(nasb) Ecl 1:4 One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever. (nkjv) Ecl 1:4 Ein Geschlecht vergeht, das andere kommt; die Erde aber bleibt ewiglich.(dhs) Ecl 1:4 γενεὰ πορεύεται καὶ γενεὰ ἔρχεται καὶ ἡ γῆ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἕστηκεν (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:5 ============ Ecl 1:5 Also, the sun rises and the sun sets; And hastening to its place it rises there again. (nasb) Ecl 1:5 The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, And hastens to the place where it arose. (nkjv) Ecl 1:5 Die Sonne geht auf und geht unter und läuft an ihren Ort, daß sie wieder daselbst aufgehe.(dhs) Ecl 1:5 καὶ ἀνατέλλει ὁ ἥλιος καὶ δύνει ὁ ἥλιος καὶ εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ ἕλκει (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:6 ============ Ecl 1:6 Blowing toward the south, Then turning toward the north, The wind continues swirling along; And on its circular courses the wind returns. (nasb) Ecl 1:6 The wind goes toward the south, And turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit. (nkjv) Ecl 1:6 Der Wind geht gen Mittag und kommt herum zur Mitternacht und wieder herum an den Ort, da er anfing.(dhs) Ecl 1:6 ἀνατέλλων αὐτὸς ἐκεῖ πορεύεται πρὸς νότον καὶ κυκλοῖ πρὸς βορρᾶν κυκλοῖ κυκλῶν πορεύεται τὸ πνεῦμα καὶ ἐπὶ κύκλους αὐτοῦ ἐπιστρέφει τὸ πνεῦμα (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:7 ============ Ecl 1:7 All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, There they flow again. (nasb) Ecl 1:7 All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come, There they return again. (nkjv) Ecl 1:7 Alle Wasser laufen ins Meer, doch wird das Meer nicht voller; an den Ort, da sie her fließen, fließen sie wieder hin.(dhs) Ecl 1:7 πάντες οἱ χείμαρροι πορεύονται εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἡ θάλασσα οὐκ ἔσται ἐμπιμπλαμένη εἰς τόπον οὗ οἱ χείμαρροι πορεύονται ἐκεῖ αὐτοὶ ἐπιστρέφουσιν τοῦ πορευθῆναι (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:8 ============ Ecl 1:8 All things are wearisome; Man is not able to tell it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor is the ear filled with hearing. (nasb) Ecl 1:8 All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor the ear filled with hearing. (nkjv) Ecl 1:8 Es sind alle Dinge so voll Mühe, daß es niemand ausreden kann. Das Auge sieht sich nimmer satt, und das Ohr hört sich nimmer satt.(dhs) Ecl 1:8 πάντες οἱ λόγοι ἔγκοποι οὐ δυνήσεται ἀνὴρ τοῦ λαλεῖν καὶ οὐκ ἐμπλησθήσεται ὀφθαλμὸς τοῦ ὁρᾶν καὶ οὐ πληρωθήσεται οὖς ἀπὸ ἀκροάσεως (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:9 ============ Ecl 1:9 That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. (nasb) Ecl 1:9 That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. (nkjv) Ecl 1:9 Was ist's, das geschehen ist? Eben das hernach geschehen wird. Was ist's, das man getan hat? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us. (nasb) Ecl 1:10 Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new"? It has already been in ancient times before us. (nkjv) Ecl 1:10 Geschieht auch etwas, davon man sagen möchte: Siehe, das ist neu? Es ist zuvor auch geschehen in den langen Zeiten, die vor uns gewesen sind.(dhs) Ecl 1:10 ὃς λαλήσει καὶ ἐρεῖ ἰδὲ τοῦτο καινόν ἐστιν ἤδη γέγονεν ἐν τοῖς αἰῶσιν τοῖς γενομένοις ἀπὸ ἔμπροσθεν ἡμῶν (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:11 ============ Ecl 1:11 There is no remembrance of earlier things; And also of the later things which will occur, There will be for them no remembrance Among those who will come later still. It is a grievous task which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. (nasb) Ecl 1:13 And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised. (nkjv) Ecl 1:13 und richtete mein Herz zu suchen und zu forschen weislich alles, was man unter dem Himmel tut. Solche unselige Mühe hat Gott den Menschenkindern gegeben, daß sie sich darin müssen quälen.(dhs) Ecl 1:13 καὶ ἔδωκα τὴν καρδίαν μου τοῦ ἐκζητῆσαι καὶ τοῦ κατασκέψασθαι ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ περὶ πάντων τῶν γινομένων ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν ὅτι περισπασμὸν πονηρὸν ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ περισπᾶσθαι ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:14 ============ Ecl 1:14 I have seen all the works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind. (nasb) Ecl 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind. (nasb) Ecl 1:15 What is crooked cannot be made straight, And what is lacking cannot be numbered. (nkjv) Ecl 1:15 Krumm kann nicht schlicht werden noch, was fehlt, gezählt werden.(dhs) Ecl 1:15 διεστραμμένον οὐ δυνήσεται τοῦ ἐπικοσμηθῆναι καὶ ὑστέρημα οὐ δυνήσεται τοῦ ἀριθμηθῆναι (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:16 ============ Ecl 1:16 I said to myself, "Behold, I have magnified and increased wisdom more than all who were over Jerusalem before me; and my mind has observed a wealth of wisdom and knowledge." (nasb) Ecl 1:16 I communed with my heart, saying, "Look, I have attained greatness, and have gained more wisdom than all who were before me in Jerusalem. My heart has understood great wisdom and knowledge." (nkjv) Ecl 1:16 Ich sprach in meinem Herzen: Siehe, ich bin herrlich geworden und habe mehr Weisheit denn alle, die vor mir gewesen sind zu Jerusalem, und mein Herz hat viel gelernt und erfahren.(dhs) Ecl 1:16 ἐλάλησα ἐγὼ ἐν καρδίᾳ μου τῷ λέγειν ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ ἐμεγαλύνθην καὶ προσέθηκα σοφίαν ἐπὶ πᾶσιν οἳ ἐγένοντο ἔμπροσθέν μου ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ καρδία μου εἶδεν πολλά σοφίαν καὶ γνῶσιν (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:17 ============ Ecl 1:17 And I set my mind to know wisdom and to know madness and folly; I realized that this also is striving after wind. (nasb) Ecl 1:17 And I set my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is grasping for the wind. (nkjv) Ecl 1:17 Und richtete auch mein Herz darauf, daß ich erkennte Weisheit und erkennte Tollheit und Torheit. Ich ward aber gewahr, daß solches auch Mühe um Wind ist.(dhs) Ecl 1:17 καὶ ἔδωκα καρδίαν μου τοῦ γνῶναι σοφίαν καὶ γνῶσιν παραβολὰς καὶ ἐπιστήμην ἔγνων ὅτι καί γε τοῦτ᾽ ἔστιν προαίρεσις πνεύματος (lxx) ======= Ecclesiastes 1:18 ============ Ecl 1:18 Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain. (nasb) Ecl 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief, And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
