So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:4 ============ Exo 4:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:(KJV) Exodus 4:4 Againe the Lorde saide vnto Moses, Put foorth thine hand, and take it by the tayle. Then he put foorth his hande and caught it, and it was turned into a rod in his hand.(Geneva) Exode 4:4 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Etends ta main, et saisis-le par la queue. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.(KJV) Exodus 4:6 And the Lorde saide furthermore vnto him, Thrust nowe thine hand into thy bosome; he thrust his hand into his bosome, & when he tooke it out againe, behold, his hand was leprous as snowe.(Geneva) Exode 4:6 L'Eternel lui dit encore: Mets ta main dans ton sein. So he put his hand into his bosom again, and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:8 ============ Exo 4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.(KJV) Exodus 4:8 So shall it be, if they wil not beleeue thee, neither obey the voyce of ye first signe, yet shall they beleeue for the voyce of the seconde signe.(Geneva) Exode 4:8 S'ils ne te croient pas, dit l'Eternel, et n'écoutent pas la voix du premier signe, ils croiront à la voix du dernier signe.(FR) 8 ׃4 וְהָיָה֙ אִם־לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ לָ֔ךְ וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁמְע֔וּ לְקֹ֖ל הָאֹ֣ת הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן וְהֶֽאֱמִ֔ינוּ לְקֹ֖ל הָאֹ֥ת הָאַחֲרֽוֹן׃ Exodus Exo 4:8 "If they will not believe you or heed the witness of the first sign, they may believe the witness of the last sign.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:9 ============ Exo 4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.(KJV) Exodus 4:9 But if they will not yet beleeue these two signes, neither obey vnto thy voyce, then shalt thou take of the water of the riuer, and powre it vpon the drie lande: so the water which thou shalt take out of the riuer, shalbe turned to blood vpon the drie land.(Geneva) Exode 4:9 S'ils ne croient pas même à ces deux signes, et n'écoutent pas ta voix, tu prendras de l'eau du fleuve, tu la répandras sur la terre, et l'eau que tu auras prise du fleuve deviendra du sang sur la terre.(FR) 9 ׃4 וְהָיָ֡ה אִם־לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֡ינוּ גַּם֩ לִשְׁנֵ֨י הָאֹת֜וֹת הָאֵ֗לֶּה וְלֹ֤א יִשְׁמְעוּן֙ לְקֹלֶ֔ךָ וְלָקַחְתָּ֙ מִמֵּימֵ֣י הַיְאֹ֔ר וְשָׁפַכְתָּ֖ הַיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה וְהָי֤וּ הַמַּ֙יִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּקַּ֣ח מִן־הַיְאֹ֔ר וְהָי֥וּ לְדָ֖ם בַּיַּבָּֽשֶׁת׃ Exodus Exo 4:9 But if they will not believe even these two signs or heed what you say, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground; and the water which you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground."(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:10 ============ Exo 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.(KJV) Exodus 4:10 But Moses said vnto the Lorde, Oh my Lorde, I am not eloquent, neither at any time haue bene, nor yet since thou hast spoken vnto thy seruant: but I am slowe of speach & slowe of tongue.(Geneva) Exode 4:10 Moïse dit à l'Eternel: Ah! Seigneur, je ne suis pas un homme qui ait la parole facile, et ce n'est ni d'hier ni d'avant-hier, ni même depuis que tu parles à ton serviteur; car j'ai la bouche et la langue embarrassées.(FR) 10 ׃4 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל־יְהוָה֮ בִּ֣י אֲדֹנָי֒ לֹא֩ אִ֨ישׁ דְּבָרִ֜ים אָנֹ֗כִי גַּ֤ם מִתְּמוֹל֙ גַּ֣ם מִשִּׁלְשֹׁ֔ם גַּ֛ם מֵאָ֥ז דַּבֶּרְךָ[c] אֶל־עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֧י כְבַד־פֶּ֛ה וּכְבַ֥ד לָשׁ֖וֹן אָנֹֽכִי׃ Exodus Exo 4:10 Then Moses said to the Lord, "Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue."(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:11 ============ Exo 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?(KJV) Exodus 4:11 Then the Lorde said vnto him, Who hath giuen the mouth to man? or who hath made the domme, or the deafe, or him that seeth, or the blinde? haue not I the Lorde?(Geneva) Exode 4:11 L'Eternel lui dit: Qui a fait la bouche de l'homme? et qui rend muet ou sourd, voyant ou aveugle? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? (nasb) ======= Exodus 4:14 ============ Exo 4:14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.(KJV) Exodus 4:14 Then the Lorde was verie angrie with Moses, and said, Doe not I know Aaron thy brother the Leuite, that he himselfe shall speake? for loe, he commeth also foorth to meete thee, and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.(Geneva) Exode 4:14 Alors la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Moïse, et il dit: N'y a t-il pas ton frère Aaron, le Lévite? Je sais qu'il parlera facilement. Le voici lui-même, qui vient au-devant de toi; et, quand il te verra, il se réjouira dans son coeur.(FR) 14 ׃4 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֨ף יְהוָ֜ה בְּמֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ הֲלֹ֨א אַהֲרֹ֤ן אָחִ֙יךָ֙ הַלֵּוִ֔י יָדַ֕עְתִּי כִּֽי־דַבֵּ֥ר יְדַבֵּ֖ר ה֑וּא וְגַ֤ם הִנֵּה־הוּא֙ יֹצֵ֣א לִקְרָאתֶ֔ךָ וְרָאֲךָ֖ וְשָׂמַ֥ח בְּלִבּֽוֹ׃ Exodus Exo 4:14 Then the anger of the Lord burned against Moses, and He said, "Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover, behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:15 ============ Exo 4:15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.(KJV) Exodus 4:15 Therefore thou shalt speake vnto him, and put the wordes in his mouth, and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye ought to doe.(Geneva) Exode 4:15 Tu lui parleras, et tu mettras les paroles dans sa bouche; et moi, je serai avec ta bouche et avec sa bouche, et je vous enseignerai ce que vous aurez à faire.(FR) 15 ׃4 וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֔יו וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים בְּפִ֑יו וְאָנֹכִ֗י אֶֽהְיֶ֤ה עִם־פִּ֙יךָ֙ וְעִם־פִּ֔יהוּ וְהוֹרֵיתִ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם אֵ֖ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֽׂוּן׃ Exodus Exo 4:15 You are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:16 ============ Exo 4:16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.(KJV) Exodus 4:16 And he shall be thy spokesman vnto the people: and he shall be, euen he shall be as thy mouth, and thou shalt be to him as God.(Geneva) Exode 4:16 Il parlera pour toi au peuple; il te servira de bouche, et tu tiendras pour lui la place de Dieu.(FR) 16 ׃4 וְדִבֶּר־ה֥וּא לְךָ֖ אֶל־הָעָ֑ם וְהָ֤יָה הוּא֙ יִֽהְיֶה־לְּךָ֣ לְפֶ֔ה וְאַתָּ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶה־לּ֥וֹ לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ Exodus Exo 4:16 Moreover, he shall speak for you to the people; and he will be as a mouth for you and you will be as God to him.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:17 ============ Exo 4:17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.(KJV) Exodus 4:17 Moreouer thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do miracles.(Geneva) Exode 4:17 Prends dans ta main cette verge, avec laquelle tu feras les signes.(FR) 17 ׃4 וְאֶת־הַמַּטֶּ֥ה הַזֶּ֖ה תִּקַּ֣ח בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֶׂה־בּ֖וֹ אֶת־הָאֹתֹֽת׃ פ Exodus Exo 4:17 You shall take in your hand this staff, with which you shall perform the signs."(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:18 ============ Exo 4:18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.(KJV) Exodus 4:18 Therefore Moses went and returned to Iethro his father in lawe, & said vnto him, I pray thee, let me goe, and returne to my brethren, which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet aliue. Then Iethro said to Moses, Go in peace.(Geneva) Exode 4:18 Moïse s'en alla; et de retour auprès de Jéthro, son beau-père, il lui dit: Laisse-moi, je te prie, aller rejoindre mes frères qui sont en Egypte, afin que je voie s'ils sont encore vivants. Jéthro dit à Moïse: Va en paix.(FR) 18 ׃4 וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ מֹשֶׁ֜ה וַיָּ֣שָׁב ׀ אֶל־יֶ֣תֶר חֹֽתְנ֗וֹ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ אֵ֣לֲכָה נָּ֗א וְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ אֶל־אַחַ֣י אֲשֶׁר־בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וְאֶרְאֶ֖ה הַעוֹדָ֣ם חַיִּ֑ים וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יִתְר֛וֹ לְמֹשֶׁ֖ה לֵ֥ךְ לְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ Exodus Exo 4:18 Then Moses departed and returned to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, "Please, let me go, that I may return to my brethren who are in Egypt, and see if they are still alive." And Jethro said to Moses, "Go in peace."(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:19 ============ Exo 4:19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life.(KJV) Exodus 4:19 (For the Lord had said vnto Moses in Midian, Goe, returne to Egypt: for they are all dead which went about to kill thee)(Geneva) Exode 4:19 L'Eternel dit à Moïse, en Madian: Va, retourne en Egypte, car tous ceux qui en voulaient à ta vie sont morts.(FR) 19 ׃4 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֤ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֙ בְּמִדְיָ֔ן לֵ֖ךְ שֻׁ֣ב מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּי־מֵ֙תוּ֙ כָּל־הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים הַֽמְבַקְשִׁ֖ים אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ Exodus Exo 4:19 Now the Lord said to Moses in Midian, "Go back to Egypt, for all the men who were seeking your life are dead."(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:20 ============ Exo 4:20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.(KJV) Exodus 4:20 Then Moses tooke his wife, & his sonnes, and put them on an asse, and returned towarde the lande of Egypt, and Moses tooke the rod of God in his hand.(Geneva) Exode 4:20 Moïse prit sa femme et ses fils, les fit monter sur des ânes, et retourna dans le pays d'Egypte. Il prit dans sa main la verge de Dieu.(FR) 20 ׃4 וַיִּקַּ֨ח מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֣וֹ וְאֶת־בָּנָ֗יו וַיַּרְכִּבֵם֙ עַֽל־הַחֲמֹ֔ר וַיָּ֖שָׁב אַ֣רְצָה מִצְרָ֑יִם וַיִּקַּ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־מַטֵּ֥ה הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ Exodus Exo 4:20 So Moses took his wife and his sons and mounted them on a donkey, and returned to the land of Egypt. Moses also took the staff of God in his hand.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:21 ============ Exo 4:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.(KJV) Exodus 4:21 And the Lorde saide vnto Moses, When thou art entred and come into Egypt againe, see that thou doe all the wonders before Pharaoh, which I haue put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, and he shall not let the people goe.(Geneva) Exode 4:21 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: En partant pour retourner en Egypte, vois tous les prodiges que je mets en ta main: tu les feras devant Pharaon. He then performed the signs in the sight of the people.(nasb) ======= Exodus 4:31 ============ Exo 4:31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.(kjv) Exodus 4:31 And the people beleeued, and when they heard that the Lorde had visited the children of Israel, and had looked vpon their tribulation, they bowed downe, and worshipped.(Geneva) Exode 4:31 Et le peuple crut.
