Today's Date: ======= Hosea 12:1 ============ Hos 12:1 Ephraim feeds on wind, And pursues the east wind continually; He multiplies lies and violence. Moreover, he makes a covenant with Assyria, And oil is carried to Egypt. (nasb) Hos 12:1 "Ephraim feeds on the wind, And pursues the east wind; He daily increases lies and desolation. Also they make a covenant with the Assyrians, And oil is carried to Egypt. (nkjv) Hos 12:1 Ephraim weidet sich am Winde und läuft dem Ostwind nach und macht täglich der Abgötterei und des Schadens mehr; sie machen mit Assur einen Bund und bringen Balsam nach Ägypten.(dhs) Hos 12:1 ὁ δὲ Εφραιμ πονηρὸν πνεῦμα ἐδίωξεν καύσωνα ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν κενὰ καὶ μάταια ἐπλήθυνεν καὶ διαθήκην μετὰ Ἀσσυρίων διέθετο καὶ ἔλαιον εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἐνεπορεύετο (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:2 ============ Hos 12:2 The Lord also has a dispute with Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds. (nasb) Hos 12:2 "The Lord also brings a charge against Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; According to his deeds He will recompense him. (nkjv) Hos 12:2 Darum wird der HERR mit Juda rechten und Jakob heimsuchen nach seinem Wesen und ihm vergelten nach seinem Verdienst.(dhs) Hos 12:2 καὶ κρίσις τῷ κυρίῳ πρὸς Ιουδαν τοῦ ἐκδικῆσαι τὸν Ιακωβ κατὰ τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦ ἀνταποδώσει αὐτῷ (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:3 ============ Hos 12:3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his maturity he contended with God. (nasb) Hos 12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he struggled with God. (nkjv) Hos 12:3 Er hat in Mutterleibe seinen Bruder an der Ferse gehalten, und in seiner Kraft hat er mit Gott gekämpft.(dhs) Hos 12:3 ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ ἐπτέρνισεν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν κόποις αὐτοῦ ἐνίσχυσεν πρὸς θεὸν (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:4 ============ Hos 12:4 Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and sought His favor. He found Him at Bethel And there He spoke with us, (nasb) Hos 12:4 Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us-- (nkjv) Hos 12:4 Er kämpfte mit dem Engel und siegte, denn er weinte und bat ihn; auch hat er ihn ja zu Beth-El gefunden, und daselbst hat er mit uns geredet.(dhs) Hos 12:4 καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν μετὰ ἀγγέλου καὶ ἠδυνάσθη ἔκλαυσαν καὶ ἐδεήθησάν μου ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Ων εὕροσάν με καὶ ἐκεῖ ἐλαλήθη πρὸς αὐτόν (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:5 ============ Hos 12:5 Even the Lord, the God of hosts, The Lord is His name. (nasb) Hos 12:5 That is, the Lord God of hosts. The Lord is His memorable name. (nkjv) Hos 12:5 Aber der HERR ist der Gott Zebaoth; HERR ist sein Name.(dhs) Hos 12:5 ὁ δὲ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ἔσται μνημόσυνον αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:6 ============ Hos 12:6 Therefore, return to your God, Observe kindness and justice, And wait for your God continually. (nasb) Hos 12:6 So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually. (nkjv) Hos 12:6 So bekehre dich nun zu deinem Gott, und halte Barmherzigkeit und Recht und hoffe stets auf deinen Gott.(dhs) Hos 12:6 καὶ σὺ ἐν θεῷ σου ἐπιστρέψεις ἔλεον καὶ κρίμα φυλάσσου καὶ ἔγγιζε πρὸς τὸν θεόν σου διὰ παντός (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:7 ============ Hos 12:7 A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, He loves to oppress. (nasb) Hos 12:7 "A cunning Canaanite! Deceitful scales are in his hand; He loves to oppress. (nkjv) Hos 12:7 Aber Kanaan hat eine falsche Waage in seiner Hand und betrügt gern.(dhs) Hos 12:7 Χανααν ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ζυγὸς ἀδικίας καταδυναστεύειν ἠγάπησε (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:8 ============ Hos 12:8 And Ephraim said, "Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors they will find in me No iniquity, which would be sin." (nasb) Hos 12:8 And Ephraim said, 'Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors They shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.' (nkjv) Hos 12:8 Und Ephraim spricht: Ich bin reich, ich habe genug; man wird in aller meiner Arbeit keine Missetat finden, die Sünde sei.(dhs) Hos 12:8 καὶ εἶπεν Εφραιμ πλὴν πεπλούτηκα εὕρηκα ἀναψυχὴν ἐμαυτῷ πάντες οἱ πόνοι αὐτοῦ οὐχ εὑρεθήσονται αὐτῷ δι᾽ ἀδικίας ἃς ἥμαρτεν (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:9 ============ Hos 12:9 But I have been the Lord your God since the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, As in the days of the appointed festival. (nasb) Hos 12:9 "But I am the Lord your God, Ever since the land of Egypt; I will again make you dwell in tents, As in the days of the appointed feast. (nkjv) Hos 12:9 Ich aber, der HERR, bin dein Gott aus Ägyptenland her, und der dich noch in den Hütten wohnen läßt, wie man zur Festzeit pflegt,(dhs) Hos 12:9 ἐγὼ δὲ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἀνήγαγόν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἔτι κατοικιῶ σε ἐν σκηναῖς καθὼς ἡμέρᾳ ἑορτῆς (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:10 ============ Hos 12:10 I have also spoken to the prophets, And I gave numerous visions, And through the prophets I gave parables. (nasb) Hos 12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, And have multiplied visions; I have given symbols through the witness of the prophets." (nkjv) Hos 12:10 und rede zu den Propheten; und ich bin's, der so viel Weissagung gibt und durch die Propheten sich anzeigt.(dhs) Hos 12:10 καὶ λαλήσω πρὸς προφήτας καὶ ἐγὼ ὁράσεις ἐπλήθυνα καὶ ἐν χερσὶν προφητῶν ὡμοιώθην (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:11 ============ Hos 12:11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, Yes, their altars are like the stone heaps Beside the furrows of the field. (nasb) Hos 12:11 Though Gilead has idols-- Surely they are vanity-- Though they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal, Indeed their altars shall be heaps in the furrows of the field. (nkjv) Hos 12:11 In Gilead ist Abgötterei, darum werden sie zunichte; und in Gilgal opfern sie Ochsen, darum sollen ihre Altäre werden wie die Steinhaufen an den Furchen im Felde.(dhs) Hos 12:11 εἰ μὴ Γαλααδ ἔστιν ἄρα ψευδεῖς ἦσαν ἐν Γαλγαλ ἄρχοντες θυσιάζοντες καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια αὐτῶν ὡς χελῶναι ἐπὶ χέρσον ἀγροῦ (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:12 ============ Hos 12:12 Now Jacob fled to the land of Aram, And Israel worked for a wife, And for a wife he kept sheep. (nasb) Hos 12:12 Jacob fled to the country of Syria; Israel served for a spouse, And for a wife he tended sheep. (nkjv) Hos 12:12 Jakob mußte fliehen in das Land Syrien, und Israel mußte um ein Weib dienen, und um ein Weib mußte er hüten.(dhs) Hos 12:12 καὶ ἀνεχώρησεν Ιακωβ εἰς πεδίον Συρίας καὶ ἐδούλευσεν Ισραηλ ἐν γυναικὶ καὶ ἐν γυναικὶ ἐφυλάξατο (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:13 ============ Hos 12:13 But by a prophet the Lord brought Israel from Egypt, And by a prophet he was kept. (nasb) Hos 12:13 By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved. (nkjv) Hos 12:13 Aber hernach führte der HERR Israel aus Ägypten durch einen Propheten und ließ ihn hüten durch einen Propheten.(dhs) Hos 12:13 καὶ ἐν προφήτῃ ἀνήγαγεν κύριος τὸν Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐν προφήτῃ διεφυλάχθη (lxx) ======= Hosea 12:14 ============ Hos 12:14 Ephraim has provoked to bitter anger; So his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him And bring back his reproach to him. (nasb) Hos 12:14 Ephraim provoked Him to anger most bitterly; Therefore his Lord will leave the guilt of his bloodshed upon him, And return his reproach upon him. (nkjv) Hos 12:14 Nun aber erzürnt ihn Ephraim durch seine Götzen; darum wird ihr Blut über sie kommen, und ihr HERR wird ihnen vergelten ihre Schmach, die sie ihm antun.(dhs) Hos 12:14 ἐθύμωσεν Εφραιμ καὶ παρώργισεν καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἐκχυθήσεται καὶ τὸν ὀνειδισμὸν αὐτοῦ ἀνταποδώσει αὐτῷ κύριος (lxx) top of the page
