Today's Date: ======= 1 Kings 16:1 ============ 1Ki 16:1 Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,(KJV) 1 Kings 16:1 Then the word of the Lord came to Iehu the sonne of Hanani against Baasha, saying,(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:1 La parole de l'Eternel fut ainsi adressée à Jéhu, fils de Hanani, contre Baescha:(FR) 1 ׃16 וַיְהִ֤י דְבַר־יְהוָה֙ אֶל־יֵה֣וּא בֶן־חֲנָ֔נִי עַל־בַּעְשָׁ֖א לֵאמֹֽר׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:2 ============ 1Ki 16:2 Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;(KJV) 1 Kings 16:2 Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, & made thee captaine ouer my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Ieroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sinne, to prouoke me with their sinnes,(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:2 Je t'ai élevé de la poussière, et je t'ai établi chef de mon peuple d'Israël; mais parce que tu as marché dans la voie de Jéroboam, et que tu as fait pécher mon peuple d'Israël, pour m'irriter par leurs péchés,(FR) 2 ׃16 יַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֲרִימֹתִ֙יךָ֙ מִן־הֶ֣עָפָ֔ר וָאֶתֶּנְךָ֣ נָגִ֔יד עַ֖ל עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַתֵּ֣לֶךְ ׀ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יָרָבְעָ֗ם וַֽתַּחֲטִא֙ אֶת־עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהַכְעִיסֵ֖נִי בְּחַטֹּאתָֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:2 "Inasmuch as I exalted you from the dust and made you leader over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made My people Israel sin, provoking Me to anger with their sins,(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:3 ============ 1Ki 16:3 Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:3 Beholde, I will take away the posteritie of Baasha, and the posteritie of his house, and will make thine house like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:3 voici, je vais balayer Baescha et sa maison, et je rendrai ta maison semblable à la maison de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath.(FR) 3 ׃16 הִנְנִ֥י מַבְעִ֛יר אַחֲרֵ֥י בַעְשָׁ֖א וְאַחֲרֵ֣י בֵית֑וֹ וְנָֽתַתִּי֙ אֶת־בֵּ֣יתְךָ֔ כְּבֵ֖ית יָרָבְעָ֥ם בֶּן־נְבָֽט׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:3 behold, I will consume Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:4 ============ 1Ki 16:4 Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:4 He that dyeth of Baashas stocke in the citie, him shal the dogs eate: and that man of him which dyeth in the fieldes, shall the foules of the ayre eate.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:4 Celui de la maison de Baescha qui mourra dans la ville sera mangé par les chiens, et celui des siens qui mourra dans les champs sera mangé par les oiseaux du ciel.(FR) 4 ׃16 הַמֵּ֤ת לְבַעְשָׁא֙ בָּעִ֔יר יֹֽאכְל֖וּ הַכְּלָבִ֑ים וְהַמֵּ֥ת לוֹ֙ בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה יֹאכְל֖וּ ע֥וֹף הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:4 Anyone of Baasha who dies in the city the dogs will eat, and anyone of his who dies in the field the birds of the heavens will eat."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:5 ============ 1Ki 16:5 Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?(KJV) 1 Kings 16:5 And the rest of the actes of Baasha & what he did, & his power, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:5 Le reste des actions de Baescha, ce qu'il a fait, et ses exploits, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël?(FR) 5 ׃16 וְיֶ֨תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י בַעְשָׁ֛א וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה וּגְבֽוּרָת֑וֹ הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:5 Now the rest of the acts of Baasha and what he did and his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? Et Ela, son fils, régna à sa place.(FR) 6 ׃16 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב בַּעְשָׁא֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵ֖ר בְּתִרְצָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אֵלָ֥ה בְנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:6 And Baasha slept with his fathers and was buried in Tirzah, and Elah his son became king in his place.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:7 ============ 1Ki 16:7 And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:7 And also by the hande of Iehu the sonne of Hanani the Prophet, came the worde of the Lord to Baasha, and to his house, that he shoulde be like the house of Ieroboam, euen for all the wickednes that he did in the sight of the Lord, in prouoking him with the worke of his hands, and because he killed him.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:7 La parole de l'Eternel s'était manifestée par le prophète Jéhu, fils de Hanani, contre Baescha et contre sa maison, soit à cause de tout le mal qu'il avait fait sous les yeux de l'Eternel, en l'irritant par l'oeuvre de ses mains et en devenant semblable à la maison de Jéroboam, soit parce qu'il avait frappé la maison de Jéroboam.(FR) 7 ׃16 וְגַ֡ם בְּיַד־יֵה֨וּא בֶן־חֲנָ֜נִי הַנָּבִ֗יא דְּבַר־יְהוָ֡ה הָיָה֩ אֶל־בַּעְשָׁ֨א וְאֶל־בֵּית֜וֹ וְעַ֥ל כָּל־הָרָעָ֣ה ׀ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה ׀ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה לְהַכְעִיסוֹ֙ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדָ֔יו לִהְי֖וֹת כְּבֵ֣ית יָרָבְעָ֑ם וְעַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־הִכָּ֖ה אֹתֽוֹ׃ פ Kings1 1Ki 16:7 Moreover, the word of the Lord through the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani also came against Baasha and his household, both because of all the evil which he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck it.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:8 ============ 1Ki 16:8 In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:8 In the sixe and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah began Elah ye sonne of Baasha to reigne ouer Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two yeere.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:8 La vingt-sixième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, Ela, fils de Baescha, régna sur Israël à Thirtsa. Il régna deux ans.(FR) 8 ׃16 בִּשְׁנַ֨ת עֶשְׂרִ֤ים וָשֵׁשׁ֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ אֵלָ֨ה בֶן־בַּעְשָׁ֧א עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּתִרְצָ֖ה שְׁנָתָֽיִם׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha became king over Israel at Tirzah, and reigned two years.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:9 ============ 1Ki 16:9 And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:9 And his seruant Zimri, captaine of halfe his charets, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah drinking, til he was drunken in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:9 Son serviteur Zimri, chef de la moitié des chars, conspira contre lui. Ela était à Thirtsa, buvant et s'enivrant dans la maison d'Artsa, chef de la maison du roi à Thirtsa.(FR) 9 ׃16 וַיִּקְשֹׁ֤ר עָלָיו֙ עַבְדּ֣וֹ זִמְרִ֔י שַׂ֖ר מַחֲצִ֣ית הָרָ֑כֶב וְה֤וּא בְתִרְצָה֙ שֹׁתֶ֣ה שִׁכּ֔וֹר בֵּ֣ית אַרְצָ֔א אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הַבַּ֖יִת בְּתִרְצָֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:9 His servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was at Tirzah drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household at Tirzah.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:10 ============ 1Ki 16:10 And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:10 And Zimri came and smote him & killed him, in the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah, and reigned in his stead.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:10 Zimri entra, le frappa et le tua, la vingt-septième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, et il régna à sa place.(FR) 10 ׃16 וַיָּבֹ֤א זִמְרִי֙ וַיַּכֵּ֣הוּ וַיְמִיתֵ֔הוּ בִּשְׁנַת֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים וָשֶׁ֔בַע לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:10 Then Zimri went in and struck him and put him to death in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and became king in his place.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:11 ============ 1Ki 16:11 And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:11 And when he was King, and sate on his throne, he slew al the house of Baasha, not leauing thereof one to pisse against a wall, neither of his kinsfolkes nor of his friendes.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:11 Lorsqu'il fut roi et qu'il fut assis sur son trône, il frappa toute la maison de Baescha, il ne laissa échapper personne qui lui appartînt, ni parent ni ami.(FR) 11 ׃16 וַיְהִ֨י בְמָלְכ֜וֹ כְּשִׁבְתּ֣וֹ עַל־כִּסְא֗וֹ הִכָּה֙ אֶת־כָּל־בֵּ֣ית בַּעְשָׁ֔א לֹֽא־הִשְׁאִ֥יר ל֖וֹ מַשְׁתִּ֣ין בְּקִ֑יר וְגֹאֲלָ֖יו וְרֵעֵֽהוּ׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:11 It came about when he became king, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he killed all the household of Baasha; he did not leave a single male, neither of his relatives nor of his friends.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:12 ============ 1Ki 16:12 Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:12 So did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord which he spake against Baasha by the hande of Iehu the Prophet,(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:12 Zimri détruisit toute la maison de Baescha, selon la parole que l'Eternel avait dite contre Baescha par Jéhu, le prophète,(FR) 12 ׃16 וַיַּשְׁמֵ֣ד זִמְרִ֔י אֵ֖ת כָּל־בֵּ֣ית בַּעְשָׁ֑א כִּדְבַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֶל־בַּעְשָׁ֔א בְּיַ֖ד יֵה֥וּא הַנָּבִֽיא׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:12 Thus Zimri destroyed all the household of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which He spoke against Baasha through Jehu the prophet,(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:13 ============ 1Ki 16:13 For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:13 For all the sinnes of Baasha, and sinnes of Elah his sonne, which they sinned & made Israel to sinne, and prouoked the Lorde God of Israel with their vanities.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:13 cause de tous les péchés que Baescha et Ela, son fils, avaient commis et qu'ils avaient fait commettre à Israël, irritant par leurs idoles l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël.(FR) 13 ׃16 אֶ֚ל כָּל־חַטֹּ֣אות בַּעְשָׁ֔א וְחַטֹּ֖אות אֵלָ֣ה בְנ֑וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטְא֗וּ וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר הֶחֱטִ֙יאוּ֙ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהַכְעִ֗יס אֶת־יְהוָ֛ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּהַבְלֵיהֶֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:13 for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and which they made Israel sin, provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their idols.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:14 ============ 1Ki 16:14 Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?(KJV) 1 Kings 16:14 And the rest of the actes of Elah, & all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:14 Le reste des actions d'Ela, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël?(FR) 14 ׃16 וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י אֵלָ֖ה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֽוֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ Kings1 1Ki 16:14 Now the rest of the acts of Elah and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:15 ============ 1Ki 16:15 In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:15 In the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa King of Iudah did Zimri reigne seuen dayes in Tirzah, & the people was then in campe against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistims.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:15 La vingt-septième année d'Asa, roi de Juda, Zimri régna sept jours à Thirtsa. Now the people were camped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:16 ============ 1Ki 16:16 And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:16 And the people of the hoste heard saye, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slayne the King. Therefore all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:17 ============ 1Ki 16:17 And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:17 Then Omri went vp from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:17 Omri et tout Israël avec lui partirent de Guibbethon, et ils assiégèrent Thirtsa.(FR) 17 ׃16 וַיַּעֲלֶ֥ה עָמְרִ֛י וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל עִמּ֖וֹ מִֽגִּבְּת֑וֹן וַיָּצֻ֖רוּ עַל־תִּרְצָֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 16:17 Then Omri and all Israel with him went up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 16:18 ============ 1Ki 16:18 And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died.(KJV) 1 Kings 16:18 And when Zimri saw, that the citie was taken, he went into the palace of the Kings house, and burnt himselfe, and the Kings house with fire, and so dyed,(Geneva) 1 Rois 16:18 Zimri, voyant que la ville était prise, se retira dans le palais de la maison du roi, et brûla sur lui la maison du roi.
