Who loosed the bonds of the onager,(nkjv) ======= Job 39:6 ============ Job 39:6 To whom I gave the wilderness for a home And the salt land for his dwelling place? Will he bed by your manger?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:10 ============ Job 39:10 "Can you bind the wild ox in a furrow with ropes, Or will he harrow the valleys after you? (nasb-1995) Job 39:10 δήσεις δὲ ἐν ἱμᾶσι ζυγὸν αὐτοῦ ἢ ἑλκύσει σου αὔλακας ἐν πεδίῳ (lxx) Job 39:10 Numquid alligabis rhinocerota ad arandum loro tuo, aut confringet glebas vallium post te?(Vulgate) Job 39:10 Kannst du ihm dein Seil anknüpfen, die Furchen zu machen, daß es hinter dir brache in Tälern?(dhs) 10 ׃39 הֲֽתִקְשָׁר־רֵ֭ים בְּתֶ֣לֶם עֲבֹת֑וֹ אִם־יְשַׂדֵּ֖ד עֲמָקִ֣ים אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:10 Can you bind the wild ox in the furrow with ropes? Or will he plow the valleys behind you?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:11 ============ Job 39:11 "Will you trust him because his strength is great And leave your labor to him? (nasb-1995) Job 39:11 πέποιθας δὲ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ὅτι πολλὴ ἡ ἰσχὺς αὐτοῦ ἐπαφήσεις δὲ αὐτῷ τὰ ἔργα σου (lxx) Job 39:11 Numquid fiduciam habebis in magna fortitudine ejus, et derelinques ei labores tuos?(Vulgate) Job 39:11 Magst du dich auf das Tier verlassen, daß es so stark ist, und wirst es dir lassen arbeiten?(dhs) 11 ׃39 הֲֽתִבְטַח־בּ֭וֹ כִּי־רַ֣ב כֹּח֑וֹ וְתַעֲזֹ֖ב אֵלָ֣יו יְגִיעֶֽךָ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:11 Will you trust him because his strength is great? Or will you leave your labor to him?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:12 ============ Job 39:12 "Will you have faith in him that he will return your grain And gather it from your threshing floor? (nasb-1995) Job 39:12 πιστεύσεις δὲ ὅτι ἀποδώσει σοι τὸν σπόρον εἰσοίσει δέ σου τὸν ἅλωνα (lxx) Job 39:12 Numquid credes illi quod sementem reddat tibi, et aream tuam congreget?(Vulgate) Job 39:12 Magst du ihm trauen, daß es deinen Samen dir wiederbringe und in deine Scheune sammle?(dhs) 12 ׃39 הֲתַאֲמִ֣ין בּ֭וֹ כִּי־*ישוב **יָשִׁ֣יב זַרְעֶ֑ךָ וְֽגָרְנְךָ֥ יֶאֱסֹֽף׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:12 Will you trust him to bring home your grain, And gather it to your threshing floor?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:13 ============ Job 39:13 "The ostriches' wings flap joyously With the pinion and plumage of love, (nasb-1995) Job 39:13 πτέρυξ τερπομένων νεελασα ἐὰν συλλάβῃ ασιδα καὶ νεσσα (lxx) Job 39:13 Penna struthionis similis est pennis herodii et accipitris.(Vulgate) Job 39:13 Der Fittich des Straußes hebt sich fröhlich. Dem frommen Storch gleicht er an Flügeln und Federn.(dhs) 13 ׃39 כְּנַף־רְנָנִ֥ים נֶעֱלָ֑סָה אִם־אֶ֝בְרָ֗ה חֲסִידָ֥ה וְנֹצָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:13 "The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork's?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:14 ============ Job 39:14 For she abandons her eggs to the earth And warms them in the dust, (nasb-1995) Job 39:14 ὅτι ἀφήσει εἰς γῆν τὰ ᾠὰ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ χοῦν θάλψει (lxx) Job 39:14 Quando derelinquit ova sua in terra, tu forsitan in pulvere calefacies ea?(Vulgate) Job 39:14 Doch läßt er seine Eier auf der Erde und läßt sie die heiße Erde ausbrüten.(dhs) 14 ׃39 כִּֽי־תַעֲזֹ֣ב לָאָ֣רֶץ בֵּצֶ֑יהָ וְֽעַל־עָפָ֥ר תְּחַמֵּֽם׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:14 For she leaves her eggs on the ground, And warms them in the dust;(nkjv) ======= Job 39:15 ============ Job 39:15 And she forgets that a foot may crush them, Or that a wild beast may trample them.(nasb-1995) Job 39:15 καὶ ἐπελάθετο ὅτι ποὺς σκορπιεῖ καὶ θηρία ἀγροῦ καταπατήσει (lxx) Job 39:15 Obliviscitur quod pes conculcet ea, aut bestia agri conterat.(Vulgate) Job 39:15 Er vergißt, daß sie möchten zertreten werden und ein wildes Tier sie zerbreche.(dhs) 15 ׃39 וַ֭תִּשְׁכַּח כִּי־רֶ֣גֶל תְּזוּרֶ֑הָ וְחַיַּ֖ת הַשָּׂדֶ֣ה תְּדוּשֶֽׁהָ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:15 She forgets that a foot may crush them, Or that a wild beast may break them.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:16 ============ Job 39:16 "She treats her young cruelly, as if they were not hers; Though her labor be in vain, she is unconcerned; (nasb-1995) Job 39:16 ἀπεσκλήρυνεν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς ὥστε μὴ ἑαυτῇ εἰς κενὸν ἐκοπίασεν ἄνευ φόβου (lxx) Job 39:16 Duratur ad filios suos, quasi non sint sui: frustra laboravit, nullo timore cogente.(Vulgate) Job 39:16 Er wird so hart gegen seine Jungen, als wären sie nicht sein, achtet's nicht, daß er umsonst arbeitet.(dhs) 16 ׃39 הִקְשִׁ֣יחַ בָּנֶ֣יהָ לְּלֹא־לָ֑הּ לְרִ֖יק יְגִיעָ֣הּ בְּלִי־פָֽחַד׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:16 She treats her young harshly, as though they were not hers; Her labor is in vain, without concern,(nkjv) ======= Job 39:17 ============ Job 39:17 Because God has made her forget wisdom, And has not given her a share of understanding.(nasb-1995) Job 39:17 ὅτι κατεσιώπησεν αὐτῇ ὁ θεὸς σοφίαν καὶ οὐκ ἐμέρισεν αὐτῇ ἐν τῇ συνέσει (lxx) Job 39:17 Privavit enim eam Deus sapientia, nec dedit illi intelligentiam.(Vulgate) Job 39:17 Denn Gott hat ihm die Weisheit genommen und hat ihm keinen Verstand zugeteilt.(dhs) 17 ׃39 כִּֽי־הִשָּׁ֣הּ אֱל֣וֹהַּ חָכְמָ֑ה וְלֹא־חָ֥לַק לָ֝֗הּ בַּבִּינָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:17 Because God deprived her of wisdom, And did not endow her with understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:18 ============ Job 39:18 "When she lifts herself on high, She laughs at the horse and his rider.(nasb-1995) Job 39:18 κατὰ καιρὸν ἐν ὕψει ὑψώσει καταγελάσεται ἵππου καὶ τοῦ ἐπιβάτου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 39:18 Cum tempus fuerit, in altum alas erigit: deridet equum et ascensorem ejus.(Vulgate) Job 39:18 Zu der Zeit, da er hoch auffährt, verlacht er beide, Roß und Mann.(dhs) 18 ׃39 כָּ֭עֵת בַּמָּר֣וֹם תַּמְרִ֑יא תִּֽשְׂחַ֥ק לַ֝סּ֗וּס וּלְרֹֽכְבֽוֹ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:18 When she lifts herself on high, She scorns the horse and its rider.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:19 ============ Job 39:19 "Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane? (nasb-1995) Job 39:19 ἦ σὺ περιέθηκας ἵππῳ δύναμιν ἐνέδυσας δὲ τραχήλῳ αὐτοῦ φόβον (lxx) Job 39:19 Numquid præbebis equo fortitudinem, aut circumdabis collo ejus hinnitum?(Vulgate) Job 39:19 Kannst du dem Roß Kräfte geben oder seinen Hals zieren mit seiner Mähne?(dhs) 19 ׃39 הֲתִתֵּ֣ן לַסּ֣וּס גְּבוּרָ֑ה הֲתַלְבִּ֖ישׁ צַוָּאר֣וֹ רַעְמָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:19 "Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:20 ============ Job 39:20 "Do you make him leap like the locust? His majestic snorting is terrible.(nasb-1995) Job 39:20 περιέθηκας δὲ αὐτῷ πανοπλίαν δόξαν δὲ στηθέων αὐτοῦ τόλμῃ (lxx) Job 39:20 Numquid suscitabis eum quasi locustas? gloria narium ejus terror.(Vulgate) Job 39:20 Läßt du es aufspringen wie die Heuschrecken? Schrecklich ist sein prächtiges Schnauben.(dhs) 20 ׃39 הְֽ֭תַרְעִישֶׁנּוּ כָּאַרְבֶּ֑ה ה֖וֹד נַחְר֣וֹ אֵימָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:20 Can you frighten him like a locust? His majestic snorting strikes terror.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:21 ============ Job 39:21 "He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He goes out to meet the weapons.(nasb-1995) Job 39:21 ἀνορύσσων ἐν πεδίῳ γαυριᾷ ἐκπορεύεται δὲ εἰς πεδίον ἐν ἰσχύι (lxx) Job 39:21 Terram ungula fodit; exultat audacter: in occursum pergit armatis.(Vulgate) Job 39:21 Es stampft auf den Boden und ist freudig mit Kraft und zieht aus, den Geharnischten entgegen.(dhs) 21 ׃39 יַחְפְּר֣וּ בָ֭עֵמֶק וְיָשִׂ֣ישׂ בְּכֹ֑חַ יֵ֝צֵ֗א לִקְרַאת־נָֽשֶׁק׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:21 He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He gallops into the clash of arms.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:22 ============ Job 39:22 "He laughs at fear and is not dismayed; And he does not turn back from the sword.(nasb-1995) Job 39:22 συναντῶν βέλει καταγελᾷ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποστραφῇ ἀπὸ σιδήρου (lxx) Job 39:22 Contemnit pavorem, nec cedit gladio.(Vulgate) Job 39:22 Es spottet der Furcht und erschrickt nicht und flieht vor dem Schwert nicht,(dhs) 22 ׃39 יִשְׂחַ֣ק לְ֭פַחַד וְלֹ֣א יֵחָ֑ת וְלֹֽא־יָ֝שׁ֗וּב מִפְּנֵי־חָֽרֶב׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:22 He mocks at fear, and is not frightened; Nor does he turn back from the sword.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:23 ============ Job 39:23 "The quiver rattles against him, The flashing spear and javelin.(nasb-1995) Job 39:23 ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ γαυριᾷ τόξον καὶ μάχαιρα (lxx) Job 39:23 Super ipsum sonabit pharetra; vibrabit hasta et clypeus:(Vulgate) Job 39:23 wenngleich über ihm klingt der Köcher und glänzen beide, Spieß und Lanze.(dhs) 23 ׃39 עָ֭לָיו תִּרְנֶ֣ה אַשְׁפָּ֑ה לַ֖הַב חֲנִ֣ית וְכִידֽוֹן׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:23 The quiver rattles against him, The glittering spear and javelin.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:24 ============ Job 39:24 "With shaking and rage he races over the ground, And he does not stand still at the voice of the trumpet.(nasb-1995) Job 39:24 καὶ ὀργῇ ἀφανιεῖ τὴν γῆν καὶ οὐ μὴ πιστεύσῃ ἕως ἂν σημάνῃ σάλπιγξ (lxx) Job 39:24 fervens et fremens sorbet terram, nec reputat tubæ sonare clangorem.(Vulgate) Job 39:24 Es zittert und tobt und scharrt in die Erde und läßt sich nicht halten bei der Drommete Hall.(dhs) 24 ׃39 בְּרַ֣עַשׁ וְ֭רֹגֶז יְגַמֶּא־אָ֑רֶץ וְלֹֽא־יַ֝אֲמִ֗ין כִּי־ק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:24 He devours the distance with fierceness and rage; Nor does he come to a halt because the trumpet has sounded.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:25 ============ Job 39:25 "As often as the trumpet sounds he says, 'Aha!' And he scents the battle from afar, And the thunder of the captains and the war cry.(nasb-1995) Job 39:25 σάλπιγγος δὲ σημαινούσης λέγει εὖγε πόρρωθεν δὲ ὀσφραίνεται πολέμου σὺν ἅλματι καὶ κραυγῇ (lxx) Job 39:25 Ubi audierit buccinam, dicit: Vah! procul odoratur bellum: exhortationem ducum, et ululatum exercitus.(Vulgate) Job 39:25 So oft die Drommete klingt, spricht es: Hui! und wittert den Streit von ferne, das Schreien der Fürsten und Jauchzen.(dhs) 25 ׃39 בְּדֵ֤י שֹׁפָ֨ר ׀ יֹ֘אמַ֤ר הֶאָ֗ח וּֽ֭מֵרָחוֹק יָרִ֣יחַ מִלְחָמָ֑ה רַ֥עַם שָׂ֝רִים וּתְרוּעָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 39:25 At the blast of the trumpet he says, 'Aha!' He smells the battle from afar, The thunder of captains and shouting.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:26 ============ Job 39:26 "Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, Stretching his wings toward the south?
