacting usury, each from his brother!" Therefore, I held a great assembly against them. (nasb) Neh 5:7 After serious thought, I rebuked the nobles and rulers, and said to them, "Each of you is exacting usury from his brother." So I called a great assembly against them. (nkjv) Neh 5:7 Und mein Herz ward Rats mit mir, daß ich schalt die Ratsherren und die Obersten und sprach zu ihnen: Wollt ihr einer auf den andern Wucher treiben? Und ich brachte die Gemeinde wider sie zusammen(dhs) Neh 5:7 καὶ ἐβουλεύσατο καρδία μου ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ καὶ ἐμαχεσάμην πρὸς τοὺς ἐντίμους καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας καὶ εἶπα αὐτοῖς ἀπαιτήσει ἀνὴρ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ὑμεῖς ἀπαιτεῖτε καὶ ἔδωκα ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἐκκλησίαν μεγάλην (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:8 ============ Neh 5:8 I said to them, "We according to our ability have redeemed our Jewish brothers who were sold to the nations; now would you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us?" Then they were silent and could not find a word to say. (nasb) Neh 5:8 And I said to them, "According to our ability we have redeemed our Jewish brethren who were sold to the nations. Now indeed, will you even sell your brethren? Or should they be sold to us?" Then they were silenced and found nothing to say. (nkjv) Neh 5:8 und sprach zu ihnen: Wir haben unsre Brüder, die Juden, erkauft die den Heiden verkauft waren, nach unserm Vermögen; und ihr wollt auch eure Brüder verkaufen und sie sollen uns verkauft werden? Da schwiegen sie und fanden nichts zu antworten.(dhs) Neh 5:8 καὶ εἶπα αὐτοῖς ἡμεῖς κεκτήμεθα τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἡμῶν τοὺς Ιουδαίους τοὺς πωλουμένους τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν ἑκουσίῳ ἡμῶν καὶ ὑμεῖς πωλεῖτε τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν καὶ ἡσύχασαν καὶ οὐχ εὕροσαν λόγον (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:9 ============ Neh 5:9 Again I said, "The thing which you are doing is not good; should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies? (nasb) Neh 5:9 Then I said, "What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies? (nkjv) Neh 5:9 Und ich sprach: Es ist nicht gut, was ihr tut. Solltet ihr nicht in der Furcht Gottes wandeln um des Hohnes willen der Heiden, unsrer Feinde?(dhs) Neh 5:9 καὶ εἶπα οὐκ ἀγαθὸς ὁ λόγος ὃν ὑμεῖς ποιεῖτε οὐχ οὕτως ἐν φόβῳ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἀπελεύσεσθε ἀπὸ ὀνειδισμοῦ τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν ἐχθρῶν ἡμῶν (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:10 ============ Neh 5:10 And likewise I, my brothers and my servants are lending them money and grain. Please, let us leave off this usury. (nasb) Neh 5:10 I also, with my brethren and my servants, am lending them money and grain. Please, let us stop this usury! (nkjv) Neh 5:10 Ich und meine Brüder und meine Leute haben ihnen auch Geld geliehen und Getreide; laßt uns doch diese Schuld erlassen.(dhs) Neh 5:10 καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου καὶ οἱ γνωστοί μου καὶ ἐγὼ ἐθήκαμεν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἀργύριον καὶ σῖτον ἐγκαταλίπωμεν δὴ τὴν ἀπαίτησιν ταύτην (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:11 ============ Neh 5:11 Please, give back to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive groves and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money and of the grain, the new wine and the oil that you are exacting from them." (nasb) Neh 5:11 Restore now to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their olive groves, and their houses, also a hundredth of the money and the grain, the new wine and the oil, that you have charged them." (nkjv) Neh 5:11 So gebt ihnen nun heute wieder ihre Äcker, Weinberge, Ölgärten und Häuser und den Hundertsten am Geld, am Getreide, am Most und am Öl, den ihr von ihnen zu fordern habt.(dhs) Neh 5:11 ἐπιστρέψατε δὴ αὐτοῖς ὡς σήμερον ἀγροὺς αὐτῶν ἀμπελῶνας αὐτῶν ἐλαίας αὐτῶν καὶ οἰκίας αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀργυρίου τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὸν οἶνον καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον ἐξενέγκατε αὐτοῖς (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:12 ============ Neh 5:12 Then they said, "We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say." So I called the priests and took an oath from them that they would do according to this promise. (nasb) Neh 5:12 So they said, "We will restore it, and will require nothing from them; we will do as you say." Then I called the priests, and required an oath from them that they would do according to this promise. (nkjv) Neh 5:12 Da sprachen sie: Wir wollen's wiedergeben und wollen nichts von ihnen fordern und wollen tun wie du gesagt hast. Und ich rief die Priester und nahm einen Eid von ihnen, daß sie also tun sollten.(dhs) Neh 5:12 καὶ εἶπαν ἀποδώσομεν καὶ παρ᾽ αὐτῶν οὐ ζητήσομεν οὕτως ποιήσομεν καθὼς σὺ λέγεις καὶ ἐκάλεσα τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ ὥρκισα αὐτοὺς ποιῆσαι ὡς τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:13 ============ Neh 5:13 I also shook out the front of my garment and said, "Thus may God shake out every man from his house and from his possessions who does not fulfill this promise; even thus may he be shaken out and emptied." And all the assembly said, "Amen!" And they praised the Lord. Then the people did according to this promise. (nkjv) Neh 5:13 Auch schüttelte ich meinen Busen aus und sprach: Also schüttle Gott aus jedermann von seinem Hause und von seiner Arbeit, der dies Wort nicht handhabt, daß er sei ausgeschüttelt und leer. Und die ganze Gemeinde sprach: Amen! und lobte den HERRN. Und das Volk tat also.(dhs) Neh 5:13 καὶ τὴν ἀναβολήν μου ἐξετίναξα καὶ εἶπα οὕτως ἐκτινάξαι ὁ θεὸς πάντα ἄνδρα ὃς οὐ στήσει τὸν λόγον τοῦτον ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκ κόπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται οὕτως ἐκτετιναγμένος καὶ κενός καὶ εἶπεν πᾶσα ἡ ἐκκλησία αμην καὶ ᾔνεσαν τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐποίησεν ὁ λαὸς τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:14 ============ Neh 5:14 Moreover, from the day that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes, for twelve years, neither I nor my kinsmen have eaten the governor's food allowance. (nkjv) Neh 5:14 Auch von der Zeit an, da mir befohlen ward, ihr Landpfleger zu sein im Lande Juda, nämlich vom zwanzigsten Jahr an bis in das zweiunddreißigste Jahr des Königs Arthahsastha, das sind zwölf Jahre, nährte ich mich und meine Brüder nicht von der Landpfleger Kost.(dhs) Neh 5:14 ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς ἐνετείλατό μοι εἶναι εἰς ἄρχοντα αὐτῶν ἐν γῇ Ιουδα ἀπὸ ἔτους εἰκοστοῦ καὶ ἕως ἔτους τριακοστοῦ καὶ δευτέρου τῷ Αρθασασθα ἔτη δώδεκα ἐγὼ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου βίαν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἔφαγον (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:15 ============ Neh 5:15 But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people and took from them bread and wine besides forty shekels of silver; even their servants domineered the people. But I did not do so because of the fear of God. Ich tat aber nicht also um der Furcht Gottes willen.(dhs) Neh 5:15 καὶ τὰς βίας τὰς πρώτας ἃς πρὸ ἐμοῦ ἐβάρυναν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐλάβοσαν παρ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐν ἄρτοις καὶ ἐν οἴνῳ ἔσχατον ἀργύριον δίδραχμα τεσσαράκοντα καὶ οἱ ἐκτετιναγμένοι αὐτῶν ἐξουσιάζονται ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ οὐκ ἐποίησα οὕτως ἀπὸ προσώπου φόβου θεοῦ (lxx) ======= Nehemiah 5:16 ============ Neh 5:16 I also applied myself to the work on this wall; we did not buy any land, and all my servants were gathered there for the work.
