Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.(KJV) Genesis 50:5 My father made me sweare, saying, Loe, I die, bury me in my graue, which I haue made me in the land of Canaan: now therefore let me go, I pray thee, & bury my father, & I wil come againe.(Geneva) Genèse 50:5 Mon père m'a fait jurer, en disant: Voici, je vais mourir! Tu m'enterreras dans le sépulcre que je me suis acheté au pays de Canaan. C'est pourquoi l'on a donné le nom d'Abel-Mitsraïm à cette aire qui est au delà du Jourdain.(FR) 11 ׃50 וַיַּ֡רְא יוֹשֵׁב֩ הָאָ֨רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֜י אֶת־הָאֵ֗בֶל בְּגֹ֙רֶן֙ הָֽאָטָ֔ד וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֵֽבֶל־כָּבֵ֥ד זֶ֖ה לְמִצְרָ֑יִם עַל־כֵּ֞ן קָרָ֤א שְׁמָהּ֙ אָבֵ֣ל מִצְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּעֵ֥בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ Genesis Gen 50:11 Now when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, "This is a grievous mourning for the Egyptians." Therefore it was named Abel-mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.(KJV) Genesis 50:17 Thus shal ye say vnto Ioseph, Forgiue now, I pray thee, the trespasse of thy brethren, and their sinne: for they rewarded thee euil; nowe, we pray thee, forgiue the trespasse of the seruants of thy fathers God; Ioseph wept, when they spake vnto him.(Geneva) Genèse 50:17 Vous parlerez ainsi à Joseph: Oh! pardonne le crime de tes frères et leur péché, car ils t'ont fait du mal! Pardonne maintenant le péché des serviteurs du Dieu de ton père! Joseph pleura, en entendant ces paroles.(FR) 17 ׃50 כֹּֽה־תֹאמְר֣וּ לְיוֹסֵ֗ף אָ֣נָּ֡א שָׂ֣א נָ֠א פֶּ֣שַׁע אַחֶ֤יךָ וְחַטָּאתָם֙ כִּי־רָעָ֣ה גְמָל֔וּךָ וְעַתָּה֙ שָׂ֣א נָ֔א לְפֶ֥שַׁע עַבְדֵ֖י אֱלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֑יךָ וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ יוֹסֵ֖ף בְּדַבְּרָ֥ם אֵלָֽיו׃ Genesis Gen 50:17 'Thus you shall say to Joseph, "Please forgive, I beg you, the transgression of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong."' And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father." And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:18 ============ Gen 50:18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.(KJV) Genesis 50:18 Also his brethren came vnto him, and fell downe before his face, and sayde, Beholde, we be thy seruants.(Geneva) Genèse 50:18 Ses frères vinrent eux-mêmes se prosterner devant lui, et ils dirent: Nous sommes tes serviteurs.(FR) 18 ׃50 וַיֵּלְכוּ֙ גַּם־אֶחָ֔יו וֽ͏ַיִּפְּל֖וּ לְפָנָ֑יו וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ הִנֶּ֥נּֽוּ לְךָ֖ לַעֲבָדִֽים׃ Genesis Gen 50:18 Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, "Behold, we are your servants."(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:19 ============ Gen 50:19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?(KJV) Genesis 50:19 To whome Ioseph sayde, Feare not: for am not I vnder God?(Geneva) Genèse 50:19 Joseph leur dit: Soyez sans crainte; car suis-je à la place de Dieu?(FR) 19 ׃50 וַיֹּ֧אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֛ם יוֹסֵ֖ף אַל־תִּירָ֑אוּ כִּ֛י הֲתַ֥חַת אֱלֹהִ֖ים אָֽנִי׃ Genesis Gen 50:19 But Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for am I in God's place?(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:20 ============ Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.(KJV) Genesis 50:20 When ye thought euill against mee, God disposed it to good, that he might bring to passe, as it is this day, and saue much people aliue.(Geneva) Genèse 50:20 Vous aviez médité de me faire du mal: Dieu l'a changé en bien, pour accomplir ce qui arrive aujourd'hui, pour sauver la vie à un peuple nombreux.(FR) 20 ׃50 וְאַתֶּ֕ם חֲשַׁבְתֶּ֥ם עָלַ֖י רָעָ֑ה אֱלֹהִים֙ חֲשָׁבָ֣הּ לְטֹבָ֔ה לְמַ֗עַן עֲשֹׂ֛ה כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה לְהַחֲיֹ֥ת עַם־רָֽב׃ Genesis Gen 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:21 ============ Gen 50:21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.(KJV) Genesis 50:21 Feare not nowe therefore, I will nourish you, and your children: and hee comforted them, and spake kindly vnto them.(Geneva) Genèse 50:21 Soyez donc sans crainte; je vous entretiendrai, vous et vos enfants. So he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Mais Dieu vous visitera, et il vous fera remonter de ce pays-ci dans le pays qu'il a juré de donner à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob.(FR) 24 ׃50 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹסֵף֙ אֶל־אֶחָ֔יו אָנֹכִ֖י מֵ֑ת וֵֽאלֹהִ֞ים פָּקֹ֧ד יִפְקֹ֣ד אֶתְכֶ֗ם וְהֶעֱלָ֤ה אֶתְכֶם֙ מִן־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִשְׁבַּ֛ע לְאַבְרָהָ֥ם לְיִצְחָ֖ק וּֽלְיַעֲקֹֽב׃ Genesis Gen 50:24 Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob."(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:25 ============ Gen 50:25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.(KJV) Genesis 50:25 And Ioseph tooke an oth of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visite you, and ye shall cary my bones hence.(Geneva) Genèse 50:25 Joseph fit jurer les fils d'Israël, en disant: Dieu vous visitera; et vous ferez remonter mes os loin d'ici.(FR) 25 ׃50 וַיַּשְׁבַּ֣ע יוֹסֵ֔ף אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר פָּקֹ֨ד יִפְקֹ֤ד אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְהַעֲלִתֶ֥ם אֶת־עַצְמֹתַ֖י מִזֶּֽה׃ Genesis Gen 50:25 Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, "God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones up from here."(nasb) ======= Genesis 50:26 ============ Gen 50:26 So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.(kjv) Genesis 50:26 So Ioseph died, when he was an hundreth and ten yere olde: and they enbaumed him & put him in a chest in Egypt.(Geneva) Genèse 50:26 Joseph mourut, âgé de cent dix ans. On l'embauma, et on le mit dans un cercueil en Egypte.(FR) 26 ׃50 וַיָּ֣מָת יוֹסֵ֔ף בֶּן־מֵאָ֥ה וָעֶ֖שֶׂר שָׁנִ֑ים וַיַּחַנְט֣וּ אֹת֔וֹ וַיִּ֥ישֶׂם בָּאָר֖וֹן בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ Genesis Gen 50:26 So Joseph died at the age of one hundred and ten years; and he was embalmed and placed in a coffin in Egypt.
