Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 14:1 ============ Eze 14:1 Then some elders of Israel came to me and sat down before me.(nasb) Eze 14:1 Et venerunt ad me viri seniorum Israël, et sederunt coram me.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:1 Y vinieron a mí algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y se sentaron delante de mí.(E) Ézéchiel 14:1 Quelques-uns des anciens d'Israël vinrent auprès de moi et s'assirent devant moi.(F) Eze 14:1 Und es kamen etliche von den Ältesten Israels zu mir und setzten sich vor mir.(D) Eze 14:1 καὶ ἦλθον πρός με ἄνδρες ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐκάθισαν πρὸ προσώπου μου(lxx) Eze 14:1 Now some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:2 ============ Eze 14:2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nasb) Eze 14:2 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:2 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 14:2 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 14:2 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 14:2 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 14:2 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:3 ============ Eze 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity. Should I be consulted by them at all?(nasb) Eze 14:3 Fili hominis, viri isti posuerunt immunditias suas in cordibus suis, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerunt contra faciem suam: numquid interrogatus respondebo eis?(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:3 Hijo de hombre, estos hombres han puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro; ¿acaso he de ser yo, en manera alguna, consultado por ellos?(E) Ézéchiel 14:3 Fils de l'homme, ces gens-là portent leurs idoles dans leur coeur, et ils attachent les regards sur ce qui les a fait tomber dans l'iniquité. Me laisserai-je consulter par eux?(F) Eze 14:3 Menschenkind, diese Leute hangen mit ihrem Herzen an ihren Götzen und halten an dem Anstoß zu ihrer Missetat; sollte ich denn ihnen antworten, wenn sie mich fragen?(D) Eze 14:3 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου οἱ ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἔθεντο τὰ διανοήματα αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν ἔθηκαν πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν εἰ ἀποκρινόμενος ἀποκριθῶ αὐτοῖς(lxx) Eze 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:4 ============ Eze 14:4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,(nasb) Eze 14:4 Propter hoc loquere eis, et dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Homo, homo de domo Israël, qui posuerit immunditias suas in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam interrogans per eum me: ego Dominus respondebo ei in multitudine immunditiarum suarum,(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:4 Háblales, por tanto, y diles: Así dice Jehová el Señor: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro, y viniere al profeta, yo Jehová responderé al que viniere conforme a la multitud de sus ídolos;(E) Ézéchiel 14:4 C'est pourquoi parle-leur, et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Tout homme de la maison d'Israël qui porte ses idoles dans son coeur, et qui attache les regards sur ce qui l'a fait tomber dans son iniquité, -s'il vient s'adresser au prophète, -moi, l'Eternel, je lui répondrai, malgré la multitude de ses idoles,(F) Eze 14:4 Darum rede mit ihnen und sage zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Welcher Mensch vom Hause Israel mit dem Herzen an seinen Götzen hängt und hält an dem Anstoß zu seiner Missetat und kommt zum Propheten, dem will ich, der HERR, antworten, wie er verdient hat mit seiner großen Abgötterei,(D) Eze 14:4 διὰ τοῦτο λάλησον αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ ὃς ἂν θῇ τὰ διανοήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην ἐγὼ κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν οἷς ἐνέχεται ἡ διάνοια αὐτοῦ(lxx) Eze 14:4 Therefore speak to them, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:5 ============ Eze 14:5 in order to lay hold of the hearts of the house of Israel who are estranged from Me through all their idols."'(nasb) Eze 14:5 ut capiatur domus Israël in corde suo, quo recesserunt a me in cunctis idolis suis.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:5 para tomar a la casa de Israel en su corazón, que se han apartado de mí todos ellos por sus ídolos.(E) Ézéchiel 14:5 afin de saisir dans leur propre coeur ceux de la maison d'Israël qui se sont éloignés de moi avec toutes leurs idoles.(F) Eze 14:5 auf daß ich das Haus Israel fasse an ihrem Herzen, darum daß sie alle von mir gewichen sind durch ihre Abgötterei.(D) Eze 14:5 ὅπως πλαγιάσῃ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ κατὰ τὰς καρδίας αὐτῶν τὰς ἀπηλλοτριωμένας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν τοῖς ἐνθυμήμασιν αὐτῶν(lxx) Eze 14:5 that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols." '(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:6 ============ Eze 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Repent and turn away from your idols and turn your faces away from all your abominations.(nasb) Eze 14:6 Propterea dic ad domum Israël: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: Convertimini, et recedite ab idolis vestris, et ab universis contaminationibus vestris avertite facies vestras.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:6 Por tanto di a la casa de Israel: Así dice Jehová el Señor: Arrepentíos y volveos de vuestros ídolos, y apartad vuestro rostro de todas vuestras abominaciones.(E) Ézéchiel 14:6 C'est pourquoi dis à la maison d'Israël: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Revenez, et détournez-vous de vos idoles, détournez les regards de toutes vos abominations!(F) Eze 14:6 Darum sollst du zum Hause Israel sagen: So spricht der HERR HERR: Kehret und wendet euch von eurer Abgötterei und wendet euer Angesicht von allen euren Greueln.(D) Eze 14:6 διὰ τοῦτο εἰπὸν πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἐπιστράφητε καὶ ἀποστρέψατε ἀπὸ τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀσεβειῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπιστρέψατε τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν(lxx) Eze 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:7 ============ Eze 14:7 For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me for himself, I the Lord will be brought to answer him in My own person.(nasb) Eze 14:7 Quia homo, homo de domo Israël, et de proselytis quicumque advena fuerit in Israël, si alienatus fuerit a me, et posuerit idola sua in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam ut interroget per eum me: ego Dominus respondebo ei per me:(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:7 Porque cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, y de los extranjeros que moran en Israel, que se hubiere apartado de andar en pos de mí, y hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido delante de su rostro el tropiezo de su maldad, y viniere al profeta para preguntarle por mí, yo Jehová le responderé por mí mismo:(E) Ézéchiel 14:7 Car tout homme de la maison d'Israël, ou des étrangers séjournant en Israël, qui s'est éloigné de moi, qui porte ses idoles dans son coeur, et qui attache les regards sur ce qui l'a fait tomber dans son iniquité, -s'il vient s'adresser au prophète pour me consulter par lui, -moi, l'Eternel, je lui répondrai par moi.(F) Eze 14:7 Denn welcher Mensch vom Hause Israel oder welcher Fremdling, so in Israel wohnt, von mir weicht und mit seinem Herzen an seinen Götzen hängt und an dem Ärgernis seiner Abgötterei hält und zum Propheten kommt, daß er durch ihn mich frage: dem will ich, der HERR, selbst antworten;(D) Eze 14:7 διότι ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ ἐκ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν προσηλυτευόντων ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ ὃς ἂν ἀπαλλοτριωθῇ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ θῆται τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν κόλασιν τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ τάξῃ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλθῃ πρὸς τὸν προφήτην τοῦ ἐπερωτῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐν ἐμοί ἐγὼ κύριος ἀποκριθήσομαι αὐτῷ ἐν ᾧ ἐνέχεται ἐν αὐτῷ(lxx) Eze 14:7 For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the Lord will answer him by Myself.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:8 ============ Eze 14:8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among My people. So you will know that I am the Lord.(nasb) Eze 14:8 et ponam faciem meam super hominem illum, et faciam eum in exemplum et in proverbium, et disperdam eum de medio populi mei: et scietis quia ego Dominus.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:8 Y pondré mi rostro contra aquel hombre, y le pondré por señal y por refrán, y yo lo cortaré de entre mi pueblo; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.(E) Ézéchiel 14:8 Je tournerai ma face contre cet homme, je ferai de lui un signe et un sujet de sarcasme, et je l'exterminerai du milieu de mon peuple. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.(F) Eze 14:8 und will mein Angesicht wider ihn setzen, daß er soll wüst und zum Zeichen und Sprichwort werden, und ich will ihn aus meinem Volk ausrotten, daß ihr erfahren sollt, ich sei der HERR.(D) Eze 14:8 καὶ στηριῶ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπὶ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκεῖνον καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὸν εἰς ἔρημον καὶ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ ἐξαρῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος(lxx) Eze 14:8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:9 ============ Eze 14:9 "But if the prophet is prevailed upon to speak a word, it is I, the Lord, who have prevailed upon that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.(nasb) Eze 14:9 Et propheta cum erraverit, et locutus fuerit verbum, ego Dominus decepi prophetam illum, et extendam manum meam super illum, et delebo eum de medio populi mei Israël.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:9 Y si el profeta fuere engañado cuando hablare palabra, soy yo Jehová el que engañó a ese profeta; y extenderé mi mano contra él, y le raeré de en medio de mi pueblo Israel.(E) Ézéchiel 14:9 Si le prophète se laisse séduire, s'il prononce une parole, c'est moi, l'Eternel, qui aurai séduit ce prophète; j'étendrai ma main contre lui, et je le détruirai du milieu de mon peuple d'Israël.(F) Eze 14:9 Wo aber ein Prophet sich betören läßt, etwas zu reden, den habe ich, der HERR, betört, und will meine Hand über ihn ausstrecken und ihn aus meinem Volk Israel ausrotten.(D) Eze 14:9 καὶ ὁ προφήτης ἐὰν πλανηθῇ καὶ λαλήσῃ ἐγὼ κύριος πεπλάνηκα τὸν προφήτην ἐκεῖνον καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ ἀφανιῶ αὐτὸν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ λαοῦ μου Ισραηλ(lxx) Eze 14:9 And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I the Lord have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:10 ============ Eze 14:10 They will bear the punishment of their iniquity; as the iniquity of the inquirer is, so the iniquity of the prophet will be,(nasb) Eze 14:10 Et portabunt iniquitatem suam: juxta iniquitatem interrogantis, sic iniquitas prophetæ erit:(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:10 Y ambos llevarán el castigo de su maldad; el castigo del profeta será igual que el castigo de quien [le] consulta;(E) Ézéchiel 14:10 Ils porteront ainsi la peine de leur iniquité; la peine du prophète sera comme la peine de celui qui consulte,(F) Eze 14:10 Also sollen sie beide ihre Missetat tragen; wie die Missetat des Fragers, also soll auch sein die Missetat des Propheten,(D) Eze 14:10 καὶ λήμψονται τὴν ἀδικίαν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα τοῦ ἐπερωτῶντος καὶ κατὰ τὸ ἀδίκημα ὁμοίως τῷ προφήτῃ ἔσται(lxx) Eze 14:10 And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:11 ============ Eze 14:11 in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their transgressions. Thus they will be My people, and I shall be their God,"' declares the Lord God."(nasb) Eze 14:11 ut non erret ultra domus Israël a me, neque polluatur in universis prævaricationibus suis: sed sint mihi in populum, et ego sim eis in Deum, ait Dominus exercituum.~(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:11 para que la casa de Israel no se desvíe más de en pos de mí; ni se contamine más en todas sus rebeliones, y me sean por pueblo, y yo les sea por Dios, dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Ézéchiel 14:11 afin que la maison d'Israël ne s'égare plus loin de moi, et qu'elle ne se souille plus par toutes ses transgressions. Alors ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 14:11 auf daß das Haus Israel nicht mehr irregehe von mir und sich nicht mehr verunreinige in aller seiner Übertretung; sondern sie sollen mein Volk sein, und ich will ihr Gott sein, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 14:11 ὅπως μὴ πλανᾶται ἔτι ὁ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἵνα μὴ μιαίνωνται ἔτι ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς παραπτώμασιν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν λέγει κύριος(lxx) Eze 14:11 that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me, nor be profaned anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be My people and I may be their God," says the Lord God.' "(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:12 ============ Eze 14:12 Then the word of the Lord came to me saying,(nasb) Eze 14:12 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:12 Y vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:(E) Ézéchiel 14:12 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(F) Eze 14:12 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(D) Eze 14:12 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων(lxx) Eze 14:12 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:13 ============ Eze 14:13 "Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, and I stretch out My hand against it, destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast,(nasb) Eze 14:13 [Fili hominis, terra cum peccaverit mihi, ut prævaricetur prævaricans, extendam manum meam super eam, et conteram virgam panis ejus, et immittam in eam famem, et interficiam de ea hominem et jumentum.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:13 Hijo de hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, entonces yo extenderé mi mano sobre ella y le quebrantaré el sustento de pan y enviaré en ella hambre, y cortaré de ella hombres y bestias;(E) Ézéchiel 14:13 Fils de l'homme, lorsqu'un pays pécherait contre moi en se livrant à l'infidélité, et que j'étendrais ma main sur lui, -si je brisais pour lui le bâton du pain, si je lui envoyais la famine, si j'en exterminais les hommes et les bêtes,(F) Eze 14:13 Du Menschenkind, wenn ein Land an mir sündigt und dazu mich verschmäht, so will ich meine Hand über dasselbe ausstrecken und den Vorrat des Brotes wegnehmen und will Teuerung hineinschicken, daß ich Menschen und Vieh darin ausrotte.(D) Eze 14:13 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου γῆ ἐὰν ἁμάρτῃ μοι τοῦ παραπεσεῖν παράπτωμα καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ συντρίψω αὐτῆς στήριγμα ἄρτου καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν λιμὸν καὶ ἐξαρῶ ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτήνη(lxx) Eze 14:13 "Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:14 ============ Eze 14:14 even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord God.(nasb) Eze 14:14 Et si fuerint tres viri isti in medio ejus, Noë, Daniel, et Job, ipsi justitia sua liberabunt animas suas, ait Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:14 y aunque estuviesen en medio de ella estos tres varones, Noé, Daniel y Job, sólo ellos por su justicia librarían sus propias almas, dice el Señor Jehová.(E) Ézéchiel 14:14 et qu'il y eût au milieu de lui ces trois hommes, Noé, Daniel et Job, ils sauveraient leur âme par leur justice, dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Eze 14:14 Und wenn dann gleich die drei Männer Noah, Daniel und Hiob darin wären, so würden sie allein ihre eigene Seele erretten durch ihre Gerechtigkeit, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Eze 14:14 καὶ ἐὰν ὦσιν οἱ τρεῖς ἄνδρες οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς Νωε καὶ Δανιηλ καὶ Ιωβ αὐτοὶ ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ αὐτῶν σωθήσονται λέγει κύριος(lxx) Eze 14:14 Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness," says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:15 ============ Eze 14:15 "If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would pass through it because of the beasts,(nasb) Eze 14:15 Quod si et bestias pessimas induxero super terram ut vastem eam, et fuerit invia, eo quod non sit pertransiens propter bestias:(vulgate) Ezequiel 14:15 Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase a causa de las bestias,(E) Ézéchiel 14:15 Si je faisais parcourir le pays par des bêtes féroces qui le dépeupleraient, s'il devenait un désert où personne ne passerait à cause de ces bêtes,(F) Eze 14:15 Und wenn ich böse Tiere in das Land bringen würde, die die Leute aufräumten und es verwüsteten, daß niemand darin wandeln könnte vor den Tieren,(D) Eze 14:15 ἐὰν καὶ θηρία πονηρὰ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τιμωρήσομαι αὐτὴν καὶ ἔσται εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ διοδεύων ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν θηρίων(lxx) Eze 14:15 "If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate that no man may pass through because of the beasts,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 14:16 ============ Eze 14:16 though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord God, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters.
