And does not my eye dwell on their provocation?(nkjv) ======= Job 17:3 ============ Job 17:3 "Lay down, now, a pledge for me with Yourself; Who is there that will be my guarantor?(nasb) Job 17:3 Libera me, Domine, et pone me juxta te, et cujusvis manus pugnet contra me.(vulgate) Job 17:3 Determina ahora, dame fianza para contigo: ¿Quién [es] aquél [que] querría ser mi fiador?(E) Job 17:3 Sois auprès de toi-même ma caution; Autrement, qui répondrait pour moi?(F) Job 17:3 Sei du selber mein Bürge bei dir; wer will mich sonst vertreten?(D) Job 17:3 ἔκλεψαν δέ μου τὰ ὑπάρχοντα ἀλλότριοι τίς ἐστιν οὗτος τῇ χειρί μου συνδεθήτω(lxx) Job 17:3 "Now put down a pledge for me with Yourself. Who is he who will shake hands with me?(nkjv) ======= Job 17:4 ============ Job 17:4 "For You have kept their heart from understanding, Therefore You will not exalt them.(nasb) Job 17:4 Cor eorum longe fecisti a disciplina: propterea non exaltabuntur.(vulgate) Job 17:4 Porque has escondido de su corazón la inteligencia; por tanto, no [los] exaltarás.(E) Job 17:4 Car tu as fermé leur coeur à l'intelligence; Aussi ne les laisseras-tu pas triompher.(F) Job 17:4 Denn du hast ihrem Herzen den Verstand verborgen; darum wirst du ihnen den Sieg geben.(D) Job 17:4 ὅτι καρδίαν αὐτῶν ἔκρυψας ἀπὸ φρονήσεως διὰ τοῦτο οὐ μὴ ὑψώσῃς αὐτούς(lxx) Job 17:4 For You have hidden their heart from understanding; Therefore You will not exalt them.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:5 ============ Job 17:5 "He who informs against friends for a share of the spoil, The eyes of his children also will languish.(nasb) Job 17:5 Prædam pollicetur sociis, et oculi filiorum ejus deficient.(vulgate) Job 17:5 El que habla lisonjas a [sus] amigos, aun los ojos de sus hijos desfallecerán.(E) Job 17:5 On invite ses amis au partage du butin, Et l'on a des enfants dont les yeux se consument.(F) Job 17:5 Es rühmt wohl einer seinen Freunden die Ausbeute; aber seiner Kinder Augen werden verschmachten.(D) Job 17:5 τῇ μερίδι ἀναγγελεῖ κακίας ὀφθαλμοὶ δέ μου ἐφ᾽ υἱοῖς ἐτάκησαν(lxx) Job 17:5 He who speaks flattery to his friends, Even the eyes of his children will fail.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:6 ============ Job 17:6 "But He has made me a byword of the people, And I am one at whom men spit.(nasb) Job 17:6 Posuit me quasi in proverbium vulgi, et exemplum sum coram eis.(vulgate) Job 17:6 Él me ha puesto por refrán de pueblos, y delante de ellos he sido como tamboril.(E) Job 17:6 Il m'a rendu la fable des peuples, Et ma personne est un objet de mépris.(F) Job 17:6 Er hat mich zum Sprichwort unter den Leuten gemacht, und ich muß mir ins Angesicht speien lassen.(D) Job 17:6 ἔθου δέ με θρύλημα ἐν ἔθνεσιν γέλως δὲ αὐτοῖς ἀπέβην(lxx) Job 17:6 "But He has made me a byword of the people, And I have become one in whose face men spit.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:7 ============ Job 17:7 "My eye has also grown dim because of grief, And all my members are as a shadow.(nasb) Job 17:7 Caligavit ab indignatione oculus meus, et membra mea quasi in nihilum redacta sunt.(vulgate) Job 17:7 Y mis ojos se oscurecieron por causa del dolor, y mis pensamientos todos [son] como sombra.(E) Job 17:7 Mon oeil est obscurci par la douleur; Tous mes membres sont comme une ombre.(F) Job 17:7 Mein Auge ist dunkel geworden vor Trauern, und alle meine Glieder sind wie ein Schatten.(D) Job 17:7 πεπώρωνται γὰρ ἀπὸ ὀργῆς οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου πεπολιόρκημαι μεγάλως ὑπὸ πάντων(lxx) Job 17:7 My eye has also grown dim because of sorrow, And all my members are like shadows.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:8 ============ Job 17:8 "The upright will be appalled at this, And the innocent will stir up himself against the godless.(nasb) Job 17:8 Stupebunt justi super hoc, et innocens contra hypocritam suscitabitur.(vulgate) Job 17:8 Los rectos se maravillarán de esto, y el inocente se levantará contra el hipócrita.(E) Job 17:8 Les hommes droits en sont stupéfaits, Et l'innocent se soulève contre l'impie.(F) Job 17:8 Darüber werden die Gerechten sich entsetzen, und die Unschuldigen werden sich entrüsten gegen die Heuchler.(D) Job 17:8 θαῦμα ἔσχεν ἀληθινοὺς ἐπὶ τούτῳ δίκαιος δὲ ἐπὶ παρανόμῳ ἐπανασταίη(lxx) Job 17:8 Upright men are astonished at this, And the innocent stirs himself up against the hypocrite.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:9 ============ Job 17:9 "Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.(nasb) Job 17:9 Et tenebit justus viam suam, et mundis manibus addet fortitudinem.(vulgate) Job 17:9 No obstante, proseguirá el justo su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará la fuerza.(E) Job 17:9 Le juste néanmoins demeure ferme dans sa voie, Celui qui a les mains pures se fortifie de plus en plus.(F) Job 17:9 Aber der Gerechte wird seinen Weg behalten;
