Links to all Books and Chapters Today's Date: ======= Psalm 1:1 ============ Psa 1:1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!(nasb-1995) Psa 1:1 μακάριος ἀνήρ ὃς οὐκ ἐπορεύθη ἐν βουλῇ ἀσεβῶν καὶ ἐν ὁδῷ ἁμαρτωλῶν οὐκ ἔστη καὶ ἐπὶ καθέδραν λοιμῶν οὐκ ἐκάθισεν (lxx) Psa 1:1 [Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum, et in via peccatorum non stetit, et in cathedra pestilentiæ non sedit;(Vulgate) Psa 1:1 Wohl dem, der nicht wandelt im Rat der Gottlosen noch tritt auf den Weg Sünder noch sitzt, da die Spötter sitzen,(dhs) 1 ׃1 אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי־הָאִ֗ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר ׀ לֹ֥א הָלַךְ֮ בַּעֲצַ֢ת רְשָׁ֫עִ֥ים וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ חַ֭טָּאִים לֹ֥א עָמָ֑ד וּבְמוֹשַׁ֥ב לֵ֝צִ֗ים לֹ֣א יָשָֽׁב׃ Psalms-(Hebrew) Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;(nkjv) ======= Psalm 1:2 ============ Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.(nasb-1995) Psa 1:2 ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐν τῷ νόμῳ κυρίου τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ νόμῳ αὐτοῦ μελετήσει ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτός (lxx) Psa 1:2 sed in lege Domini voluntas ejus, et in lege ejus meditabitur die ac nocte.(Vulgate) Psa 1:2 sondern hat Lust zum Gesetz des HERRN und redet von seinem Gesetz Tag und Nacht!(dhs) 2 ׃1 כִּ֤י אִ֥ם בְּתוֹרַ֥ת יְהוָ֗ה חֶ֫פְצ֥וֹ וּֽבְתוֹרָת֥וֹ יֶהְגֶּ֗ה יוֹמָ֥ם וָלָֽיְלָה׃ Psalms-(Hebrew) Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 1:3 ============ Psa 1:3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.(nasb-1995) Psa 1:3 καὶ ἔσται ὡς τὸ ξύλον τὸ πεφυτευμένον παρὰ τὰς διεξόδους τῶν ὑδάτων ὃ τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ δώσει ἐν καιρῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ φύλλον αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀπορρυήσεται καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἂν ποιῇ κατευοδωθήσεται (lxx) Psa 1:3 Et erit tamquam lignum quod plantatum est secus decursus aquarum, quod fructum suum dabit in tempore suo: et folium ejus non defluet; et omnia quæcumque faciet prosperabuntur.(Vulgate) Psa 1:3 Der ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an den Wasserbächen, der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit, und seine Blätter verwelken nicht; und was er macht, das gerät wohl.(dhs) 3 ׃1 וְֽהָיָ֗ה כְּעֵץ֮ שָׁת֢וּל עַֽל־פַּלְגֵ֫י מָ֥יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר פִּרְי֨וֹ ׀ יִתֵּ֬ן בְּעִתּ֗וֹ וְעָלֵ֥הוּ לֹֽא־יִבּ֑וֹל וְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה יַצְלִֽיחַ׃ Psalms-(Hebrew) Psa 1:3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 1:4 ============ Psa 1:4 The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.(nasb-1995) Psa 1:4 οὐχ οὕτως οἱ ἀσεβεῖς οὐχ οὕτως ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ὡς ὁ χνοῦς ὃν ἐκριπτεῖ ὁ ἄνεμος ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς (lxx) Psa 1:4 Non sic impii, non sic; sed tamquam pulvis quem projicit ventus a facie terræ.(Vulgate) Psa 1:4 Aber so sind die Gottlosen nicht, sondern wie Spreu, die der Wind verstreut.(dhs) 4 ׃1 לֹא־כֵ֥ן הָרְשָׁעִ֑ים כִּ֥י אִם־כַּ֝מֹּ֗ץ אֲֽשֶׁר־תִּדְּפֶ֥נּוּ רֽוּחַ׃ Psalms-(Hebrew) Psa 1:4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 1:5 ============ Psa 1:5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.(nasb-1995) Psa 1:5 διὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἀναστήσονται ἀσεβεῖς ἐν κρίσει οὐδὲ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐν βουλῇ δικαίων (lxx) Psa 1:5 Ideo non resurgent impii in judicio, neque peccatores in concilio justorum:(Vulgate) Psa 1:5 Darum bleiben die Gottlosen nicht im Gericht noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten.(dhs) 5 ׃1 עַל־כֵּ֤ן ׀ לֹא־יָקֻ֣מוּ רְ֭שָׁעִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וְ֝חַטָּאִ֗ים בַּעֲדַ֥ת צַדִּיקִֽים׃ Psalms-(Hebrew) Psa 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 1:6 ============ Psa 1:6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.
