For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. (nkjv) Psa 42:4 Wenn ich des innewerde, so schütte ich mein Herz aus bei mir selbst; denn ich wollte gerne hingehen mit dem Haufen und mit ihnen wallen zum Hause Gottes mit Frohlocken und Danken unter dem Haufen derer, die da feiern.(dhs) Psa 42:4 ἐγενήθη μοι τὰ δάκρυά μου ἄρτος ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαί μοι καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεός σου (lxx) ======= Psalm 42:5 ============ Psa 42:5 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence. (nasb) Psa 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. (nkjv) Psa 42:5 Was betrübst du dich, meine Seele, und bist so unruhig in mir? Harre auf Gott! denn ich werde ihm noch danken, daß er mir hilft mit seinem Angesicht.(dhs) Psa 42:5 ταῦτα ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἐξέχεα ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν ψυχήν μου ὅτι διελεύσομαι ἐν τόπῳ σκηνῆς θαυμαστῆς ἕως τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν φωνῇ ἀγαλλιάσεως καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως ἤχου ἑορτάζοντος (lxx) ======= Psalm 42:6 ============ Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Jordan And the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. (nkjv) Psa 42:6 Mein Gott, betrübt ist meine Seele in mir; darum gedenke ich an dich im Lande am Jordan und Hermonim, auf dem kleinen Berg.(dhs) Psa 42:6 ἵνα τί περίλυπος εἶ ψυχή καὶ ἵνα τί συνταράσσεις με ἔλπισον ἐπὶ τὸν θεόν ὅτι ἐξομολογήσομαι αὐτῷ σωτήριον τοῦ προσώπου μου ὁ θεός μου (lxx) ======= Psalm 42:7 ============ Psa 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me. (nkjv) Psa 42:7 Deine Fluten rauschen daher, daß hier eine Tiefe und da eine Tiefe brausen; alle deine Wasserwogen und Wellen gehen über mich.(dhs) Psa 42:7 πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐταράχθη διὰ τοῦτο μνησθήσομαί σου ἐκ γῆς Ιορδάνου καὶ Ερμωνιιμ ἀπὸ ὄρους μικροῦ (lxx) ======= Psalm 42:8 ============ Psa 42:8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.
