Today's Date: ======= Hosea 13:1 ============ Hos 13:1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, But through Baal he did wrong and died. (nasb) Hos 13:1 When Ephraim spoke, trembling, He exalted himself in Israel; But when he offended through Baal worship, he died. (nkjv) Hos 13:1 Da Ephraim Schreckliches redete, ward er in Israel erhoben, darnach versündigten sie sich durch Baal und wurden darüber getötet.(dhs) Hos 13:1 κατὰ τὸν λόγον Εφραιμ δικαιώματα αὐτὸς ἔλαβεν ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἔθετο αὐτὰ τῇ Βααλ καὶ ἀπέθανεν (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:2 ============ Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, And make for themselves molten images, Idols skillfully made from their silver, All of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them, "Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!" (nkjv) Hos 13:2 Aber nun machen sie der Sünden viel mehr und aus ihrem Silber Bilder, wie sie es erdenken können, nämlich Götzen, welche doch eitel Schmiedewerk sind. Dennoch predigen sie von denselben: Wer die Kälber küssen will, der soll Menschen opfern.(dhs) Hos 13:2 καὶ προσέθετο τοῦ ἁμαρτάνειν ἔτι καὶ ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς χώνευμα ἐκ τοῦ ἀργυρίου αὐτῶν κατ᾽ εἰκόνα εἰδώλων ἔργα τεκτόνων συντετελεσμένα αὐτοῖς αὐτοὶ λέγουσιν θύσατε ἀνθρώπους μόσχοι γὰρ ἐκλελοίπασιν (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:3 ============ Hos 13:3 Therefore they will be like the morning cloud And like dew which soon disappears, Like chaff which is blown away from the threshing floor And like smoke from a chimney. (nkjv) Hos 13:3 Darum werden sie sein wie die Morgenwolke und wie der Tau, der frühmorgens vergeht; ja, wie die Spreu, die von der Tenne verweht wird, und wie der Rauch von dem Schornstein.(dhs) Hos 13:3 διὰ τοῦτο ἔσονται ὡς νεφέλη πρωινὴ καὶ ὡς δρόσος ὀρθρινὴ πορευομένη ὥσπερ χνοῦς ἀποφυσώμενος ἀφ᾽ ἅλωνος καὶ ὡς ἀτμὶς ἀπὸ ἀκρίδων (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:4 ============ Hos 13:4 Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. (nasb) Hos 13:4 "Yet I am the Lord your God Ever since the land of Egypt, And you shall know no God but Me; For there is no Savior besides Me. (nkjv) Hos 13:4 Ich bin aber der HERR, dein Gott, aus Ägyptenland her; und du solltest ja keinen andern Gott kennen denn mich und keinen Heiland als allein mich.(dhs) Hos 13:4 ἐγὼ δὲ κύριος ὁ θεός σου στερεῶν οὐρανὸν καὶ κτίζων γῆν οὗ αἱ χεῖρες ἔκτισαν πᾶσαν τὴν στρατιὰν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ οὐ παρέδειξά σοι αὐτὰ τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ὀπίσω αὐτῶν καὶ ἐγὼ ἀνήγαγόν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ θεὸν πλὴν ἐμοῦ οὐ γνώσῃ καὶ σῴζων οὐκ ἔστιν πάρεξ ἐμοῦ (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:5 ============ Hos 13:5 I cared for you in the wilderness, In the land of drought. (nasb) Hos 13:5 I knew you in the wilderness, In the land of great drought. (nkjv) Hos 13:5 Ich nahm mich ja deiner an in der Wüste, im dürren Lande.(dhs) Hos 13:5 ἐγὼ ἐποίμαινόν σε ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν γῇ ἀοικήτῳ (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:6 ============ Hos 13:6 As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And being satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me. (nasb) Hos 13:6 When they had pasture, they were filled; They were filled and their heart was exalted; Therefore they forgot Me. (nkjv) Hos 13:6 Aber weil sie geweidet sind, daß sie satt geworden sind und genug haben, erhebt sich ihr Herz; darum vergessen sie mein.(dhs) Hos 13:6 κατὰ τὰς νομὰς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐνεπλήσθησαν εἰς πλησμονήν καὶ ὑψώθησαν αἱ καρδίαι αὐτῶν ἕνεκα τούτου ἐπελάθοντό μου (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:7 ============ Hos 13:7 So I will be like a lion to them; Like a leopard I will lie in wait by the wayside. (nasb) Hos 13:7 "So I will be to them like a lion; Like a leopard by the road I will lurk; (nkjv) Hos 13:7 So will ich auch werden gegen sie wie ein Löwe, und wie ein Parder auf dem Wege will ich auf sie lauern.(dhs) Hos 13:7 καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς ὡς πανθὴρ καὶ ὡς πάρδαλις κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν Ἀσσυρίων (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:8 ============ Hos 13:8 I will encounter them like a bear robbed of her cubs, And I will tear open their chests; There I will also devour them like a lioness, As a wild beast would tear them. (nasb) Hos 13:8 I will meet them like a bear deprived of her cubs; I will tear open their rib cage, And there I will devour them like a lion. The wild beast shall tear them. (nkjv) Hos 13:8 Ich will ihnen begegnen wie ein Bär, dem seine Jungen genommen sind, und will ihr verstocktes Herz zerreißen und will sie daselbst wie ein Löwe fressen; die wilden Tiere sollen sie zerreißen.(dhs) Hos 13:8 ἀπαντήσομαι αὐτοῖς ὡς ἄρκος ἀπορουμένη καὶ διαρρήξω συγκλεισμὸν καρδίας αὐτῶν καὶ καταφάγονται αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ σκύμνοι δρυμοῦ θηρία ἀγροῦ διασπάσει αὐτούς (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:9 ============ Hos 13:9 It is your destruction, O Israel, That you are against Me, against your help. (nasb) Hos 13:9 "O Israel, you are destroyed, But your help is from Me. (nasb) Hos 13:10 I will be your King; Where is any other, That he may save you in all your cities? And your judges to whom you said, 'Give me a king and princes'? (nasb) Hos 13:13 The sorrows of a woman in childbirth shall come upon him. He is an unwise son, For he should not stay long where children are born. Er ist ein unverständig Kind; denn wenn die Zeit gekommen ist, so will er die Mutter nicht brechen.(dhs) Hos 13:13 ὠδῖνες ὡς τικτούσης ἥξουσιν αὐτῷ οὗτος ὁ υἱός σου οὐ φρόνιμος διότι οὐ μὴ ὑποστῇ ἐν συντριβῇ τέκνων (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:14 ============ Hos 13:14 Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from death? O Death, where are your thorns? O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion will be hidden from My sight. (nasb) Hos 13:14 "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes. (nkjv) Hos 13:14 Aber ich will sie erlösen aus der Hölle und vom Tod erretten. Tod, ich will dir ein Gift sein; Hölle ich will dir eine Pestilenz sein. Doch ist der Trost vor meinen Augen verborgen.(dhs) Hos 13:14 ἐκ χειρὸς ᾅδου ῥύσομαι αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐκ θανάτου λυτρώσομαι αὐτούς ποῦ ἡ δίκη σου θάνατε ποῦ τὸ κέντρον σου ᾅδη παράκλησις κέκρυπται ἀπὸ ὀφθαλμῶν μου (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:15 ============ Hos 13:15 Though he flourishes among the reeds, An east wind will come, The wind of the Lord coming up from the wilderness; And his fountain will become dry And his spring will be dried up; It will plunder his treasury of every precious article. (nasb) Hos 13:15 Though he is fruitful among his brethren, An east wind shall come; The wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness. Then his spring shall become dry, And his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasury of every desirable prize. (nkjv) Hos 13:15 Denn wenn er auch zwischen Brüdern Frucht bringt, so wird doch ein Ostwind des HERRN aus der Wüste herauffahren, daß sein Brunnen vertrocknet und seine Quelle versiegt; und er wird rauben den Schatz alles köstlichen Gerätes.(dhs) Hos 13:15 διότι οὗτος ἀνὰ μέσον ἀδελφῶν διαστελεῖ ἐπάξει ἄνεμον καύσωνα κύριος ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν καὶ ἀναξηρανεῖ τὰς φλέβας αὐτοῦ ἐξερημώσει τὰς πηγὰς αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς καταξηρανεῖ τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἐπιθυμητὰ αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Hosea 13:16 ============ Hos 13:16 Samaria will be held guilty, For she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword, Their little ones will be dashed in pieces, And their pregnant women will be ripped open. (nasb) Hos 13:16 Samaria is held guilty, For she has rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword, Their infants shall be dashed in pieces, And their women with child ripped open.
