Quand il les vit, il courut au-devant d'eux, depuis l'entrée de sa tente, et se prosterna en terre.(FR) 2 ׃18 וַיִּשָּׂ֤א עֵינָיו֙ וַיַּ֔רְא וְהִנֵּה֙ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֔ים נִצָּבִ֖ים עָלָ֑יו וַיַּ֗רְא וַיָּ֤רָץ לִקְרָאתָם֙ מִפֶּ֣תַח הָאֹ֔הֶל וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ אָֽרְצָה׃ Genesis Gen 18:2 When he lifted up his eyes and looked, behold, three men were standing opposite him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth,(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:3 ============ Gen 18:3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:(KJV) Genesis 18:3 And he said, Lord, if I haue now founde fauour in thy sight, goe not, I pray thee, from thy seruant.(Geneva) Genèse 18:3 Et il dit: Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, ne passe point, je te prie, loin de ton serviteur.(FR) 3 ׃18 וַיֹּאמַ֑ר אֲדֹנָ֗י אִם־נָ֨א מָצָ֤אתִי חֵן֙ בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ אַל־נָ֥א תַעֲבֹ֖ר מֵעַ֥ל עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ Genesis Gen 18:3 and said, "My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not pass Your servant by.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:4 ============ Gen 18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:(KJV) Genesis 18:4 Let a litle water, I pray you, be brought, and wash your feete, and rest your selues vnder the tree.(Geneva) Genèse 18:4 Permettez qu'on apporte un peu d'eau, pour vous laver les pieds; et reposez-vous sous cet arbre.(FR) 4 ׃18 יֻקַּֽח־נָ֣א מְעַט־מַ֔יִם וְרַחֲצ֖וּ רַגְלֵיכֶ֑ם וְהִֽשָּׁעֲנ֖וּ תַּ֥חַת הָעֵֽץ׃ Genesis Gen 18:4 Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree;(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:5 ============ Gen 18:5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.(KJV) Genesis 18:5 And I will bring a morsell of bread, that you may comfort your hearts, afterward ye shall go your wayes: for therefore are ye come to your seruant; they said, Do euen as thou hast said.(Geneva) Genèse 18:5 J'irai prendre un morceau de pain, pour fortifier votre coeur; après quoi, vous continuerez votre route; car c'est pour cela que vous passez près de votre serviteur. Ils répondirent: Fais comme tu l'as dit.(FR) 5 ׃18 וְאֶקְחָ֨ה פַת־לֶ֜חֶם וְסַעֲד֤וּ לִבְּכֶם֙ אַחַ֣ר תַּעֲבֹ֔רוּ כִּֽי־עַל־כֵּ֥ן עֲבַרְתֶּ֖ם עַֽל־עַבְדְּכֶ֑ם וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ כֵּ֥ן תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃ Genesis Gen 18:5 and I will bring a piece of bread, that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant." And they said, "So do, as you have said."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:6 ============ Gen 18:6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.(KJV) Genesis 18:6 Then Abraham made haste into the tent vnto Sarah, and saide, Make ready at once three measures of fine meale: kneade it, and make cakes vpon the hearth.(Geneva) Genèse 18:6 Abraham alla promptement dans sa tente vers Sara, et il dit: Vite, trois mesures de fleur de farine, pétris, et fais des gâteaux.(FR) 6 ׃18 וַיְמַהֵ֧ר אַבְרָהָ֛ם הָאֹ֖הֱלָה אֶל־שָׂרָ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מַהֲרִ֞י שְׁלֹ֤שׁ סְאִים֙ קֶ֣מַח סֹ֔לֶת ל֖וּשִׁי וַעֲשִׂ֥י עֻגֽוֹת׃ Genesis Gen 18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah, and said, "Quickly, prepare three measures of fine flour, knead it and make bread cakes."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:7 ============ Gen 18:7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.(KJV) Genesis 18:7 And Abraham ranne to the beastes, and tooke a tender and good calfe, and gaue it to the seruant, who hasted to make it ready.(Geneva) Genèse 18:7 Et Abraham courut à son troupeau, prit un veau tendre et bon, et le donna à un serviteur, qui se hâta de l'apprêter.(FR) 7 ׃18 וְאֶל־הַבָּקָ֖ר רָ֣ץ אַבְרָהָ֑ם וַיִּקַּ֨ח בֶּן־בָּקָ֜ר רַ֤ךְ וָטוֹב֙ וַיִּתֵּ֣ן אֶל־הַנַּ֔עַר וַיְמַהֵ֖ר לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת אֹתֽוֹ׃ Genesis Gen 18:7 Abraham also ran to the herd, and took a tender and choice calf and gave it to the servant, and he hurried to prepare it.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:8 ============ Gen 18:8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.(KJV) Genesis 18:8 And he tooke butter and milke, and the calfe, which he had prepared, and set before them, and stoode himselfe by them vnder the tree, and they did eate.(Geneva) Genèse 18:8 Il prit encore de la crème et du lait, avec le veau qu'on avait apprêté, et il les mit devant eux. And he said, Behold, in the tent.(KJV) Genesis 18:9 Then they saide to him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he answered, Beholde, she is in the tent.(Geneva) Genèse 18:9 Alors ils lui dirent: Où est Sara, ta femme? And he said, "There, in the tent."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:10 ============ Gen 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.(KJV) Genesis 18:10 And he saide, I will certainely come againe vnto thee according to ye time of life: and loe, Sarah thy wife shall haue a sonne; Sarah heard in the tent doore, which was behinde him.(Geneva) Genèse 18:10 L'un d'entre eux dit: Je reviendrai vers toi à cette même époque; et voici, Sara, ta femme, aura un fils. Sara écoutait à l'entrée de la tente, qui était derrière lui.(FR) 10 ׃18 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר שׁ֣וֹב אָשׁ֤וּב אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ כָּעֵ֣ת חַיָּ֔ה וְהִנֵּה־בֵ֖ן לְשָׂרָ֣ה אִשְׁתֶּ֑ךָ וְשָׂרָ֥ה שֹׁמַ֛עַת פֶּ֥תַח הָאֹ֖הֶל וְה֥וּא אַחֲרָֽיו׃ Genesis Gen 18:10 He said, "I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son." And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:11 ============ Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.(KJV) Genesis 18:11 (Nowe Abraham and Sarah were old and striken in age, and it ceased to be with Sarah after the maner of women)(Geneva) Genèse 18:11 Abraham et Sara étaient vieux, avancés en âge: et Sara ne pouvait plus espérer avoir des enfants.(FR) 11 ׃18 וְאַבְרָהָ֤ם וְשָׂרָה֙ זְקֵנִ֔ים בָּאִ֖ים בַּיָּמִ֑ים חָדַל֙ לִהְי֣וֹת לְשָׂרָ֔ה אֹ֖רַח כַּנָּשִֽׁים׃ Genesis Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:12 ============ Gen 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?(KJV) Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within her selfe, saying, After I am waxed olde, and my lord also, shall I haue lust?(Geneva) Genèse 18:12 Elle rit en elle-même, en disant: Maintenant que je suis vieille, aurais-je encore des désirs? Mon seigneur aussi est vieux.(FR) 12 ׃18 וַתִּצְחַ֥ק שָׂרָ֖ה בְּקִרְבָּ֣הּ לֵאמֹ֑ר אַחֲרֵ֤י בְלֹתִי֙ הֽ͏ָיְתָה־לִּ֣י עֶדְנָ֔ה וֽ͏ַאדֹנִ֖י זָקֵֽן׃ Genesis Gen 18:12 Sarah laughed to herself, saying, "After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:13 ============ Gen 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?(KJV) Genesis 18:13 And ye Lord saide vnto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah thus laugh, saying, Shall I certainely beare a childe, which am olde?(Geneva) Genèse 18:13 L'Eternel dit à Abraham: Pourquoi donc Sara a-t-elle ri, en disant: Est-ce que vraiment j'aurais un enfant, moi qui suis vieille?(FR) 13 ׃18 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֑ם לָ֣מָּה זֶּה֩ צָחֲקָ֨ה שָׂרָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר הַאַ֥ף אֻמְנָ֛ם אֵלֵ֖ד וַאֲנִ֥י זָקַֽנְתִּי׃ Genesis Gen 18:13 And the Lord said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?'(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:14 ============ Gen 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.(KJV) Genesis 18:14 (Shall any thing be hard to the Lord? at the time appointed will I returne vnto thee, euen according to the time of life, and Sarah shall haue a sonne.)(Geneva) Genèse 18:14 Y a-t-il rien qui soit étonnant de la part de l'Eternel? Au temps fixé je reviendrai vers toi, à cette même époque; et Sara aura un fils.(FR) 14 ׃18 הֲיִפָּלֵ֥א מֵיְהוָ֖ה דָּבָ֑ר לַמּוֹעֵ֞ד אָשׁ֥וּב אֵלֶ֛יךָ כָּעֵ֥ת חַיָּ֖ה וּלְשָׂרָ֥ה בֵֽן׃ Genesis Gen 18:14 Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:15 ============ Gen 18:15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.(KJV) Genesis 18:15 But Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not: for she was afraide; he said, It is not so: for thou laughedst.(Geneva) Genèse 18:15 Sara mentit, en disant: Je n'ai pas ri. Mais il dit: Au contraire, tu as ri.(FR) 15 ׃18 וַתְּכַחֵ֨שׁ שָׂרָ֧ה ׀ לֵאמֹ֛ר לֹ֥א צָחַ֖קְתִּי כִּ֣י ׀ יָרֵ֑אָה וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ׀ לֹ֖א כִּ֥י צָחָֽקְתְּ׃ Genesis Gen 18:15 Sarah denied it however, saying, "I did not laugh"; for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:16 ============ Gen 18:16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.(KJV) Genesis 18:16 Afterwarde the men did rise vp from thence and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.(Geneva) Genèse 18:16 Ces hommes se levèrent pour partir, et ils regardèrent du côté de Sodome. Abraham alla avec eux, pour les accompagner.(FR) 16 ׃18 וַיָּקֻ֤מוּ מִשָּׁם֙ הֽ͏ָאֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַיַּשְׁקִ֖פוּ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י סְדֹ֑ם וְאַ֨בְרָהָ֔ם הֹלֵ֥ךְ עִמָּ֖ם לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃ Genesis Gen 18:16 Then the men rose up from there, and looked down toward Sodom; and Abraham was walking with them to send them off.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:17 ============ Gen 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;(KJV) Genesis 18:17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I doe,(Geneva) Genèse 18:17 Alors l'Eternel dit: Cacherai-je à Abraham ce que je vais faire?...(FR) 17 ׃18 וַֽיהֹוָ֖ה אָמָ֑ר הֽ͏ַמְכַסֶּ֤ה אֲנִי֙ מֽ͏ֵאַבְרָהָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר אֲנִ֥י עֹשֶֽׂה׃ Genesis Gen 18:17 The Lord said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do,(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:18 ============ Gen 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?(KJV) Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shalbe in deede a great and a mightie nation, and all the nations of the earth shalbe blessed in him?(Geneva) Genèse 18:18 Abraham deviendra certainement une nation grande et puissante, et en lui seront bénies toutes les nations de la terre.(FR) 18 ׃18 וְאַ֨בְרָהָ֔ם הָי֧וֹ יִֽהְיֶ֛ה לְג֥וֹי גָּד֖וֹל וְעָצ֑וּם וְנִ֨בְרְכוּ ב֔וֹ כֹּ֖ל גּוֹיֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Genesis Gen 18:18 since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed?(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:19 ============ Gen 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.(KJV) Genesis 18:19 For I knowe him that he will commande his sonnes and his houshold after him, that they keepe the way of the Lord, to doe righteousnesse and iudgement, that the Lord may bring vpon Abraham that he hath spoken vnto him.(Geneva) Genèse 18:19 Car je l'ai choisi, afin qu'il ordonne à ses fils et à sa maison après lui de garder la voie de l'Eternel, en pratiquant la droiture et la justice, et qu'ainsi l'Eternel accomplisse en faveur d'Abraham les promesses qu'il lui a faites...(FR) 19 ׃18 כִּ֣י יְדַעְתִּ֗יו לְמַעַן֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְצַוֶּ֜ה אֶת־בָּנָ֤יו וְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ֙ אַחֲרָ֔יו וְשָֽׁמְרוּ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ יְהוָ֔ה לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת צְדָקָ֖ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט לְמַ֗עַן הָבִ֤יא יְהוָה֙ עַל־אַבְרָהָ֔ם אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֖ר עָלָֽיו׃ Genesis Gen 18:19 For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:20 ============ Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;(KJV) Genesis 18:20 Then the Lorde saide, Because the crie of Sodom and Gomorah is great, and because their sinne is exceeding grieuous,(Geneva) Genèse 18:20 Et l'Eternel dit: Le cri contre Sodome et Gomorrhe s'est accru, et leur péché est énorme.(FR) 20 ׃18 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֔ה זַעֲקַ֛ת סְדֹ֥ם וַעֲמֹרָ֖ה כִּי־רָ֑בָּה וְחַ֨טָּאתָ֔ם כִּ֥י כָבְדָ֖ה מְאֹֽד׃ Genesis Gen 18:20 And the Lord said, "The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:21 ============ Gen 18:21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.(KJV) Genesis 18:21 I will goe downe nowe, and see whether they haue done altogether according to that crie which is come vnto me: and if not, that I may knowe.(Geneva) Genèse 18:21 C'est pourquoi je vais descendre, et je verrai s'ils ont agi entièrement selon le bruit venu jusqu'à moi; et si cela n'est pas, je le saurai.(FR) 21 ׃18 אֵֽרֲדָה־נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה הַכְּצַעֲקָתָ֛הּ הַבָּ֥אָה אֵלַ֖י עָשׂ֣וּ ׀ כָּלָ֑ה וְאִם־לֹ֖א אֵדָֽעָה׃ Genesis Gen 18:21 I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know."(nasb) ======= Genesis 18:22 ============ Gen 18:22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.(KJV) Genesis 18:22 And the men turned thence and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stoode yet before the Lord.(Geneva) Genèse 18:22 Les hommes s'éloignèrent, et allèrent vers Sodome. And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.(KJV) Genesis 18:28 If there shall lacke fiue of fiftie righteous, wilt thou destroy all the citie for fiue? And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.(KJV) Genesis 18:30 Againe he said, Let not my Lord nowe be angry, that I speake, What if thirtie be founde there? Peut-être s'y trouvera-t-il dix justes.
