Tell Me, if you have understanding, (nasb-1995) Job 38:4 ποῦ ἦς ἐν τῷ θεμελιοῦν με τὴν γῆν ἀπάγγειλον δέ μοι εἰ ἐπίστῃ σύνεσιν (lxx) Job 38:4 Ubi eras quando ponebam fundamenta terræ? indica mihi, si habes intelligentiam.(Vulgate) Job 38:4 Wo warst du, da ich die Erde gründete? Or who laid its cornerstone, (nasb-1995) Job 38:6 ἐπὶ τίνος οἱ κρίκοι αὐτῆς πεπήγασιν τίς δέ ἐστιν ὁ βαλὼν λίθον γωνιαῖον ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς (lxx) Job 38:6 Super quo bases illius solidatæ sunt? aut quis demisit lapidem angularem ejus,(Vulgate) Job 38:6 Worauf stehen ihre Füße versenkt, oder wer hat ihren Eckstein gelegt,(dhs) 6 ׃38 עַל־מָ֭ה אֲדָנֶ֣יהָ הָטְבָּ֑עוּ א֥וֹ מִֽי־יָ֝רָ֗ה אֶ֣בֶן פִּנָּתָֽהּ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone,(nkjv) ======= Job 38:7 ============ Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy? (nasb-1995) Job 38:11 εἶπα δὲ αὐτῇ μέχρι τούτου ἐλεύσῃ καὶ οὐχ ὑπερβήσῃ ἀλλ᾽ ἐν σεαυτῇ συντριβήσεταί σου τὰ κύματα (lxx) Job 38:11 et dixi: Usque huc venies, et non procedes amplius, et hic confringes tumentes fluctus tuos.(Vulgate) Job 38:11 und sprach: "Bis hierher sollst du kommen und nicht weiter; hier sollen sich legen deine stolzen Wellen!"?(dhs) 11 ׃38 וָאֹמַ֗ר עַד־פֹּ֣ה תָ֭בוֹא וְלֹ֣א תֹסִ֑יף וּפֹ֥א־יָ֝שִׁ֗ית בִּגְא֥וֹן גַּלֶּֽיךָ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:11 When I said, 'This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!'(nkjv) ======= Job 38:12 ============ Job 38:12 "Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, And caused the dawn to know its place, (nasb-1995) Job 38:12 ἦ ἐπὶ σοῦ συντέταχα φέγγος πρωινόν ἑωσφόρος δὲ εἶδεν τὴν ἑαυτοῦ τάξιν (lxx) Job 38:12 Numquid post ortum tuum præcepisti diluculo, et ostendisti auroræ locum suum?(Vulgate) Job 38:12 Hast du bei deiner Zeit dem Morgen geboten und der Morgenröte ihren Ort gezeigt,(dhs) 12 ׃38 הְֽ֭מִיָּמֶיךָ צִוִּ֣יתָ בֹּ֑קֶר *ידעתה *שחר **יִדַּ֖עְתָּה **הַשַּׁ֣חַר מְקֹמֽוֹ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:12 "Have you commanded the morning since your days began, And caused the dawn to know its place,(nkjv) ======= Job 38:13 ============ Job 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it? (nasb-1995) Job 38:13 ἐπιλαβέσθαι πτερύγων γῆς ἐκτινάξαι ἀσεβεῖς ἐξ αὐτῆς (lxx) Job 38:13 Et tenuisti concutiens extrema terræ, et excussisti impios ex ea?(Vulgate) Job 38:13 daß sie die Ecken der Erde fasse und die Gottlosen herausgeschüttelt werden?(dhs) 13 ׃38 לֶ֭אֱחֹז בְּכַנְפ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ וְיִנָּעֲר֖וּ רְשָׁעִ֣[7]ים מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:14 ============ Job 38:14 "It is changed like clay under the seal; And they stand forth like a garment.(nasb-1995) Job 38:14 ἦ σὺ λαβὼν γῆν πηλὸν ἔπλασας ζῷον καὶ λαλητὸν αὐτὸν ἔθου ἐπὶ γῆς (lxx) Job 38:14 Restituetur ut lutum signaculum, et stabit sicut vestimentum:(Vulgate) Job 38:14 Sie wandelt sich wie Ton unter dem Siegel, und alles steht da wie im Kleide.(dhs) 14 ׃38 תִּ֭תְהַפֵּךְ כְּחֹ֣מֶר חוֹתָ֑ם וְ֝יִֽתְיַצְּב֗וּ כְּמ֣וֹ לְבֽוּשׁ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:14 It takes on form like clay under a seal, And stands out like a garment.(nkjv) ======= Job 38:15 ============ Job 38:15 "From the wicked their light is withheld, And the uplifted arm is broken.(nasb-1995) Job 38:15 ἀφεῖλας δὲ ἀπὸ ἀσεβῶν τὸ φῶς βραχίονα δὲ ὑπερηφάνων συνέτριψας (lxx) Job 38:15 auferetur ab impiis lux sua, et brachium excelsum confringetur.(Vulgate) Job 38:15 Und den Gottlosen wird ihr Licht genommen, und der Arm der Hoffärtigen wird zerbrochen.(dhs) 15 ׃38 וְיִמָּנַ֣ע מֵרְשָׁעִ֣[7]ים אוֹרָ֑ם וּזְר֥וֹעַ רָ֝מָ֗ה תִּשָּׁבֵֽר׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:15 From the wicked their light is withheld, And the upraised arm is broken.(nkjv) ======= Job 38:16 ============ Job 38:16 "Have you entered into the springs of the sea Or walked in the recesses of the deep? (nasb-1995) Job 38:16 ἦλθες δὲ ἐπὶ πηγὴν θαλάσσης ἐν δὲ ἴχνεσιν ἀβύσσου περιεπάτησας (lxx) Job 38:16 Numquid ingressus es profunda maris, et in novissimis abyssi deambulasti?(Vulgate) Job 38:16 Bist du in den Grund des Meeres gekommen und in den Fußtapfen der Tiefe gewandelt?(dhs) 16 ׃38 הֲ֭בָאתָ עַד־נִבְכֵי־יָ֑ם וּבְחֵ֥קֶר תְּ֝ה֗וֹם הִתְהַלָּֽכְתָּ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:16 "Have you entered the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in search of the depths?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:17 ============ Job 38:17 "Have the gates of death been revealed to you, Or have you seen the gates of deep darkness? (nasb-1995) Job 38:17 ἀνοίγονται δέ σοι φόβῳ πύλαι θανάτου πυλωροὶ δὲ ᾅδου ἰδόντες σε ἔπτηξαν (lxx) Job 38:17 Numquid apertæ sunt tibi portæ mortis, et ostia tenebrosa vidisti?(Vulgate) Job 38:17 Haben sich dir des Todes Tore je aufgetan, oder hast du gesehen die Tore der Finsternis?(dhs) 17 ׃38 הֲנִגְל֣וּ לְ֭ךָ שַׁעֲרֵי־מָ֑וֶת וְשַׁעֲרֵ֖י צַלְמָ֣וֶת תִּרְאֶֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:18 ============ Job 38:18 "Have you understood the expanse of the earth? Tell Me, if you know all this.(nasb-1995) Job 38:18 νενουθέτησαι δὲ τὸ εὖρος τῆς ὑπ᾽ οὐρανόν ἀνάγγειλον δή μοι πόση τίς ἐστιν (lxx) Job 38:18 Numquid considerasti latitudinem terræ? indica mihi, si nosti, omnia:(Vulgate) Job 38:18 Hast du vernommen wie breit die Erde sei? (nasb-1995) Job 38:20 εἰ ἀγάγοις με εἰς ὅρια αὐτῶν εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐπίστασαι τρίβους αὐτῶν (lxx) Job 38:20 ut ducas unumquodque ad terminos suos, et intelligas semitas domus ejus.(Vulgate) Job 38:20 daß du mögest ergründen seine Grenze und merken den Pfad zu seinem Hause?(dhs) 20 ׃38 כִּ֣י תִ֭קָּחֶנּוּ אֶל־גְּבוּל֑וֹ וְכִֽי־תָ֝בִין נְתִיב֥וֹת בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:20 That you may take it to its territory, That you may know the paths to its home?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:21 ============ Job 38:21 "You know, for you were born then, And the number of your days is great!(nasb-1995) Job 38:21 οἶδα ἄρα ὅτι τότε γεγέννησαι ἀριθμὸς δὲ ἐτῶν σου πολύς (lxx) Job 38:21 Sciebas tunc quod nasciturus esses, et numerum dierum tuorum noveras?(Vulgate) Job 38:21 Du weißt es ja; denn zu der Zeit wurdest du geboren, und deiner Tage sind viel.(dhs) 21 ׃38 יָ֭דַעְתָּ כִּי־אָ֣ז תִּוָּלֵ֑ד וּמִסְפַּ֖ר יָמֶ֣יךָ רַבִּֽים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:21 Do you know it, because you were born then, Or because the number of your days is great?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:22 ============ Job 38:22 "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail, (nasb-1995) Job 38:22 ἦλθες δὲ ἐπὶ θησαυροὺς χιόνος θησαυροὺς δὲ χαλάζης ἑόρακας (lxx) Job 38:22 Numquid ingressus es thesauros nivis, aut thesauros grandinis aspexisti,(Vulgate) Job 38:22 Bist du gewesen, da der Schnee her kommt, oder hast du gesehen, wo der Hagel her kommt,(dhs) 22 ׃38 הֲ֭בָאתָ אֶל־אֹצְר֣וֹת שָׁ֑לֶג וְאֹצְר֖וֹת בָּרָ֣ד תִּרְאֶֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:22 "Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail,(nkjv) ======= Job 38:23 ============ Job 38:23 Which I have reserved for the time of distress, For the day of war and battle? (nasb-1995) Job 38:24 πόθεν δὲ ἐκπορεύεται πάχνη ἢ διασκεδάννυται νότος εἰς τὴν ὑπ᾽ οὐρανόν (lxx) Job 38:24 Per quam viam spargitur lux, dividitur æstus super terram?(Vulgate) Job 38:24 Durch welchen Weg teilt sich das Licht und fährt der Ostwind hin über die Erde?(dhs) 24 ׃38 אֵי־זֶ֣ה הַ֭דֶּרֶךְ יֵחָ֣לֶק א֑וֹר יָפֵ֖ץ קָדִ֣ים עֲלֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:24 By what way is light diffused, Or the east wind scattered over the earth?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:25 ============ Job 38:25 "Who has cleft a channel for the flood, Or a way for the thunderbolt, (nasb-1995) Job 38:25 τίς δὲ ἡτοίμασεν ὑετῷ λάβρῳ ῥύσιν ὁδὸν δὲ κυδοιμῶν (lxx) Job 38:25 Quis dedit vehementissimo imbri cursum, et viam sonantis tonitrui,(Vulgate) Job 38:25 Wer hat dem Platzregen seinen Lauf ausgeteilt und den Weg dem Blitz und dem Donner(dhs) 25 ׃38 מִֽי־פִלַּ֣ג לַשֶּׁ֣טֶף תְּעָלָ֑ה וְ֝דֶ֗רֶךְ לַחֲזִ֥יז קֹלֽוֹת׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:25 "Who has divided a channel for the overflowing water, Or a path for the thunderbolt,(nkjv) ======= Job 38:26 ============ Job 38:26 To bring rain on a land without people, On a desert without a man in it, (nasb-1995) Job 38:26 τοῦ ὑετίσαι ἐπὶ γῆν οὗ οὐκ ἀνήρ ἔρημον οὗ οὐχ ὑπάρχει ἄνθρωπος ἐν αὐτῇ (lxx) Job 38:26 ut plueret super terram absque homine in deserto, ubi nullus mortalium commoratur;(Vulgate) Job 38:26 und läßt regnen aufs Land da niemand ist, in der Wüste, da kein Mensch ist,(dhs) 26 ׃38 לְ֭הַמְטִיר עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ לֹא־אִ֑ישׁ מִ֝דְבָּ֗ר לֹא־אָדָ֥ם בּֽוֹ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:26 To cause it to rain on a land where there is no one, A wilderness in which there is no man;(nkjv) ======= Job 38:27 ============ Job 38:27 To satisfy the waste and desolate land And to make the seeds of grass to sprout? (nasb-1995) Job 38:27 τοῦ χορτάσαι ἄβατον καὶ ἀοίκητον καὶ τοῦ ἐκβλαστῆσαι ἔξοδον χλόης (lxx) Job 38:27 ut impleret inviam et desolatam, et produceret herbas virentes?(Vulgate) Job 38:27 daß er füllt die Einöde und Wildnis und macht das Gras wächst?(dhs) 27 ׃38 לְהַשְׂבִּ֣יעַ שֹׁ֭אָה וּמְשֹׁאָ֑ה וּ֝לְהַצְמִ֗יחַ מֹ֣צָא דֶֽשֶׁא׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 38:27 To satisfy the desolate waste, And cause to spring forth the growth of tender grass?(nkjv) ======= Job 38:28 ============ Job 38:28 "Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew? (nasb-1995) Job 38:28 τίς ἐστιν ὑετοῦ πατήρ τίς δέ ἐστιν ὁ τετοκὼς βώλους δρόσου (lxx) Job 38:28 Quis est pluviæ pater? vel quis genuit stillas roris?(Vulgate) Job 38:28 Wer ist des Regens Vater?
