and he did eat.(KJV) Genesis 3:6 So the woman (seeing that the tree was good for meate, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to get knowledge) tooke of the fruite thereof, and did eate, & gaue also to her husband with her, and he did eate.(Geneva) Genèse 3:6 La femme vit que l'arbre était bon à manger et agréable à la vue, et qu'il était précieux pour ouvrir l'intelligence; Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?(KJV) Genesis 3:11 And he saide, Who tolde thee, that thou wast naked? Est-ce que tu as mangé de l'arbre dont je t'avais défendu de manger?(FR) 11 ׃3 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מִ֚י הִגִּ֣יד לְךָ֔ כִּ֥י עֵירֹ֖ם אָ֑תָּה הֲמִן־הָעֵ֗ץ אֲשֶׁ֧ר צִוִּיתִ֛יךָ לְבִלְתִּ֥י אֲכָל־מִמֶּ֖נּוּ אָכָֽלְתָּ׃ Genesis Gen 3:11 And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:12 ============ Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.(KJV) Genesis 3:12 Then the man saide, The woman which thou gauest to be with me, she gaue me of the tree, and I did eate.(Geneva) Genèse 3:12 L'homme répondit: La femme que tu as mise auprès de moi m'a donné de l'arbre, et j'en ai mangé.(FR) 12 ׃3 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הָֽאָדָ֑ם הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תָּה עִמָּדִ֔י הִ֛וא נָֽתְנָה־לִּ֥י מִן־הָעֵ֖ץ וָאֹכֵֽל׃ Genesis Gen 3:12 The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate."(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:13 ============ Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.(KJV) Genesis 3:13 And the Lorde God saide to the woman, Why hast thou done this? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eate.(Geneva) Genèse 3:13 Et l'Eternel Dieu dit à la femme: Pourquoi as-tu fait cela? And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:14 ============ Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:(KJV) Genesis 3:14 Then the Lord God said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed aboue all cattell, and aboue euery beast of the fielde: vpon thy belly shalt thou goe, and dust shalt thou eate all the dayes of thy life.(Geneva) Genèse 3:14 L'Eternel Dieu dit au serpent: Puisque tu as fait cela, tu seras maudit entre tout le bétail et entre tous les animaux des champs, tu marcheras sur ton ventre, et tu mangeras de la poussière tous les jours de ta vie.(FR) 14 ׃3 וַיֹּאמֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ אֶֽל־הַנָּחָשׁ֮ כִּ֣י עָשִׂ֣יתָ זֹּאת֒ אָר֤וּר אַתָּה֙ מִכָּל־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה וּמִכֹּ֖ל חַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה עַל־גְּחֹנְךָ֣ תֵלֵ֔ךְ וְעָפָ֥ר תֹּאכַ֖ל כָּל־יְמֵ֥י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ Genesis Gen 3:14 The Lord God said to the serpent," Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life;(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:15 ============ Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.(KJV) Genesis 3:15 I wil also put enimitie betweene thee and the woman, and betweene thy seede & her seede. In sorowe shalt thou bring foorth children, and thy desire shalbe subiect to thine husbande, and he shall rule ouer thee.(Geneva) Genèse 3:16 Il dit à la femme: J'augmenterai la souffrance de tes grossesses, tu enfanteras avec douleur, et tes désirs se porteront vers ton mari, mais il dominera sur toi.(FR) 16 ׃3 אֶֽל־הָאִשָּׁ֣ה אָמַ֗ר הַרְבָּ֤ה אַרְבֶּה֙ עִצְּבוֹנֵ֣ךְ וְהֵֽרֹנֵ֔ךְ בְּעֶ֖צֶב תֵּֽלְדִ֣י בָנִ֑ים וְאֶל־אִישֵׁךְ֙ תְּשׁ֣וּקָתֵ֔ךְ וְה֖וּא יִמְשָׁל־בָּֽךְ׃ ס Genesis Gen 3:16 To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you."(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:17 ============ Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;(KJV) Genesis 3:17 Also to Adam he said, Because thou hast obeyed the voyce of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, (whereof I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eate of it) cursed is the earth for thy sake: in sorowe shalt thou eate of it all the dayes of thy life.(Geneva) Genèse 3:17 Il dit à l'homme: Puisque tu as écouté la voix de ta femme, et que tu as mangé de l'arbre au sujet duquel je t'avais donné cet ordre: Tu n'en mangeras point! le sol sera maudit à cause de toi. C'est à force de peine que tu en tireras ta nourriture tous les jours de ta vie,(FR) 17 ׃3 וּלְאָדָ֣ם אָמַ֗ר כִּֽי־שָׁמַעְתָּ֮ לְק֣וֹל אִשְׁתֶּךָ֒ וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ מִן־הָעֵ֔ץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר צִוִּיתִ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תֹאכַ֖ל מִמֶּ֑נּוּ אֲרוּרָ֤ה הָֽאֲדָמָה֙ בַּֽעֲבוּרֶ֔ךָ בְּעִצָּבוֹן֙ תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֔נָּה כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ Genesis Gen 3:17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life.(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:18 ============ Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;(KJV) Genesis 3:18 Thornes also, and thistles shall it bring foorth to thee, and thou shalt eate the herbe of the fielde.(Geneva) Genèse 3:18 il te produira des épines et des ronces, et tu mangeras de l'herbe des champs.(FR) 18 ׃3 וְק֥וֹץ וְדַרְדַּ֖ר תַּצְמִ֣יחַֽ לָ֑ךְ וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ אֶת־עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ Genesis Gen 3:18 "Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field;(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:19 ============ Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.(KJV) Genesis 3:19 In the sweate of thy face shalt thou eate bread, till thou returne to the earth: for out of it wast thou taken, because thou art dust, and to dust shalt thou returne.(Geneva) Genèse 3:19 C'est à la sueur de ton visage que tu mangeras du pain, jusqu'à ce que tu retournes dans la terre, d'où tu as été pris; car tu es poussière, et tu retourneras dans la poussière.(FR) 19 ׃3 בְּזֵעַ֤ת אַפֶּ֙יךָ֙ תֹּ֣אכַל לֶ֔חֶם עַ֤ד שֽׁוּבְךָ֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה כִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה לֻקָּ֑חְתָּ כִּֽי־עָפָ֣ר אַ֔תָּה וְאֶל־עָפָ֖ר תָּשֽׁוּב׃ Genesis Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return."(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:20 ============ Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.(KJV) Genesis 3:20 (And the man called his wiues name Heuah, because she was the mother of all liuing)(Geneva) Genèse 3:20 Adam donna à sa femme le nom d'Eve: car elle a été la mère de tous les vivants.(FR) 20 ׃3 וַיִּקְרָ֧א הָֽאָדָ֛ם שֵׁ֥ם אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ חַוָּ֑ה כִּ֛י הִ֥וא הָֽיְתָ֖ה אֵ֥ם כָּל־חָֽי׃ Genesis Gen 3:20 Now the man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living.(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:21 ============ Gen 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.(KJV) Genesis 3:21 Vnto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coates of skinnes, and clothed them.(Geneva) Genèse 3:21 L'Eternel Dieu fit à Adam et à sa femme des habits de peau, et il les en revêtit.(FR) 21 ׃3 וַיַּעַשׂ֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים לְאָדָ֧ם וּלְאִשְׁתּ֛וֹ כָּתְנ֥וֹת ע֖וֹר וַיַּלְבִּשֵֽׁם׃ פ Genesis Gen 3:21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.(nasb) ======= Genesis 3:22 ============ Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:(KJV) Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Beholde, the man is become as one of vs, to knowe good and euill; nowe lest he put foorth his hand, and take also of ye tree of life & eate & liue for euer,(Geneva) Genèse 3:22 L'Eternel Dieu dit: Voici, l'homme est devenu comme l'un de nous, pour la connaissance du bien et du mal.
