and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.(KJV) Genesis 17:11 That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.(Geneva) Genèse 17:11 Vous vous circoncirez; et ce sera un signe d'alliance entre moi et vous.(FR) 11 ׃17 וּנְמַלְתֶּ֕ם אֵ֖ת בְּשַׂ֣ר עָרְלַתְכֶ֑ם וְהָיָה֙ לְא֣וֹת בְּרִ֔ית בֵּינִ֖י וּבֵינֵיכֶֽם׃ Genesis Gen 17:11 And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you.(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:12 ============ Gen 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.(KJV) Genesis 17:12 And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.(Geneva) Genèse 17:12 A l'âge de huit jours, tout mâle parmi vous sera circoncis, selon vos générations, qu'il soit né dans la maison, ou qu'il soit acquis à prix d'argent de tout fils d'étranger, sans appartenir à ta race.(FR) 12 ׃17 וּבֶן־שְׁמֹנַ֣ת יָמִ֗ים יִמּ֥וֹל לָכֶ֛ם כָּל־זָכָ֖ר לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶ֑ם יְלִ֣יד בָּ֔יִת וּמִקְנַת־כֶּ֙סֶף֙ מִכֹּ֣ל בֶּן־נֵכָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹ֥א מִֽזַּרְעֲךָ֖ הֽוּא׃ Genesis Gen 17:12 And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, a servant who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your descendants.(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:13 ============ Gen 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.(KJV) Genesis 17:13 He that is borne in thine house, & he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.(Geneva) Genèse 17:13 On devra circoncire celui qui est né dans la maison et celui qui est acquis à prix d'argent; thus shall My covenant be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:14 ============ Gen 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.(KJV) Genesis 17:14 But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.(Geneva) Genèse 17:14 Un mâle incirconcis, qui n'aura pas été circoncis dans sa chair, sera exterminé du milieu de son peuple: il aura violé mon alliance.(FR) 14 ׃17 וְעָרֵ֣ל ׀ זָכָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־יִמּוֹל֙ אֶת־בְּשַׂ֣ר עָרְלָת֔וֹ וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מֵעַמֶּ֑יהָ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י הֵפַֽר׃ ס Genesis Gen 17:14 But an uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant."(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:15 ============ Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.(KJV) Genesis 17:15 Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.(Geneva) Genèse 17:15 Dieu dit à Abraham: Tu ne donneras plus à Saraï, ta femme, le nom de Saraï; mais son nom sera Sara.(FR) 15 ׃17 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֔ם שָׂרַ֣י אִשְׁתְּךָ֔ לֹא־תִקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמָ֖הּ שָׂרָ֑י כִּ֥י שָׂרָ֖ה שְׁמָֽהּ׃ Genesis Gen 17:15 Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:16 ============ Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:18 ============ Gen 17:18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!(KJV) Genesis 17:18 And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.(Geneva) Genèse 17:18 Et Abraham dit à Dieu: Oh! qu'Ismaël vive devant ta face!(FR) 18 ׃17 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֶל־הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִ֑ים ל֥וּ יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל יִחְיֶ֥ה לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃ Genesis Gen 17:18 And Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before You!"(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:19 ============ Gen 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.(KJV) Genesis 17:19 Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.(Geneva) Genèse 17:19 Dieu dit: Certainement Sara, ta femme, t'enfantera un fils; et tu l'appelleras du nom d'Isaac. J'établirai mon alliance avec lui comme une alliance perpétuelle pour sa postérité après lui.(FR) 19 ׃17 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֲבָל֙ שָׂרָ֣ה אִשְׁתְּךָ֗ יֹלֶ֤דֶת לְךָ֙ בֵּ֔ן וְקָרָ֥אתָ אֶת־שְׁמ֖וֹ יִצְחָ֑ק וַהֲקִמֹתִ֨י אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֥י אִתּ֛וֹ לִבְרִ֥ית עוֹלָ֖ם לְזַרְע֥וֹ אַחֲרָֽיו׃ Genesis Gen 17:19 But God said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.(nasb) ======= Genesis 17:20 ============ Gen 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.(KJV) Genesis 17:20 And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.(Geneva) Genèse 17:20 A l'égard d'Ismaël, je t'ai exaucé. Voici, je le bénirai, je le rendrai fécond, et je le multiplierai à l'infini; il engendrera douze princes, et je ferai de lui une grande nation.(FR) 20 ׃17 וּֽלְיִשְׁמָעֵאל֘ שְׁמַעְתִּיךָ֒ הִנֵּ֣ה ׀ בֵּרַ֣כְתִּי אֹת֗וֹ וְהִפְרֵיתִ֥י אֹת֛וֹ וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֥י אֹת֖וֹ בִּמְאֹ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֤ר נְשִׂיאִם֙ יוֹלִ֔יד וּנְתַתִּ֖יו לְג֥וֹי גָּדֽוֹל׃ Genesis Gen 17:20 As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly.
